It's a busy day at Great Lakes City airport, the Santiagos and Casagrandes are all about to say good bye to Ronnie Anne. She's about to spend Spring break in Peru with her dad Arturo, he already left a few days earlier.
"I wish I can tag along too, but someone has to run the Mercado during Spring break." Bobby said.
"I'll tell dad you said hi." Ronnie Anne said.
Frida bursted into tears as she hugged Ronnie Anne tightly. "I hope you have a great time in Peru!" Frida cried.
Carlos and Carlota both pried Frida off of Ronnie Anne as she was still crying. Rosa approach Ronnie Anne with a paper bag in hands. "I made some tamales for your flight." Rosa said.
"Thanks Abuela." Ronnie Anne said as she took the bag.
"Now I want you to be careful down in Peru. You never know what danger lurks." Maria said as she hugged her daughter.
"I'll be fine mom." Ronnie Anne said. Once Ronnie Anne hears the now boarding from P.A speaker. Ronnie Anne managed to say her good byes and boards the plane.
A few hours later, the plane lands in the Peruvian airport, Ronnie Anne exits the plane and sees her father. "Hey kido." Arturo greeted as Ronnie Anne ran up to him and hugged him. "Did you enjoyed your flight?"
"It was alright." Ronnie Anne shrugged. "I am so ready for Spring Break."
"Good, because I a lot of things planned for your visit." Arturo said. "Like check out some Aztec ruins, but I had to make sure we avoid some bad men."
"Bad men?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"There have been some mercenaries have been lurking around the jungle." Arturo said. "You need to stay with me or one of my co-workers at all times." He explained as the two walked through the airport.
"Is it going to affect my Spring Break?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Of course not. Me and my co-workers have mapped out where those mercenaries have been. But you need to listen to me and my co-workers. Understood?" Arturo said.
"I got it." Ronnie Anne replied.
They exited the airport and see a green jeep, where a Brazilian woman with black hair in a ponytail, wearing brown shorts, black t-shirt, brown vest and brown boots. "Ronnie Anne, I want you to meet one of my co-workers, Emilia Cruz." Arturo introduced as she exited the jeep.
"Hi. You must be Ronnie Anne? I'm Emilia Cruz, I hope you're ready for a great time." Emilia said as she opened the back of the jeep.
"Yeah I sure am." Ronnie Anne said as Emilia loaded Ronnie Anne's suitcase in the jeep and after they all three entered the jeep with Emilia in the driver's seat.
"You already told your daughter about those mercenaries?" Emilia asked as she started the jeep and drove off.
"Yes, I told her about those mercenaries." Arturo replied.
"Why are they near the Amazon?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"They're either looking for treasure, drugs or god knows what else?" Arturo sighed in response. "We don't know why our boss won't let us get out of the Amazon? Just avoid them."
"Sounds like a bad boss." Ronnie Anne said.
"Yeah pretty much." Emilia said. "But for now, we don't bother them. They don't bother us."
"So roommates rules? Got it." Ronnie Anne said.
Sometime later the sun has began to set, and the jeep drove through the Amazon rainforest. "Are we there yet?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"We are almost there sweetie." Arturo said right before the jeep came to a complete halt. The trio looked ahead and see a downed tree blocking the road.
Emilia and Arturo exited the jeep and walked towards the down tree. "This wasn't down this morning?" Arturo said.
"Maybe it fell when we were picking up your daughter?" Emilia questioned.
Before Arturo can reply a group of mercenaries wearing green camouflage armed with assault rifles emerged from trees and bushes and aimed them at Arturo and Emilia. One mercenary dragged Ronnie Anne out of the jeep and forced her and the two adults to get on their knees.
"What do you guys want from us?!" Emilia questioned in fear.
"We're taking you three hostage." One mercenary said.
"You leave my daughter out of this!" Arturo begged.
"You know the location of a powerful artifact." Another mercenary stated.
"What artifact!?" Emilia questioned. Before they can get an answer, an arrow hits a mercenary in the chest killing him.
"It's the spirit of the jungle!" Another mercenary shouted and began to open fire in the tree, while some arrows are shot from the trees. While they were distracted, the three began to run away from the fight.
"The hostages are getting away!" Two mercenaries began to chase after Ronnie Anne, Arturo and Emilia throughout the jungle. They ran as the two mercenaries chase them.
"Don't look back Ronalda!" Arturo said as they continued to run. However they approached a cliff and the whole thing they see down below is a river. They look behind them and see the two mercenaries approaching them. Ronnie Anne slowly back away, but she was on the edge of the cliff and it broke causing her to fall into the river.
"RONALDA!" Arturo cried out as he watched his daughter fall into the river below. Ronnie Anne was struggling to keep her ahead above the water as the current sweep her away until Arturo couldn't see her.
But the moment was short lived when one of the mercenaries drags Arturo and pushes him to the ground, and the other one grabs Emilia pushes her down to the ground.
Meanwhile Ronnie Anne was passed out and washed up by a shore by some rocks. But then a woman in her twenties with long blonde hair that reached her chest, wearing leopard loincloth styled like a bikini but the bottom part resembled that of a skirt. The woman picked up the passed out Ronnie Anne and carried her off.
A/N: This is something I wanted to do a jungle type story. There will be some fantasy elements thrown in the mix. I'm still working out how the rest of the story play out. I've seen a fanfic where Ronnie Anne became a jungle warrior, but it wasn't updated since 2020. Please read and review.
