Leafstorm
"L-Luna?!" you stammer, taking a cautious step back. Your voice is a mix of confusion and fear as you try to make sense of the situation.
She tilts her head slightly, her smile never faltering. "Senpai," she coos, her tone sweet but laced with something darker. "You're finally here. I've waited so long for this moment."
Your eyes dart around the room, searching for anything that might help you de-escalate the situation—or protect yourself if it comes to that. The stuffed animals and fairy lights now seem haunting, a backdrop to this surreal nightmare.
Dialogue Choices:
1. "Luna, what the fuck is wrong with you?!"
2. "Luna, what's going on?"
3. "..."
…
Leaf: "What the fuck!"
Ness: "This is why I told you to ignore her pain and watch the light show."
Leaf: "W-what! Weren't we gonna walk her back home anyway?"
Ness: "Well after the light show, a friend of hers shows up and the three of us walk her back home. Once you arrive at her place, her friend happily lets herself in, but you and Luna stand at the front of the door, while her friend goes straight to the kitchen, you either have a chance to kiss or friendzone her."
Leaf: "Oh my god!"
Ness: "Hahaha!"
Leaf: "What the fuck is this game?!"
Ness: "A beautiful one."
Leaf: "W-what do I do now?"
Ness: "I tried to help you get the good ending, but you didn't listen. You're on your own~"
Leaf: "You dick…"
Ness: "Hahaha~"
Leaf: "I guess I'm choosing option two."
…
"Luna, what's going on?" you ask, trying to keep your voice calm, even as panic wells up inside you. "Why do you have that knife?"
She steps closer, her movements slow and deliberate. "You don't understand, do you?" she murmurs, almost lovingly. "This is all for us. You just... haven't realized it yet."
Your mind races as you inch toward the door, every muscle in your body screaming at you to run, but your concern for her keeps you rooted. You have to figure out how to defuse this before it spirals further out of control.
"Luna, I'm here," you say softly. "Let's just talk, okay? Put the knife down, and we can figure this out together."
Her smile twitches, and for a moment, it seems like she might listen. But then she shakes her head, her grip tightening. "No. You don't get to leave me. Not now. Not ever."
She swipes her knife at you, but you're able to dodge. You bolt out the door. However, you see that the stairs are covered in oil. Quick! You have to think.
What will you do?
1. Run to the left hallway.
2. Run to the right hallway.
…
Leaf: "I don't know!"
Ness: "Hurry! You're timed."
Leaf: "What!"
Leaf's eyes widened as the timer on the left side of the screen ticked down rapidly, each second feeling like a lifetime. Her fingers trembled over the keyboard, and in a burst of panic, she slammed down on option two.
"I-I chose two!" she blurted out, her voice shaky as the tension gripped her. She glanced nervously at Ness, hoping she hadn't made the wrong call.
When she looked at him, Ness was already watching her. His expression wasn't one of judgment but rather amusement. His lips curled into a wide, toothy grin that carried a hint of mischief. He then pulled his attention back to the screen and started reading the text box out loud.
…
You dart to the right, your heart pounding in your chest as you reach a door at the end of the hall. Without a second thought, you shove it open and step inside. The dim light flickers above, revealing the familiar layout of a laundry bathroom hybrid.
Instinct takes over, and you lock the door behind you, twisting the knob to ensure it's secure. Your breath comes in short, frantic gasps as your eyes dart around the room, scanning for anything that could serve as a weapon—a broom, a detergent bottle, anything.
But then, something else catches your attention. The dryer. It's humming softly, its glass door faintly illuminated. A chill runs down your spine as a horrible sense of dread washes over you.
Compelled by a mix of fear and morbid curiosity, you step closer, your hand trembling as it grips the handle. You yank the door open.
Inside, crammed into the small, circular drum, is your best friend's severed head: Kevin. His face is twisted in an expression of terror, his lifeless eyes staring back at you. Blood smears the inside of the dryer, and his body... it's nowhere to be found.
A scream rips from your throat, raw and piercing, echoing through the small room. Tears blur your vision as you stumble backward, clutching your chest as sobs wrack your body.
"Kevin... no," you choke out, your voice breaking. Your mind races, unable to process the horror before you. Fear tightens its grip around you, and the room begins to spin.
A faint noise from outside the door snaps you back to the present. Luna is still out there... and now, more than ever, you know you have to survive. For Kevin. For yourself. For the truth behind this nightmare.
BAM! BAM!
The door rattles violently as Luna slams her bat against it, the harsh sound echoing through the cramped laundry room. Each thunderous hit sends your heart racing faster. You scramble to your feet, your eyes darting around the room in desperation. There's no time to waste. Your gaze locks onto three potential weapons.
Which will you choose?
1. A Rusty Wrench – It's heavy and solid, sitting on top of the washing machine. Though old, it looks capable of delivering a strong blow. The rust, however, makes you question its reliability.
2. A Bottle of Bleach – It rests on a nearby shelf, full and ready to be used. If you're quick enough, you could throw it or splash it to buy time.
3. A Clothes Iron – It's plugged in and still warm, perched precariously on the ironing board. Its sharp, pointed edge could be deadly, and the heat might give you an extra advantage.
Luna's voice cuts through the chaos, sing-song and unsettling. "Come out, come out, wherever you are, Senpai~!" Another crack of the bat against the door makes you jump.
…
Ness: "So which one?"
Leaf: "Why is this a horror game now?"
Ness: "Are you scared?"
Leaf: "Yeah, actually. My heart is racing."
Ness: "Please, after being kidnapped three times, fighting a Wendigo twice, and surviving a zombie apocalypse. This is nothing~"
Leaf: "Okay brave one. Why don't you take control then?"
Ness: "No, this is all you. You wanted my laptop, so now you get to be in charge."
Leaf: "But I'm scared. Is this game graphic?"
Ness: "Maybe a little."
Leaf: "Nooo, you take the wheel."
Ness: "Don't worry, you'll be safe."
Leaf: "But…"
Ness: "You got this."
Leaf: "Ugh, I hate you."
Ness: *Chuckles*
…
The weight of the clothes iron feels solid in your hand as you grip it tightly, heart pounding in your chest. With a deep breath, you yank the door open, catching Luna completely off guard. Her manic grin twists into a mask of surprise as you swing the iron with all your might.
The hot metal connects with her face, and she lets out a blood-curdling scream, stumbling backward. The impact sends her bat clattering to the floor, echoing loudly in the narrow hallway. She collapses onto the ground, clutching her face, her wild eyes brimming with a mix of pain and fury.
You step back, still holding the iron like a lifeline, your breath coming in sharp, shallow gasps. Luna writhes on the floor, glaring up at you with a chilling intensity. "You shouldn't have done that!" she hisses through clenched teeth, her voice dripping with venom.
The moment feels frozen in time, but the danger is far from over. Luna is down, but not out, and you know she's not going to give up easily.
What do you do next?
1. Kill her.
2. Run away.
3. Call the police.
…
Leaf: "Shit! What should I do?"
Ness: "Whatever feels natural."
Leaf: "Why is the kill option all in bold?"
Ness: "Because it's intense."
Leaf: "I don't wanna kill her."
Ness: "But she's psychotic."
Leaf: "Ness, if I did this to you, would you kill me?"
Ness: "Absolutely."
Leaf: "What!"
Ness: "What? You're trying to kill me!"
Leaf: "Wow, Ness. I thought you were a good person."
Ness: "Hahaha! Okay, okay, I wouldn't kill you. I would just make sure you could barely move, so that there's no chance you could pop up and kill me."
Leaf: "Wow."
Ness: "Oh come on, you'd do the same."
Leaf: "Hahaha! Maybe."
Ness: "So, are you going to kill her?"
Leaf: "No, I'm going to run. I don't do well with gore."
Ness: "Who says it's going to be gory?"
Leaf: "It's not?"
Ness: "No it is~"
Leaf gave him a playful shove, her laughter bubbling up despite the tension from the game. "Seriously, Ness, if I were playing this alone, I'd have turned it off ages ago. This game is way too scary for me."
Ness chuckled, leaning back a little with a smug grin. "Well, I'm glad I could make it enjoyable for you," he replied, his words broken up by his own laughter.
The two sat there, the earlier tension from the game dissolving away. Leaf wiped a stray tear from her eye, still laughing. "It's probably your commentary," she said, smirking. "If I didn't have you making jokes, I'd be hiding under a blanket right now."
"Hey, I'm not just here for my witty commentary," Ness quipped, leaning slightly toward her. "I'm also here to make sure you don't throw my laptop out the window when it gets too intense."
Leaf rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress her grin. "Yeah, yeah. You're my hero," she teased, nudging him again.
The two settled back into their seats, the game still waiting on the screen, but for now, the horror felt far away, replaced by the warmth of shared laughter.
…
You burst through the door of your house, locking it behind you with shaking hands. Your mind races, adrenaline still surging through your veins as you try to process what just happened.
Inside the safety of your home, you quickly assess your options.
What do you do?
1. Barricade the house.
2. Try to calm down.
3. Call the police.
4. Play fortnite.
5. Kill yourself.
…
Leaf: "Why is killing yourself an option?"
Ness: *Shrugs* "I don't know."
Leaf: "Well definitely not that one. The whole point is to survive. Hahaha! This is a stupid game."
Ness: "I know, I love how ridiculous it is."
Leaf: "I guess I call the police."
…
You call the police.
Police: "911, what's your emergency?"
You: "Hi, yes! A woman killed my friend and now she's after me."
Police: "What's your address?"
You tell her your address and Luna's.
Police: "And what is her name?"
You: "Luna."
Police: "Do you know her last name?"
You: "Luna."
Police: "No sir, I asked for her last name."
You: "Her name is Luna Luna."
Police: "Uh... okay. Um, stay where you are. We're coming to rescue you."
You: "Thank you. Please hurry."
You wait for the police to arrive. In the meantime...
What do you do?
1. Try to calm down.
2. Search the house.
3. Cry.
…
Leaf: "Honestly, I think I'm going to cry."
Ness: "Seriously?"
Leaf: "Yeah. I'm trying to make it realistic."
Ness: "I thought you were scared."
Leaf: "Not anymore, teehee!"
…
You collapse onto the couch, your body shaking with uncontrollable sobs. The weight of everything that just happened crushes you. Kevin… your best friend, the one who always had your back, is gone. And Luna—sweet, kind Luna—wasn't who you thought she was.
Between gasps for air, your mind replays the horrifying scene: her wide, unsettling smile, the gleam of the knife in her hand, and Kevin's lifeless head in the dryer. It's too much to handle.
You bury your face in your hands, tears streaming down your cheeks. "Why?" you whisper to the empty room, your voice cracking under the weight of your emotions. "How could this happen?"
The room feels colder, quieter, as though even the house is mourning. Every shadow feels alive, every sound makes you flinch. You can't shake the feeling that this isn't over, that Luna might still be out there, waiting.
But for now, you can't move. All you can do is cry, the reality of it all sinking in deeper with each passing second.
Suddenly you hear something. Faint footsteps.
What do you do?
1. Continue to cry.
2. Check it out.
3. Leave the house.
…
Leaf: "Well the police told me to stay, so I'm gonna check it out."
Ness: "Mkay."
…
You decide to check it out.
Where do you check first?
1. The bathroom.
2. The kitchen.
3. Your room.
…
Leaf: "I'll check my room."
Ness: "Mkay~"
Leaf: "What?"
Ness: "What?"
Leaf: "Is it the wrong move?"
Ness: "That's for you to find out."
Leaf: "Never mind, I'm checking the bathroom."
Ness: "Okay~"
Leaf: "Stop!"
Ness: "What?"
Leaf: "You're making me feel like I'm choosing the wrong choice."
Ness: "Hahaha! Just ignore me."
Leaf: "I can't! You're making me nervous."
Ness: "Do what your heart is telling you to do."
…
You decided to check the bathroom. When you open the door you are immediately met with Luna. You let out a scream as you see her burnt face. She gives you a creepy smile and stabs you in the heart multiple times causing you to die from blood loss.
As you collapse to the floor, your vision blurs, the edges of your world fading to black. The last thing you see is Luna standing over you, her grotesque smile burned into your mind as the life drains from your body. The room feels colder, your heartbeat slowing to nothingness as her soft giggle echoes in your ears like a haunting lullaby.
GAME OVER
The screen fades to black, and ominous text appears:
"You got the bad ending."
...
A chilling tune plays in the background. The "Try Again" and "Main Menu" options appear on the screen, mocking the player's failure.
Leaf stares at the screen, her hand over her mouth. "Oh my god… that was horrifying!" she exclaims, her voice trembling slightly.
Ness leans back, trying to stifle his laughter. "I told you to just watch the lantern show. I tried to help."
Leaf: "I couldn't just leave her suffering."
Ness: "Yeah, well, next time you should listen to me."
Leaf: "Oh shut up."
Ness: "Hahaha~"
Leaf: "What kind of dating sim is this? This was ridiculous."
Ness: "It's a unique one. I was trying to lead you to the normal route, but you took the horror one instead."
Leaf: "I'm curious, what are the other routes?"
Ness: "There's the basic normal lovey dovey route, the friend zone route, the horror one as you saw, and the…"
Leaf: "The?"
Ness: "Y'know… Hahaha!"
Leaf: "You're gross."
Ness: "I'm a guy."
Leaf: "Hahaha! You're stupid. Anyway, that was fun. Scary and unexpected, but honestly fun. I got engrossed immediately."
Ness: "It's a good game, right?"
Leaf: "It is. What's it called again? I wanna play it on my own time."
Ness: "Luna Luna."
Leaf: "I'll remember that."
Ding!
Ding!
Ness grabbed his phone and checked the notification.
[- Tina
Tina: heyyy sexy
Tina: wanna come overr
Ness: S-sexy?!
Tina: ur very sexy
Tina: u should come overr
Ness: Okay! I'm on my way!
…
Leaf: "Who was that?"
Ness: "Oh it's nothing. But it is getting late. I should head back."
Leaf: "Oh, okay… Well, this was fun!"
Ness: "It was! Next time you pick what we should do."
Leaf: "Me?"
Ness: "Yup. That's your homework."
Leaf: "Homework? You're funny."
Ness: "I know. I'm hilarious. Everyone on the internet sure thinks so."
Leaf: "Hahaha! True."
Ness grabbed his laptop, carefully closing it before slipping it into his rucksack. He slung the bag over his shoulder, glancing at Leaf with a small grin. "Thanks for playing with me," he said, his voice light.
Leaf waved him off with a chuckle. "Yes it was fun. Though, maybe next time, let's play a normal game."
He laughed, giving her a peace sign before stepping out of her room and into the dimly lit hallway. The soft hum of the mansion's lights followed him as he made his way down the corridor, a spring in his step.
Reaching Tina's place, he rapped his knuckles against the door, the sound echoing in the quiet night. A moment later, the door swung open to reveal Tina. Her striking eyes locked onto his, and a slow, suggestive smile spread across her lips. She leaned against the doorframe, her posture relaxed but her gaze playful.
"I've been waiting for you~" she teased, her voice dripping with mischief.
Ness's cheeks burned a bright crimson, his breath catching in his throat as he hesitated on the doorstep. He stood frozen, unsure if he should take the next step. Tina's amused giggle broke through the tension, her playful expression softening as she reached out.
With a teasing smirk, she grabbed the collar of his shirt and gently pulled him inside, the door closing with a soft click behind him. The cozy warmth of her room wrapped around him.
Ness stood there awkwardly, his nerves clear in the way he fidgeted with the strap of his rucksack. His gaze flickered to Tina, who was wearing sexy lingerie. He couldn't help but start to feel excited.
Without a moment's hesitation, Tina closed the distance between them. Her lips found his, warm and inviting, her boldness catching him off guard. Ness's eyes widened for a split second before they fluttered shut, his body instinctively responding. Her hands slid up to his shoulders, steadying herself as the kiss deepened, her tongue softly brushing against his.
A shiver ran down his spine as he found himself returning her energy. His hands moved to her waist, resting there before pulling her closer. They stumbled slightly as Tina guided them toward the bed, their movements synchronized yet unpracticed.
The tension in the room shifted, their breaths mingling as they paused for a moment, staring into each other's eyes. She bit her bottom lip and began peeling Ness's clothes off, her fingers working with a playful precision that made Ness's face grow even redder.
"I can't wait to fuck you," she whispered, her voice low and hot as she gently pushed him back onto the bed.
Caught off guard, Ness let out a startled "Ah!" as his back met the mattress. His heart raced wildly in his chest. He squeezed his eyes shut for a few seconds, trying to steady himself.
When he finally opened them, there she was—her face close to his, her weight resting lightly against him as she perched atop. Her gaze was intense yet tender, a soft smile playing on her lips that sent a wave of warmth and nervous energy coursing through him.
Ness bit his lip, his cheeks flushed a deep red as he struggled to meet her eyes. Instead, he turned his head slightly, focusing on the corner of the room, anything to distract himself from the overwhelming closeness. The nervousness caught up to him in full force, but mixed with it was a feeling he couldn't quite put into words—a mixture of excitement and vulnerability.
