Joe's pov

Not long later, Lori arrived, planting a quick kiss on my lips before sitting down next to me

"I brought my computer from the squad, so we can access all the databases we might need. Are you sure Connor should be here?"

I shrugged

"Maybe? Two Scream connoisseurs are better than one. He's helping with the list, that's it. Besides, isn't Lois coming over later?"

She sighed

"The babysitter flaked on my Mom. Again. And after the last time, Mom doesn't trust Lois to stay home alone, not that I blame her."

I winced in sympathy

"Sorry."

She smiled

"It's ok. Maybe we can just get that ice cream today instead of waiting."

That plan seemed acceptable, and my Lori spoke again

"So, possible victim names?"

Not bothering to look at our list, my brother and I rattled off

"Any name with Maureen, Prescott, Evans, Phil, Steven, Stevens, Riley, Tatum, Arthur, Himbry, Kenny, Randy, Meeks, McKenzie, Liv, Hicks, Judy, Wes, Roberts, Laura, Crane, Jenny, Marnie, Cici, Casey, Cecelia, Cooper, Randall, Orth, Annika, Stone, Hoss, Perkins, Kate, Dewey or Dwight, Tyson, Fox, Angelina, Tyler, Derek, Hallie, Feldman, McDaniels ... to start us off."

My girl looked at us, amazed

"You didn't even look!"

We grinned

"We know. Also, focus on Prescott, Maureen, Roberts, Dwight, Randy, Randall, Meeks or Riley. Those were the heavy hitters with the fans, so most likely to be replicated."

She shook her head in amazement

"You two are incredible. I'll flag the M.O. and these names on the database. Then my sister will be here and we can go for ice cream."

No sooner had she said that and flagged the intel, Lois arrived. I saw the blush on my brother's cheeks before I saw my girlfriend's sister. Connor spoke up

"Hey, Lois. How are you?"

She smiled

"I'm alright. How are you, Connor?"

He smiled

"Good. I'm good too. Hungry for ice cream."

She laughed

"Same. Wanna see who gets a brain freeze first."

That was a cue to go to the ice cream shop if I ever heard one, and, once we had arrived and gotten our orders, all four of us started eating, eager to see which one of us would get brain freeze first. I can't say I was surprised when that ended up being me. Or when Lori and I saw our younger siblings finally sharing a sweet, gentle kiss.
