Chapter 529 Sparks and Sail

In one part of Waterfall, the Smithy Gang member Punchinello was carefully planting bombs against one of the rocky walls and lightning their fuses before quickly backing away. The bombs exploded demolishing a good portion of the rocky wall. A few seconds later there was the sound of machines going and large fists punching that shook the rock wall from the other side before it crumbled down revealing the Best Fitness Friends, Dieter, Beef, and Kaley, along with the digging robot brothers Little Brother and Big Brother, and the Shadow Queen's three daughters Mirage, Demonica, and Spinner. The train the Fawful Express sat behind the group on some train tracks. The secret train track connecting New Home to Waterfall was complete. Now they just had to work on a track to Snowdin and Spirit's forces would be able to transport themselves all over the Underground with quick and incredible ease giving themselves a huge advantage over everyone else in the Underground, but now there was another mission that needed to be done.
"Good the tracks are complete. Now some of us will go meet up with the team on the X-Ship, while the rest stay and guard the train." Said Mirage.
"Who's going?" Asked Dieter.
"Me and my sisters and the Best Fitness Friends." Said Mirage.
Mirage had Demonica, Dieter, and Beef stand together and she used her powers to conjure a tornado around the three and lifted them off the ground. She flew off with the tornado behind her and Spinner and Kaley used their wings to fly after them, leaving Punchinello, Little Brother and Big Brother behind with the Fawful Express.
Elsewhere, Undyne, Rock Wizard, the two Eliminators, Huntress Wizard, Wendy, Stan, Gideon, Rain, Loke, and Mabel were meeting up with Toriel, Jenka, Isaac, Baby Depression, and Vector, Espio, and Charmy, at the Shellfish Corp shipyard. Firth the blue crab monster had also decided to tag along to meet Roland to see if he could get a well paying job from him or financial wisdom. Mabel was in a water filled wagon that was pulled by Rain, when they got close to the water near the shipyard Mabel had Rain lift her out of the wagon and drop her into the water. Rain jumped in to join her.
"We're going to explore for a bit." Called Mabel to the others.
"Alright but be careful and don't go too deep into the machine shop. This place is dangerous and I heard Roland has some kind of special giant monster he keeps in the machine shop that supposedly gives power to all the machines in Shellfish Corp." said Undyne.
"Ok." Said Mabel before she and Rain set out to explore.
"I'll go with them." Said Loke as he jumped in the water and followed the two.
Undyne and the others approached one of the crab workers and the Captain of the Royal Guard requested to see Roland. It only took a few minutes for Roland to come out of the office and approach the group.
"Well if it isn't Captain Undyne. What a surprise. What can I do for you today?" Said Roland.
"We got a tip that you've teamed up with some Legion of Light members and are planning to go after some X-Nauts who are raiding Valfars's vault." Said Undyne.
"I'm surprised you heard about that. Is there something you want?" Asked Roland.
"We wish to accompany you so we can either eliminate the X-Nauts and any other members of Spirit's forces or capture them. You can keep the treasure that you get on this raid, but any dangerous magical items will be confiscated." Said Undyne.
Roland liked the idea of bringing some extra tough fighters aboard his ships especially since he didn't have to pay them anything. The loss of magic items was a bit annoying, but a small price to pay.
"Very well, you may accompany me, my crew, and business partners on this enterprise." Said Roland.
"We will also like to speak with the Legion of Light members you are working with." Said Toriel.
"Anything for the lovely monster queen." Said Roland before walking off to get the Legion of Light members.
As that happened, Mabel, Rain, and Loke were exploring the waters of the shipyard, when they came across a large pipe that seemed to lead into the machine shop. The trio decided to check it out and went into the pipe. The pipe was mostly metal with some clear transparent plastic sections that allowed them to look around to see parts of the machine shop where machines were either being constructed or stripped down for parts and materials.
"Interesting place." Said Rain.
"Let's go deeper." Said Mabel.
"What about the monster, Undyne warned us about?" Asked Loke.
"It can't be that bad and if we see it, will just head back the way we can as fast as we can. If the mister tries to go after us I'll distract it with my magic." Said Mabel.
"You've improved your magic?" Asked Loke.
"I have. I can make shapes with the bubbles now as well as move them with a wave of my hands." Said Mabel with a bit of pride.
"It should prove to be a good distraction." Said Rain.
The trio moved on and the pipe they were traveling along became more smaller and narrow, before they entered a large chamber that had piles of junk, some cables, and some machinery. Other pipes poked into the chamber. Mabel and her companions wondered what kind of purpose the chamber served, when a sing song childish voice spoke out.
"The world these days is dark and mean. Even the water tastes unclean. And even those you love and trust would rip your limbs off if they must! Like Mister R, the one in charge. Who scrapped our homes to build his barge! But don't be gloomy, glum, or sad! Cuz down in here, it's not so bad! Save the crying for another day! Forest it all! Let's play!"
A pile of junk nearby shook and out burst a enormous eel monster! This was Voltai. She was Roland's secret weapon and the power source for most of the machines in his business. Voltai, was a large pink electric eel with many piercings, and electrical outlets lined up on her body. She had many scars along her body, blue eyes and a fin-like thing across her body that gave her the appearance of hair.
Voltai looked up at the three beings that had entered her chamber and wondered if they were new playmates Roland had sent down to her. The eel was excited and hoped these new playmates would last longer then the previous ones. Voltai raced up towards Mabel and the others. Mabel and her friends screamed and Mabel did the first thing that came to mind she used her magic to create some bubbles in the shape of fishes. Voltai stopped her rushing and stared at the bubbles in awe and wonder. Mabel and the others watched as Voltai followed the fish shaped bubbles and gave them a little poke with her snout pushing them through the water like some balls and let out a laugh.
"She's distracted let's get out of here!" Urged Loke trying to get the children to head to the pipe they had come from.
"No wait. I don't think this monster is evil or anything like that." Said Mabel before she made some more fish bubbles that floated towards Voltai that made the eel monster laugh.
"So what's the plan?" Asked Rain.
"I'm going to befriend that eel." Said Mabel before she swam towards Voltai.
Voltai turned her attention away from the bubbles and looked at Mabel.
"Hi there. I'm Mabel Pines! What's your name?" Said Mabel.
"I'm...Voltai." Said Voltia.
"That's a nice name, I bet you have a electrifying personality." Said Mabel.
"Thank you. Did Mr. R send you?" Asked Voltai.
"You mean Roland? No he didn't, we were just exploring and we found our way down here." Said Mabel.
"My name is Rain and this is Loke. Tell us Voltai how did you end up here and what exactly do you do?" Said Rain.
"Well before I came here I used to live in the open water when I was really young and small. Then one day a pile of junk collapsed and killed a bunch of water monsters including my parents. Mr. R saved me and tended to me before he put me in this chamber where he said I would safe and gave me a job using my electricity to power his machines. Every now and then Mr. R would send playmates down to me and tell me to play with them hard using my electricity and the junk in the chamber. I would play with them, until they got tired and they stopped moving, then Mr. R would take them away. He said it was a fun game and I did a good job." Said Voltai.
Mabel, Rain, and Loke paled at this news. It appeared Voltai had killed a bunch of people on Roland's behalf and didn't seem to realize what she had done and believed it to be some kind of game. The poor girl had unknowingly been turned into a killer.
"You know Voltai, Roland isn't a nice guy." Said Loke.
"He isn't?" Asked Voltai.
"He isn't. I mean he keeps you trapped down here and makes you power his machines. Roland is using you because you're useful to him. I mean does he ever allow you to leave this chamber?" Said Loke.
"No, but he says he'll let me out soon, though he's been saying that for a long time." Said Voltai with thought.
"No one should be held captive like this. You need to ditch that jerk and be free!" Said Mabel.
"I like the sound of being free." Said Voltai.
"Then let's see if we can help free you." Said Rain.
The group began to search the chamber. There were pipes that lead into the chamber, but they were too small for Voltai to go through and there was a very large door that Voltai could go through that lead into open water, but it was sealed tight.
"We can't get her out, we're going to need Undyne and the others help to free her." Said Loke.
"Will be back with help to free you Voltai. I promise you." Said Mabel before she and the others left the chamber through the pipe they had come from.
"Ok! Thank you friends!" Said Voltai.
"And don't play with anyone who enters this chamber. Just talk to them." Said Rain from the pipe.
"Ok!" Said Voltai.
Back on the surface the Legion of Light members, Cedric, Prism Knight, Six, and Staff met with Undyne's group. Six was surprised to see Toriel and Toriel just smiled at Six.
"Six there you are! I've been worried about you. I'm so happy you're safe." Said Toriel as she tried to walk over to Six, who backed away.
Cedric and Prism Knight stepped in front of Toriel.
"I'm sorry, but you are making our teammate uncomfortable. Please step back." Said Cedric.
"I'm the child's mother. Hand her back to me, I don't want her in your organization." Said Toriel scowling at the two knights.
"Six what do you want to do?" Asked Prism Knight looking back at Six.
Six didn't look back at either the knights or Toriel. She just had her back facing them.
"I don't think she feels like talking to anyone. Though to be honest she doesn't talk at all really." Said Staff.
Toriel glared at Staff and the Legion of Light members, who glared back. Undyne decided to step in before any fighting could breakout.
"Alright how about this. We finish this little mission and get it out of the way and then let Six decide who she wants to go with." Undyne.
"Fine by me." Said Toriel.
"We accept the terms." Said Cedric.
Mabel, Rain, and Loke popped out of the water nearby and signaled Undyne over. The trio told Undyne about what they discovered about Voltai and how they wanted to help and free her.
"I knew Roland was a sick creature up to something. Right now we have to deal with the X-Nauts raiding the vault and then will deal with Roland and free Voltai afterwards." Said Undye.
"Everyone gather aboard my barge. We're shipping out!" Said Roland using a bullhorn.
The crab workers, Legion of Light members, and Undyne's party goy onto a large barge that came equipped with powerful engines, harpoon guns, cannons, and a couple of clawed cranes using for lifting. Mabel, Rain, and Loke swam after the boat. The barge was accompanied by a large black, red, and gold pirate ship. It was called the Fellmuth and it was the ship used by Captain Skabb and the Skavengers.
The crews were determined to get the treasure from the vault, but unbeknownst to them there was a traitor and soy amongst them. That spy was Clawgrip a member of Popple and Croco's gang.
"This is Clawgrip the mission is on and soon the treasure will be ours soon." Said Clawgrip as he whispered into a tiny communicator.
"Excellent. The X-Nauts steal the treasure from the vault, the Legion of Light attack them, and in all the chaos and confusion we steal the treasure. A perfect and flawless plan." Said Popple.
Little did any of the parties know was that things weren't going to go exactly to plan and some unexpected chaos was going to unfold.
