Chapter 882: The Dodge Ball King and Queen Time!
(February 20. Royal Woods Middle School.)
Lincoln and Jordan are walking through the hallway, and they get to their lockers, and grab what they need. They then see the rest of their friends, and though some are acting as normal as it gets, they notice others are nervous and don't like what might happen today.
Jordan then realizes this. "Oh, let me guess. You guys are afraid of not being on our team for dodge ball session today?"
They all nod, and then Zach speaks. "I already told my parents that I love them, and that I might not be home for dinner." They all remain silent, and they question why he would speak a line that sounds like something from a movie.
Lincoln then speaks. "Guys calm down, look. We'll try and take it easy on ya." They all have doubts about that one, and are hoping they can survive or at least live to fight another day.
Leslie sighs. "Lincoln, Jordan. You guys are the Dodge Ball King and Queen, and that title is proven enough at Prom. So, chances the meaning of taking it easy on ya, is not a possibility to ever happen. You guys are a tag team of dodge ball annihilation."
Lincoln and Jordan chuckle. "We know." That part doesn't make the others feel safe, and they all see Trent, Lance and Artie, writing their wills.
Just then, they all see Clyde walking by them, and he looks furious. This surprises them all, and he doesn't seem like he wants to talk to anyone. "Dude, what the heck is going on with Clyde?" asked Rusty.
"Yeah, he looks super angry" replied Mollie, and then they see Chloe show up. "Hey, what the heck is up with your boyfriend? Why does he look like an angry Jordan?" Jordan looks to Mollie and she's questioning why she would say that.
Chloe sighs. "I don't know, I'm trying to figure that out, but he doesn't seem keen on explaining it to me. I think I should ask his dad's, but I think it might have something to do with whatever happened last night, but what?" She then goes to follow Clyde, and make sure he is fine.
The others are concerned about this. "This is just not normal for Clyde to get so furious and angry like that, and I have a bad feeling about today" replied Hassan.
"Somethin' tells me, that Clyde might be more than furious, I mean I feel like his head is filled with so much steam, that it's gonna be blowing up the roof of this school" replied Liam.
"Then I guess we'll have to see what's gonna happen next, once dodge ball comes around" replied Kat. They are all still afraid of dodge ball today, and yet Lincoln and Jordan are curious about Clyde and the state he's in, and they feel like he's going to show more rage when it comes down to Dodge ball.
(Later.)
It is dodge ball time, and everyone is ready… To face the music and feel a whole new world of hurt, in the hands of Lincoln B. Lewis, and Jordan Rosato. Truth be told, it has begun!
Dodge balls are flying everywhere, but some are taking cover, and are trying to stay alive and get out of this in one piece. Rusty yells and charges, but then he is struck by a dodge ball and he goes down to the ground in pain, and so Zach tries to drag him out of here.
Mollie and Sadie try to tag team and face the opposing front, but then Mollie is hit, and she falls to the ground, which alarms Sadie and she is struck too, and they lay down next to each other holding hands, then Tabby leaps over them and she throws her ball, and then she is struck and lands onto them.
Liam tries a trick which he did with horseshoes, but that stuff only works on horse shoes, and his ball is caught by Stella, and he is out and he walks away, but he ducks an incoming dodge ball and it hits Zach and he screams in pain dramatically and falls to the ground.
Dude, this is not World War 2!
On the other side, Lincoln and Jordan are both in sync and throwing like champs, alongside their team and once again proving why they are the Dodge Ball King and Queen, but then a dodge ball hits Leslie and she is out, and they all see Clyde and he looks upset.
"Oh, okay so I guess he's channeling his rage in here now" replied Lincoln.
"Alright everyone, brace for impact!" replied Jordan.
This confuses the others, and then Hope speaks. "Why? This is Clyde McBride, why would we—" She is then struck by a dodge ball, and they see Clyde is now chucking them with anger.
They all watch as Clyde is just throwing like an angry player, and so Lincoln and Jordan dodge this with their skills, and they manage to survive, but their team is not so lucky, and then Clyde throws the dodge balls like a machine gun weapon, but the duo are unfazed and they look to each other and nod.
So, Lincoln and Jordan both do the splits, and they spin around and do a head stand, and then they throw their dodge balls, which bounce off of each dodge ball from Clyde, and he is struck to the chest, and he goes down to the ground.
Coach Keck sees this and she blows the whistle. "Despite the fact this carnage was brutal and I am shocked about McBride, the winners are Lincoln and Jordan. The Dodge Ball King and Queen retain their status." The others groan and cheer, the only ones left standing are Lincoln and Jordan.
Lincoln and Jordan then head towards Clyde and so does Chloe. They then help him up. "I'm okay now, that hit actually helped me wake up, and now… Ow, yeah I'm fine again. Also, what the heck did I do? I think I blacked out after I picked up a dodge ball."
Then Jordan asks. "Clyde, you went into total destroyer mode, what the heck has gotten you all riled up mad? You were like a Primape back there."
Clyde then remembers, and so he explains to them. "Last night, I was watching Operation Dessert Storm, and I was excited to watch Zamir win, but then it was announced that he lost, and it turns out he was disqualified because he used a non-regulated whisk! That doesn't make sense, he knows what he's doing and what he's using!" He then picks up the dodge ball and he throws it.
The ball hits Coach Keck and she is down. "Good throw, McBride, also ow."
Clyde then sighs. "Sorry, I just… I was angrier when I heard that the other chef was the winner, but her broth is bland!" He then grabs another dodge ball and he throw it, and it hits Rusty and he is down again. Lincoln, Jordan and Chloe are surprised to see this side of Clyde.
Clyde then walks away, and he counts to ten, and so Chloe follows him, to make sure he doesn't get too angry and go too far. But deep down, seeing Clyde this angry and dominant makes her blush.
Lincoln and Jordan look around and they're friends are all picking themselves up after the dodge ball destruction. "Huh, well now we know how powerful Clyde is when he's mad" replied Jordan.
"Always the weak, and barely courageous ones who truly hold all the anger and power" replied Lincoln. "Could you imagine if someone messed with him in this state?" They are both hoping that this side of Clyde might be enough to perhaps land some hurt onto Rip Hardcore one day.
A/N: Clyde getting mad? Now that is epic, and powerful and destructive. Now they know how powerful and dangerous he can get. I hope you all enjoyed reading this new chapter guys.
