Chapter 168 Park Talk

Jazz informed Danny and Maddie about Wraith calling her and wanting to meet at the park.
"We will accompany you to make sure nothing happens." Said Maddie.
"You think Vlad might have spies keeping tabs on Wraith who might try to interfere with me seeing her?" Asked Jazz.
"Maybe, you can never be sure with Vlad or his allies." Said Maddie.
"I'll give Tucker a call and tell him to bring Wulf and Valerie to be on standby at the park." Said Danny.
"Good idea." Said Maddie.
"Alright, will be on the lookout for trouble, but let me do the talking and try to convince Wraith to leave Vlad and the Empire then we can see about introducing her to the rest of our family and add a new Jedi to the Rebels." Said Jazz.
With that said the trio headed off to the park.
At the park Kwan, Klemper, and Dash were out on patrol with a group of Stormtroopers. Dash was not pleased with the current situation that his now superiors had put him in.
"I can't believe you two chose park patrol duty." Complained Dash.
"Hey there's nothing wrong with park patrol duty." Said Klemper.
"Nothing ever happens in the park how are we ever going to climb the ranks if nothing happens?" Said Dash.
"I fine with not seeing any action. Anytime we cross paths with the Rebels and their Jedi we usually end up getting hurt or something." Said Kwan.
"Yeah that's why I want to get back at them and there's very little chance of that happening in the park. They cost me my former position." Complained Dash.
"That was partially your own fault." Said Kwan.
"And your just jealous that we outrank you." Said Klemper.
"Ug. I'm going to request a transfer after tonight." Grumbled Dash.
The Stormtroopers continued on with their patrol.
Elsewhere, Jazz was by a large fountain waiting for Wraith as Danny, Maddie, Tucker, Wulf and Valerie hung around in the background keeping an eye on things. Jazz saw Wraith approaching and smiled and waved at her. Wraith smiled and waved back as she approached Jazz. Jazz could see by the way Wraith walked and by certain details with her face that the young girl was tired and looked a bit burned out. She needed to get Wraith away from Vlad and the Empire. The two of them sat on a bench together.
"Hey Wraith how are you doing. It's good to see you." Said Jazz.
"It's good to see you too. I heard you got fired from your job." Said Wraith.
"Yeah, I did. I guess I was just unlucky." Said Jazz.
"I think that was my fault. My master got really mad at me and I think you being fired was part of my punishment. I'm really sorry." Said Wraith.
"Hey it's ok. I can get a new job and the old job just wasn't a good fit for me." Said Jazz.
"Alright." Said Wraith.
"So why don't you tell me what's going on with you? Did your master punish you in some kind of other way?" Said Jazz.
Wraith seemed to hesitate for a moment, before she worked up the courage to speak.
"My...master had me taken...to a lab chamber, where an interrogation droid...shocked me multiple times. All because I came to rescue you."
Jazz was horrified by this. Vlad really was a monster if he punished Wraith that harshly just for disobeying him to come rescue her.
"That's horrible! Your master shouldn't do that to you! You should get away from him." Said Jazz.
"Get...away from my master? Where...would I go?" Said Wraith.
"You can come stay with me and my family. They wouldn't mind." Said Jazz.
"You...would let me come live with you and your family?" Asked Wraith.
"Of course." Said Jazz.
"You would risk...the wrath of my master and the Empire?" Asked Wraith
"I can protect you and keep you safe and hidden." Said Jazz.
Wraith looked at Jazz not sure what to do and she looked down at the ground. Jazz looked at Wraith and reached over and hugged her.
"What's this?" Asked Wraith.
"A hug. It really looked like you needed it. Look I get your scared, but I'm here for you." Said Jazz.
The two were silent for a few moments.
"I...want to go with you." Said Wraith.
"That's wonderful." Said Jazz.
"I don't really have any belongings, except for my clothes and my lightsaber." Said Wraith.
"Don't worry my family and me can provide you with what you need." Said Jazz.
The two of them stood up and we're fixing to leave, when Fight Knight walked onto the scene with Vid, Thrash, and Download.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Wraith.
"We are here to take you back to your master." Said Fright Knight.
"She isn't going back." Said Jazz.
"You don't have a say in this." Said Fright Knight as his team walked towards the two girls.
Maddie and Danny put on their masks and stepped out of the shadows with their lightsaber psychic ignited.
"That's not going to happen." Said Danny.
"Phantom?" Asked Wraith in confusion.
