The break lasted for about 4-5 minutes, and in this time the group was able to calm down and even get some snacks.

The groups were chatting amongst themselves, Ruby still not quite over how blind she was, but she's doing a lot better.

Raider clears her throat to get everyone's attention, when she had all eyes on her she gestured for everyone to take their seats before facing Ruby. "Ruby, you're gonna know what happened this day the moment it starts. You already had stuff on your plate from the earlier episode, so I apologize in advance to both you and Penny."

The girl gave her host a quizzical stare before she goes wide-eyed, finally putting the pieces together, oh, so it's that day we're watching. Raider sent her an apologetic smile before turning on the screen.

(Volume 2 Intro)

The episode starts off with Weiss checking the time as Professor Port goes on another long tangent throughout class. Jaune scoots over next to Weiss and, boldly for him, asks her if she wants to go grab something to eat after the lecture. When she doesn't respond, Jaune tries his best to persuade her, "And I, uh, got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie if you wanna make the trip to Vale, I hear it's awesome! Aaaand then maybe after that we could study together? I mean, you're smart and I'm a-"

Jaune couldn't finish as an alarm went off, causing Weiss to perk up. Mid sentence, Professor Port froze as the lecture began to chuckle. He tells the students that the stunning conclusion will have to wait until next class. Jaune asks Weiss if he heard him, and she responds with three 'nos' and then a 'yes'.

Jaune banged his head on the table in disappointment, Team RWBY walked behind him, Yang ruffling his hair, "One day."

Man, he was trying so hard, and a tad bit desperate if you ask me, Sun thought as he felt bad for the guy.

I wish he would be that dedicated to ask me, I'd say yes on the suggestion, Pyrrha pouted as she side glanced at her partner.

One day isn't going to happen as long as I have a say in the matter, Ruby froze at the threatening thought, not liking it a single bit as well as confused on where it came from. It sounded like her voice, but it wasn't hers at the same time, it felt a lot darker. Ruby doesn't understand where all the thoughts were coming from, and it isn't even the first time, which that thought scares her.

She also doesn't understand why all of them include Weiss, is there something deeper going on? Ruby doesn't plan on thinking too much about it, she has more pressing things on her plate, like how this show is going to expose both her and Penny's secret.

Team Rwby prep themselves as they'll be setting out on their investigation about Roman and the White Fang, discovering what information they can on what they're plotting. "I thought that class would never end," Blake adjusts her forearms ribbons.

"Alright guys, today's the day! The investigation begins!" Ruby excitedly jumps off her top bunk, startling Weiss as backpedals to the other side of hers. She sarcastically states how she's glad that her team is taking this very seriously.

"Hey, we got a plan," Yang buds in, "That's moderately serious."

Ruby agrees with her sister and asks everyone if they remember what their roles are in the investigation. Weiss explains how Ruby and herself will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any dust robberies or any inconsistencies, "Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem."

"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members, if I can get it, I can hopefully find out what they're planning," Blake restates her part of the operation.

"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale, getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard," Yang is the last one. Ruby, happy with what she heard, states that they will all meet up near Yang to go over with what they've all gathered.

"I gotta admit, for an amateur detective squad, you guys had a pretty good plan. And you guys had one night to think this over? I'd call that impressive." Sun commented as he had his arms crossed.

"This is a serious matter, sure we thought it over for a night, but we couldn't just sit around. We needed to take action, and if not, who would?" Blake's response was quick as she informed Sun.

"Let's do this!" Ruby exclaims as she pumps her fist, Sun agreeing with her as he hangs upside down from a tree just outside their window. All the girls jump back in surprise, Blake shouting the boys name, and Yang asking how he even got there.

"It's easy, I do it all the time," Sun says as if it's the most well known fact in all of Remnant. Weiss yells that he does what?! Again, Sun breezily states that he climbs trees all the time. To this answer Weiss scowls in displeasure.

"So, are we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?" Sun asks as he hops in the girls' dorm.

" We are going to investigate the situation. As a team," Blake emphasizes the word 'team', indicating that Sun isn't going to be a part of it.

"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to," Ruby tries to be a little nicer at letting Sun down, unlike Blake who was blatantly trying to get her point across that he had no part of.

"Looking back, I was real ignorant to you telling me to get lost," Sun says with a bit of an embarrassed smile.

"I doubt it was more her telling you to 'get lost', and more Blake wanting not get you involved because, like she said, was a team investigation," Pyrrha tries to reason with Sun, but also having a slight agreement with what Blake was trying to say.

"She probably didn't want to get you involved so you might not get hurt?" Jaune questions, trying to look deeper into Blake pushing him away.

Sun just laughs them off, saying you should always get friends involved, he explains why he brought Neptune; Sun points behind him and out the window, and there standing on a thin edge of the building, is Neptune.

"Now, did he really get by himself or did you happen to help him?" Ren was skeptical as he slightly narrowed his eyes in suspicion.

Sun responds enthusiastically, going step by step on how both he and Neptune got themselves up there. Ren still had a few tiny doubts, but decided to trust Sun's word and just go with it.

Neptune greets them with a casual 'Sup'. "How did you even get up here?" Ruby was the one to question him, and just casually said he has his own ways. A second later, he begs them to let him in, they're really high up and he's just standing on a very small ledge.

Once inside, Ruby goes over everyone's partners. Ruby goes with Weiss, Sun goes with Blake, and Neptune can go with Yang cause she doesn't have a partner. While Ruby says this she physically pushes the guy towards her sister.

Ruby makes sure that all is good, but Weiss interjects, suggesting that she could go with Yang, since they're sisters.

"But Weiss, who would go with you then?" Ruby was clearly confused. She suggests that Neptune could come with her. Ruby just laughs, and Weiss responded with a deadpan expression before being dragged off with Ruby.

All eyes turned their gazes towards Weiss, some giving knowing looks, and others just plain amused.

"Maybe we should have just Weiss go with Neptune, we could have seen how that would've gone," Yang teased as she shot Weiss a cocky smirk.

"Crushing on my best friend? I'll see what I can do, maybe be a wingman and set you two up sometime," Sun gave a small chuckle as he lightly brushed nonexistent dust off his chest.

When Weiss rewatched that scene, part of her felt disappointed, but not that she didn't go with Neptune. And that just brought even more confusion, she didn't understand what was going on with her.

I'm straight, I know I am, Weiss solidified to herself, but a small voice disagreed and she just wanted it to go away.

On the other hand, with Ruby, she felt oddly smug, like she wanted to lightly laugh in Neptune's face.

What is wrong with me!? Both Weiss and Ruby screamed to themselves, going through their own internal struggles.

Weiss stutters until the screen shows the Vale CCT tower. Ruby has no problem in voicing her amazement, Weiss comments that she should see the one in Atlas. Ruby recalls that it's the first one, and Weiss tells her she's correct.

"Atlas developed the Cross Continental Transmit system to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another; it was their gift to the world after the great war," Weiss drags on, telling the whole story of the tower.

"Oooh, look at me, my name's Weiss, I know facts, I'm rich," Ruby mocks in her own sophisticated voice, before laughing at herself. Weiss sternly tells Ruby to not be a pest.

"Besides, the only reason we're here is because you like the tower so much, we could've just as easily made a call from the library." Weiss gestures a hand to the building right next to them. Ruby doesn't argue, but she states how it's just so cool; wanting to take a picture, Ruby fumbles with her scroll as she hurriedly takes it out of her pocket.

As a result, her scroll jumps off her clumsy fingers and lands at Penny's feet.

"Seeing as you ran off with her, I can have an idea of what you two have been up to," Weiss's arms were crossed and her voice held a tint of jealousy.

"Weiss told us how you two went off somewhere, but it never went past that since she went to make her call in CCT tower." Both Blake and Yang were on the curious side, wondering what the heck even happened, and Ruby had apparently sworn to keep her mouth shut of the events that transpired with Penny and her.

"You dropped this," Penny picks up the phone and outstretches her arm to give it back to its owner. Ruby calls out the girl's name in utter shock, while Penny simply had nothing to say. Ruby doesn't beat about the bush and asks where Penny has been, they haven't seen her since the night of the docks.

Penny apologizes, stating that Ruby must be confusing her for someone else. Penny jumps as she lets out a hiccup, the scroll tossed back into Ruby's hands. She rushes off, telling them she has to go.

Weiss turns to Ruby and asks her if she knew what that was all about. Ruby admitted she didn't know, but she's going to find out and tells Weiss to make her call as she'll see her later, Ruby's voice getting louder and as she gets farther and farther away. Weiss yells for Ruby to wait, signaling her to come back, but Weiss scoffs as her call was never heeded.

"Penny, where have you been? It's been weeks," Ruby interrogates the girl as she runs after her, but Penny informs Ruby that there seems to be a misunderstanding.

"Does she honestly think that's going to work?" Ren raises an eyebrow as he stares at the screen.

"Apparently so if she just walks off after saying that," Yang gave a tiny laugh, finding a small bit of amusement in this interaction between Penny and her sister.

Ruby voices her confusion and dismay as she rides the rail down to the bottom of the stops, calling the girl's name. "Is everything ok?" When Ruby doesn't get an answer she rushes in front of Penny and halts her by grabbing onto her right arm. "Penny please stop!"

"I don't know what's wrong, but you have to listen to me. Those guys we fought at the docks… we think they're up to something big, something bad! I need you to tell me what happened to you that night. Please, as a friend." Ruby was begging the girl to open up, this finally got Penny to let out a sigh of defeat. She looks around them and whispers that it isn't safe to talk where they are.

The scene switches to show Weiss walking into the CCT tower.

"Man, I was hoping we'd get more context with you and Penny." Yang dramatically settled her head on Blake's shoulder, breathing a sad sigh, Blake playfully rolled her eyes at the blonde's antics.

"I agree with Yang." Weiss huffed, already knowing how the call went, and to finally uncover what Ruby has been hiding about Penny. Everytime someone gets suspicious of Penny, Ruby always looks so nervous or on edge, like she's afraid of us finding out a huge secret.

Removing herself from her thoughts, Weiss found an odd taste on her tongue, quickly remembering what she just said. "Huh, that felt strange to say."

"I'm sure what has to be shown is nothing important." Ruby decides to pick the worst time to speak as everyone turns to her.

Weiss scoffs and points an accusatory finger at her partner, "Now if that isn't one of the most obvious lies I've ever heard from you. You're clearly hiding something, and going off on what Raider said before the episode even started and your reaction to it, we're going to see for ourselves. So, you could either tell us what it is now or you can keep quiet, you choice?"

Weiss didn't intend on sounding demanding, but someone had to point out Ruby's weird behavior each time Penny comes on screen.

It was plain to see Ruby was panicking while Weiss was calling her out, but she sank and kept quiet, this catching everyone by surprise. Normally, Ruby couldn't keep much of a secret, she was usually so open. Knowing this, everyone was even more curious, as well as a little apprehensive.

She made her way through the building, stepping into an elevator that greeted her into the building, and asked her where she would like to head. "I'd like to go to the communications room please." The elevator will gladly take her to her destination, but before that, they ask for Weiss to verify herself by using her scroll and placing it on the elevator's terminal. Weiss pulls her scroll and allows the elevator to scan it, once complete, the elevator thanks Weiss.

Weiss stares ahead, putting on a small smile before shaking her head and trying again, the girl having to prepare her smiles before her call.

Everyone notices this, some giving the girl a sympathetic smile. This was one of the reasons why she wanted to focus more on Ruby and Penny, just so they wouldn't have to see her in moments like this.

Weiss suddenly feels her hand being given a light squeeze, she turns her head to see Ruby giving her a comforting smile. She turns her head to acknowledge all the support from everyone in the room, a small bit of her didn't know how to take in all this condolence, but she was grateful for it all the same.

In the communication room, she walks up to the holographic receptionist. "Welcome to the Beacon Continental Transmit Center, how may I help you?

"I need to make a call to Schnee Company World Headquarters in Atlas, " Weiss asks politely. She is then informed to head to terminal 3 she would be patched through to Atlas. Weiss begins making her way to the terminal, on her way, she passes a girl saying 'hello' back to her mother in Signal.

Weiss' mask falls the moment she is alone in her own cubicle, sighing depressingly.

Ruby's hold only strengthened in reassurance and protectiveness for her partner. Ruby doesn't know the full extent of what Weiss went through during her childhood, but it left a large influence on who she is. Ruby doesn't know who her parents are, but she really doesn't like them if they hurt her friend this much.

Yang felt the same energy when she saw her friend deflate, a protective instinct kicking in.

The screen lit up to show a woman with blue eyes and short hair. "Thank you for calling the Atla-Oh! Ms. Schnee, good afternoon! Would you like me to patch you through to your father? I think your sister Winter might be here as well."

Weiss kindly declines, "No thank you, I was actually wondering if you could find some files for me? I've compiled a short list." Weiss placed her scroll in hold for the data to be received on the other end of the line.

"If you don't mind, what may I ask is this for?" The woman questioned, perplexed as she reviewed the information. School project was Weiss's form of excuse, but the lady on the other line was still wary. "Um, there are some sensitive documents on this list m'am." Weiss assures that the documents will be treated with care.

The worker finally gives in, albeit cautiously, and proceeds to send over the files data. Weiss voices her gratitude, stating that will be all. "Are you sure you wouldn't like me to patch you through to your father before you go?" She asks in one last attempt.

Weiss assures her that contacting her father is unnecessary, her smile uncomfortable, once the call ended and the screen went dark, Weiss's smile fell and was replaced with a sullen frown.

Ruby doesn't know if she should feel happy or sad that she wasn't there with her partner, would it have been more convincing with Weiss's lie or just raise more suspicions? Either way, she feels awful for not being there for her friend.

Ruby's resolve grew as her hand, the one encasing Weiss's, grew just a hair tighter. She will protect all of her friends.

Penny is shown standing alone on the side of the street, nervously looking around. She is startled by a smiling Ruby, who places her hand on her right shoulder; Penny's smile is nothing but warm and thankful.

"I wish I could help you Ruby, but I don't know anything about those men." Penny and Ruby are both walking down the sidewalk, Penny dejected that she's not able to help her friend.

"Well, what happened to you that night? We were all together and then you just disappeared, were you kidnapped?" Ruby bombards the girl with questions, ending with a worst case scenario.

"We know she disappeared, and we were shown she was fine, Dolt. And even if she was taken, we've seen her fight, she can handle herself." Weiss rolled her eyes at her partner's absurd notion.

"But I didn't know that at the time, I was left in the dark as much as any of you until she actually told me what happened!" The intensity of Ruby's shout was unexpected to say the least, but even more what Weiss wasn't expecting was the random pang in her chest at seeing Ruby this distressed. Of course, Ruby was her friend, potentially going as far as to say her best friend, though she would never admit that out loud. It felt different, in a way Weiss couldn't place, but either way, she didn't like it. She was part of the reason Ruby looked this upset. She promised to be the best partner and teammate that she could be to Ruby. She clearly was failing her word.

Ruby's yell was unanticipated, so Blake didn't have enough time to cover her ears to avoid the noise, and it was thanks to Yang that a good portion of the sound was muffled.

Yang could tell Ruby cared a lot for Penny, so when Weiss made her comment, she knew Ruby was going to become incredibly defensive. So, in the small amount of time, Yang moved her hands and covered Blake's cat ears. She was firm but gentle, suspecting the girl's cat ears would be really sensitive.

Yang missed Blake's grateful smile, and slight blush, as she was occupied, eyeing her sister worryingly.

"Ruby…" Yang's voice brought the girl's attention away from Weiss as she turned around to look at her concerned sister. Her frown became that of sadness instead of irritation, and she moved closer to her sister who brought her into a side hug.

The room was silent as Weiss was turned away from the two and Ruby took solace in her sister's warmth.

When they were ready the episode continued.

"Oh no, nothing like that!" Penny was appalled Ruby would even come up with such a thing. That didn't answer Ruby's question, so she asked, exasperated, where Penny went. "I'd never been to another kingdom before, my father asked me not to venture out too far but… You have to understand, my father loves me very much, he just worries a lot." Ruby could at least relate to Penny on that level, knowing how it feels to have an overprotective father.

"It's because we love you baby sister!" Yang brought a squirming Ruby closer, the girl trying to wriggle her way out of her sister's embrace.

"Yang! Let me go! And I can take care of myself!" Ruby's shouting wasn't as loud, and it was full of humor. The mood swiftly lifting from what it was a few seconds ago.

Penny shared her smile. "But, why not let us know you were okay?" Ruby asked the girl, still confused on how she didn't say anything to them.

"I… was asked…not to talk to you or Weiss or Blake or Yang, anybody really." There were small pauses when Penny named off each person she was restricted from communication with.

"Geez, now that's one restrictive parent if I've ever heard one." Sun was surprised at how limited Penny's social interaction was, no wonder she's so awkward with everyone, this coming from what the others said when watching the show before he was here.

I would say think about my childhood, but this isn't about me, Weiss thought to herself miserably. And since Ruby's outburst was still fresh, she knew it was wise to keep her mouth shut for now.

"No, it wasn't my father." Penny stopped as she looked around the corner, hearing General Ironwood's voice. Ruby was peering over her shoulder.

"The AK130 has been a standard security model of Remnant for several years, and they've done a fine job, wouldn't you agree, wouldn't you agree?" He egged on the crowd, and said crowd clapping at holographic Ironwood's speech, the mechanical soldiers bowing to the audience. "But, the kingdom of Atlas is a kingdom of innovation, and fine? Well that's just not good enough, is it?"

Blake and Weiss deeply frowned, both knowing the lengths Atlas went to to get where it is.

"Presenting… The Atlesian Knight 2.0! The metal doors rise up to show the Atlesian Knights, who then kick the old version to the ground.

The crowd claps while Ironwood continues, not having finished. "Smarter, sleeker, and admittedly, a little less scary." The Atlesian Knights flex for the crowd upon the compliments being said. "These models will become active later this year, but they won't be alone. Now, the Atlesian Military supports the idea of removing men from the dangers of the battlefield, however, there are still many situations that undoubtedly require 'a human touch'.

"Ruby…" Apprehensive, Penny believes they should be going sometime soon. But, Ruby is immersed, showing her interest she stays put.

Everyone else is the same as Ruby, immersed. Ruby had given them some intel of what she overheard, but only a small bit, keeping Penny out of it at all costs, now they get to witness it first hand.

"So, our kingdoms in cooperation with the Schnee Dust Company are proud to introduce," Ironwood gave a pause for dramatic effect, "The Atlesian Paladin!" Holographic Ironwood vanished to show a model of the large machinery.

"Now we couldn't have them here for you today, but these mechanized battle suits will be seen defending the borders of our kingdom within the year!" Ironwood finishes as Ruby is shown to be awestruck.

Ugh, you weapon-loving Dolt, Weiss shook her head as Ruby now looked just as amazed, even though she witnessed it first hand, and battled one too!

"Oh Ruby, you never change." Yang fondly shook her head, she loved her sister, but she was such a nerd when it came to anything weapon related.

"Can't blame her though, it looks like it would pack a punch!" Nora yelled excitedly, wondering what it would be like to spar with one. As if an animated bubble appeared overhead, describing just that, a sparring match with one or two of the paladins.

Ren took notice of this and popped the bubble, this causing Nora to pout.

"Ruby, maybe we should go somewhere else…" Penny stepped back, paranoid as she cautiously glanced around the area. Penny spots one of the human Atlesian guards, pointing at her to the other right beside him.

Penny doesn't waste any time running off, the guards giving chase as Ruby's confused on why Penny is hightailing it in the first place.

"Ruby running from the cops, never thought I'd see the day. I always thought it would be me, guess not, and I thought the reason would be to steal a cookie." Yang smirked, obviously proud of herself.

Ruby gasped and elbowed her sister in the side. "If we're being honest, I do find you to be arrested before Ruby." It was Yang's turn to gasp as she turned towards her partner, who gave her a sly smile.

"You wound me Blakey, but if I was caught, which I find highly unlikely, you'd help break me out, wouldn't you?" Yang closed the distance between herself and Blake, giving her partner babydoll eyes.

Blake huffed with a small tint of red as she rolled her eyes, "That depends."

"But Blakeeey, I thought we were purrtners in crime?" Yang choked on a laugh as everyone else groaned. Raider let out one of those nose laughs, where just a burst of air comes out.

Blake gave her a look telling her she was done and just pushed Yang back to her side of the couch. Yang couldn't stop her laughs as Blake did so.

"All jokes aside, are we not going to bring up the fact Penny is running because of the Atlas force? She was told to talk to no one, she was on edge the whole time when hearing General Ironwood, like she was going to be discovered, and is now attempting to get away from said force." Ren points out as Yang's laughter died down, everyone agreeing they were fair points.

Now paying more attention, knowing their questions could finally be disclosed.

Ruby runs after her, seeing Penny turn the corner in an alleyway. One of the guards tells the other their course of direction while Penny and Ruby are trying to gain as much distance as they can.

While running through the road, a car comes out of nowhere and immediately slams on the brakes, a major catastrophe being avoided, but only nearly. The guard stays behind for a second to make sure they aren't injured, but continues the chase when seeing he's perfectly fine.

"If that car didn't stop he could have been killed!" Pyrrha shouts with horror, realizing how close that man was to losing his life.

Ruby looked down in terror, she could have been the cause for someone losing their life. Actually having the time to take that in, she feels sick to her stomach. She's killed grimm before, that wasn't a grimm, that was a human, a person.

Ruby flinched as she felt a hand rubbing hesitant circles on her back. She expected it to be Yang, but was surprised to find it was Weiss. Oh, she's probably hesitant cause of the shout 2 minutes ago. To show Ruby appreciated the gesture, she leaned more into the touch. Weiss gave a small jump of her own, but relaxed and continued the movement.

Ruby gave a glance behind her for a second before pulling out Crescent Rose and using it on a wooden support that held a bunch of boxes of breakable things.

All the boxes tumbled in the guards path, effectively giving Penny and Ruby more time to escape.

Ruby jumped on a nearby wall and ran on it ninja style, and using her Petal Burst she finally made it to Penny. "This way!" Ruby held onto Penny and used all the rest of her energy in a final form of power, rocketing them down a close alley. With no energy, Ruby dropped Penny and began to tumble before stopping and lying in the middle of the road.

"Ruby…" Yang's voice was slow and quiet, not liking a single bit of the situation her baby sister was in. Weiss and Blake felt the exact same way.

Weiss brought Ruby into a strong hold, worried about Ruby even though this was in the past and Ruby is clearly fine. Yang did the same thing, bringing her sister in a bone crushing hug, terrified her sister was going to leave her too.

Ruby never told me anything about almost getting run over!! Yang being distressed was the understatement of the year. Why did she never tell me any of this?!

The honk of a semi was the only thing Ruby heard as she quickly stood up, but was frozen in place. At the last second, Penny rushed in and pushed Ruby out of harm's way. She, very literally, stopped the vehicle in its tracks. The force of her motion caused the truck to raise off the street, effectively shattering the road around her, leaving tiny pieces to fly.

"Holy shit!"

"Oh my Oum!"

"Woah!!"

"How?"

Many responses varied around the room to what they just witnessed. Penny wasn't normal, they were suspicious enough to figure that out, but Penny is SERIOUSLY not normal!

The truck finally made contact with the road. "Penny…? Ruby didn't know what to say. Penny asked Shopkeeper if he was okay, and he, terrified, replied with a nod. Ruby stared down at Penny's hands, surprised to see metal underneath the pale skin.

Penny looks around nervously, her hands closing to hide the hardware.

Is she-? She can't be a-? Each of Weiss's thoughts continued to pile as she continued to question what she just saw.

"She's a robot!?" Sun was the one to bring the question out in the open.

"That explains a few things, but I still have so many questions!" Nora wasn't the only one who could relate to this.

This is the secret Ruby has been keeping from us? Now I understand why she tried so hard to keep it hidden, and judging the fact Atlas guards want her then…Winter knew of this!

"I understand you all have questions, and, man, that line is understatement, but the episode is almost over, I'd recommend saving them until the very end. Could you all do that at the very least?" Raider asked the patrons of the room.

Albeit begrudgingly, they all complied. Weiss gave Ruby a quick side eye before returning her gaze to the screen.

Passerbys began to murmur and whisper while Penny looked for a means of escape. She found an open alley, without a moment to waste, she ran. She bumped into a frozen Ruby along the way, snapping the redhead out of her stupor. "Penny, come back!" Ruby's yell went unheard as the citizens asked each other questions, not having a clue of what to do.

Ruby finally caught up to Penny, as well as trapping her, leaving her nowhere to go. Sadly, Penny looked frantic as she couldn't get away. "Penny, please, what is going on!? Why are you running? How did you do that?" Ruby gestures to the damaged road back the other way.

" I can't, everything's fine *Huc*! I don't want to talk about it *Huc*!" With each hiccup, was another one of Penny's lies.

"I know this is serious, but those hiccups of hers aren't helping her case; considering they're giving away her lies." Pyrrha lightly jabbed Jaune in his side, though to him, with her strength, might as well have been equivalent to a punch in the gut.

"Jaune…Now is not the time," Pyrrha's voice was stern but soft. Jaune groaned as he rubbed his side.

Penny began to curl in on herself, and Ruby was only hoping that Penny would just let her in. "Penny, if you could just tell me what's wrong I can help you!" Ruby was growing more desperate each time Penny pushed her out. Desperate to try and help her friend.

"No, no, no, you wouldn't understand!" Penny tried again to push Ruby away, but Ruby Rose is persistent and won't leave a friend if there's any way she can help.

"Let me try, you can trust me!"

That was the straw that broke the camel's back. "You're my friend, right? You promise you're my friend?" Penny caves as she frantically asks if Ruby's her friend. Ruby's response is soft, calmer, assuring Penny that she promises.

"Ruby, I'm not a real girl…" Penny overturned her palms to show the revealing metal in its glory.

Ruby's reaction was a simple 'Oh'. Then the screen turned black and began to roll the credits.

"Penny must have told you to not tell a soul." Blake was calm and soft as she turned to face Ruby on the other side of the room. The girl in question gave her friend a silent nod of the head, a complete contrast to her cheery self a few minutes ago.

"Did you think we'd get mad at you for keeping this from us? Cause to tell you the truth, we're not mad, we couldn't be mad at you Ruby." Yang brought her sister into a hug, raising her hand to cradle the back of Ruby's head.

"You were looking out for a friend, no one could ever fault you for that, and no one is." Ren added on to Yang's.

Everyone else joined in, Raider watched from the side, a bright smile and small tear resent as she watched the heartwarming scene in front of her.

"You're our friend Ruby, and leader. Just know that you can trust us and come to us if you need anything." Blake finished as Ruby sniffled with a teary smile.

Raider wasn't going to tell them about the next episode right now, Ruby's gonna need all the love she can get. Especially from the bomb of emotions she will become in later volumes. Raider is going to give them all the time they need, and they have all the time in the multiverse.

A/N: Just checking in, hoping you enjoyed the chapter, and hoping you all have a fantastic week. Comment and such on what you thought, but hey, that's totally up to you, I'll see y'all in the next one.

Byeeeeeee!!!
