The group was concerned for Weiss, as she was now trapped in Raven Brawen's camp, and her sister had left Mistral. The only upside to her situation was that Yang was more than likely heading straight for the camp so she could find her mother and use her semblance to get to Ruby. They would count that Weiss plans to slowly cut the bars for her to escape, but they don't know how long that would take. So, for the time being, they were all going to put their lien on Yang going to get her out.
Speaking of Yang, the last they ever saw of her was her 'helping' one of Raven's members. Would they be seeing more of how that goes down? Possibly. Would it be nice to see that early in an episode rather than later? Also yes. Lately, they haven't been shown much of Yang, unfortunately, focusing more on the rest of Team RWBY. They would assume it was because there was a bit more story movement when it came to the other three, but that was merely a guess.
The group got comfortable, having just returned from the kitchen after eating some food. They gave Raider the 'okay' to begin the next episode, and the screen turned alight.
(Volume 5 Intro)
The sound of a motorcycle engine revs as Yang takes her and her passenger through the woods.
"What were we talking about, not even just a couple moments ago," Nora comments, throwing her hands in the air. Now they didn't have to worry about what would happen with Yang when that's exactly what they're going to be shown. Weiss silently released a breath as their wishes, were quite literally, being answered.
"Now just to see how the next interactions with this guy are going to pan out." Yang shrugs as she leans further back into her seat.
The guy looked around the trees and Yang asked how much further. He told her that where they were would just about do it. Yang came to a stop and the guy asked her to wait so he could make sure the coast was clear.
Yang slowly shook her head, "How dumb does he think I am? He's clearly planning to try and ambush me."
"If anything, he would be the dumb one as he led you right where you wanted," Weiss adds, also feeling disappointed. That man was part of the same tribe that kidnapped her, and if he was actually a good bandit he should've already known that Yang had her own motives.
"Hey, it works in my favor, so I'm not too upset."
Yang watched him go, pulling down her aviators, and shaking her head. She tossed some of her garments onto the bike and stretched.
"Hm, what a peaceful moment, when will it be ruined?" Yang asked.
Yang hears the click of a gun and pulls her arm up in time to deflect the bullet.
"There it is, a bit quick though," Yang calls out. Some of the students were preparing themselves, they could tell this battle was about to blow up in the bandit's face.
More bandits came out from their hiding spots, weapons up. "I can't believe you were dumb enough to let me lead you here," the man comments. Yang looks around and asks if this is everyone. "Yes, Little Lady, this is it. Well, unless you count the whole rest of the camp back that way," he says, pointing behind him.
Well, that was good to know. Just wish I knew the direct location instead of a general area. Yang crosses her arms, a little let down that she hasn't gotten that exact location. Oh well, Uncle Qrow knew. It would take her a bit of convincing and some question deflecting, but maybe she could get something.
Yang clarifies the direction, thanking them, and confusing the bunch. "Yes, that way. Now, to pay me back for this tooth–"
"Not happening pal, might have been better if you respected someone's personal boundaries. Maybe then you wouldn't have lost a tooth," Yang fires. It's only been about two minutes with this guy on screen and she was already fed up with him. She had to watch herself deal with him before and he didn't leave that much of a lasting impression.
"Yeah, I think that tooth loss was well warranted," Nora defended.
"We're gonna take your bike, and you're gonna take your lums." Yang looks down at her arm, extending her gauntlet. The bandits stand on guard and the man chuckles, "You got the jump on me last time sweetheart, but you really oughta' think twice about fightin' all–" He's cut off by Yang bringing out a smaller gun in her other arm.
Nora and Sun rubbed their hands together, anticipating the fight that was about to go down. Yang smirked, ready for the fight. Ruby shook her head heavily, more so for the others as this wasn't going to end well for them.
The man yells for the rest to get her and Yang casually walks into the fight, knocking down the first in a couple of seconds. She swings herself around another's arm, kicking him and his weapon away. She holds up her right arm as the others rapid fire.
"Go, Yang!" Ruby yells, cheering for her sister. The rest followed and Yang could feel her confidence boost.
Yang propels off a bandit, and upon landing, sweeps her feet from under three more. A girl comes charging, but a single punch gets her out of the way. Yang stops a sword with her arm, punching him, then aggressively stomping on the bandit's foot. He cries out as Yang jabs him away.
Yang had to be honest, the arm allowed her to take a lot more sturdy hits. That arm was saving her from bullets, blades, and more. She would've had to have been more careful in a situation like this. Yang wasn't going to tell her team these thoughts, but they seemed a bit distracted by how much Yang was kicking butt.
She kicked three away and while she was battling others, the same bandit grabbed his gun and fired. Yang narrowly missed the shot and she turned her head, glaring at him.
Ruby took a deep breath, tensing at how close the was. She knew her sister's aura would have taken the brunt of it, but that still felt terrifying.
His gun refused to work and Yang struck two men in the fast before launching towards him. When it still didn't work, he decided to go for the knife at the end. She fired at the ground and flew over him, landing the final blow to his face.
The group was enamored by that one, it was amazing. Yang too was impressed, she thought that move was cool as hell!
Yang's left hand started trembling and she grabbed a hold of it with her other, getting it to stop.
That certainly took most of the fun out of the victory. Yang reached for her own hand, mirroring her counterpart. She didn't have much reason to do so, but it just felt instinctive to her. "Hey, are you alright?" Blake asks, leaning over.
Yang nods, "Yeah, I'm good." Blake stared at her for a couple of seconds before turning back to the screen.
The same bandit coughed, asking who she was. "It doesn't even matter, when Raven finds out what you did you're dead."
"Possibly, but I doubt it. I am her daughter after all." When the bandit hears this he mumbles that he'll be the one who's dead before dropping to the ground.
They guess they'll just have to see whether that outcome arrives or not. (They honestly hope it doesn't.)
At the lodge in Mistral, Ruby and Oscar go head-to-head with each other in hand-to-hand combat. Albeit it looks very clumsy.
Yang couldn't help but snort, it was nice to appreciate this training from Ruby when she was out of reach from any Grimm. It seemed like Ruby was getting a tad better when it came to the fighting style, still not the best, but she was getting there.
Jaune and Nora are watching from the sidelines and Jaune comments that Ozpin wasn't kidding when he said that Oscar would quickly pick up the techniques.
Oscar admitted that Jaune wasn't wrong, he appeared to be doing a lot better than he thought he would.
Oscar lands a pretty hard hit to Ruby's face and he instantly recoils, apologizing, but Ruby angrily retaliates. A lot harder as Oscar slides against the ground. Both Jaune and Nora wince.
Everyone else does the same. Both Ruby and Oscar go to apologize to each other but they end up talking over one another. The two pause and end up laughing. They try again and Oscar is the first one to say sorry. "Ruby, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that hard."
"I should be the one to say sorry, I punched you hard you flew to the ground," Ruby retorted. The two went back and forth for about two minutes before Yang and Nora cut the both of them off, not wanting to have to hear any more.
"You both were sparring with each other, one of you is bound to take more hits than the other, and possibly harder, as shown," Yang explains. The both of them averted their eyes and turned them back to the screen. An heiress silently watched the interaction but said nothing, the only emotion was a small frown that quickly disappeared as soon as it formed.
Ruby jumps in the air, shouting her victory as inside Oscar's head, Ozpin notes to him that he forgot to engage his aura. Oscar yells as to why he didn't tell him. " Because this method makes you less likely to forget."
"I mean, he isn't wrong," Nora mentions, to which Oscar groans.
"Mind if I give it a shot?" Ozpin asks. He doesn't give him time to answer as Ozpin takes over his soul.
"Wait, what is happening?" Ruby's brain hasn't caught up to the fact that she's about to spar against her headmaster.
"Oh, this is gonna be fun," Yang mutters.
"Not bad, Ms. Rose, but Oscar doesn't have the years of training that you do, or I do." Ozpin enables his aura, standing up as Jaune and Nora proceed to watch in shock. Ruby is visibly nervous and asks that they should possibly take a break.
"Wait! I'm not ready!" Ruby yells. Some didn't plan to voice that in a battle against Salem or any foe, there will always be an element of surprise that no one will be prepared for.
Ozpin launches into motion and begins to wipe the floor against Ruby, ending the match quickly with a headbutt to the chin.
Ruby felt like she could feel that one, even rubbing the bottom of her chin. Others winced as that had to hurt.
"The next time you want to throw a left cross, remember to push off with the appropriate foot. And as always, do be aware of any openings." From the ground, Ruby groans that she gets the message. Ozpin gives back control and Oscar lands on his hands and knees, calling the training exhausting.
"Well, we've had years to train and hone our skills, you're still learning and getting into the rhythm of fighting," Pyrrha states gently, "It was rough for all of us when we first started, it will be the same to you."
"It just might be a little bit rougher when Ozpin takes control of your body and uses it to train, the aftermath will hit you hard, as we've just seen," Blake adds. Oscar nods, knowing he'll need to mentally and physically prepare himself when it comes to that point.
"Your body isn't used to this kind of training, not to mention generating a defensive aura on your own. It takes intense concentration at first, but in time it will become second nature, allowing you to deflect attacks and gradually heal your wounds," Ren explains, "After that, you can begin focusing on your semblance, whatever that may be."
Oscar is confused by the term semblance. "You know, like your very own superpower! Everybody's got one, it's just a matter of finding it and mastering it. Ruby moves superfast, electricity makes me stronger, Ren can mask emotions, and Jaune can…" Nora trails off as they haven't discovered his semblance yet.
Jaune looks at the ground dejectedly, but he doesn't plan to lose hope. He believes at some point watching this he'll figure out what it is, and when he does, he plans to do everything in his power to try and unlock it back on Remnant. While with Oscar, he would like a more in-depth explanation, but seems at the moment that that will be what he's gonna get.
Jaune starts by saying that he can't do anything, rubbing his neck when Ruby grabs Oscar's shoulder, telling him that Jaune is like him. "He hasn't found his semblance yet but we all know he will, and you will too. We all just have to try and help each other get stronger." Oscar's okay with that and Ren speaks up that a common philosophy is that a warrior's semblance is a part of who they are. Some would say one's personality and character will define a semblance while some claim it's the other way around.
A few find both of those to be very true. In Weiss's case, it's her hereditary semblance, while for Yang, Nora, and Blake, it would be their personalities that define their semblances.
"Of course, there are still many who don't see a connection at all."
That was the more in-depth answer Oscar was looking for. So either your personality could define your semblance or the other way around, or some don't know or see a correlation between the two.
"It's hard to know when you knowsometimes. Ren's semblance was unlocked from intense stress," Nora reassures.
"And mine kicked in during training one day," Ruby shares. Oscar asks about Nora's.
"Oh, struck by lightning, didn't die. Craaazzy Thursday…" Nora drawls.
Ren remembers that day vividly. It about gave him a heart attack when he witnessed it. Nora can tell what he's thinking about and rubs his shoulder. "Sounds like one hell of a Thursday," Yang says.
"I just don't understand what's wrong with me. I train, I meditate," Jaune says, not understanding what he's missing.
Maybe Jaune was just missing a traumatic situation to unlock his semblance under pressure. He was kidding, he would never want this semblance to unlock under those kinds of circumstances.
Ozpin takes over Oscar's body, "Don't worry Mr. Arc, your journey is far from over, and the same might be said for all of you. Unlocking your semblance isn't the end, it can still grow and evolve, providing you're willing to put in the work, who knows what could happen?"
"Then let's get back to it!" Ruby declares.
"Yeah!" They all collectively yell, which is promptly quieted by the scene that comes on screen.
Yang is escorted through the Brawnen Camp by the bandits she previously beat up.
"About time I had myself an episode that centered around me. I love seeing you guys' adventures, but you can't blame me for wanting to see my own from time to time." They understood and weren't, or didn't plan, on holding her opinion against. It was fair as they only got a short bit to see Yang in only the first episode.
Even though it has only been 4, out of what Raider had told them, 14, there was still a ways bit to go to see everyone.
The other bandits watched her pass and the two guards, supposed to be looking over Weiss, ran to join the others. Weiss didn't waste time and took this as her chance to set her escape plan into motion. Creating her miniature Arma Gigas, she nodded her head and it began to hit away at the bars.
Weiss sighed if only there was some way the two could see each other. Some kind of chain of events that would allow them to realize that the other was present. "Come on, me! You gotta notice Weiss is there somehow or another!" Yang yells.
Yang stops in front of the main tent and Raven walks out. Yang addresses her and Raven takes off her helmet. "Yang…" She sets it down on a nearby crate. "So, after all this time, you finally decided to visit me."
Yang gritted her teeth, her mother knew full well that she spent years trying to find her, searching for her, wanting answers as to why she left. Left their family. Left her. And when she finally meets, she has the gall to say that she's finally decided to visit her?!
Yang's hand trembled again and she stopped it with her other. "You know that I searched for you. I spent years looking for you!"
"Yang…" Ruby murmured. Yang hummed, wondering why her sister sounded so saddened. "Your…hand…" Yang still wasn't getting it by the look of her confusion.
"Your hand shaking," Weiss specified.
"Oh, pfft, that? I wouldn't worry about it, just probably me being angry with my mother." While brushes it off, her friends are still worried.
"While that might be true in this scenario, it isn't the first time it's come up," Blake says worriedly.
"Blake, don't worry, I'm sure it's nothing," Yang tries again. Her friends weren't buying it.
"And you found me. You were patient, determined, and strong enough to make your dream a reality. Well done, Yang, but did you have to be so rough with my men?" Raven smirks. Yang tells her mother that she didn't want a fight, her men started it.
"Well, they started it," Sun parroted. A few others nodded their heads in agreement.
"Well, you certainly finished it." When Yang had nothing left to say, Raven continued, "Right, I'm sure this is all very overwhelming, but I must admit you've proven yourself, so any questions you have I'll be happy to answer."
Yang scoffed, she didn't travel all the way to her camp for her. She traveled so her mom could use her semblance to take her to Qrow and she could be on her merry way. Also, she'll be taking Weiss with her when her counterpart realizes that she's also there with her.
"You can stay with us tonight, I'll even have the cooks whip up something for you." Yang gets one thing straight to her mother and that isn't the reason why she came. "What was that?"
"I'm not here for you, Ruby is somewhere in Mistral, she's with Qrow and she's going to need my help. I just need you to take me to her."
"Maybe, in the past, my trip there would have involved you, but my main priority is making sure my sister is safe. You just plan to save me time, my counterpart hasn't a clue if she made it there or not," Yang retorts.
"And why would I do that?"
Yang places both her hands on her chest, "Because we're family."
Some couldn't hold in their chuckles upon hearing that response.
Raven scoffs, "'Family', only coming around when they need something. I have to say I'm disappointed after all you found me didn't you? Why not take that drive to find your little sister if she means that much to you."
"As I said, you plan on saving me the trip and my counterpart isn't aware that she has already made it to Mistral or not, or if she needs any help."
"Because you're going to save me time, Ruby was heading to Mistral but there's no guarantee she's made it there. Looking for her in Anima could take ages, but dad told me how your semblance works." Hearing this, Raven curses Tai under her breath.
"And we've already seen that I'm going to stop at nothing to get to my sister and make sure she's safe. So, you're going to use your semblance to take me to Qrow, whether you like it or not." Yang's voice left no room for argument. A warm smile grew on Ruby's face and she snuggled closer to her sister.
"You can bond to certain people, and when you do you can create a portal that takes you straight to them. You've got one for dad, one for me, and you've got one for Qrow. He promised he'd watch out for Ruby before he left, and I trust him, so make a portal to my uncle and sister and I'll be on my way."
Yang could already sense a refusal coming, but she was just as stubborn. She gets it from her mother.
"You know, it takes real strength to march in here and demand such a favor of me, I've got to say I'm impressed. It's very noble to want to help out your sister, but if she's with Qrow, then she's already a lost cause."
"Spare the news that I'm walking into a war with Salem, it won't change my mind, or any of our minds. Our job as huntsmen and huntresses is to protect the people of Remnant and Salem is just another factor of that. At the moment, all my other self wants to do is make sure that my sister is safe and sound," Yang announces. Her mind has already been made a long time ago and she doesn't plan on switching it.
"Yeah, we can take on whatever Salem plans to throw at us! And with watching this, we'll be more prepared than ever!" Ruby yells.
Yang asks what that's supposed to mean. "You don't want to get mixed up in all that, Yang, Ozpin is not the man you think he is, and Qrow is a fool for trusting him. I would know, I trusted him once too." Yang yells that she doesn't care what Raven thinks. Vernal is quickly seen with a hand on her hip with Myrtenaster in the other.
"Ugh, if I would have turned around for even a second I would have recognized Myrtensater!" Yang shouts.
"Your choice is your own, all I'm suggesting is that instead of getting wrapped up in something too big for you, for any of us, then maybe you'll take a moment to wonder if you're already where you belong." Raven paces as she talks to Yang.
"I understand how you're unaware, but how am I not doing anything?! Your voice is clear as day and I'm not too far from you, how am I not recognizing that you're here?" Weiss shouts. Yang's volume might as well have been the same as her mother's, but was she just too engrossed in her own task?
"Save your breath, you can spout out whatever you want, but nothing is going to keep me from my sister!" Raven laughs, placing a hand on her weapon, and calling Yang stubborn. "I get it from my mom."
Both of them have a moment of silence before Raven speaks, "Well if that's how you feel, then it sounds like we're done here, take her away."
"No, we're not done until you take me to my sister!" Yang was about to get up from her seat, but a hand from Blake stops her. Yang pauses, lets out a breath, then sits back down.
Bandits begin to surround her and she looks around at all of them. "Did you not hear me? I said send me to Qrow damn it!" Yang's burn red and one of the bandits shouts for her to watch her mouth. Yang stands unphased, "Make me…" The bandit gives one of his friends a look and then charges at her. Yang ducks, punching him right in the stomach that sends him flying, knocking down a tent that reveals Weiss.
"It's about damn time!" Weiss yells, throwing her hands into the air. Now that they've all seen how it was revealed, they shouldn't have expected it to go any different. But, on a completely different note…
"Finally, we get to see a reunion from half of Team RWBY!" Sun shouts. Some would have liked it to have been a bit more sentimental because it's been months since they last saw each other, but they will take what they can get.
"Yang?"
"Weiss?"
The two stare at each other, and then Weiss mumbles that subtlety is out. She gestures to her Arma Gigas who proceeds to grow, breaking her cage. One of the bandits runs away, but his path is blocked by the top of the cage dropping in front of him. Weiss rushes over to Yang who asks about her summon.
"That isn't your biggest problem at the moment!" Nora cries. Their biggest problem would be the literal gang fight that was about to break out. Yang was able to take out a whole group of the bandits, they didn't have any doubts those two could handle an entire camp.
"Well, that's my mom and she can take us to Ruby," Yang explains. Raven groans, already tired of the display in front of her.
The realization kicks in. "Your mom kidnapped me?! "You kidnapped her?!"
"Yeah, that was kinda obvious. That would explain why Weiss is there in the first place, you think she'd want to willingly walk into your mom's camp?" Yang says sarcastically.
The bandits begin to charge and so do Weiss and Yang, but they're effectively stopped by a strike of lightning crashing in front of them. Raven thanks Vernal, "If you people don't keep it together this will be crawling with Grimm. Give the girl her weapon back." Vernal is opposed but obeys. "You two, in my tent. Now." Yang demands to know why. "If you're really going after your sister, then you need to know the truth."
This got them curious. What else did they not know? If Raven was going to tell them everything, how much was unsaid to them? They guessed more specifically to Team RNJR.
Yang goes to apologize, but Weiss already jumps into her, hugging her. "I missed you so much…"
Yang cradles the back of her head, "I missed you too."
"Here's that sweet moment we were wanting!" Ruby exclaims. The room slowly began to fill with warm energy, happy to see some of their friends reunite. Now all they needed was for them to join Ruby and meet up with Blake when the White Fang go to attack Haven Academy. Speaking of Blake, they could all assume the reunion between Blake and Yang would be…how to put it…awkward.
It would take a while for those two to heal from Blake running away, but they knew that would come in time. Very gradual, but it would come.
The two remain like that as Weiss's Arma Gigas dissolves.
The screen goes black and the group loved and appreciated an episode that ended on something so happy for once. If only it was like that for every episode, they all couldn't have nice things now, could they? Ending on a happy note was just what they all needed. They all got an episode with nothing tragic happening, just Team RNJR bonding and training and they all got to witness Weiss and Yang reunite, win-win.
They could continue to rest easy as Raider was going to play another short for them. Seeing as they watched Blake, Yang, and Weiss, it made sense that this next one would star Ruby. A couple of blondes wondered if they were going to get another moment like they had with Ruby. If they did, that would just be great, the tables would be reversed.
The group got ready and the screen began to play.
Ruby quietly walked through the forests, hood up when she stopped at the edge of a cliff, looking down to find a village burning with people screaming. In that village were citizens running in an attempt to flee the Grimm.
The group took notice that this could possibly take place while Team RNJR was still traveling to Mistral. All the rest of the shorts, where they left off at the end at least, were still in places that were previous to their current stopping point.
Two nevermore fly above her and Ruby's eyes narrow and Crescent Rose transforms into its scythe form. She propels herself and latches onto another nevermore that flew overhead. The beowulves below look up as Ruby slices off one of the wings.
It's only been one minute but the group took notice of the absence of NJR. Sure, it was a Ruby short, but even in Blake's short, she had Sun along with her.
Ruby smashes a statue as she lands on it. She stands still as beowulves begin to surround her, one even licking its chops. Her eyes then fly open and with the use of her semblance she slices through each Grimm. She doesn't waver as more appear, simply taking care of them like the others.
The group cheers on the girl, hyping her up after each kill. "That's my sister!" Yang screams. She swings a fist, encouraging her on-screen sister.
From atop a building, a beowulf proceeds to throw debris at her. Launching herself in the air, she kills him from behind, using the momentum from the force to shoot her way to a nevermore in the sky. When crashes to the ground, she creates a crater that kicks up a cloud of dust and she looks around as she hears the large stomps from another Grimm.
The students were nervous but intrigued, this gave the feeling that they were setting up for something new. Would this be a Grimm they haven't seen before? Possibly.
Ruby is punched into the doorway of a building and she gasps at the sight of the Grimm.
"Ruby!" Both Weiss and Yang shout unanimously. Yang spares a glance as Weiss looks beyond worried.
They were definitely seeing a new Grimm and man did it look buff!
The beringel released a cry and when Ruby used Crescent Rose it barely did a thing.
A few gasped at how sturdy the Grimm was.
The beringel grabbed Ruby by her head, it was engulfed by its palm and punched into the side of the building.
"That thing grabbed you by the head as if you were a handle!" Nora shouts. Yeah, Ruby noticed.
Ruby runs across the rooftops, the beast following after her. Shooting bullets at Grimm nearby, it takes one of the beowulves and throws it at her.
Was it just any of them, or was that a well-thought-out move by the Grimm?
Ruby slices it, and then the berginel jumps into the air, smashing its fist down where Ruby once stood. Dancing around the Grimm, she swings Crescent Rose, using her semblance to swiftly evade its attack. Bringing herself into the air, she comes crashing down. Hitting it a few more times it smashes its fists into the roof, causing it and Ruby to come down.
The room was tense, but knew she was alright as they all happened in the past. They all hoped they wouldn't see any major injuries on her, that's all. It was still nerve-wracking to see any of their friends have to take a hard hit though.
It beats its chest, crying out. Its attention is grabbed by a noise coming from the building in front of it. In the entrance, a flow of petals floats toward the beringel.
"Oooh, this is gonna be good," Nora says. Giddy, she starts to bounce in her seat a little.
The petals fly to the top of the building, stopping at a glass window. Not a moment later, Ruby wrecks through the window. In slow motion, Crescent Rose held high, the shattered moon behind her, she descends upon the beringel.
"Let's go, Ruby!"
"Whoooo!"
Everyone starts screaming for her to obliterate it, to dissolve it to smithereens.
It tries swiping at her, but she avoids it and goes for its legs. Sweeping them, she brings it into the air, turning her semblance into a tornado of wind. While in ascension, she comes down, stabbing it in the chest and her scarf flows. She cocks Crescent Rose and finishes it with a single shot. It begins to dissolve and she pulls out her scroll.
The room erupted into an explosion of cheers. Yang whistled for her sister and pulled her in close. Off to the side, it seemed Weiss was having her own dilemma. Why isn't anyone else commenting on how hot the room is starting to feel? Is that just me? She was thinking about voicing those thoughts for a millisecond but believed it would be best, for her, to keep quiet.
" Ruby, we saw smoke ," Jaune says, sounding worried.
" We're heading your way ," Ren adds.
" Don't start without us ," Nora finishes.
"I think it might already be too late for that," Ruby chuckles. During Ruby's chuckling she notices Weiss looks a tad distracted. Her face was also really red, as red as a tomato. "Hey, Weiss, you doing okay," Ruby whispered, leaning over.
Weiss's eyes widened and it took her a few seconds to register what Ruby said. "Oh, yes, I'm fine. No need to worry about me."
"Are you sure? Cause your face looks really red." Weiss nodded, hopefully, reassuring Ruby. Internally, Ruby wasn't that convinced because lately she's been acting really weird.
Ruby looked around and smirked at all the Grimm approaching, "You better hurry." Switching over to each of Ruby's teammates, the screen goes black.
A few took a memento stretch and some others yawned. Ruby took this as the chance to turn to her partner. She wanted to make sure that Weiss was really okay and if she did something wrong. Ruby wasn't stupid, she's seen how this shift only seemed to happen when Weiss was talking to her or something about herself came up. "Weiss…" The moment Ruby utters her name, Weiss abruptly stands up and begins to make her way to the kitchen, telling the others she plans to get herself a snack.
Ruby frowned, what did she do wrong to upset her so much? Ruby clenches her fists and moves to go after her when the others grab her attention. Ruby takes a single moment to look back at the kitchen doors and her frown deepens. She wants to Weiss what's wrong so she can do something to remedy it. Ruby sighed and turned back to her friends when they asked her something, but she was too busy thinking about Weiss that she didn't have a proper answer to give them.
I don't know what I did to make you upset, Weiss, but I plan to fix it.
