Summary:
Duel Academy, the school built by Seto Kaiba to foster a new generation of talented duelists is one of the greatest institutions in the world... that said, with the knowledge of three dangerous cards sealed under the school it might be a good idea if someone there was able to keep an eye on things and let Kaiba know what's going on at Academy Island. Perhaps, the young boy with the new Kuriboh monster? He'll need a special deck to use for emergencies but maybe this Jaden Yuki can keep Duel Academy running smoothly while enjoying his special entrance?

It was a long, and eventful night after the duel out at the lake. Jaden, and Alexis are snoozing together in bed after he massaged her, and done her hair, and she had let him in on her brother that had went missing.
As they and the rest of Duel Academy slept a boat was approaching the island as the captain looked. "Gentleman, it's been a long and difficult mission these past weeks, we've faced thieves, turbulent seas, and worse."
He then turned to them holding a suitcase.
"But it's all worth it, we'll soon dock on the island and our precious cargo will be delivered. Duel Academy will receive its rare new cards."
Ring Ring Ring.
An alarm in Alexis' room rang. Hearing it she stretched as she sat up to get ready for the day only to feel something in her bed.
"Five more minutes." groaned a male voice.
Hearing that she turned over to see Jaden is hugging her close. She blinked before smiled remembering how he helped her last night and that he trusted her with his secrets before gently shaking his shoulder. "Jaden, you need to head back to your dorm. You don't want to be late, especially not today."
He shifted in bed before slowly waking up.
"Morning Jaden." Alexis smiled getting up and heading to the bathroom. "I need to get ready for today so I'll see you in class?"
"Morning." Jaden yawned rubbing his head getting up, "Where am I?"
"My room, remember? We dueled and you spent the night here after doing my hair and we talked?" Alexis reminded him.
Jaden hearing that remembered, and gave a small blush remembering what's going on.
"I'll see you in class?" Alexis asked as he heard the sink turn on.
"O-Okay." he said blushing getting up, "See you in class Lex."
"See you." she smiled.
Jaden exited the room blushing a bit heading over towards Duel Academy before noticing something, "Hm?"
He saw a woman struggling with a car trying to push it up the hill towards Duel Academy. Seeing that he ran over to her, "Hey you need some help!?"
"Huh, oh thank you very much young man." she smiled.
"Your welcome!" Jaden moved starting to push the truck up with her.
"Oh, but what about your classes? Aren't you having your exam today?" she asked him.
"Right now, your more important here! Besides nobody expects me to be on time anyway!" Jaden said to her helping her push the truck.
"You're such a gentleman." the woman smiled as they continued pushing the truck.
They pushed the truck before arriving at a parking lot as Jaden wiped his head, "Phew, alright done here!"
"Thank you very much. I hope you aren't too late for your test young man, can I ask your name?" the woman inquired.
"Jaden, Jaden Yuki." he introduced himself with a wave.
"Well it was nice to meet you Jaden, my name is Dorothy." the woman smiled before walking into the building.
"Okay..." Jaden said looking at the building, "Time to head to class."
He walked into the building to head to class. He soon arrived at the classroom where he opened the door getting everyone's attention.
"About time the slacker gets here." Chazz frowned.
Jaden frowned over to him as Banner said, "Well Jaden since your here, why don't you three come down here, and get your exam?"
Jaden nodded over, "Yes Professor." He walked down to get his exam while Alexis who was busy in her test noticed him.
'Hopefully he does ok on the exam and he made it back to his dorm.' she thought.
'Look at him so tardy, so purail.' Bastion thought as Jaden walked back over. 'If only Jaden implied himself he could become a great duelist.'
Soon after getting situated Jaden, and Syrus who was beside him were snoozing off while Dr. Crowler smirked behind the door un-noticed, "Hahaha you maybe be able to do dream your way through the exam Jaden, but when your field test starts believe me it will be a nightmare! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Alright class the written exam is now over. Please walk, and don't run to be on line for today's new rare cards."
"There here!?"
"Oh dear..."
Like a stampede of wild animals the students exited the classrooms, and charged to get in line to collect the new rare cards in the card shop hoping to use them for the field test.
Chazz was one of the people not running while Taiyou, and Raizou tried to tell him.
"Chazz, Chazz!"
"The new rare cards are here!"
"So go fetch." Chazz instructed looking over his papers.
While the Obelisk Duo ran out Bastion is focused waking Syrus, and Jaden up.
"Jaden, Syrus, time to wake up you two." Bastion mentioned.
Syrus was snapped awake before he asked with anime tears running down his face. "Oh I flunked didn't I? I'm a complete failure."
Jaden was also up grinning over to him. "Sy if they were grading on Drama Class you'd get an A."
"Where did everyone go?" Syrus asked looking around seeing the classroom is almost fully empty.
"Everyone else went to get new cards for the practical exams." Alexis answered. "You duel someone else from your dorm and then based on that and the written exam you could get promoted to the next dorm... or if you're in Obelisk or Ra and do badly you could be demoted."
It took a few seconds for Syrus to take it in, "WHAT!? New cards hey how come no-one told us!?"
"Because everyone wants the best cards for themselves. To use in the upcoming Field Test." Bastion calmly stated over to him.
"Then why aren't you getting some?"
"Please one error card, and my deck's delicate balance will be completely thrown off."
"Agh come on Jaden!" Syrus told him.
"Sure! There's nothing like the smell of new cards in the morning! Thanks for the tip guys!" Jaden said as they ran out.
They soon arrived at the card shop where everyone was waiting to get inside as the captain from before was standing in front of the doors. He lifted the store's door opened before he turned back to the students. "Come and get 'em."
At that the students can't wait. What kind of cards are there? Rare ones like Harpie's Feather Duster? Or powerful ones like Red Reboot? They all can't wait! However their hopes were shattered when the door was lifted all the way showing the case was empty with a sign beside it: ALL SOLD OUT.
Dumbfounded, and shocked one of the students questioned, "Hey where did they all go?"
"You know the rules first come first serve." The counter girl, Sadie explained gesturing to a cloaked figure.
"What!?" They glared at the figure at this.
"And I was first so I took every one." the figure smirked without a care.
"Hey come on man!"
"You can't just take them like that!"
"That's not fair!"
"You snooze you lose kiddies." the cloaked figure smirked walking off.
From this all the students but Jaden, and Syrus left, and they turned to each other before running to the counter, "Excuse me miss!?" Sadie turned over curiously as he asked, "Do you still have some cards left?"
"Only the normal booster packs." Sadie answered showing the beginner packs that were always available.
"We said some not one!" they both called from how small the pack is.
"I'm done for! I slept through the written test, and I'm gonna fail the duel exam too!" Syrus cried dismayed.
Jaden only gave a smile to him, "So take the pack Sy."
"Huh, but Jaden what about you?" Syrus asked hearing that.
"I'll be alright. And besides, I'm planning to take the Deck you seen me use before for a spin." Jaden said with a wink.
Syrus's eyes widened hearing that only for them to hear a voice.
"Is everything alight Sadie?" asked a voice Jaden recognized.
Hearing that they looked over seeing Dorothy just walked out.
"Oh it's you!" Jaden realized seeing her.
"Oh Jaden, thank you again for earlier." she smiled. "Did I hear you two needed some cards for your exam?"
"Well yeah we came here but some guy took all the ones that came." Jaden answered.
"I see, well lucky for you I have a little something for generous young man who helps." Dorothy smiled.
"You do?" Jaden asked as Dorothy takes something out.
She smiled handing him a pack of cards.
"Wow thanks." Jaden grinned taking the pack. "Well this is gonna be an interesting day don't ya think Sy?"
"I hope so... honestly I just hope I don't mess up too badly." Syrus frowned.
"...And then this guy shows up, and took all the rare cards!" Taiyou told Chazz as they, and Raizou were in a school hallway which was empty explaining what happened. "I mean every one."
"So we couldn't get you any. Sorry Chazz."
Chazz turned to his friends with a disapproving glare, "You know what's sorry? You guys that's what but it doesn't matter. Because not one duelists can beat me no matter what card they have."
"Unless that duelist happens to be Jaden Yuki."
Chazz, Taiyou, and Raizou all turned to see who said that.
"What are you talking about, we're not in the same dorm so we won't duel each other." Chazz pointed out.
"Well I have changes for it." It was the figure from before.
"That's the sticky fingers who took the cards!" Taiyou told Chazz recognizing him.
"Cards what cards?" The figure smirked. "Oh you mean these?"
He opened his cloak showing a total of 30 cards 15 on each side. From Draining Shield, to Pikeru's Circle of Enchantment, to Helpoemer, to Hammer Shot, and to Ojama King.
"Whoa now that's style." Raizou said in awe.
"Talk about having a card up your sleeve." Taiyou agreed also in awe.
The figure chuckled, "What's wrong Chazz? Don't recognize me? How bout now?"
He took his cloak off to reveal-
"Crowler!?"
"You know you look better all covered up." Chazz remarked.
Dr. Crowler fell back anime-style but decided to not care about it for once.
"Y-Yes well I have a plan to make us all look better, and make Jaden make the cut-rate duelist he truly is" Dr. Crowler started with his smirk. "I want you to be his opponent for his field test, and use all these rare cards to beat him."
Chazz smirked taking the cards. "With these that slacker won't know what hit him."
"Yeah him, and his new Deck won't know what hit them." Taiyou smirked from this while Dr. Crowler looked a bit confused over 'new Deck' but decided it doesn't matter.
"Indeed cause now Jaden will be shown his place in front of the Academy." Dr. Crowler smirked before laughing manically.
Later...
Jaden at the Duel Field looked stunned seeing Chazz was his opponent asking in shock, "I'm dueling an Obelisk!? And it's Chazz!?"
"That's right Jaden. Since you always talk such a big game I've pulled some strings for you so you got the challenge you deserve." Dr. Crowler smirked walking to the field. "So congratulations! You'll be dueling one of the top-rank duelists in the school! What an honor! I hope your able to get a lot of today's rare cards. What's wrong? Aren't you going to thank me?"
"Of course, thanks a bunch Dr. Crowler." Jaden grinned. "This is going to be a sweet match."
"Isn't Jaden a bit suspicious this seems to be a set up?" Syrus asked Bastion, and Alexis finding this to be suspicious.
"If it were anyone else I might agree, but I doubt Jaden realizes it." Bastion frowned.
"Alright Chazz! Get your game on!" Jaden grinned. "Let's finish what we started at Obelisk Arena!"
"Indeed in front of the entire school to where everyone can watch." Dr. Crowler admitted.
Chazz smirked on this, "Yeah watch you, and your fancy Deck get slammed by me."
They both armed their Duel Disks as Dr. Crowler ran off to join the Chancellor.
"DUEL!"
"No excuses this time Chazz!"
"Bring it Slifer Slacker!"
"Oh it is on!"

"Okay my turn!" Jaden looked at his hand before he gave a grin, "Okay Chazz I think I'll pass on revealing what Deck, I'm using for now so I'll set a monster down, and two cards. That's it."
"What Deck he's using? He has another Deck?" Bastion asked surprised hearing Jaden has another Deck.
Alexis blinked before her eyes widened. 'Wait, so this really is a rematch from that night.'

"All done already huh?" Chazz drew looking, and said, "Fresh off the present! Meet Magical Mallet!"

"Magical what?"
"Magical Mallet! All the cards in my hand that I don't want, I put back in my Deck, then I shuffle, and redraw!" Chazz shuffled his entire hand in his Deck with a smirk before drawing 5 cards, "Pretty cool don't you think?"
"Magical Mallet, that's an incredibly rare and powerful card." Bastion frowned.
"Wait, but how did Chazz get that?" Syrus asked in confusion.
Looking at his hand Chazz smirked, "And the best part is that it comes in handy when I'm looking for this! A Field Spell called Union Hanger!"
A Field Spell card appeared before around everyone the arena transformed into a mechanized hanger where several slots showing different machines emerge.

They looked around as Chazz told Jaden, "When this activates I take a LIGHT Union from my Deck to my hand." He added a card before adding, "Then I summon B-Buster Drake in Attack Position!"
What rose up was a yellow mechanized dinosaur like monster with cannons on it's back roaring.

What appeared was a yellow scorpion like monster before it snapped onto place with B-Buster Drake as it roared.

"They're incredibly powerful monsters connected to the ones Seto Kaiba himself used." Bastion answered.
"And if used correctly it makes the duelist powerful. I'm not sure if Jaden's Gem-Knights can take it down." Alexis admitted over as they turned back.
Chazz still had his smirk, "Next is A-Assault Core's special ability! As it's equipped, I get to summon it!"
A-Assault Core snapped out of B-Buster Drake onto the field.

At that the three flew up snapping together, and taking themselves apart to combine into a new monster.
"Oh my." Chancellor Sheppard said seeing that as Dr. Crowler smirked more.
'This slacker is guaranteed to lose now.' he thought.
When it finished what stands behind Jaden was a new monster. A-Assault Core is below with B-Buster Drake on it, and C-Crush Wyvern on it's back with it's cannons on front of it readying.
"The ABC-Dragon Buster is complete!" Chazz smirked from this.

Everyone started reacting quite a bit about the summon of such a large monster similar to the monsters Kaiba had used in Battle City. Most of them can't believe how easy Chazz managed to summon the thing, and spectate that maybe Chazz lives up to his reputation as one of the best students of the school, and recalling how bad Jaden lost against Dr. Crowler maybe Jaden isn't worthy to face him. But for Jaden himself he only stared up in awe before a grin made his way to his face eager to face this challenge.
"That... how can Jaden beat that thing?" Syrus asked nervously.
"I don't know if he can Syrus, that monster is incredibly powerful." Bastion answered.
Chancellor Sheppard watched on a bit interested. After hearing what would've happened had Winged Kuriboh's effect succeeded, and that Mr. Kaiba had personally met, and entrusted Jaden on a mission with the Sacred Beasts he is interested to see what Jaden can do against him, and maybe catch a glimpse of the new Deck, Kaiba had given him.
"And as a LIGHT Union was banished, XYZ Combine allows me to summon one of three monsters! So come X-Head Cannon!"
What rose was a upperbody cannon with two large cannons on it's back.

"Then I use ABC's special ability! By sending a card from my hand to the graveyard, I can banish 1 card on your field!" Chazz sent his last card before calling, "And now slacker say goodbye to your face-down!"
Jaden frowned as his face-down vanished from the field.
"Oh man, Jaden!" Syrus cried nervously seeing that.
"And now go X-Head Cannon!"
X-Head Cannon fired a blast from it's cannon to Jaden's face-down.
What flipped was Gem-Knight Sapphire who let up a protective shield.

"Every rare card what you talking about Crowler?" was the question of Chancellor Sheppard that Dr. Crowler had forgotten was in the room with him.
"Nothing." he mentioned frowning.
Chancellor Sheppard looks suspicious before turning back over to the duel.

"I knew you would use your new Deck for this match slacker. And unlike before you won't be walking out! ABC attack!"
Dragon Buster charged a blast firing destroying Sapphire as Jaden braced himself before Chazz said to him, "Your move slacker."

"Okay my turn draw!" Jaden drew looking, and grinned, 'Well hey it's one of the new cards Ms. Dorothy gave me! Thank ya Dorothy this will come in handy!' He then looked up taking one other card in his hand, "Okay Chazz here's a familiar card! Scatter Fusion!"

However if Scatter Fusion leaves the field so does all the monsters it summons!" Jaden said over to Chazz who only smirked. "Alright then the monsters I fuse together is Gem-Knight Obsidian from my Deck, and Gem-Knight Tourmaline to join him!"
What rose above him was a pitch black plated knight with orbs of obsidian in around his body with a beige colored plated knight with Tourmaline gems around it's body appeared before fusing together.
"What are you summoning now?" Chazz questioned.
"This one you should be familiar with!" Jaden called up.
"Knight of the Obsidian Stone! Fuse together with the Knight of the Tourmaline Stone to form together into a electrifying sensation! Fusion Summon! Swoop in, Gem-Knight Prismaura!"
What lowered was Prismura readying to finish things up with Chazz.

Chazz only smirked hearing that. "Not until he sees what I got. Don't think for a second that large lightning rod has another chance against me Jaden."
"Not now but that's about to change!" Jaden grinned over, "It starts with Prismaura's ability! I didn't use it last duel so you didn't know it! By sending a Gem-Knight card such as this," he reveals the new card to be a spell called Gem-Knight Fusion before discarding it, "Prismaura can destroy 1 card on the field!"
"It can what?" Chazz questioned in shock.
"Go!"
Prismaura charged lightning firing it at Dragon Buster. Chazz wasn't going to let that go smoothly, "Not so fast Slacker! I activate ABC's other effect!" ABC split apart dodging the lightning as the parts knelled.

"Huh, what happened?" Jaden asked surprised.
"What happened is ABC's other effect." Chazz explained to him. "During your turn, I can sacrifice it to bring back Assault Core, Buster Drake, and Crush Wyvern from banishment to the field."
"Perhaps, but since Chazz sacrificed his monster he won't be able to summon it again." Bastion noted.
"And as a new monster was summoned, I get to use Union Hanger's effect!"
The field glowed as Chazz takes his Deck, "I take a second B-Buster Drake, and equip it to A-Assault Core!"
The monster popped up snapping onto A-Assault Core.

"By banishing this card I get to take C-Crush Wyvern back from banishment to my hand!" Chazz takes the card before calling, "Then Frontline Base's effect!"

Master Diamond charged lightning in his sword jumping up, and slashing down at the large cannon as a large explosion was shown as everyone braced themselves while Master Diamond jumped back to Jaden while said boy grinned, "So much for your cannon huh?"
Chazz then grew a smirk. "Sorry but if that's all you got I'm disappointed."
"Huh?" Jaden looked confused before they see something in the smoke.
"What happened?" Bastion questioned.
The smoke cleared showing Dragon Buster Cannon survived. They all looked shocked as Chazz smirked, "So sorry but don't you remember C-Crush Wyvern? Not only does it make Dragon Buster Cannon immune to traps but by destroying it Dragon Buster Cannon can avoid getting destroyed!"
"Oh man, but that was Jaden's only chance." Syrus frowned.
Jaden grunted before saying, "Well ah well at least I'm not down yet! I end my turn which ends Fragment Fusion's effect destroys Lady Brilliant Diamond."

"Chancellor, considering he already failed the entrance exam and now seeing this perhaps we should send Mr. Yuki back home." Dr. Crowler smirked. "I'm certain Mr. Kaiba would understand."
If it was anyone else Chancellor Sheppard would agree however something is telling him Jaden is not one of those students from seeing how strong his resolve is.

"It's not over until the last card is played, and here goes something!" Jaden drew looking at his drawn card. "Alright I start with Scatter Fusion! I send monsters from my Deck to the grave-!"
"Not this time slacker!" Chazz discarded a card, "By sending a card from my hand to the graveyard, I use one of Dragon Buster Cannon's special abilities! It negates your card's effect, and destroys it!"

'Jaden...' Alexis thought nervously seeing that.
"Well I activate the same spell as you do! Pot of Greed!" Jaden called drawing two cards, and grinned seeing one of the cards, "And to start I use Burial from a Different Dimension!"

"He must have a reason." Alexis pointed out.
"Well Chazz, Particle Fusion has a SWEET effect!" Jaden grinned, "When it summons a monster, I can banish it to give Topaz, Master Diamond's attack points!"
From the spell's departure from the graveyard Topaz glowed easily becoming the most powerful monster on the field.

Everyone looked shocked seeing that.
"What?" Chazz was quite shocked how a pathetic monster like him became stronger then his own mega-monster.
"And now Topaz attack Dragon Buster Cannon! Topaz Scythe!"
Topaz charged forward jumping up, and slashed down while Chazz braced against the shockwave. (Chazz: 2000/Hand: 0) Chazz glared at Jaden. "Your gonna have to do better then THAT slacker! By destroying Assault Core, Dragon Buster Cannon avoids destruction!"
Assault Core shattered from Dragon Buster Cannon. As it did Chazz takes a card, "And as Assault Core was destroyed I take Crush Wyvern back to my hand from the graveyard!"
"So close." Syrus frowned.
"This was a sweet duel Chazz, I can't wait for the next one." Jaden smiled.
"Is that your way of saying you've given up?" Chazz questioned.
"Nah, I'm just saying this was amazing. And it's cause in the end I prevailed." Jaden grinned over which confused Chazz before he revealed, "And here is one of Topaz's super-powers! He can attack TWICE in this one battle phase!"
"What!?" Chazz cried in horror.
"Topaz finish him off!"
Topaz more then eager to keep fighting jumped up as Dragon Buster Cannon stared on. Chazz meanwhile watched in shock. He can use Dragon Buster Cannon's effect to avoid damage, and summon Dragon Buster, and Dragon Cannon while using Dragon Buster's effect to banish Topaz however since Jaden returned those two to the graveyard it would make himself wipe open so...
He can't do anything!
With that Topaz slashed down harder splitting Chazz's monster in half before it jumped back, and Dragon Buster Cannon exploded in a huge explosion as everyone covered themselves from how ferocious the explosion was. (Chazz: 1300/Hand: 1) When they looked to see all that remained of Dragon Buster Cannon was smoke, and destroyed debris.
"That... there's no way!" Chazz cried in shock seeing his ultimate monster was gone.
"Oh, and that's not all Chazz."
He looked seeing Jaden was grinning, "Topaz has picked up a trick from one of my Elemental HEROs. His second superpower is that if he destroys your monster in battle, his attack points come out on your life points! Let him have it!"
Topaz charged forward as Chazz watched in horror before Topaz slashed down being behind Chazz as said boy got on all fours utterly defeated.

"That's game!" Jaden said with his pose having a grin as the holograms of the cards, field spell, and remaining debris of Dragon Buster Cannon all vanished from the field.
"He... he won." Bastion whispered in shock.
Soon someone started clapping beside soon later everyone started clapping, and cheering for Jaden as Syrus cried with a big smile, "Way to play Jay!"
The only one who isn't cheering was Dr. Crowler who watches on in shock. He knows that the cards he gave Chazz are some of the strongest cards in the game, and had been used by Seto Kaiba himself so how did they lost against this Slifer Slacker!?
As he's thinking Chancellor Sheppard gave a hearty laugh turning to his shocked Vice-Chancellor. "Well, Crowler, what were you saying about sending Mr. Yuki back home cause he was losing?"
"I'll be in my office!" he cried storming off.
Chancellor Sheppard gave another laugh from this.
Back at the field Jaden grinned to Chazz, "Oh Chazz, I can't wait for the next duel."
"Oh we will duel again Jaden." Chazz glared before storming out of the area.
Jaden sighed with a smile before noticing Bastion, Syrus, and Alexis heading over to him as he grinned, "Hey guys!"
"That was remarkable." Bastion admitted. "I can see why you were given a second chance if that's your real skill."
Jaden laughed rubbing his head, "Well it took me a while to get this Deck right." He then turned to Alexis, and blushed, "Uh, hey Lex. Did you enjoy the match?"
"Yeah, it was amazing." Alexis smiled.
"Definitely Jaden! Especially that you used that last knight against him!" Syrus called.
"Oh you mean Topaz?" Jaden asked before he shrugged, "Well it wasn't just him he had the help for a lady." He is of course referencing that he used Gem-Knight Lazuli to add Tourmaline to his hand which allowed him to summon Topaz.
"Either way it was a fantastic duel." Alexis smiled.
"Jaden Yuki, for that incredible display of dueling talent and skill against an overwhelming opponent I am pleased to officially promote you to the rank of Ra Yellow. Congratulations." Chancellor Sheppard mentioned suddenly.
"Oh Ra Yellow huh?" Jaden asked interested.
"Indeed. Let me be the first to welcome you to Ra Yellow." Bastion said with a smile offering a hand.
Jaden stared before he smiled taking it shaking it, "Of course, thanks Bastion."
Later that day in the Slifer Red Dorm...
"I guess it's just us now right Chumley?" Syrus asked.
"Yeah. Things are gonna get weird for now on here." Chumley admitted over to him.
Syrus sighed only for them to hear the door open.
"Surprise!" Jaden cried with a grin.
"Jaden, but shouldn't you be at the Ra Yellow dorm?" Syrus asked in shock.
"Well I appreciate it but it wouldn't be the same without you two." Jaden explained with a grin.
Syrus blinked before tearing up as he jumped at Jaden hugging him close.
Ulrich362: Well, Jaden managed to defeat Chazz and show the entire school his skill with the Gem-Knight cards.
bopdog111: He still gotten Transcendent Wings, and Winged Kuriboh LV10 so don't worry about that.
Ulrich362: True, but a pack of cards has more than just one card in it so they'll show up later. That said, it should be pretty obvious what's up next.
bopdog111: And probably the real emergency for Jaden to use the Gem-Knights.
