For Leah fans, you still have to be patient. I focused on the hybrids first. But there is a small mention in the previous chapters. Even in this chapter, she is mentioned without being named. Please be patient. Thank you.
Here is what I think of the Cullens, the werewolves and the elders. They are not nice things, you have been warned.
Chapter 7: Fairy Tale Monsters Exist
"This is trespassing, Doctor Cullen," said an altered, but also ironic Mike Newton.
"But if you are here, it means you know our secret. Unfortunately, you will not leave this house alive. Unless you solemnly swear that you will keep our secret, even from your family. But they already know, is that right, Doctor?", continued the boy.
Mike was about to approach, when three boys broke the glass to get in and surrounded Mike.
"What are you guys doing here?," Carlisle said alarmed.
"Sorry Dad, but we couldn't leave you alone with them," Edward replied.
"Very good marshmallow, ready to hurt yourself badly?" Emmett chuckled.
"I no, and you Big Jim?" Mike replied ironically.
Emmett lunged at the blond boy. Mike was not intimidated by the size of his opponent and with a skillful move he detached the boy's head from the rest of his body.
Edward and Jasper were in disbelief. Mike was very strong. They also attacked, but... they remained paralyzed.
Carlisle could not believe what he had just seen: Emmett Ko and his other children motionless, as if they were prisoners of an invisible force that inhibited their movements.
Renesmee was crying her eyes out, "You have ruined everything, everything."
Emmett managed to reach his head and put it back on his neck, he was about to attack again when he noticed Edward and Jasper in a strange position.
"What did you do marshmallow," the vampire said angrily.
"I didn't do anything," Mike said smiling.
Emmett attacked the young man, but he too was blocked.
Carlisle's eyes widened. His son was frozen like the other two… but he was in mid-air.
"Thank you Annie," Mike smiled softly at his sister.
Dr. Cullen only now noticed that there were other people with Mike. He looked at Sabrina. The woman had a look of pain on her face. Carlisle was speechless, but the words came back when he saw four teenagers, a boy and three girl. One of them was familiar.
"Bree, Bree Tanner!," he exclaimed.
"Good morning doctor," she replied.
Sabrina, Annie, and Didyme stepped forward to act as a shield and protect the youngest members of the family.
"Back to us, Doc. Like I said before, you're not getting out of here alive, none of you are getting out of here alive," Mike said.
"Mike, please, we have no ill intentions, just let me tell you something. Immortal children are outlaws."
"You have an immortal child too," the boy replied.
"It's different, Mike, she's…"
The doctor didn't get to finish his sentence, because Mike stepped in front of him, knocked the vampire to have it at his height, and clamped his hand around the man's throat.
"Because it's different. Because for you Cullens, for the wolf boys, for the elders of the reservation it's always different. You just can't see the pain you give, that you create… the pain you leave, everything you take away," I utter the last sentence in a bitter breath, to then become sharp again: "You are so small, closed in your world of petty and hypocritical perfection, of laws, legends and secrets that kill people inside. You disgust me. Even the Volturi and Dr. Frankenstein are better than you. At least they don't pretend to be good, or worse, saints. They don't play that part."
Mike was furious, he squeezed the doctor's neck even more. He could feel doctor the white, hard skin like marble cracking slightly.
"Please Mike, let him go. You'll get into trouble," Rensmee said sobbing.
"Boy, look at me, my name is Irina, Irina Denali. You saved my life."
"What life," one of the girls said ironically: "You're dead!"
"Mike, please," Carlisle begged.
"He's trying to break my arm, doctor?"
"Mike, let them go. Doctor Cullen, you must not follow us. you will never see each other again, nor hear of us," Sabrina said bitterly.
Mike still did not let go of the vampire. Doctor Cullen noticed that the boy's pupil was now the size of a pin. He was horrified. Sabrina began to cry.
"Honey," Didyme said in alarm.
Mike turned to his sister, still holding the man's throat.
"Sabrina," he said, "Sabrina, what did you see?" he asked apprehensively.
"Mike, let him go… please," the girl said, her voice broken by sobs.
Mike looked at Doctor Cullen again. The boy's irises turned red and dilated slightly.
"Oh, and so, doctor, we horrify you. You haven't seen the best yet, look."
Mike's canines began to grow, as did his nails, which were now razor sharp. Carlisle flinched, afraid. Mike began to look at him amused.
"Are you afraid, Doctor? You're right to be afraid of us. We are like monsters in fairy tales, but unlike you and your friends from the reservation, we don't cause pain, we don't laugh at pain, we don't feed on it just because you think it makes you stronger and better."
A few solitary tears rolled down Mike's cheeks. Carlisle was afraid, but in that moment I felt a feeling similar to compassion. There was pain in the boy's words, in his gestures.
"My son, that's enough. Look at your sister, you're hurting her like this," Didyme said.
Mike bit his lips until they bled. The room began to smell even more. The scent of Mike smelled like freshly cut grass, fresh and pungent. He let go and threw the doctor up onto the mezzanine. Irina picked up Renesmee and was immediately next to the man. Mike walked over to Sabrina.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you," he said in a whisper.
"I know," the girl replied.
"You have to erase their memories, all of them."
"NOOO!," Renesmee shouted, "You promised you wouldn't erase my memory."
"You didn't keep your promise little girl," Mike said.
"Yes, I did. I promised I wouldn't use my power to show them how much I knew. I kept my promise."
"You come stay with us, you'll be fine," the little girl continued.
"We can't," Sabrina said.
"Yes, you tell them the truth."
"My children, it's the best solution for you and for them," Didyme said.
"No, Mom. Look at Bree. What do you think they'll do to her," Mike said.
The little girl clung to the arm of one of the girls she now that consired as one of his sisters.
"Go away, Doctor. Once we leave, his sons will be move again," Mike said.
Carlisle jumped down from the loft area. He was holding his niece. He looked at all of them. He was nervous and worried. He was about to say something when the smaller boy started to fuss, scream, and say,
"Bad Doctor, Bad Doctor."
Renesmee gasped and looked at her grandfather in fear.
"Damn… I already know I'll regret the advice I'm about to give you: hide, doctor, hide your entire family. Also warn the wolves of the reservation, there's something out there, something ancient and cruel," Mike said.
In my very personal ranking, Leah is in first place, the Volturi in second, especially Demetri, in third place a tie for Alistair, Embry and Nahuel. The ranking of favorites of course. To tell the truth, I like these four paired with Leah.
Sorry bad english.
