Follow Margaret's Institutionalization, and Ralph White having died before her birth, Carrie is kept in an orphanage for some time, as no one is able or has come forward into adopting or taking her in… until one day, The authorities discover Margaret has a brother, an Inventor Named Wallace, who lives in Wensleydale, Yorkshire in the UK, with his pet pooch: Gromit. The authorities reach out to the UK, to contact and inform Wallace about the situation…
Upon learning all this, Wallace is shocked, as his childhood that he shared with Margaret was difficult (A similar scenario to Carrie), until he eventually moved away to the UK, and never heard from his sister ever again… But from learning of Carrie's existence, as well as what she experienced, Wallace agrees to come over to the USA, with Gromit in tow, and meet his niece for the first time, as well as discussing of taking custody of Carrie…
