Chapter 1: Misfortune And Nightmare

It had been the aftermath of the party that had been hosted after the "pillar incident", and since it was a bit late for MK to go back home after helping Wukong clean-up, he stayed the night at the great sage's house.

Everyone had already left, and night time was approaching so Wukong helped MK Make his place sleeping on the floor (live me reaction: mattress? Bed sheets? Temporary bed?HELP-) He himself slept on the couch and so MK had to sleep on the floor. Wukong insisted on him sleeping on the sofa but MK politely declined. And so Wukong also slept on the floor with MK just to be closer to him and accompany him. MK suddenly remembered

He Blurted out ''OH NO I FORGOT TO COLLECT THE STAFF...will be riiight back, okay?''

He left before Wukong could open his mouth and speak. he quietly said to himself ''O-okay''

In his bed place (live me reaction: HEEELP AAAAAA WHAT IS IT CALLED?TvT) He curled up with knees close to his chest. Remembering MK's sacrificing incident. He shook his head and cleared his head of it. He was slightly traumatized. So much so, that he relives it sometimes dreaming of it. Suddenly MK barged in and snapped Wukong of his thoughts. Wukong looked anxious.

''Haa I got it. Shouldn't have forgot it huh...E-Everything okay Monkey King?''

Wukong didn't respond. As if, if he opened his mouth tears would come down running his cheeks.

MK said "okay then…let's sleep now''

''y-yeah okay''

It was past midnight and there it was again, another nightmare of MK sacrificing himself projecting in Wukong's head.

Wukong Whimpered, grunted, and mumbled in pain and despare ''n-no KID NO! NO'' he woke up tears and sweat running down his face. He sat hand on his forehead. He hushed himself gathering his thought. MK was surprisingly still asleep next to him. His vision was a bit blurry Looking at MK. And his hearing was a bit fuzzy. He shifted his focus back to himself again.

Wukong was finally back to normal. He let out a deep sigh. It was silence for a long time when Wukong noticed something was wrong with his successor. He turned back to look at MK. He froze in shock of the situation that was happening. Blood drained from Wukong's face as he saw MK.

''Eh-MK…?''

MK was Hyperventilating.

(Meaning: Hyperventilation is abnormal breathing that involves rapid and deep breathing. happens when you exhale more than you inhale. It causes symptoms like lightheadedness, chest pain and feeling like you're out of breath. Hyperventilation most commonly happens due to anxiety or stress, but underlying physical conditions can also cause it. UwU)

''Haa-h-haa''

Wukong Terrified, quickly held MK on his lap''

. He said ''Kid! Are you ok? You're starting to worry me bud. What's going on? Does it hurt? Are you in pain?''

MK was in no condition to speak. He was whimpering in pain. It was clear that he was having chest pain, since he grabbed his own collar and neck. He carefully open his eyes to see his mentor, but his vision was blurred out. Wukong noticed MK's body temperature dopped and he was as cold as ice. Not to mention he was shaking rapidly.

He opened his mouth and said ''It's so cold! I'm so lonely I can't move! I can't breathe! It's my punishment!"

Silence.

Wukong said ''Punishment? Punishment…" Is this my punishment? I must have done something wrong to deserve this. What did I do? ... I don't know… Something…I have to say something! Ah…Where did I go wrong? What mistake did I make? Why? … Spinning, My head is spinning. My head is going to overflow I can't think.

Wukong said with voice shaking ''you know I made mistakes too-"

''R-really? Did Monkey King do something wrong too?''

'' yeah…I…I…You see…''

My voice is gone. Is it okay to say it out loud like this? Wouldn't MK start hating me for this? … I might lose him…I'm Sacred…That's right if I lie, If I pretend…NO… I can't look into his eyes and lie…I Have to confess or this bitter punishment will NEVER GO AWAY…

''MK Please…''Please don't abandon me like everyone else.

''You know I committed a crime too. I killed Macaque. Even though I promised you…'' Plip. Plop.( U guys It's tears TvT) I promised you to never hurt anyone if they're not evil…I lied to him, deceived him, I wronged him, and ended up destroying him…I'm sorry for what I've done! I'm trying to atone to my sins, But I Can't. This will haunt me for the rest of my life. I'm sorry MK I'm genuinely so sorry. I'm sorry .I'm… Please don't abandon me…you're the one I care about the most.'' So much that I don't need anything or anybody else .''I hate being alone. I'm tired of being alone. I'm sick of it.''

Silence.

MK gentaly wraps his hands around Wukong Head. (IT'S A HUG U GUYS DON'T MAKE FUN O' ME I'M TRYING MY BEST TvT)

''MK…Are You feeling Ok? …Will You forgive me?''

''I know that you work hard for me…that's why I decided To Forgive you. Just Because It's Monkey King It's Okay…Monkey King Is way Wormer than family. You are WAY more warmer than anything and anyone else. I care about You the most. You know I'm sorry for lying to you too-''

''IT'S OKAY, IT DOESN'T MATTER! But thank you really'' He was still crying.

Wukong Said ''MK?''

''What?~''

''You're the most important person of my life"

''You too! Let's go back to sleep okay?''

Wukong replied ''Yeah It's pretty late- By the way are you sure you're okay?''

MK said ''You worry too much!'' Of course It's still hurting. I'm not okay at all!

They made their bed places and slept together. It was a long night, But it was good right?
