It's July in the Summer of 2012, The Junior classes of Ewen High School, from Chamberlain, Maine, are going on a school holiday, to Amity Island. Among the classes, is Carrie White, who despite being bullied and harassed by most of her classmates, is looking forward to getting out into the world, without being religiously ruled over by her mother…
One night, some of Carrie's classmates sneak out to go for a late-night swim in the sea… At first, the teens are all enjoying themselves, until one of them is pulled underwater by something… when some other teens try to help her, they see the water turning red, before being dragged under as well, one by one…
The following day, Carrie is with Miss Desjardin on the beach, when they come across a bloody severed arm in the sand, along with other severed body parts, with Crabs crawling all over them… To their horror, they recognize some of the features of the body parts, belonging to some their classmates/students… The discoveries are reported and taken away, leaving many to wonder who or what could have done that… As Carrie looks out to the sea, she sees a large upper fin briefly appear from underneath the water, before going back under…
