january, 2014

It was a surprisingly beautiful day in Forks, it was still cold, but the sun was out and shining golden white overhead, streaking through the trees. A beautiful blue sky over the dark earthy tones of the Olympic Peninsula of Northwestern Washington State. There was a soft breeze running through the trees and chilling the air, Naomi still was happy to see the sunshine descending from the sky in her hometown. She hasn't been here in ten years since she moved to Phoenix with her mother and older sister, well, it would've been nice years today, but she came back on the exact day she left. She was 13 going on 14 in April, now she's 21, going on 22 in April; she graduated college a year early November 2013 with flying colors, top student in her class. She majored in business office administrations; she already landed a job two weeks before arriving in her hometown. Naomi was particularly excited to come back home because she missed her father like a never-ending itch, and it has taken her boyfriend, no, fiancé three years after popping up the question to meet her father.

Naomi is blindly, naively, unconditionally in love with her fiancé, they met in high school, he was a senior and she was a freshman. Naomi has been in love with him since the day she met him, unfortunately she doesn't see that her fiancé is not the man she believes him to be, she's young and still innocent to world. She was almost one year out of college; she worked in an office up until her fiancé finally agreed to move before their wedding in July. Her fiancé, well, having gone to college for athletics and business administration, and being four years older than his fiancée he knows how deeply in love she is but that doesn't stop him from being… untrue, and disrespectful behind her back. Naomi is a beautiful young woman, mahogany brown hair that flew all the all down to the middle of her thighs in tight, curly waves bright sky-blue eyes with brown outlining her pupil, a blue and brown galaxy. Soft heart shaped face with her father's facial features, she is curvy, and slim, she was the whole package. She stands at a tall 5'2 naturally. She is wearing a long sleeve, a hoodie and jeans with a pair of boots, beautiful and naively in love. Naomi maybe naïve and erratic at times but the way her father raised her, he wanted her to still have innocence.

She wasn't harebrained, she is responsible and she is trusting, kind, she has been taken advantage of for those qualities of her character. She started to develop early in her preteens, she had become a troublemaker because of the early hormones and her mental illness she inherited. Naomi is responsible, educated, a true feminine woman, one of the reasons well the only reason her fiancé is truly with her, is her food. He doesn't care that she is a catch, the whole package, a Queen, he doesn't care that this woman will follow him to the ends of the Earth without question. She'd just wait for him to come home, come home to a clean house, hot food on the table, ready to hear his day, hear his thoughts and encourage him, he just sees her as another female that worships the ground he walks. She doesn't question his early mornings and late nights, she's… naively, blindly in love, she trusts her fiancé to her core, she doesn't see his disrespect. And she doesn't hear the disrespect in his tone whenever she mentions her friends, her family, her job, she doesn't see that he is obsessively controlling, she doesn't see that he doesn't want her around anyone.

He wants her… isolated, he wants her home, all the time, he doesn't want to get caught cheating. Jason Friõ, her fiancé, has had about every woman from his college classes, women in his old workplace and… he was already searching for new affairs before arriving in the state of Washington. He wants her isolated because he's not just a cheater, he manipulates Naomi to believe he's allowed to hit her if he feels it's right, she's his fiancée, she will be his wife so he's trying to 'break her in' as his father would call it. Yes, he learned it all from his father, having been taught that women were nothing but meat and had to be tamed to his every need. Yes, you can say that if a different man raised Jason, he would be a better man to the beautiful woman in the passenger seat of his new, sleek sedan.

He has strict rules, she has to cook, there's no negotiation with that, breakfast, lunch and dinner, she has to clean, she has to be in the house right after work. If they need to go shopping, she must ask him first, she must go over what they need to him first. And by no means of negotiation, she must please him sexually, orally, Naomi doesn't know the last time she has had her own satisfaction, she brushes it off. Most of the time, Naomi doesn't get anything for herself if he doesn't see fit, he'll always promise next time she can have that perfume, she can get that fruit, next time she can get that dress. Anything that will tamper with his manipulation that was slowly killing her self-esteem would be eliminated, anything that tampered with his secrets wasn't allowed. The more comfortable she is with herself and who she is, she will wake up and she will realize, Jason knows this, so he has started to become physically abusive. He'll threaten to hit her, beat her, he'll say it's out of love, that he loves her, he says it's discipline.

Naomi doesn't know anything else, not since she lived here in this town, she has been manipulated since she was 14, since she met Jason. Her father, Charlie Swan Chief of Forks Police, knows about Jason from her mother, Renee Dwyer, she knows what kind of man Jason is. Her own husband Phil knows what kind of man Jason is, Naomi won't listen to them. They worry about her, consistently, they worry about her more since they heard Jason yell at Naomi through a phone call talking to her talking to her family. After that phone call, Renee called Charlie immediately, Phil and Renee spent almost two hours on a phone call with Charlie talking about Jason.

That phone had been overheard by Charlie's wife's, Sue Clearwater, now Sue Swan, kids, Seth and Leah. Seth was Naomi's best friend growing up since they were the same age, and a lot alike, for years they all believed Seth and Naomi would end up together. Seth denied it, he loved Naomi, but he was never in love with her and vice versa, platonic soulmates, and to say the least, Naomi really wanted Jason to meet Seth out of everyone. Jacob Black had also been there, there were all having dinner, now Jacob Black… he was in love with Naomi, always had been and he denied it, his feelings towards Naomi were nothing like how he felt about her older sister, Bella Cullen. He was infatuated with Bella, she reminded him of Naomi in a sense, both girls completely different and Jacob knew that his feelings for Bella as months passed after she married Edward that it was just… lust, the thought of being with her thrilled him but he ended up dreaming about Naomi.

No lustful fantasies, just dreaming about being around her, with her, it was… different, he would see some pictures of her from Seth's mind after Charlie would show him the pictures Renee sent. Seth and Charlie were proud and happy to see the woman she was growing to be, but they could see she wasn't happy. It was in her eyes, hidden subconsciously, Jacob recognized it after Seth was thinking hard about the pictures noticing something wrong. Then they all realized, all the members of Jacob Black's pack, Leah, Seth, Embry and Quil and himself seen the unhappiness hidden in her eyes. And none of them expect Leah Clearwater believed that she would be in love with a man like Jason, Leah justified her thoughts by the example of her older sister. Seth had been beside him hearing his sister's thoughts about his childhood best friend, he didn't like the relationship as much as her parents did but that doesn't mean he doesn't know her. Seth knows who she is, and he always knew she was innocently naïve, very trusting, and he was determined to get her out of that situation.

She was his best friend, and he didn't want her soul to be tainted, ruined by the disrespect and inconsideration of her fiancé. Jacob was convinced when Naomi returned and when they and over for dinner Seth would imprint on her, he was convinced just by Seth's thoughts. They were all convinced that Seth was truly in love with her, but he didn't feel that way, he couldn't imagine himself romantically with Naomi, it made him feel like he was thinking about being romantic with his sister. Embry Call was convinced Jacob would imprint on Naomi, there was something about the way Jacobs wolf reacted to her name, how Jacob reacted subconsciously to anything related to Naomi. Jacob is always being tormented about his lack of a love life, Leah imprinted on Sebastian and is married for five years now, Quil Ateara is thinking about popping the question to his imprint Claire who the same age as Seth and Naomi is also. Seth was focused on going back to college soon, so he was hoping to find his imprint. His wolf is particularly excited to go back to school so that gave Seth hope.

Embry Call was another one without a love life, well, he imprinted, and his imprint rejected him, he was 18 when he imprinted, and she hasn't returned. Embry is in pain from the rejection, his chest and head physically hurt and increases in pressure every day, and he knows that his imprint wasn't going to return anytime soon. She wasn't … the best woman, she is a loose woman, abusive like Jason, a nympho, sex addict, Embry is damaged because before she moved away, she told him she wanted him, but she only did it because well… sex, she's a sex addict. And if she were to ever return, Embry prayed that she wouldn't hurt him again because by the bond of the imprint, he will forgive her and do anything for her. Jacob hated it, he hated that part about imprinting, the blindness of it all.

Naomi felt different… today, something felt different, and she convinced her mind it was a good different and her mind caved. The sunny day helped convince her mind in its beauty, she helped get their stuff into their house in the middle of Forks. The house is surrounded by neighbors and forest, Jason was truly distasteful about the forest, he hated everything about nature. He would much rather have moved to Chicago, or Atlanta or LA, or New York City, he imagined moving to those cities with his fiancée and all the endless possibilities of the thrill of cheating made him wish that he put his foot down to move there instead. He had been surprised by himself that he agreed to move here, but he was all more excited to leave when everything in the house was settled.

Leave to go see the woman he had been talking to online for a couple weeks now, he so badly needed a release, and that woman was more than happy to 'satisfy him since his fiancée won't' that woman didn't even know that he will release before he sees her. After everything is settled in the house and Naomi was finishing setting up their bedroom, Jason decided to be 'lovey' with his woman. After she satisfied him and he ever so lazily satisfied her back if you could call the light, lazy licks on her womanhood satisfying, Naomi is greatly sexually frustrated. She didn't even want to continue when he was between her legs for a minute, a single full minute before entering her body for three minutes and splattering on her thigh. He left after that, and he didn't come back home until close to 1 am, having spent hours having teasing and dragged-out sex with the woman from online.

They weren't aware of the sandy wolf and russet brown wolf running the perimeter of her house, having heard what just happened between them. Seth and Jacob were… well, they didn't know what to think having heard the very short sexual intercourse and yes, they knew if she ever found out there'd be hell to pay. But Quil said something that made Embry jump in.

That's it? That's all he's going to do? Quil demands, running along the treaty borderline going into La Push.

That was… two minutes. She pleased him for half an hour, and two minutes is all he can do for her? Embry scoffs, running along the cliffs near First Beach.

Weak man. Quil physically shakes his wolf head.

He's leaving, Jake. Seth remarks watching Jason leave out the front door, freshly showered and looking, satisfied.

Let's go find out what we can. Jacob says as watching Jason, his mind replaying Charlie asking him to check on Naomi when she arrived, asking him to figure Jason out.

Seth had agreed before Jacob did, Jacob didn't want to stalk, neither did Seth but Charlie was worried and they all worried. Seth and Jacob followed Jason in the trees to the other woman's house, Embry, Quil and Leah cursed him out from in the pack mind as they listened through Seth and Jacobs thoughts. Jason was disgustingly disrespectful about Naomi behind her back, the other woman believed that Naomi was lazy, and refusing to treat him right as he planned it. Seth and Jacob stalked in the tree line hearing the two babble about Naomi and 'her ways' while satisfying each other. Jacob had to alpha order Seth to stay away, stay out of it until they had enough evidence for Naomi; it took a lot in him to stay away from the house also being infuriated about the betrayal to a woman he grew up with.

Naomi brushed off their recent sexual altercation, and busied herself with cleaning again and cooking dinner, she waited for Jason to come back. Waiting for him at the table with bowls of the meal she prepared on the set table, she had such faith and trust in him she would forgive him when he came home. She sat at the table for two hours waiting for him, the food was cold, and she was still patiently waiting when she reheated the food, she waited patiently picking at her plate for thirty minutes. She ignored the sick feeling in her stomach as she always does, she ignores the uncomfortably between her legs, she ignores her body signs of Jason cheating. She cleaned the house again before going upstairs to bathe, she focused her mind on her job she's starting in the morning, she was excited for this new chapter.

Jason came back into the house at 1 am, never noticing the two wolves who came back to check on Naomi. They can hear her sleeping peacefully in the bedroom, Jason was quiet as ever, sneaky as ever. He showered, went into the basement, and slept on the couch that night. He was out of the house before Naomi woke up to get ready for her first day. And that was a problem, being that he had the car, and he wasn't planning on returning home any time soon that day. He was planning on spending the day with the other woman, he was… sprung, he was having feelings for the other woman and today, he was going to take her to Port Angeles. To spoil her, spend money on her, spending hundreds of dollars on the woman and his fiancée at home must beg him to buy a t-shirt for her.

That next morning Naomi woke up to an empty bed, an empty house, an empty driveway, and with another ego piercing horrible yeast infection. She had them before, so she always had treatments just in case. She called his mobile phone several times before getting ready for work, she called several more times thirty minutes before her shift begins. She gave up and was beyond upset, she needed to go to work but the way her mental was today… she felt so… weak, depressed, angry and… so unbelievably, and utterly insecure. She hated feeling insecure and she didn't know why she was, she knew the woman she is but… she didn't believe that Jason didn't come home. She vaguely remembers hearing the front door open but she's not sure, still ignoring that sick feeling in the pit of her stomach.

She hated it with everything in her.

She started to worry, her thoughts completely opposite to betrayal, it was fifteen minutes before her shift when she called him again. Still no answer, straight to their identical voicemail, she called her father after that, he was at work so he couldn't take her to work. Seth was there and overheard the conversation at his place as a male receptionist for the police department, just a job until he returned to school in the fall, so he sent Seth to take her to work.

Naomi was sitting on the porch with her work bag and lunchbox, she could only lock the bottom lock on the front door since… Jason had all the keys. She justified it as him being a man, since it was his job to make sure the house was… safe, but she was angry with him and she wanted him to shove it. She was wearing a light blue blazer, light blue short but professionally appropriate pencil skirt, the skirt had a slit, she wore a white blouse and pantyhose because of the cold. She put on light makeup today, as she always does, mascara, and a shade of lipstick that was always different. She only wore make up for work or dates, she doesn't go on dates anymore and she missed going out with Jason. She is elegantly beautiful today, not that she felt like it but her appearance was, she looked so grown and professional, Seth met her eyes as he walked up the driveway.

He stopped as everything froze around him, her blue/brown eyes was all he seen as she was illuminated in a white simmering light and the world tilted on its axis right under his feet, he fell in love on sight, gravity shifted from under his feet. All he could about was her, her very soul, gravity shifted towards, gravitating him towards her. She felt it, he knew she felt it, he knew what she wanted, what she needed as the bond fully formed into place. The world began to fall back into place as the light faded from around her form, she stood from the stairs.

Then Jason crossed his mind. Oh, things were going to change. And then their parents came to his mind. Either way, there were other roles he could be in her life, he could to be her best friend and her brother for the rest of their lives, and that was enough for him.

He grinned at her as he heard heart skip a beat within her chest, happy to see his best friend, "you called for a taxi?" He asked with a huge, happy grin, that signature Seth.

Naomi stifles her smile at his playful tone, but the smile spread across her face anyways, her best friend/stepbrother is here, and her day was a hundred times better. The drive was filled with conversation about college, their next plans for the future, her first day was well … She was uncomfortable but she dealt with it, she knew that it was because she was sexually active, if she only knew it was because of her fiancée's cheating member with other women's lingering essences even after bathing. Seth was there to take her home, having already found out that Jason wasn't going to be there. Seth phased after he dropped Naomi off and went looking for Jason, Embry joined him today, they found Jason at the other woman's house satisfying each other before they left for Port Angeles. She is a blonde woman with green eyes and the same height as Naomi, but she was… well everyone knew who this woman was, Lauren. She was in Bella's friend group in high school, and she became the small town whore, and there were rumors she is supposed to be evicted for no payments.

Jason and Lauren were talking about it on the ride to Port Angeles, Jason was ready for a new chapter, a new woman. He was never in love with Naomi, he had been lustful, and he didn't expect himself to become possessive but now… he wanted to marry Lauren instead. They made plans to start a life, Lauren was supposed to be out of her one bedroom on Friday. It's Monday and they made plans to start a life on Friday. Seth and Embry couldn't quite hear the conversation, but they had a bad feeling…

"She works 8am to 5pm, so we can throw her stuff out and move your stuff in before she gets home. And reveal the news when she comes in." Jason had said, and Lauren agreed.

Both of them were ready for the new chapter like it wasn't going to destroy Naomi.

And that same day, Friday, Charlie wanted to have dinner, he was going to ask Naomi tonight for another family dinner.

Naomi was a lot happier during the ride home, she was excited about the planned dinner at her house tonight, a planned dinner week before she moved back. She was accepting to Quil, Claire, and Embry also joining the dinner, she was happy at the thought of the evening filled with company. She missed her home dearly, and she wasn't going to say no, she was never going to say no.

Naomi left a living room window open to be able to get back into the house already knowing Jason wasn't going to be home. His excuse was looking for a job, he already had a job he was starting it next week, but he planned to spend his week with Lauren, and Naomi believed him. Seth was attentive as he watched her climb into the living room through the window, he was very tempted to tell her what he knew but he kept quiet on that. He needed evidence and Leah was already working on that currently, Leah is sitting up in a tree that has clear view of Laurens bedroom she was taking pictures every three seconds. They brought a friend home with them, Lauren was more than happy to share Jason with someone else, especially with someone she knew, Jessica Stanley. Embry at the bottom of tree in his wolf form, talking with Jacob and Quil patrolling around La Push and close to Forks.

Seth walked around the downstairs of the two-bedroom house, looking for anything that could give him evidence to give to Naomi, he didn't find anything. Everything was… Naomi, the decorations all the way down to the furniture was her, he loved it. He would probably have more luck finding something in Jason's car.

Somewhere deep in the mountains of Alaska was a beautiful house tucked away in the deep countryside, inside was two covens of animal feeding vampires. The Denali Clan and the Cullen clan, five members of the Denali Clan, two males and three females, nine members of the Cullen clan, four males, and five females. One female of the Cullen clan was a hybrid, vampire and human hybrid. The smallest of the vampires, the one that can have subjective visions based on mental decisions has been watching the future of her sister in laws human sister.

Alice knows what is happening in Washington, she knows what is going to happen in Washington. Today she is extremely anxious, Bella's sisters' future keeps changing, and gaps are filling those visions, the change in Renesmee's future, everyone in the Denali house. The large, combined coven knows feared what was to come, but they can't do anything yet, Bella is beyond frustrated with not being able to get her sister out of the situation. They can't reveal their existence to her… until a vision from Alice had caught Edward off guard, he watches her every vision out of request from his wife. And this was something that gave him dismay, all he truly desired was to live a life with his family. But the pervious terms seem to be void now, and that was something affected everyone involved with the Cullen Clan. There was more to happen than the revealing of Jason's betrayal, and the combined clans had no choice but to start planning to return to Forks. They spent hours talking and planning, after a conclusion and the plans were set into motion, Bella picked up her mobile phone to call a certain house she hasn't called since 2006.

Billy caught the phone before he was heading out the door with Sue Swan helping him.

"Hello?" Billy asked confused, he wasn't expecting any calls today.

"Hello, Billy." Bella's voice was clear and melodic bells.

Billy almost choked out of shock, and with a twinge of distaste in his chest, he knows Bella fell in one with a Cold One, but he just prayed that it did not affect the Quileute children. However, fate had a different plan in mind, they were and they were stuck it longer than necessary with a very dead vengeful vampire. Especially his own son whose despises phasing into a massive wolf, despises being a shapeshifter. But at the same time, this one he was around when she was born, she was around for Jacob's birth, Naomi and Seth's birth, he watched her grow until she was 6 when Renee filed for divorce and fled. But if Bella was calling… something was wrong.

"Hello, Bella," Billy says, Sue looking up from her purse perplexed.

"Is Jake around?"

"He's not here right now. Sue and I were just heading out for dinner at Naomi's. is something wrong?"

Bella sighs from the other end, clarifying Billy's worries, "I'm afraid so… The Volturi is coming back."

Billy sighs heavily, "when will you be returning?" he asks.

"Tomorrow morning." Billy sighs again, "I'm sorry, Billy. I wish we were returning on better circumstances." Bella apologizes while motherly fixing her daughter's curls, her daughter, Renesmee Cullen, is full grown now but her daughter loves affection so she didn't mind it.

She was 25 years old physically, mentally, and emotionally. She was worried and anxious, she remembered her early years of her life having to prepare to keep her alive, safe. Even though Sam had been determined on killing her and her mother before she was born, he let them be after Seth brought his imprint, Emily Young, to fight for the baby's life. Jacobs pack had fallen in love with the baby, unconditionally, that was the power of a new life, a mysterious child that they were willing to protect. And now, they were coming back to see the young woman she grew up to be, but from visions. It wasn't for good intentions.

"I'll let Jake know," Billy replied, "it's alright, Bella, I missed you." And that wasn't a lie, he missed the eighteen-year-old immortal.

After a goodbye and hanging up the phone, Sue and Billy left the little red house and drove to La Push talking about the phone call. An unsettling feeling settling in the pits of their stomachs when it set in that there could be a potential battle.

Seth helped Naomi cook dinner, they talked about everything but Jason, Naomi was grateful for it, but she was also confused. She had been expecting questions, they'd most likely come from her father and Billy, she knew that, in that moment Jason decided to call Naomi to tell her he wasn't returning home, he was stuck in Seattle for the night. That he went to Seattle looking for a job, and he figured he'd stay the night to search tomorrow. In that same moment as Lauren and Jessica were upstairs in Laurens bedroom, slyly talking about breaking the news earlier to Naomi. Tonight, Lauren doesn't want to wait until Friday, so they planned quietly as Jason called Naomi downstairs.

Leah overhead the conversation, so did Embry and the conversation was transferred to the others through the pack mind. About three years ago, Sam gave up the alpha title, he stopped phasing and started a family with Emily Uley, his wife of three kids already, a fourth one is on the way. Jared also stopped phasing, he married Kim six years ago and they're expecting their second child, Paul also got married when he finished high school. Rachel and Paul Lahote are living happily, he didn't stop phasing but they're also expecting, Leah is planning to stop phasing soon to start her own family. She will have five good fertile years once she stops phasing, she'll be highly fertile for a while because of the pause in her menstrual cycle for eight years. Quil, Seth, Embry, Brady, and Jacob weren't going to stop phasing yet, much to everyones' surprise that Jacob hasn't quit phasing already, he won't admit it verbally but it has grown on him.

Quil, Jacob, Brady and Paul heard the conversation through Embry's thoughts.

What did I miss? Paul hasn't phased in a couple days, doesn't really have too with no threats in the small towns.

Just minor human petty crimes.

Ain't this a turn of events. Quil quips.

So what do we do?

Seth overheard the phone conversation and continued what he was doing at the stove without making it known, he did, however, text his mother and her husband individually.

Seth… didn't know what to do, he hasn't phased since earlier and he doesn't know what's going on now currently.

Go to the dinner, Charlie will tell her she won't believe him until she sees. Those pictures Leah's taking won't be done until later tonight. let her know she's not alone. We let it play through.

Who do you think is going to imprint on her? Brady asks Quil playfully knocking into him and they tumbled on the forest floor behind Paul, who scurried away not to get tangled in the playful wrestling of wolves.

Why? You want her? Paul asks if his voice is not hiding his interest and pending torment towards Brady.

Brady couldn't hide his thoughts, just by Jacob's mind remembering what Seth was thinking about Naomi, how looked, Brady was attracted to her. He wants to see her; he wants to know he would. Seth was irritated with Jason, and Seth doesn't get irritated. Seth didn't think before calling out to Naomi about the stove, harmless and he was concerned, he might've messed up a side dish listening to the conversation.

Ha! Wait tell Seth hears this.

Ugh. Embry says unsure of what he's seeing, Embry heard Seth through the phone and Embry seen Jason's face twist. He heard Seth… he's… pissed. He's going upstairs.

Jason felt… weird, he felt jealous, it was he wasn't sure why he is feeling this way he was feeling jealous. He has been cheating, he knows that she found out she would be devastated, he was already moving before he realized it.

Jacob was passing Naomi's house, yes Naomi's house it's in her name, the car is in Jason's name. Charlie arrived early, Jacob snorted from in the tree line at his excitement about seeing Naomi, he didn't want this one to leave.

Charlie's here. It's like Naomi is Santa Claus.

Naomi stopped by the sink looking out the window, her brows furrowed confused if she was seeing what she was seeing. Jacob was not paying attention to how close he was in the opening brush of the forest; it was about twenty feet from the side of the house. But she could see him clearly, his wolf, she was wondering if she was hallucinating, Jacob felt the eyes on him. In the same moment Jacob looked over to the kitchen window, Seth followed her gaze, Naomi and Seth the lift of the wolfs head in surprise.

Naomi looked up at Seth, they both turned to Charlie barging in the door saying his credentials. The wolf in the trees pushed back for now, Seth looked back out the window Jacob didn't reappear. Seth turned his attention back to the stove, he turned off the burners, dinner … might have been burned, a little. Naomi came back into the kitchen with Charlie asking a bunch of questions and offering to buy pizza and wings.

"It's alright, it's just two of the dishes. I got leftover mashed potatoes, gravy and chicken in the fridge." She replied opening the fridge and grabbing the containers of leftover food.

Jason was back upstairs with the two whores in now time, blowing off steam.

Charlie looked around the downstairs of his daughter's two-bedroom house and out into the driveway, he was thinking about her fiancé, he looked at the pictures in the living room. He looked at Jason standing beside her in one of the photos, Jason had been in love with her in that picture and their smiles were unforgettable. They were prom pictures; she was fifteen and in a beautiful pale purple dress and he was dressed sharply, and his eyes were on her as she smiled at the camera. He looked at the other pictures, Charlie could see the difference in every one of them.

Every single one of them, the way his expression changed, his body language was off.

The rest of the time waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive, Seth and Charlie talked Naomi's ear off as she heated up the leftovers and they set the table while she bowled up the food to be brought to the table. When the table was set, Naomi poured her father some liquor while having twisting of nausea in her stomach like a tight coil. Billy, and Sue arrived with Rachel and Paul not too long after, Naomi went upstairs to get relief from her coiling stomach, Seth and Paul heard her vomiting in the bathroom upstairs. Jacob arrived with the rest of the guests, Embry, Leah, Quil and Brady while Naomi was coming back downstairs with her teeth brushed.

"Hi, Mi!" Embry greeted seeing her first, smiling widely.

Naomi smiled, "Hey, Embry."

Jason groaned in pleasure as Jessica rode him backwards, her hands on his thighs as she lifted herself up and down on his length, Lauren was smirking while getting the camera ready on Jason's phone. Jason was distracted enough for Lauren to record a short video of what Jessica was doing to him, Lauren sat down on her bed and smiled slyly when she got Jason talking to Jessica sultry. She ended the recording and sent the video before deleting the video from his phone completely, Naomi's phone dinged in the bathroom with a new attachment being downloaded with the babble of dinner conversation and laughter. Jessica got a video of Lauren and Jason, sent the video and deleted the video from the phone, her phone dinged again.

Dinner was filled with jokes and things about everyone in past several years, Charlie was a little loose from the liquor, Naomi didn't eat too much she picked at the mac and cheese, Paul, Quil, Billy, Embry, and Charlie had joke war that ended with Paul as the victor. Jacob observed Naomi the whole time, observing every little move she made, studying her down to the t. The food was gone by the time it was time to clean up, Jason left Lauren's house a couple minutes before the dinner table was being cleared. The party was brought into the living room.

"Naomi," Paul calls walking into the living room with his eyes on her stomach, she looks up at me while clasping her hands on her lap, "you got a bun on the oven?"

Naomi's eyes widened and looked down at her stomach; around the room, and then back at Paul, "huh?"

Paul snorted a laugh and looked down at his wife, Embry climbs the staircase hearing a phone ringing upstairs, Seth and Jacob walked into the living room after helping in the kitchen of cleaning up the rest of the dishes. Charlie looked at his wife, despite knowing his daughter fiancé is a douchebag he was very excited about becoming a grandfather. The wolves as a whole could hear the echo of her heartbeat, a second heartbeat within her, that was something that Naomi wouldn't understand yet.

"Don't play dumb," Paul says, smirking.

Rachel backhands his kidney, "Paul."

He put is hands up in surrender, "what? Come on, she's pregnant, you can see it."

"Paul."

Naomi sighs and looks back over at the elders, all three of them already looking at her, Sue smiles at her kindly.

"Ignore him," Sue pats Naomi's left thigh, "Paul is Paul."

"I'm not pregnant, thank you Paul," Naomi crossed her legs and her arms, feeling self-conscious.

Seth was in a haste coming into the living room he slipped and fell onto the floor, shaking the whole house and almost making Naomi pee on herself from the sudden movement. From being startled and her own laughter, the house erupted into laughter as Seth picked himself up off the floor. Upstairs Embry and Jacob looked down at the phone on the sink of the bathroom, Jason's nickname flashing across the screen of her iPhone. Jacob went to snatch it when Embry answered the call.

"Hello?" Embry says in a poor imitation voice of Madea.

Jason's face twisted with an ugly monster brewing in his stomach, "Who is this?"

Embry holds Jacob back with a single hand in the middle of his chest, "This is Embry Call, your fiancée's childhood friend-."

Jason's phone died then.

Embry looked down at the phone as the call ended suddenly and Jacob snatched it from his hand placing it back down on the bathroom sink.

"But-." Paul's wife stopped him with a glare.

"Paul, that's enough," Rachel scolded lightly.

The rest of night went smoothly after that, the rest of the week went smoothly for Jason once his whores regained his attention. Naomi found her phone in the bathroom while they were gone, the texts and videos she seen, she rewatched the video three times before she knew what she had to do. Staying here was out of the question, but she wanted to confront him, she had to convince herself to go keep the knives hidden until she left.

Naomi took an apple cider vinegar bath, she went through the whole house separating everything and cleaning. She packed up her clothes and transferred them into the second bedroom. She stripped the beds and washed the sheets, blankets and etc, she rewashed her clothes that wasn't dry cleaning. She made herself a quick mean filled with probiotics and more healthy producing bacteria. She went to bed that night with a smile, and the next morning she woke up with a smile. You could say that her defenses were up and her pride was an all-time high, she made an apple cider drink as she got herself ready for the day, she showered again and scrubbed the tub. She got dressed for work and waited for her father, the rest of the week went smooth, and she is getting her confidence back with that ego injuring YI.

Naomi dressed that Friday morning to be in the hospital instead of work, today she had to get tested. That wasn't up for debate, her boss had been impressed but she gave her the day off. Charlie picked her up and dropped her off at the hospital for her appointment and he waited until she was done, she was evaluated and right away they prescribed an anti-viral for the yeast infection. Charlie pulled into the driveway of her two-bedroom with Jason's car in the driveway, Naomi looked over at him.

"I never told you enough much of a great father you are. Thank you," Naomi said smiling at him.

Charlie coughed, he's only used to Sue giving him affection lately, but from her, it was a lot more, "You're welcome," he nodded awkwardly and then he shifted to her, "Are you coming home yet?"

She laughed, "Yes."

"Well, then, what are you waiting for?" Charlie demanded as Naomi laughed again.

Naomi opened the front door to Jason sitting at the coffee table with a vanilla envelope and printed pictures scattered across the glass top. Jason looked up at her as she stood by the coffee table.

"Where have you been?" He demanded as if he had the audacity as she stared down at the pictures.

The pack was around, Seth was the closet.

She scoffed and turned on her heel and went upstairs.

"Naomi! Answer me?" Jason stormed over to the staircase following her into the second bedroom.

"At the hospital, testing to see if you gave me herpes. I know in a week oh, and also, I'm leaving." She said matter of fact.

"Leaving? Leaving where? You have nowhere to go! Wait, is this because of Seth?!" Jason demanded as Naomi picked up the duffel bags she packed up.

She scoffed, "No."

"Oh really?! That's bullshit."

"You're bullshit," She countered walking past him with the bags on her shoulders.

"What? Bitch, please! You're so fucking immature, grow up. Be real."

"Fuck off, Jason." Naomi spat as she began to descend the stairs. "I don't need you. I don't want you. You can go back to Lauren and Jessica. I'm sure they're missing you. Besides your dick doesn't work for me. It works for them. Also, you should get tested, I heard Lauren has herpes."

If Jason was raised by a different man, things would've been different. If Naomi hadn't moved to Phoenix and Jacksonville, things would've been different. If Jason hadn't kept her around because she was the only one girl who genuinely wanted him, he had truly loved her. Things would've been different.

It's been a mystery

And still, they try to see

Why something good can hurt so bad

Caught on a one-way streets

The taste of bittersweet

Jason descended to where she was and shoved her forward. Charlie heard her scream, Naomi lying on her back screaming at her dislocated right shoulder took most of the impact, she scrambled across the floor with her right leg tingling as she tried to get away from Jason descending on her. A kick to her mouth and a kick to her abdomen before Charlie tackled Jason onto the floor as Seth called the police from the tree line with Jacob and Leah on either of his sides.

Caught on a one-way streets

The taste of bittersweet

Love will survive somehow, someway

Naomi was brought to the hospital with Charlie right behind, she made a statement once she was in a sling and soon being discharged with an exhausted Charlie after hours of being within the building. Jason being held in downtown after the judge ordered bail or held until his court date in two weeks, Lauren and Jessica didn't bother to help him, they emptied his bank account, and they were on the next flight to New York City. The Cullen and Denali Clan driving down the hallway from Port Angeles, as the pack chased down a small rouge clan of vampires through the deep thick forest, Naomi signed papers for a PFA file. Naomi was ridden in personal self-pity and shame as the events fully settled, after all these years, she truly realized how naïve she had been. A silent anger towards her father for raising her this way, a silent anger she couldn't hold back after the doctor and police officers left, a silent anger that broke Charlie's heart in ways he didn't think were possible from her. Her anger words had pierced his soul and he knew she was right, Billy always told him not to baby her, not to let her move to Pheonix, his mother told him to raise her to be strong and aware during her last days.

He knew he had failed in certain ways but the one thing he knew for certain that those ways were going to make sense to her someday. Someday she will realize why she spoiled with love from him, she will one day realize that the man that she was supposed to marry her would treating her the same way. Helping her learn her strength, help her learn to love again. He knew that one day she would be thanking him for it all. But right now, she was angry, she had been isolated, she had been beaten, she was broken right now. She just needed to heal.

He let her make plans to stay with Renee until she was ready to come back. Charlie just wished she didn't choose to stay away forever.

One love feeds the fire

One heart burns desire

Wonder who's crying now

Two hearts born to run

Who'll be the lonely one

Wonder who's crying now

So many stormy nights

So many wrong or rights

Neither could change their headstrong ways

And in a lover's rage

They tore another page

The fighting is worth the love they save
