Meanwhile in the Cannibal District, the leader was having a nice break/tea time with finger foods after dealing with the usual business with her people.
"So nice to just sit back and relax." Rosie said.
Rosie set her tea down and grabbed one of her finger foods, a literal finger in a chocolate biscuit with blood frosting on the nail.
She tossed it in her mouth and smiled at the taste.
"Mmmm, perfect taste for a perfect moment of peace." Rosie said to herself.
There was then a knock on the door, making her quickly swallow her food.
"Mmm? Who could that be?" She asked as she got up from her chair and walked to the door.
She opened the door and Emily was on the other side.
"EM-EM!" Roshi screamed in joy.
"Hey, Mama Rosie!" Emily said with a smile before she was hugged.
"So what brings you by?" Rosie asked.
"Well-"
"HAVE YOU SEEN MR. ALASTOR?!" Niffty shouted as she reveals herself on Emily's head.
"…I'm sorry but I honestly thought you were a hat, dear." Rosie said to Niffty.
"Well, I don't think she knows how to shape shift like me. At least I hope not." Emily said as they broke the hug.
"Is he here?!" Niffty shouted, jumping off and grabbing Rosie's by the shirt to scream in her face! "Is Mr. Alastor here?!"
"I'm sorry but I'm afraid I haven't seen him." Rosie said, shaking her head.
"B-B-But…GAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!" Niffty suddenly burst into tears as Rosie jolted in surprise.
"She's been like this ALL day." Emily said, patting Niffty's head.
"Really? Any reason?" Rosie asked as she naturally held Niffty like a baby and rocked her gently.
"Alastor left one day with telling or teasing anyone about it and has been gone for an almost a week now. Niffty's been worried sick and practically falling apart without him. We're trying to find him." Emily explained.
"And this little dearie is worried to death?"Rosie asked, nodding to Niffty.
"Yep. We were hoping he was here." Emily said.
"Oh dear, that's horrible." Rosie said.
"I-I-I just.." Niffty tried to say but was too emotional as Rosie brought her over to the table.
"How about some nice tea and finger foods to calm ya down, honey? Would you like that?" She asked.
The small cyclops sniffled as she slowly nodded to Rosie
"... Yes, please." Niffty aaid.
"Room for one more?" Emily asked.
"Of course, sweetie! Take a seat!" Rosie said as she gave Niffty a finger food.
Emily needed a break to think about everything.
The killing sinner, Alastor missing, Charlie missing, Roo cussing chaos; Emily thought that the whole world was coming to end and she needed to unwind before she had a mental breakdown!
'Some finger foods and tea is JUST what I need.' Emily thought as she saw Niffty nibbling on a finger like a hamster. 'Niffty too it seems.'
She had a feeling that Alastor missing and Charlie missing may be connected, but she was actually very nervous about what she might find out.
"Do you have any liquor?" Emily asked as she sat down.
"Lift the globe of the seven rings behind you." Rosie said, feeing Niffty another finger food.
'What a sneaky woman.' Emily thought as she opened up the globe, seeing various bottles of booze.
Some of which she has never seen before.
"Damn, Mama been hiding the good stuff." Emily said.
"What can I say? Mama needs her secrets too." Rosie said as she gave Niffty some tea to wash down the food. "Try the Glengoolie Red, it's got genuine human blood mixed inside of it."
"Ooo, fancy." Emily said as she grabbed a clear bottle with red liquid inside, pouring it into the tea cup first before sipping it. "Mmm, that's pretty good."
She then adding some tea to the cup along with some more Glengoolie Red. This kind of drink was just what she needed after recent events.
"More tea please." Niffty asked, finally calmed down.
"Of course, dear." Rosie said, pouring Niffty another cup.
'Whereever Alastor is, Niffty may strangle him when we do find him for making her feel like this.' Emily thought as she looked at Niffty
Speaking of finding, Emily wondered how the search for Charlie was going with the royal guards and others.
If she wasn't found soon and the masses found out she was missing, then all of Hell would descend into madness!
She didn't need to see that.
"So, aside from this Alastor business, how have you two been?" Rosie asked, changing the subject.
"How much time you got?" Emily asked before eating a finger food.
"Hmmm, I can clear my schedule for about 2 hours. So talk away." Rosie said with a smile.
"Well, my dad was nearly killed by the original sinner and now we might be facing a war." Emily said, shockkng the cannibal leader. "And that's just the start of it."
As Rosie listened with genuine interest and growing worry, a shadow was watching their interaction from a corner. A smiling shadow that seemed close to losing its smile at seeing and hearing how Niffty and Emily had been going through as of late.
If things didn't change soon... it would be too late to fix this.
