A mysterious box sent thirty years ago to his cousin raises questions and stirs the ghost never far behind, while two men resurrect the horrors of his time in Persia, and an acquaintance from long ago unexpectedly returns.

Christine Daaé is a talented, brainy (and somewhat oblivious) junior in high school. In her diary, she chronicles, among other things, her relationship with Raoul, and the mood swings of her strange music theory teacher, Mr. Destler.

"Masquerade paper faces on parade… Masquerade hide your face So the world will never find you." He smiled, placing his left hand over the monkey's face. He turned slightly as he heard the sound of her skirts rustling closer towards him. Erik grinned, at his Angel of Music standing before him.

Christine continues her life with two children in tow, as her husband is called away for mysterious reasons. His past, however, has a way of crawling back into both of their lives. A story of a couple conquering their fears: separated and united.

After eight months of being separated from her Angel, Christine calls into the night for him once again.

An alternate ending to Anathema. The gunshot changed the course of her life forever. Now Christine must learn how to survive all over again, this time alone.

To save Erik from the mob, Christine has him escape with her and Raoul. But what was meant to be one last act of compassion leads to more, and soon all three find themselves on the run - together. Can former enemies learn to trust? Can fear turn to love? And who is the stranger hunting them, who seems to know all of the Phantom's deadliest tricks? (R/C at first, eventual E/C/R).
