In this alternate version of the story, Shadows of the Persian Court, I'm excited to explore a clearer and more rich redemption story for Erik while avoiding plot predictability. As I update both versions, my focus is particularly drawn to version two, A Path, where I feel inspired to expand on intriguing storylines and delve deeper into the complexities of the characters.

This story follows Erik and Amelia, a physician's ward, as they navigate the treacherous Persian court. Amidst political intrigue and personal vendettas, their bond deepens. Despite Erik's dark deeds and stoic exterior, Amelia's courage and wit may be the key to their survival and redemption. Idea stemmed from Kay's mention of French physicians in Persia. Alters future PotO events.

For those who enjoyed "Her Virtue"... this is the sequel. Time to check up on our lovers, yes? Erik and Christine have finally found peace. Nestled in a leafy pocket of London, they are still very much attracted to each other. They have the best life. They can still thrill each other in bed! But as storm clouds gather, Christine wonders... is it all going to last?

Erik finds a pug puppy he adopts. This little ball of velvet fur turns his life upside down immediately. I just wanted to write something funny and fluffy. Based mostly on Leroux and a bit Kay.
