Harry's Pov
"Yes, you do, but since you don't sleep you'll have plenty of time to do so." Sirius responded
"And the sooner you start, the sooner you'll catch up, so get started cub." Remus said, pointing up the stairs
"Seriously?" Remus nodded "Fine." Sirius chuckled
"Come on, Pup, I'll show you to your room, besides considering you start school the day after tomorrow, best to get a head start." I sighed and followed Sirius up the stairs, down a hallway and to a door that was second on the left "This is your room pup, we know you don't sleep anymore, but there is a bed there, if you want to use it its fine, if you don't, we'll get rid of it for you, and-"
"Siri, it doesn't matter what you've set up for me, I'll love it no matter what, you've already done more for me than the Dursley's every did, I love you conditionally Siri, even if you painted my room pink, I'd still love you."
"You mean you don't like pink?" he smirked
"Siri, I don't care what colour you painted my room, though bear in mind I might use magic to change it to my own preference." He chuckled
"Well, why don't you take a look and see then." I rolled my eyes and opened the door to my room.
The walls were painted in an emerald green with Black outlines of trees across the room, there was also an outline of a doe and a stag peering out between the trees. There was a bed in the top left-hand corner, it was a double bed with Black silk sheets, across the left-hand wall was a book case full of books and music. A sofa was set out in front of the book case, and a desk to the left of the room as soon as you walk in the room, with a brand-new laptop on the top of the desk.
"Siri, I love it."
"I thought you might, and I couldn't haven you move into a new room without your mum and dad near." Siri said pointing at the stag and the doe.
"Thank you, Siri, I love it." He pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back
"I'm glad Pup." He then pulled out of the hug "Now all the books you need are on your book case, spend as long at you need to catch up."
"I'll see you in three weeks then, if you could supply me with a constant supply of animal blood that would be great."
"Very funny Cub." Siri said as he turned to walk back down the stairs
"I was being serious." I huffed and walked further into the room and shut the door. I walked over to the book case and pulled out all the books I would need and moved to sit at my desk with the large pile of books "Thank Merlin for photographic memory."
-Two Days Later-
The day to start school, joy. I rolled off the bed and head into the en-suite bathroom, I grab a quick shower and walk into the room with a towel wrapped around my waist and head to my wardrobe and pulled out a pair of Black skinny jeans and slip them on, removing the towel from around my waist I set it down on the floor. Suddenly I heard a 'Pop' I spun around quickly and saw Teddy safely on my bed, looking up at the ceiling. I chuckle and make my way over to the bed and peer down at him, he smiles up at me and laughs as his hair changes colour to match mine
"Hey Teddy-Bear, whatcha doing?" he giggled and made grabby hands at me
"'Arry! 'Arry!" I chuckled and lifted him into my arms, suddenly I heard Remus panicked voice from downstairs, looking for Teddy, I sighed
"Are you scaring your daddy again?"
"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" I huffed and made my way downstairs
"He's not in his crib Sirius!" Remus yelled
"Remy calm down, I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation." Siri responded trying to calm Remy down, as I entered the kitchen
"Such as apperating into my room?" Remy turned to face me, his face full of relief
"Teddy!" Remy said
"Daddy! Daddy!" Teddy squealed reaching out to him, Remus took him from me and held him close
"He apparated into your room?" Siri asked, I shrugged
"Yep, and he landed on my bed."
"You had me so worried cub." Remus whispered into his hair
"And on that note, I'm going to finish getting dressed." I dashed back upstairs to my room, I pulled on a black vest top and an emerald green shirt and dashed back down to the kitchen and caught the blood pop that was thrown in my direction by Sirius "Thanks."
"Well, you haven't hunted since you arrived here, so you needed something to put you on until tonight, when you will go out to feed." Sirius ordered as he continued to make breakfast
"You know, I miss being able to eat human food, I would have loved to eat your breakfasts Siri." He gave me a sad look
"I know pup, if there was a way for me to make it so you could still eat human food, you know I would pup."
"I know you would Siri, where's Remus? I wanted to say goodbye before heading to school."
"You're driving right?" I frowned
"What do you mean driving? I don't have a car." He gave me a shocked look
"You don't? You best come with me then." He grinned and turned the frying pan off, pushing it to the back of the hobs, before walking over to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders and led me towards the garage that was attached to the house
"Siri, please tell me you didn't buy me a car." He chuckled and opened the door to the garage, and walked inside, I sighed and followed him inside to see him stood there, his arm wrapped around Remus waist, Remus who was holding Teddy, both were grinning like mad, next to an emerald green, almost Black Volvo XC60
"So, do you like it?" Remus asked, I grinned
"I love it, but you guys didn't have to do that for me." Sirius shrugged
"Call it a start of all the years of birthday presents we missed." Siri said
"Don't forget Christmas presents too." Remus commented bouncing Teddy in his arms
"Guys, I told you before I didn't want you to do that, I'm just grateful to be here with you both and Teddy too of course." They both smiled
"We're getting old, call it a lapse in memory." Remus responded
"Now, you best get moving, otherwise you'll be late." Sirius said and tossed the keys for the car in my direction, I caught them and walked to the driver's side "Your bag is already in there."
"Thanks guys, I'll see you tonight." They both nod as I climb into the driver's side and start up the car, they move to the side as the garage door opens and I pull out of the garage and onto the main road "Now to get to school."
I drive steadily along the roads to the school, when suddenly a silver Volvo sped past me "I'm pretty sure that's beyond the speed limit." I huff and keep driving, finally pulling into the parking lot of Forks High School, and into an empty space. I sighed, firmly placing my shields in place, a mask of no emotion on my face, I grab my bag and climb out of my car, lock it and magically shield it as I head up to the school office.
I listen to the whispers from the students as I enter the building, and walked straight into the office
"Can I help you dear?" The lady behind the desk asked, I give her a charming smile
"My name is Hadrian Black, I start today, I need my timetable and map." She smiled
"Oh yes, here you go dear, you timetable, map of the school and this sip you'll need to get all your teachers to sign and hand it back in here at the end of the day."
"Of course, have a good day ma'am." She blushed slightly, and I left the office. I smirked and looked down at my timetable, English, Biology, Math, Lunch, Music, P.E "What an interesting day." I glanced at the map and made my way to the block were my English lesson was. I walked into the classroom and greeted the teacher "Good Morning, sir, is this English Class B?" the teacher looked over at me
"It is, and just who might you be?" he asked
"I'm Hadrian Black, I just moved over here from England."
"Ah yes, we were told you were starting today, you'll be sitting at the back with Rosalie Hale, I assume you have the slip from the office?"
"I do, here you go." I pulled the slip from my pile of papers and handed him the slip he needed to sign
"Thank you, I'm Mr Wright." He signed the slip and handed it back to me "Here you go, and here's the book we're working on, Act 2 Scene 3." Mr Wright said handing me a copy of King Lear
"Thank you." I accepted the book and went and took my seat that he directed me to at the back of the room. I sat down and pulled out my notebook and pen and started to read through the first scene to catch up whilst I waited for the bell to go and the lesson to start.
-20 minutes later -
Finally, the bell rung, and I was part way through Act 2 Scene 3 when students started piling into the room, and a shadow fell over me, I glanced up and saw a beautiful blonde stood next to me, frowning
"Who are you?" she asked snobbishly, I mentally groaned 'Another Draco?'
"I'm Hadrian Black, just moved."
"I didn't ask for your life story, why are you sat at my desk?" she snarled, I rolled my eyes
"Look if you're Rosalie Hale, then Mr Wright sat me here, so you'll have to grin and bare it." She glared at me but took a seat next to me, glaring a hole in the side of my head. 'This is going to be a long hour'
"Right Class, today we'll be working through Act 2 Scene 3, I'm sure you've all taken some notes down, Mr Black you can take notes as we go through the scene." Mr Wright addresses the class and me, I nod to him and he continues the lesson
- 1 hour later-
I saw the lesson was soon to finish, by glancing at the clock and gathered my stuff so as soon as the bell rang I was out of my seat and heading to the door, followed by the other students that were packing up, I heard Mr Wright call out for notes on Act 2 Scene 5 for next lesson. I huffed and pulled out a blood pop, shoving it into my mouth, Miss Hales glaring was wearing on my last nerve. I glanced at my timetable and saw I had biology, I glanced at the map and headed towards my next lesson.
I navigated my way through the hallways, avoiding all contact with the other students, while I looked at the map. I finally reached the classroom, but I was still one of the first in the room, there were two other students there, a male and a female, both arguing with the teacher
"I refuse to sit next to her anymore." The male demanded
"Alright Edward, we'll sort something out." The teacher responded
"But sir, you said at the beginning of the year, who we sat with, would be out partners until the end of the year." The female demanded
"Bella, it's clear that something has happened between the two of you, and if I keep sitting you two together, Edward could either kill you or kill me, so please take your things and move to the back of the classroom." She growled and grabbed her things off a nearby table and stormed to the back of the room, throwing her stuff on a table. I knocked on the door, making all three look at me from their respecting places
"Yes, can I help you?" the teacher asked, I stepped into the room
"I just wanted to make sure I was in the right room."
"You're name?"
"Hadrian Black, I just started today."
"Of course, yes, you're in the right room, do you have your slip?" the teacher asked, I nod and walked over to his desk handing him the slip, he quickly signed it and handed it back to me "You'll be sitting next to Edward, the young man sat at the table already." I nod and turn to see the male already sat down, staring at me, I frown and move to sit down next to him. I pulled out my notebook as the teacher came and set two books in front of me "These are the books we'll be working from, you'll be a little bit behind, but as long as you read up at home, you'll catch up in no time, but in the meantime, Edward will be able to point out where we are in the books." I nod
"Okay, thank you." The teacher smiled and turned to walk back to his desk, as other students started to filter through the door
"Page 372." A voice spoke up from next to me, I turned to look at him and raised an eye brow, he pointed to the larger book "The page we're working on, page 372." I nod
"Thank you." I opened the large book to page 372
"That accent, British, if I'm not mistaken." I looked at him again, an amused smile on his lips
"Yes."
"Have you been in Forks long?"
"Is this twenty questions?"
"Do you want it to be?"
"Not particularly." He chuckled, and I rolled my eyes, turning back to look at the book, I opened my note book and pulled out a pen, suddenly I felt a probe at my mental barriers, my head snapped up and I glanced around the room, quickly filling up with students
"Is something wrong?" I turned back to face Edward, his golden eyes holding hints of worry, I felt the probe at my mental barriers again, my eyes narrowed, and I took a deep breath in, turning to face the front, Vampire, great, I had to come to a town with its very own nest of vampires
"I'm fine, I thought I heard something." Out the corner of my eye, I saw him go to say something, but the teacher quickly started the lesson.
As the lesson neared its end, I gathered my stuff together and stood as the bell rang, intending to get out of that room as quickly as possible. I got into the hallway and heading left towards the maths block
"Wait." I heard Edward call out, I kept moving intending to keep my distance until the end of the day, but he quickly caught up with me, no surprise for a vampire after all, "Hold on a second, what's the hurry?" he asked
