Hadrian's / Harry's Pov

"First day, want to get to my next lesson." He chuckled

"Don't worry, you'll get there on time, you're heading towards the maths block, right? Let me walk you."

"Edward!" I heard the female from before shouted

"Please, let me walk you?" Edward begged, I sighed

"Alright." He grinned and took a gentle hold of my elbow and guided me in the direction I had just been walking, him not reacting to my freezing cold temperature, other than a small smirk

"So, you come from England, how are you liking it here so far?" he asked me, as he guided me round the students

"It's not so different actually, but it's a nice change all round." We slowed down a bit as the students began to thin out

"I'm Edward Cullen."

"Hadrian Black."

"Pleasure."

"Why are you walking me to my maths class, minus avoiding that girl?"

"I switched my time table around a bit, so we weren't in so many classes anymore, so I have maths now too, the only one I couldn't switch was Biology, but, I'm kinda glad I couldn't now."

"You can let go of my elbow now." He looked down and let go of my elbow and we carried on walking into the class room, we were the last ones there

"Mister Cullen, you have just switched to this class, expect you to be on time." The teacher demanded

"I apologise Mr Rudy, I was showing Hadrian Black the way here, today is his first day, he got a little bit lost." Edward lied flawlessly, I internally growled

"Ah, right then, Mister Black, do you have your slip?" I nod and pull the slip out of my pocket to hand over to him, he quickly signs it and hands it back to me "The Pair of you can have the table at the back, now quickly sit down." Edward and I move to the empty table at the back of the room.

I pulled out another notebook and a pen, when a maths book was set in front of me, I glanced at Edward, who was too busy turning the book to the page we needed. I flipped open the notebook to a clean page and listened to the teacher as he began to teach, about half way through the lesson there was a gentle tap on my elbow and a small slip of paper was pushed towards my hand, I glanced at the teacher, he had his back turned towards us, I took the paper and glanced down at it

'Sit with me at lunch?' I looked over at Edward, who was smiling and gave me a sideways look, I shake my head and turn back to the lesson and continue to take notes, when another nudge to my elbow got me another slip of paper, I internally groaned, but took the slip and put it to one side, to wait until the teacher turned back around again. Once he did I took a quick look at the note

'Why not? I thought we were getting along great' I sighed and turned back to the lesson, I glanced at the clock and saw there was only ten minutes left, he could wait.

- Ten minutes later -

The bell rang, and the students began packing up their stuff

"Work through the questions of page 145, write your answers and full workout methods on a separate piece of paper, due in next lesson." Mr Rudy's voice rang out and several groans followed, I grinned and packed my stuff away

"Hadrian." Edward spoke from next to me, I turned to face him to see him stood next to the desk "Shall I show you the way to the lunch hall?" he asked me, I shrugged and swung my bag onto my shoulder. We left the classroom and headed back the way we had come before maths, in silence until he gentle touched my elbow "So, you want to explain to me why you don't want to sit with me at lunch?"

"It's not that I don't want to, I'd just rather sit by myself that's all."

"Would you be opposed to some company? My family are a bit upset with me today, I'd rather not sit with them."

"I wouldn't be opposed as long as you don't draw too much attention to me." He chuckled

"It's going to be a little bit late for that."

"What makes you say that?"

"My family are a bit exclusive, we don't normally talk to other students, especially new students, so the rumour mill is going to be buzzing and false theories and stories are going to be flying around by the end of the day." I groaned

"That was exactly what I didn't want."

"Sorry." He didn't seem very sorry at all, not if that massive smirk on his face said anything

"No, you're not."

"No, I'm not, it'll be quite amusing what they actually come up with, but I'm hoping you'll tell me the real story." I gave him a funny look

"What real story?"

"Of why you moved here, that's what they will be focusing on, are you adopted, were you sent here after being kicked out of boarding school." I took a quick unneeded breath; how very close he was with that assumption "Or maybe you just moved here to be with family." He pushed open the door to the cafeteria, and held it open for me, I rolled my eyes and stepped into the room, that suddenly went silent as I walked into the room, Edward just steps behind me

"This is exactly what I didn't want, I hate gossip." I heard Edward chuckle as I moved towards an empty table, Edward joined me soon after

"Just a warning, I don't think we'll be at this table on our own for long." I groaned

"Can't you take your presence elsewhere then? I'm sure you're the reason that the table is about to be surrounded, by people I don't want to talk to." He held his hands up in a surrender pose as the table suddenly became surrounded by students holding trays

"Can we sit here?"

"Um no."

"Thanks." Then they all sat down around us, and Edward chuckled beside me, I shot him a glare

"So, tell us all the details." A girl said leaning forward, trying to show of her breasts, I frowned

"A, I don't know you-"

"Oh, I'm Jessica-"

"I don't care, also don't interrupt me while I'm talking, I hate being interrupted, B, it's my first day, I don't want to tell you my life story and C- "Suddenly my phone began ringing "I'm going to take this call and finish my lunch outside." I stood from the table and made my way outside, pulling my phone out as I went into the parking lot and stood leaning against my car, I saw it was Siri ringing, I answered

"Hey Siri."

"Hey Pup, how's it going?"

"Alright I think, I've made a friend." I caught sight of Edward making his way towards me

"That's good, anything else?"

"The rumour mill it flying high."

"Oh pup, you have to realise though, it happens to everyone."

"I know, doesn't make it any better you know?"

"I know, but you've only got two hours or so left of school, then you can come home."

"I know, I'll see you soon Siri."

"See you soon Pup." I hung up the phone and looked at Edward who looked slightly apologetic

"I am sorry this time."

"Really?" he nodded and held up an apple

"Peace offering?" I sighed and took the apple

"Thanks, so what damage did I leave behind me?" He chuckled

"Jessica, the girl who demanded answers from you, squawked and the stood and left the table her entourage followed shortly after, so you're not in favour with that crowd."

"That's fine, I'm not here to make friends with gossipers." He chuckled

"But, will you be friends with me?"

"I don't know, you seem to be getting me into a lot of situations I don't want to be in."

"Honestly, I don't mean to honest, I'm just simply fascinated by you, I'm leading you down a road that I can't control." I laughed

"Sure you are." He grinned and then pointed back towards the school

"Do you want to go back inside?" I shook my head

"I'd rather stay outside, sit with me?" he nodded, and we moved over to a bench to sit down and talk

-End of the Day-

I left the school and headed out to my car, I magically unlocked it, but made a show of unlocking the door with my key. I opened the door and threw my bag into the passenger seat, but as I was about to climb into the driver's seat there was a tap on my shoulder, I turned and saw Edward stood there, with two females and two males.

"Good last period?" he asked me, I shrugged

"It wasn't too bad, you?" he shrugged

"It was alright, I want you to meet my family."

"You mean the family that wasn't happy with you?" he nodded

"You might already know Rosalie, you two have English together." Edward said, gesturing to the blonde female, I looked and nodded

"Yeah, I know you." She sniffed and turned her nose up at me, 'Makes me miss Draco a bit.'

"This is Alice Cullen, my sister, her partner and my brother Jasper Hale, his sister Rosalie Hale and her Partner and my brother Emmett Cullen."

"Nice to meet you all, I don't mean to be rude, but I really do need to get home." Edward nodded

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow then." I nod and climb into my car, buckle in, turn on the engine and pull out of the parking lot, and onto the road, driving home, it wasn't long before a silver Volvo shot past me, driving at speeds that weren't legal.

I pulled into the garage to my home not long after and shut off the engine, I climb out of the car and lock it, before shutting the garage door, I then walk into the house with my bag, that I'd pulled from the passenger seat and dropped the bag at the bottom of the stairs intending to take it up when I went upstairs

"Anyone home?"

"In the kitchen pup!" I heard Siri call, I walked into the kitchen and saw Siri at the stove, Teddy was sat in his high chair snacking on some fruit, Siri glanced over at I walked into the kitchen "Hey Pup, good first day?" I shrugged and perched on a chair at the island

"It wasn't too bad, I made a friend and I made some enemy's too." He chuckled

"Only you pup."

"Where's Remus?" Siri shut off the stove and turned to face me

"He nipped into town, to pick up some food, we were running a bit low of stuff." I nod

"What were you cooking?"

"Just some food for Teddy, you want a Blood Pop? Or are you going to go hunt tonight?"

"I'll have a Blood Pop for now but hunt later on." He nodded and turned to opened one of the cupboards, he pulled out a Blood Pop and threw it to me over his shoulder, I caught it and stuck it in my mouth. "You two got any plans for tonight?" Siri shrugged and turned back to prep Teddy's food

"Nothing much, put Teddy down to sleep and maybe watch a movie, you got any homework to do?"

"Yeah, but I can do it tonight, I don't sleep after all."
