Hadrian's Pov

I heard their bedroom door open and shut, soon after I heard their shower turn on, I sighed and turned to look back at Teddy, so was trying to scoop the last bits of egg onto his fork.

"Hey Teddy-Bear, do you want some help?" he looked at me and held out his fork to me

"Egg." I smiled and took his fork from his hand and scooped up the last bit of egg and held the fork in front of his mouth, Teddy opened his mouth with an "Ahhh." I smiled and guided the fork into his mouth, which he then snapped shut around the fork, I gently guided the fork back out of his mouth so that he could finish the last bit of food off. I then stood from my seat and picked up his plate from his tray and turned to place them in the sink to wash up later, I then turned back around to face Teddy, who had his hands reached out toward his plush that was sat on the table.

Teddy then whined a little bit, I started to walk forward to pass it to him when it began to float up from the table, and over to Teddy's waiting hands, I stared in awe at the display of magic that Teddy had just done

"Arry, Arry, Grr, Grr." Teddy chanted, I looked at him

"Yes Teddy, you've got grr, shall we get you dressed?" he smiled at me and shook the plush at me

"Grr, grr." I sighed and shook my head with a grin, before moving over to the high chair. I removed the tray and set it onto the table, I then unfastened Teddy and lifted him out of the high chair and into my arms

"Come on Teddy-Bear, lets got get you cleaned and dressed." I carried him up stairs to his room, while he was babbling away to his plush. I entered his room and shut his door, I then sat him on the changing mat that was on top of his draws, he then whined and held his hand out towards his cot

"Og, og." I glanced behind me and saw the grim dog in his cot

"Do you want dog?" he looked at me and grinned

"Yeh, yeh."

"Alright then, you need to lay really still while I get him okay?" he nodded and looked at the panther plush. I waved my hand to set up a mini barrier around him, just in case, then I turned to grab the dog plush before turning back to Teddy, who was still laid looked at his panther plush, I moved back over and brought down the barrier to hand the dog plush to Teddy who grinned and took it, before bopping the two plushes noses together, I smiled and quickly changed his nappy, before pulling out a clean vest, long sleeved top, trousers and socks out of the drawers underneath the changing mat. I managed to get him changed into his clean clothes without much fuss, he fussed a little when he hand to put the plushes down, so I could get his vest and top on, but once he was dressed he was happily bopping the plushes noses together again. I grinned and picked him up, gathering him and both plushes, plus the wold plush into my arms, I collected his dirty clothes and brought him back downstairs.

The first stop was to put his dirty washing into the hamper, then I brought him into the living room, I set him down into the play pen in the middle of the room, with all three plushes along with all the rest of his toys, I sat down on the floor, to watch him play and my mind drifted back to the reason why Remus was so scared.

Flashback

3rd Person Pov

Tonks had just been killed by a Death Eater, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, Remus mourned the loss of the mother of his child, he was staying at Grimmauld Place with Sirius. Remus was looking after Teddy for the day, while Tonks went to Diagon- Alley to pick up some bits, Remus was stood rocking Teddy to sleep in the middle of the of the living room, while Sirius was sat on the sofa watching him fondly.

Kingsley flooed through to the living room, with a grave look on his face, Sirius got to his feet and stood next to Remus, who had stopped rocking Teddy to turn and face Kingsley

"What's wrong?" Sirius asked, Kingsley sighed

"I'm so sorry Remus." Kingsley responded

"What?" Remus asked

"Tonks, there was an attack in Diagon-Alley, she was helping people get to safety, she got caught by a stray curse, I'm so sorry she died protecting a small child from that curse." Kingsley explained, Remus face dropped, and he looked down at Teddy, who was fast asleep, hair as pink as mothers was.

"Moons, I'm so sorry buddy." Sirius said placing a gentle hand on Remus shoulder and squeezed

"What am I going to do about Teddy, the ministry won't let me keep him, not with me being a werewolf." Remus asked panicked

"Look, I wouldn't panic about anything now, you're his father, but Sirius I'd have your lawyers on standby, we all know Tonks mother wasn't pleased about her sleeping with Remus." Kingsley advised, Sirius nodded

"I'll get on to them straight away, see if the Black name can have some sway on this decision." Sirius responded, Kingsley nodded, and then turned to floo out of Grimmauld Place. Remus then turned to Sirius

"Do you think I'll be able to keep Teddy?" Remus asked him, Sirius gave him a stern look

"Remus, I swear to you, I will do everything in my power to make sure you keep your baby, I will use all the power that the Black name hold alright? I'm gonna go write to my lawyers and the goblins alright?" Sirius responded, Remus nodded and sank down to sit on the sofa as Sirius dashed out of the living room.

-Two Days Later—

Sirius and Remus were sat in the Kitchen in Grimmauld Place, Remus was feeding Teddy a bottle of warm milk, when Harry walked in yawning, with an owl perched on his shoulder

"Pup, you know that's not Hedwig, right?" Sirius asked Harry, who nodded and sat at the table

"It kept pecking at my window, but the letter's not for me." Harry responded as the owl hopped onto the table and hopped over to Remus, who frowned

"Siri, could you grab the letter? I don't want to stop feeding Teddy, I don't want him to cry." Remus commented, the owl the hopped over to Sirius who took the letter. The owl once relieved of it burden took flight and flew out of the room and out of the house

"What is it Siri?" Harry asked before taking a bite from a slice of toast

"Something we were expecting, Remus, Andromeda is suing for custody of Theodore Remus Lupin." Sirius responded, Remus just sighed and looked down at Teddy who had just finished his bottle of milk and smiled up Remus

"What? Can she actually do that?" Harry demanded

"Well, she is Teddy's grandmother, so she does have right, but we've been preparing for this, I'll owl my lawyers and the goblins, they'll get things rolling and hopefully we won't have to appear in court just yet." Sirius responded, before standing and leaving the table and the kitchen

"They won't take Teddy away from you Remus." Harry said, looking confident, Remus just gave him a sad smile

"Thanks for your confidence cub, I'm afraid I don't have much of my own." Remus responded with a sigh

-Three Days later-

"Right, time to call this case to order, even though I think it is absolutely pointless for this to be brought to court, but I get paid for being here." The judge behind the desk said, the lawyer that stood beside Andromeda stood

"Your honour, my client had recently lost her daughter and her husband, all she wants is full custody of her grandson, and to keep him out of harms way." Then the Lawyer at back down, Remus's lawyer then stood.

"Your honour, Mrs Tonks is trying to take a father away from his son, Remus Lupin loves his son with al his very being, yes, he may be a werewolf, but he has never one put his son in harms way, he lost the mother of his child and he has an excellent support system what does Mrs Tonks have?" Remus lawyer asked before sitting back down, in the seat behind Remus, Sirius who was holding a sleeping Teddy, smirked, Harry who was sat next to him, rolled his eyes at his godfather

The case went back and forth for the next two hours, each side present evidence against and for custody, each party each came up to the stand to say why they each wanted to keep Teddy.

"I want Teddy in my care, not only because his father is a werewolf, but I can keep Teddy from becoming just like his father." Mrs Tonks insisted, the judge looked at her with a raised eyebrow

"And how to you intend to do that?" the judge asked

"Teddy has my daughters blood in his veins, and I can amplify his metamophmagus with my own blood." Mrs Tonks boasted, the judge raised an eyebrow

"You do realise that any form of Blood changing or enhancing potion is illegal right?" The judge asked and waited patiently for her answer

"Of course, I do." She responded

"Then how were you planning on amplifying young Theodore's metamophmagus abilities?" the judge responded

"I, well, I-" she stuttered, the judge sighed

"I've heard enough, step down from the stand please." The judge ordered, Mrs Tonks growled quietly and stepped down, walking back to her seat. The judge looked up and over at Remus, who had his back turned to the judge, as he was entertaining Teddy, making him laugh, the laughter filled the court room, making the judge and the rooms occupants smile slightly at the interaction. The reason Remus turned around in the first place, was because Teddy was fussing about being in a strange place at the time he was waking up, and Sirius nor Harry was doing anything to settle him, so Remus turned to give his son the attention that he needed, it didn't matter to him that he was in the middle of a court room. "Mr Lupin?" the Judge called, Remus turned around but left his arm over the barrier so that Teddy could grab hold of his fingers

"Yes?"

"Would you come up to the stand please?" the judge asked, Remus nodded, and stood, but then turned to bend down to Teddy, to whisper to him

"I'll be right back Teddy-Bear, Padfoot and Uncle Harry will look after you." Remus whispered and took his fingers from Teddy's grasp, that were immediately replaced by Harry, who nodded at Remus, who smiled back at Harry before turning and heading towards the stand. Once he was there he sat in the provided chair

"Mr Lupin, why do you want to keep your son?" the judge asked

"Because he's my son, I care about his wellbeing, he lost his mother, but he doesn't know that, but I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure he knows his mother, knows his family." Remus responded

"Alright, your lawyer said you had a good support system, could you elaborate a little?" the judge asked, Remus nodded

"I have the help of Sirius Black, we've been through all of school together, plus we've been living together for a while now." Remus responded, the judge nodded

"Anyone else?"

"My godson-"

"You don't have a godson! You're werewolf status wont allow it!" Mrs Tonks yelled, the judge glared

"You've had your turn to talk, now be quiet, please continue Mr Lupin." The Judge said, Remus nodded

"MY godson, Harry Potter, his parents named both me and Sirius as Harry's godparents, also Tonks and I named Harry Godfather to Teddy, we both saw how good he was with Teddy, Harry would do anything for my baby." The judge nodded

"Now your status as a werewolf, has this had any effect on Teddy at all?" the judge asked, Remus shook his head

"Since Teddy was born, there have been two full moons, while I have been transformed, Harry and Sirius have watched over him, while he has metamophmagus abilities, he loves to show off with them, he has showed no signs of lycanthropy." The judge nodded

"I understand that Theodore, Teddy is of Black blood?" the judge asked, Remus nodded "And Godson to the Potter line?" Remus nodded again "Alright, you may step down." As Remus stepped down from the stand, Teddy began to cry realising that his father was no-where in view, while Mrs Tonks rose to her feet to head over, Remus bolted over and immediately took Teddy into his arms, when Sirius rose from his seat to hand him over, Teddy looked startled at being moved and looked up at Remus with tears in his eyes and sniffled

"Hey Teddy-Bear, what's all that noise for huh?" Remus asked him quietly, rocking him gently, before he sat back down with Teddy in his arms, the judge looked on smiling slightly

"I've made a decision, while Mrs Tonks had, somewhat good intentions, I'm ruling Theodore Remus Lupin, remain in the custody of his father, he has a good support system, and funds to protect and care for his child…Case Closed." The Judge ruled banging his gavel down, before standing and leaving the room, that's when all hell broke loose, well at least on Mrs Tonks side, she shot up from her seat and stormed over, her lawyer trailing behind trying to stop her, she stopped in front of Remus, opposite him

"You think you've won? Teddy is my blood! My family!" Mrs Tonks yelled

"Mrs Tonks please here is not the place." Her lawyer said placing a hand on her shoulder

"Andromeda, Teddy is of Black Blood, therefore he has the protection of the house of Black." Sirius stated, standing up straight behind Remus, that statement only made her face grow red

"I'm am of Black Blood! He got that from me!" She hissed, Harry then stood up next to his Godfather

"Teddy is under the protection of the House of Potter, so I say it so mote it be." Harry hissed back, but magic surrounding the group lit up in multicolours, and formed a line, from Harrys chest which then drew down to Teddy and wrapping around him, then the crest of the Potter house flashed above Teddy's chest. Mrs Tonks grew furious

"How dare you! You think you can keep him away from me, my grandson!" Mrs Tonks yelled, Harry glared

"I am doing my right as a Godfather and protecting my godson from people who I see will cause him harm." Harry growled back at her, Mrs Tonks glared before focusing on Remus, who had risen to his feet

"Mrs Tonks, I was going to allow you visitation, but supervised, because after what you said you wanted to do to him, wouldn't trust you have him on your own." Remus stated, Mrs Tonks hissed

"Wherever you're hiding, I will find you and I will have my grandson, I don't need the courts to claim custody, I will track you down, I will take my grandson, I will subdue you and make sure you or your support system will ever be able to find him, and no-one will help you find him, that is my warning to you Lupin, in the end I will get my grandson and there is nothing you can do about it." Mrs Tonks declared, before storming off out of the court room. And the little family felt the weight of the words fall onto their shoulders, it terrified Remus, he clung to Teddy like a lifeline, holding him close to his chest, Sirius was concerned for Remus, he reached forward to place a hand on Remus's shoulder, while Harry was angry, angry that Mrs Tonks thought that she could threaten them, and started to think of ways and ideas to protect Remus and Teddy.

-Three Days Later-

Harry had returned to school, and it had been quiet in the Grimmauld Place, Remus going through the motions of Looking after Teddy, not really saying anything to anyone but Teddy, Sirius was concerned, watching from a distance, until today. Remus had just put Teddy down for his nap, he then walked into the kitchen where Sirius was sat eating some lunch and looking through the paper

"I need to leave." Remus stated, the comment made Sirius's head snap up to look at him

"What?"

"I need to take Teddy and I need to leave hide, go somewhere where she can't find me or Teddy."

"So, you think running away is the answer? Remus she can't get here she's no longer of the Black family, she got stripped from the family line, she cannot get to this house, its hidden from her, Both Teddy and you are safe here."

"But what about when I go out with Teddy? When I take him for days out, or to see Harry at Hogwarts? She could go after me then, she could try and get Teddy, I have to take him somewhere to hide, somewhere I can keep him safe myself, I can't keep relying on you Siri, I need to do this for myself." Remus slumped down onto a chair at the table, Sirius sighed before standing from his seat at the head of the table to move around and sit down on the bench next to Remus

"You know how I feel about you Remus, Heck even Harry knows how I feel about you, I love Teddy, he's my family and I will do anything for him, anything for you, but the one thing I will not do, is let you do this on your own, we will do this together, as a team because I know you're not ready for another relationship just yet." Sirius said, making Remus sigh

"Siri-"

"It's fine Remus, I know you're not ready, and I'll wait, for now we need to decide what to do, do you really want to leave London? I have properties all over the world we can go to any one of them."

"Siri, I can't ask you to do that, I don't want you to leave Harry on his own, not with a war close approaching." Sirius sighed and shook his head

"Harry is a big boy, plus he' well prepared for this war, especially with what we've both been teaching him, plus I'm not leaving him, we will be telling him and only him where we are going, so that he can come to us for a safe haven or when the war is over." Remus sighed

They then spent the next hour deliberating over properties and the countries they were in, they finally decided on America, Seattle, Forks Washington. Sirius then wrote a letter to the goblins to ask for that manor to be set up, with everything they might need before they move over. Once they received word from the goblins that the manor was pretty much set up and ready for their arrival, Sirius wrote a letter to Harry, while Remus packed up their belongings, intending to move across to the new manor the next morning, when Harry received the letter they would be already gone.

-The Next Day-

Harry was sat eating breakfast with Neville when Hedwig swooped in and landed in front of him on the table

"Hey girl, you got something for me?" Harry asked, Hedwig nodded and held out of her leg, Harry untied the letter, fed Hedwig a piece of bacon and then she took off flying again, back out the window

"Who's it from Harry?" Neville asked, Harry glanced at the front of the letter and immediately recognised Sirius's writing

"It's from Sirius." Harry then opened the letter and began reading

Hey Pup,

By the time you get this, Remus, Teddy and I will have already left Grimmauld place, I know that will be a shock to you, but Remus felt it best.

And you know how he's been the last few days, he came into me yesterday and told me he needed to take Teddy and leave, I told him under no circumstances would he be going alone and that you would understand why.

The place to where we've gone will be for your eyes only, it is hidden with the Marauders password, you know which one, and you also know the reason why it is such a secret.

I'm sorry we didn't say goodbye to you in person, but Remus wanted to go as soon as possible, I'm sure he'll be in touch soon to apologise too, we'll keep in touch with letters and we have our part of the two-way mirror, the other part is in your room at Grimmauld place, I don't know why you left it behind, but you did, and you can collect it soon.

Please let us know when things get too bad, we'll minimize contact to the two-way mirror only.

"What does he say?"

"He's moved, keeping Teddy and Remus safe, wishes me luck." Harry responded to Neville, who nodded

"I understand that."

Later that night, while everyone else was asleep in the dorm room, Harry was sat up on his bed with the tip of his wand lit with Lumos pointed at the letter from Sirius

"I solemnly swear I am up to no good." Harry whispered, the words on the letter drained away to reveal an address Black Ancestral Home, Forks, Washington, United States of America. Harry took a long look at the address before whispering "Mischief Managed." The address disappeared, and the letter returned to its original state.

Flashback end

Hadrian's Pov

"Pup, you alright?" Sirius asked, placing a hand on my shoulder, I flinched slightly not hearing him come downstairs, I turned my head to look up to him

"Yeah, I uh, I didn't hear you come downstairs." He chuckled and sat down next to me on the floor to look at Teddy who was still happily playing with his plushes

"Yeah, you seem to be pretty far into your own head, what were you thinking about?"

"The court case, the threat Mrs Tonks made, and your guys move over here." Sirius sighed

"Yeah, this morning seems to have really shaken Remus." I sighed

"I should have left a note or something to let one of you know I had him."

"I think that would have panicked him more pup, I don't know how we are going to break him out of this." I shrugged

"Where is he now?"

"I managed to convince him to get some more sleep, told him that you and I would watch over Teddy all day and not let him out of our sights." I nodded

"Hey, do you have any of the Potter Ancestral Books?"

"What are you thinking?"

"Well, I put a magical protection on Teddy via old Potter Magic that you had been teaching me."

"Which Remus is very grateful for, so am I, if you hadn't have put that protection on him that day, I don't know what I would have done to Andromeda." I nodded

"Probably cursed her where she stood, anyway, I was thinking if I could add Potter family magic to the Black wards to strengthen them, do you think that would help settle Remus a little? Knowing that both the Black the Potter family magic is protecting the house." Sirius though for a moment, before nodding

"It might, I have some of the books upstairs in the study, we can have a look later on when Remus is awake." Sirius agreed, I nodded and we both turned back to watch Teddy.
