Hadrian's Pov
It was a few hours later that Remus emerged from upstairs, Teddy had fallen asleep in his play pen, cuddled up to his plushes. Sirius and I we sat on the floor looking through the Potter Ancestral books and a few of the Black Family Books as well.
I heard Remus come down the stairs, but didn't acknowledge him until he was ready himself.
"Hey guys, what are you doing?" Remus asked, I looked up from the page I was reading and looked over at him, he was hovering in the doorway
"We're looking into improving the Wards around the house, Teddy's asleep in his play pen." Remus glanced over and the pen and nodded before venturing further into the room
"Improving the Wards?" he asked
"Yeah, you were a bit upset earlier, Harry thought about adding Potter Family Magic to our Wards, to strengthen them." Sirius explained as Remus sat down next to him, Remus looked over in my direction
"You want to strengthen the wards? With Potter Magic?" I nodded
"I thought, it might make you feel a little bit more secure, I know you had a freight this morning when I got up with Teddy, and Sirius has been teaching me, I just want to make this place safe for us, for Teddy to grown up in." Remus smiled with a soft look on his face
"Cub, don't go exerting yourself, I appreciate the thought, but we are safe." Remus concluded, Sirius looked at him
"What?" Siri asked, Remus shrugged
"I had a think after I woke up, we've been here since before the war ended and after the war ended, she hasn't shown any signs on knowing where we are, plus the goblins are on high alert, they'll let us know if she heads this way… for now, I don't think we need the extra wards, these are Black Wards after all and we all know how paranoid the Blacks were." Remus explained, I chucked while Sirius grinned
"So, we can put these books away?" Sirius asked, Remus nodded with a smile and Sirius 'Whooped' and used magic to pick up all the books, then he disappeared upstairs carrying the books with him, I laughed, and Remus chuckled at his behaviour.
When we sobered up a few seconds later I looked over at Remus and saw him looking at Teddy in the Play pen, he was still sleeping despite the loud noise
"Are you okay Remus?" he looked at me and gave me a smiled
"Yeah cub, I know I seemed a bit shaken up this morning, but I'm better now, in future I'll know that you have him, or he's with you somewhere in the house." I nodded
"Besides, the Wards around this house actually require permission from the members of the house, to allow anyone in, like the other night, Edward was allowed to pass through the Wards."
"Because he was chasing you cub, and you can't deny that." I raised my hands in a universal surrender
"I won't deny that he was chasing me, it was fun, the thrill of the chase, but back on topic, because I wanted him to follow me the Wards allowed him access." Remus chuckled
"The 'thrill of the chase' cub? Do we need to give you the talk?" I groaned
"You're back to yourself." He chuckled again as Sirius came back into the room
"Did I miss something?" Siri asked perching on the edge of chair
"Nothing, Remus is threatening to give me 'The Talk'." Siri snickered
"You're the one telling me about your 'Thrills' Cub." Remus commented with a smirk
"With kind of 'Thrills' Pup?" Siri asked, I groaned
"You two are evil."
"No, we're Marauders." Remus responded
"The last remaining Marauders." Sirius corrected, I rolled my eyes
"I still Claim you're evil, both of you." They both chuckled and suddenly there was a knock on the back door
"Was that the back door?" Siri asked, I stood from my place on the floor
"I'll get it." I made my way to the back door and unlocked it, I then pulled it open to reveal Edward "Hi." He smiled at me
"I wasn't sure if you'd answer." He said, I grinned
"I just haven't been out for a run this morning." He stood there for a moment before saying
"I see you took my advice of not going to school." I raised an eyebrow, when Siri came to join me at the door
"Hello Edward, what bring you here?" Siri asked
"Hello Mr Black, I came to see if Hadrian would like to come for a walk with me?" Edward asked, I raised an eyebrow
"Walk or run?" Edward chuckled
"Either is fine by me." He responded, Siri chuckled
"Why don't you come in first? Teddy's just woken up." Siri commented placing a hand on my shoulder
"Is he asking for me?" Siri nodded and disappeared back towards the living room, I sighed and looked at Edward, who looked a bit confused "Come on in, I'll introduce you to my other Godfather and my Godson." He nodded, and I stepped back, opening the door wide enough for him to step in, I shut the door behind him
"Do I need to take my shoes off?" I shook my head
"Nah, you're fine." He nodded, and I led him through the kitchen to the living room, when he suddenly stopped in the entrance way "Is there a problem?"
"Do you have a wolf here?" I gave him a curious look
"A werewolf, yes, why?"
"I could just smell the faint traces of a wolf, there are some wolves up at the reservation, I thought one had been here." He explained
"Oh, your talking about the shifters, yeah, they're not werewolves, nowhere near being a Werewolf."
"You'll have to explain the difference between the two species one day… wait, you live with a werewolf?" He asked, I chuckled
"Come on, I'll introduce you." I led him into the living room, where I saw Remus sat on the floor playing with Teddy and his plushes, Siri was perched on the edge of the sofa watching them with a soft smile. When Remus cause sight of us standing in the doorway, he sat up and smirked at me, I rolled my eyes "Edward, I'd like to introduce you to my other Godfather Remus Lupin, Remus my mate Edward Cullen." Remus got to his feet and moved over to shake Edwards hand
"Pleasure to meet you." Edward greeted, Remus nodded
"Likewise, did you know that you put the thrill of the chase in Hadrian?" Remus asked him, Edward froze as he let go of Remus' hand, if I could have blushed, my face would have been beat red, I put my face into my hands and groaned. I heard Remus chuckle and Siri laughed. I snapped my head up to glare at Remus
"Evil!"
"No, Marauder." Remus countered
"That! That, was not a joke or a prank, that was plain evil, I will not be running with you on the next full moon, you evil person." Remus chuckled
"Oh Cub, relax, your parents aren't here to tease you or your mate, so it falls to us to do that in their place." Remus explained ruffling my hair
"Besides, James would have done the exact same thing pup." Siri commented from his now place on the floor with Teddy, I sighed and looked at Edward, who looked extremely uncomfortable
"I'm sorry, they're getting old and going Senile, would you like to meet Teddy?" He looked at me and visibly swallowed
"Sure." I smiled and led him over to Teddy who was sat playing quietly with his plushes, Sirius moved away and got to his feet
"We'll be in the kitchen pup." Siri said, I nodded, and he disappeared into the Kitchen with Remus. I sat down on the floor in front of Teddy, Edward sat down behind Teddy
"'Arry!" he reached up to me and made grabby hands at me, I smiled and lifted him into my lap
"Hey cub, I want you to meet someone." I turned him around in my lap to face Edward "This is Edward, he's my new friend, say hi." Teddy lent forward and waved
"Hi, Ed, Eddy." Teddy said and clapped his hands, Edward smiled
"It's nice to meet you Teddy." Edward greeted, Teddy clapped again before reaching down for his toys
"Grr down, grr down." I chuckled and set him back on the floor, he crawled over and began to play with his toys again
"Well, he seems to like you, that's a good thing." He nodded and glanced at Teddy before looking back at me
"What your Godfather said about the thrill of the chase, was that true?" I sighed
"My godfathers are jerks, or at least when they want to be they can be jerks, but he was telling the truth, I was trying to have a serious conversation with him earlier and told him that, I'm sorry he blurted that out to you." Edward chuckled
"It's alright, I wish you would have told me yourself mind you." He said, I chuckled
"Would you like a Blood Pop?" he frowned
"What's a Blood Pop?"
"Exactly what it sounds like, want to try one?" he shrugged, I stood and made my way to the kitchen, where Remus and Sirius were sat at the kitchen table each had a cup of tea. I moved to the cupboard and pulled out two blood pops and quickly made my way back to the living room, only to see Teddy showing his plushes to Edward, who was smiling down at him and making the animal noises, which was making Teddy laugh. I smiled at the sight and walked over to sit down with them.
