Hadrian's Pov
I moved back over to the pair and sat back on the floor, Teddy was still distracted by Edwards animal noises. I grinned and ruffled the little boy's hair, making him look up at me
"'Arry, Eddy Grr." Teddy said grinning madly
"I know." Teddy clapped and returned to play with his plushes, I looked at Edward "You're good with him." He shrugged
"I've not been around children much in my time, but he seemed to like the animal noises."
"Yeah, he likes his animals that's for sure."
"Daddy?" I looked down at Teddy, to see him looking around the room "Daddy, papa?" My eyes widened
"I'll be right back."
"Okay?" Edward responded wearily, I hurried to my feet and dashed into the kitchen
"Cub? Is everything alright?" Remus asked, rising from his seat
"You two may want to come into the living room."
"Why? What's wrong?" Siri asked
"Just come to the living room." I hurried back to the living room, to see Edward stood holding Teddy close to his chest, Teddy looked to be on the verge of tears
"He started to tear up when you left the room." Edward explained, I nodded
"Thank you." He nodded and started to pass him over to me, when Remus and Siri came into the room, Teddy immediately started to reach from Remus, who walked over to Edward and took him
"Why did you want up in here Harry?" Siri asked, stepping up next to Remus, giving Edward a weary look
"I didn't hurt him." Edward immediately defended
"No-one is saying you did." Edward huffed
"Then why are we in here?" Siri asked again
"Papa." Teddy's voice rang out, making Remus look down at Teddy, who was reaching out towards Siri
"That's why I called you in here, he was calling for daddy and papa."
"We've never said that to him." Remus said, and Siri took hold of Teddy's reaching hand, I shrugged
"I don't know how he came across it, but maybe you should sort it between yourselves?"
"Yeah, that might be best, you two head out." Siri said to me and Edward, I nodded and led Edward to the entrance, I stopped in the door way and turned back to face them
"Whatever you two decide to do, I'll support you, both of you." I then leave the room, taking Edward to the back door
"You want to run?" He asked me, I nodded. I opened the back door and we both stepped out, I then pulled the door shut, before taking off in a run, Edward following me, close behind.
We ran through the forest, weaving between the trees, heading up towards the mountains, I came to a stop as I saw sunlight filter through the trees, hitting the rocks of the mountain. Edward stopped next to me
"Is something wrong?" he asked me, I shook my head
"I don't go into the sun all that often, that's all."
"Does your skin react differently?" I gave him a confused look
"What do you mean?" he smiled and walked into the sunlight, he turned around to face me, slowly unbuttoning his shirt, to reveal pale sparkling skin. I looked in awe as his skin shone like diamonds
"This is why I can't go out in the sunlight; will you show me yours?" I sighed and released my glamour, not that he knew that, I then stepped up next to him in the sunlight, I felt my skin heat up as the redness flared through my veins, I saw him looking at me in awe, I pulled the sleeves of my top up, so he could see a little more. He stepped closer and took my arm in his hand "Your skin, it's warm."
"Yeah, the sun, it causes my skin to heat up, and flare the redness in my veins."
"Does it hurt?" I shook my head
"You would think it would, but no, I just can't go out in public with it showing."
"Any light does this?" I shook my head
"No, just the sun on a sunny day like this, I wouldn't last two minutes before gaining looks and staring and the whispers, I don't think I'd be able to cope with all those whispers." He chuckled and let go of my arm, but I reached up and pressed my hand against his chest "Your skin only goes like this when you're in the sunlight?" he nodded and closed his hand over mine, removing it from his chest, but then pulled it up to his mouth to press a kiss to the back of it.
"You're gorgeous like this." I raised an eyebrow at him
"You're kidding right?" He chuckled and shook his head, dropping my hand so that he could button his shirt back up
"No, the redness in your veins, it really brings out the green in your eyes." I snorted and turned away slightly, but he took hold of my shoulder and turned me back to face him
"I do say so, you're my mate and you're gorgeous." He said seriously, I grinned
"You're not half bad yourself." He chuckled and then immediately tensed up, as I heard two Heart beats "We need to leave."
"I agree." He let go of my shoulder and then took off running back into the forest, I followed him seconds after, following him and he led me through the forest, until we ended up at the back of a house and he stopped turning to face me and I came to a stop behind him
"Where are we?" he smiled
"This is my home, I want to introduce you to my parents."
"Why?"
"You introduced me to your godfathers, it only seems fair that I introduce you to my family." I sighed
"If we must." He chuckled and took a hold of my hand. He led me towards the back of the house, it was a large house, with lots of windows, which seemed a bit strange for a vampire house, but whatever suits them
"It frustrates me to no end to not know what you're thinking, will you tell me? I have Alice's excessing singing inside my head currently." Edward commented, I grinned
"I was thinking about how, having so many windows were strange for a vampire family." He smiled
"Esme, my mother, decorated the house, it's worked well for us and we don't get many human visitors, at least, we didn't used to." He stopped at the back door
"What do you mean, used to?" he sighed
"A few months ago, a girl moved to Forks, Isabella Swan, Bella, she was my Singer."
"Oh no, tell me you didn't kill her."
"I didn't kill her, no, it took a lot of control, but no, I dated her instead." I looked at him in shock
"What? Are you completely mad? What on earth possessed you to date your Singer?" he shrugged
"I fell for her, I didn't mean to, I kept my distance for a while, but eventually I did fall for her." I sighed
"Mental, that's what you are, Bloody Mental."
"It wasn't something I could help Hadrian." I huffed
"I suppose not, can't help who we fall for, so, what happened?"
"She found out about us being vampires, she was okay with it."
"That's a warning sign if ever I heard one." He huffed
"Will you let me finish?" I nodded and folded my arms over my chest "Thank you, we continued to see each other, only for a few weeks, but she became obsessed with becoming a vampire, she went to stay with her mother for a while, when she and her father got into an argument the other day."
"Did you break up with her before she left?" he shrugged helplessly
"I tried to, but she threatened to reveal us, I couldn't risk that, my family, we've settled here, we don't need to up and move again." I glared at him in anger
"You're still together with her?!" He cringed
"Hadrian- "
"No, how could you?"
"What?"
"You come and tell me that I'm your Mate, while you're still involved with a human!"
"Oh, he's a good one." I heard the voice of Rosalie say. I glanced over to the back door and saw the rest of Edwards Family stood there. I huffed
"I'm sorry he told you like this, we did warn him." The older vampire said stepping forward, I huffed
"He should have listened." I saw Edward slump out the corner of my eye
"Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Carlisle Cullen, this is my wife Esme." Carlisle introduced, gesturing to the older woman beside him, she nodded at me
"Hello." She greeted, I nodded my head in return
"A pleasure to meet you both." They both nodded
"I'm sure you know the rest of my family." Carlisle commented, I nodded
"I have some classes with them." He nodded and the gestured to the house behind him
"Would you like to come inside?" I glance at the door, before looking at Edward, who looked downtrodden, I then turned to face the forest
"Thank you for the offer, but I need to head home, my family will be wondering where I got to."
"Hadrian, I'm sorry." Edward spoke
"I know you are, I'll see you another day." I then sped of back into the forest, weaving back through the trees, making my way back home, I sped through the woods, by passing the wards around the house, I stopped at the back door and sighed "Knew it was too good to be true, nothing ever goes right for me."
