Hadrian's Pov
The Next Day
I left my room early then next morning, I checked on Teddy and found him still asleep, heard Remus still fast asleep, but I heard Siri moving about downstairs. I was already dressed in today's outfit, black jeans, a green polo t-shirt and a black jumper. I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen where Siri was sat at the kitchen table nursing a cup of coffee
"You only drink Coffee when you really need to be awake." Siri jumped at my voice, before turning his head to look at me, he gave me a smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes
"Morning Pup." I frowned and moved to sit at the table in front of him
"What's wrong?" he sighed
"I'm just thinking, I can't wrap my head around me and Remus."
"Did you two discuss what happened yesterday?" he nodded, and I heard a bedroom door open upstairs
"I love Remus, I have done since we were in Hogwarts together, but he never seems to show and interest back, so I didn't pursue him… we grew up, you were born, I went to Azkaban, broke out, the war, got myself cleared of charges, he fell for Tonks, had Teddy with her, I adore that kid, nothing with change that and I still love Remus, when we moved here we started something, I don't know if he was grieving and needed a release, but I gave it to him." I heard Remus come down the stairs but he stopped on the last step before the kitchen entry way
"But you weren't sure fo his feelings for you."
"No, I wasn't, and it didn't matter to me at the time, all I cared was that I finally had him, I was finally with him, like I'd wanted since we were kids, but then Teddy called me Papa and Remus asked me to sleep in the spare room last night."
"But you two did talk about Teddy calling you Papa, right?" he nodded
"Yeah, he doesn't want Teddy to be confused."
"So, what? You're going to stop Teddy from calling you papa?" he shrugged
"Seems so."
"That'll just confuse him even more." He shrugged again
"I don't know, look, don't tell Remus this, but I'm thinking of heading over to England sooner than planned, get everything in order with the goblins and ministry, play the grieving Godfather." I frowned
"You're running away." He sighed
"Not forever, just a few weeks, until this mess in England is cleared up, make sure they get what they deserve for what they did to you." I huffed, as he stood from his seat to take his cup to the sink and rinse it out, he then placed it on the side to be washed up later
"It's not right Siri, you shouldn't have to hide, this is your home, you need to tell Remus, what you just told me, did he even know you've loved him this long?" he spun around to face me
"No, and you wont tell him either, promise me Harry, not a word." I sighed
"Alright, I promise I wont say anything to Remus." He sighed
"I don't like putting you in this position Pup."
"Then don't and just tell him." He sighed
"I can't Pup, not yet, just promise me you'll keep it a secret, just for a while." I nodded
"I already promised, didn't I?" he nodded with a grin, as he joined me again at the table
"So, you ready to face Edward today? It's raining outside you know." I huffed
"I know, I was listening to it all night, thinking about what I could say to him."
"You can't help who you fall for." Then I heard Remus head back upstairs
"I know, I just need to let the word flow when I next see him." He nodded
"You gonna have a Blood Pop before you go? And have you done all your homework?" I rolled my eyes
"Yes Siri, I've got all my homework done and yes, I will be taking a blood pop with me to school, I'll eat it while I'm driving." He chuckled
"Well you best get your bag then, otherwise you're going to be late." I glanced at the clock and groaned, I dashed upstairs to my room, I hurriedly put all my school work in my bag and dashed back downstairs, Siri was stood leaning against the kitchen counter a smirk planted on his face, holding out a blood pop
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up." I took the blood po from him and made my way to the Garage
"Have a good day Pup." I grinned and grabbed my keys from the counter, I then jumped into my car. I drove at a steady pace all the way to school and parked in the parking lot. As soon as I shut my car off there was a tapping at my window, I frowned and glanced up to see Edward soon there looking sorry for himself and guilty, I sighed knowing that this was coming. I grabbed my bag and pulled the keys from the ignition, I then opened the door, Edward stepped back to let the door swing open so that I could get out and shut the door behind me, I locked the door and then turned to look at Edward expectantly. He sighed
"Can we talk?" I glanced at my watch and realized we had a bit of time before the school and nodded, he gently took a hold of my elbow and led me away from my car and to the edge of the car park, near the forest line "Hadrian, I'm sorry." I nodded
"I know." He gave me a shocked look before giving me a confused look, not even having to read his mind, I shrugged "You can't help who you fall for, whether it be actual love, or just lust, it can't be helped." He sent me a small smile
"I really did try to break it off with her, that one of the reasons we were arguing the day you started school." I nodded
"I understand Edward, honestly I do, you don't need to apologise anymore."
"I know, but I still am really sorry." I grinned
"You'll make it up to me eventually." He chuckled
"I'm sure I will." Then suddenly the bell rang "We better head in to class." I nodded and we walked together into school idly chatting, until we went our separate ways to class.
When lunchtime rolled around, I walked out of my classroom to see Edward stood, leant against the opposite wall, holding his books in his hand, he was glancing down the hallway as if he was looking for someone, but when I stepped out of the classroom, his gaze fell on me and he smiled
"Waiting long?" he grinned and shook his head
"I had a free period before lunch, I thought I'd walk you to the cafeteria." I smiled
"You know I don't eat right?" he chuckled
"You don't? What a shocker, shall we just go and enjoy each other's company? And perhaps maybe pretend to eat?" I put a thoughtful look on my face, and pretended to deliberate over it
"I suppose we could, though, I didn't bring anything to pretend to eat." He shrugged
"We can get something from the Cafeteria." I nodded and he gestured down the hallway with his book filed hand, while his other hand was tucked into the front pocket of his jeans "Shall we go?"
