Chapter 3

"Hey Mentor," Antonio said into his samurai morpher. He and Mia were checking in with Mentor Ji. Mentor Ji wanted them to do check ins while they were on this mission to make sure they were safe.

"How are you both doing?" Mentor Ji asked.

"Well, we got the map, but Octoroo knows that we're trying to stop him," Mia said.

"That is not good. Maybe it is time we get the others involved."

"No," Antonio said. "They shouldn't have to worry about this. We can handle this and stop Octoroo."

They both heard Mentor Ji sigh. "What do you think, Mia?"

"I think that we can handle this," Mia said. "I also think that it will be easier for us to sneak around if it's just the two of us. Octoroo might know that we're trying to stop him, but we still have the map, and he doesn't. We know where to go and he doesn't."

"Mia's right," Antonio said. "We have the advantage and bringing the others into this could cause us to lose this advantage."

Mentor Ji didn't like this plan, but knew it was their best chance. "Ok. Just be careful."

"We will."

"So... you're both rangers too?" Matthew asked.

"Yep," Adrian said.

"We've known for our whole lives that we were going to have to become rangers someday," Juliet said.

"We honestly had no idea," Gianna said. "Not until we were attacked at our home."

Adrian walked over to Gianna and put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. I'm sure my parents will know what to do."

Meanwhile, Kevin and Lauren were talking in the kitchen. "What do we do?" Kevin asked his wife. "The kids of our missing friends just showed up at our doorstep."

"Who would've thought that they would be our son's best friends?" Lauren said.

"I know. What do you think we should do?"

"I think we should call Jayden and get his opinion on this."

Kevin nodded.

Lauren grabbed her phone since she had already given up her samuraizer and called Jayden. "Hey Jayden. We got a little situation."

"What's your colors anyway?" Matthew asked Adrian and Juliet.

"I'm blue," Adrian said.

"And I'm red," Juliet added.

"Our parents didn't even tell us our colors," Gianna commented.

"That's easy. With the morphers you showed us, we can easily tell that," Juliet pointed to Matthew, "you're gold," she pointed to Gianna, "and you're pink."

"Ok. I guess that settles that."

Kevin and Lauren walked into the living room where the four teenagers were talking. "Come on," Kevin said. "We better get going."

"Where are we going?" Adrian asked.

"We're meeting your uncle and cousin at the Shiba house."

"Jayden also said that he would call Mike and Emily and have them and their kids meet us there too," Lauren said.

"Let's get going," Kevin said.

Later on, they arrived at the Shiba house. Everyone else was already there and waiting for them to arrive. Jayden filled Mike and Emily in on what Lauren had told him. Lauren had only actually told him that the Nighlok were back. She didn't want to tell Jayden about Antonio and Mia's kids showing up at their door. She thought that part would be better to tell him in person. Kevin and Lauren were the first to walk through the gates of the Shiba house when they arrived. Matthew, Gianna, Adrian, and Juliet were looking at everything and taking it all in which caused them to enter a bit behind Kevin and Lauren. Jayden immediately recognized his niece and nephew, but he didn't recognize the other two teenagers.

Jayden walked up to his sister. "Lauren, who are they?" he asked, referring to Matthew and Gianna.

"That's going to be a little tricky to explain," Lauren said

Kevin motioned for Mike and Emily to join in on their conversation. "They showed up on our doorstep," he said.

"But why?" Emily asked.

Kevin sighed. "Because Antonio and Mia told them to find the Shiba house."

"What do you mean?" Mike asked.

"Antonio and Mia are their parents," Lauren blurted out which earned collective gasps from Mike, Emily, and Jayden.

"Antonio and Mia got together?" Mike asked for confirmation. Kevin and Lauren nodded. "Wasn't expecting that one."

Jayden couldn't believe it. He had a crush on Mia when they were fighting the Nighlok. Antonio knew how he felt and yet he ended up with her. Yes, he eventually got over it, but he's still upset that he didn't even know they got together.

"How did they know to go to your house?" Emily's voice shook Jayden out of his thoughts.

"I guess they happened to be the friends that Adrian kept telling us about," Lauren said. "The ones whose parents wouldn't allow them to really do anything."

"So, they go to the same school as our kids?" Mike asked.

"Except Brandon since he's younger than the others," Jayden pointed out.

"How old are they anyway?" Emily asked.

"16," Kevin said.

"I think we're forgetting to ask the big question," Jayden said. "Where are Antonio and Mia?"

"According to what their kids told us," Lauren started. "They were attacked by Nighlok in their house. Antonio and Mia gave them instructions to find the Shiba house and Mentor Ji."

"Did I hear my name?" The five of them turned around to see Mentor Ji standing right outside the door of the Shiba house. "What is going on out here?" He looked around at everyone who was outside and noticed Antonio and Mia's kids. "Oh."

"Why do I get the feeling that you know something?" Mike asked.

"Are Antonio and Mia here?"

"No," Kevin said. "Their kids just showed up at our door and they said that they were attacked by Nighlok in their house."

"Octoroo must have finally found them."

"What do you mean 'Octoroo must have finally found them'?" Kevin asked.

"Bring everyone inside and I'll tell you all everything."

Kevin, Lauren, Mike, Emily, and Jayden gathered all the kids and brought them inside the Shiba house.
