Chapter 24 Break 5
Tony's point of view
No one was exactly happy with me.
Apparently, I caused the entire Ultron situation
Maybe.
I did it inadvertently.
The others were taking turns proving their worth by attempting to lift Mjölnir and cheering each other on.
"Tony, come on, come and join us" said Pepper
"I don't think so" I replied coldly
"Why not?" Pepper asked.
"Why would I when I am blamed for everything?" I demanded, "Yeah, I don't think I will be coming back to the team or Stark Industries or continuing our relationship. I mean, I get yelled at for opening my damn mouth, so… what is the point. In fact, why don't I just leave now and be done with it?"
"You can't. Now get over there and participate." said Rufus.
"No" I replied
"Participate" Rufus snarled
"NO" I yelled
"I said participate" Rufus screamed
"And I said NO!" I shrieked.
Bruce turned green, grabbed me by the hair, and added me to the end of the line. Then he turned human again.
"I refuse to participate in this useless activity any further"
"You will do as you are told, Stark" Rogers barked. That did it, I lost what remained of my composure.
"Will I? WHO IN THE BLUE FUCKING HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, ROGERS? YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER, YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME AT ALL. NONE OF YOU HAVE ANY PURPOSE TO ME. YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS. I WISH I HAD TOLD FURY TO SHOVE HIS SUPER-SECRET BOY BAND WHERE THE BATS WON'T FLY!"
Seething, I turned and walked to the jail cell. I unlocked the door, went inside, closed the door and sat down in the furthest corner from the rest of the room.
Pepper's point of view
I followed Tony to the jail cell
"Tony, locking yourself away in here will not solve anything"
"So? They won't let me out, they don't allow weapons, so what else is left? If I go back out there, I am going to tear Rogers a new one."
"If it happens, it happens. I support you 100% and so do Jay, Bruce, Clint, Wanda, and Pietro. Your parents too. Peter and Maria, and even my godfather".
"Fine, I will come out but if that son of a bitch says ONE word to me, I will make what Hulk did to Loki in Avengers: Assemble look like child's play!"
