Akame gasped as she saw the familiar-looking woman in her visions. Having an up-close look at her she was even more beautiful than in the vision.
She looked around as the queen's personal room looked very extravagant which was very fitting for a person of nobility.
Akame's gaze swept around the room as she settled into her seat, taking in the elegant surroundings. Crystal chandeliers hung above from the ceiling, casting a soft, shimmering glow that illuminated the space with a touch of grandeur. Lavender-colored window curtains, delicately weaved with intricate floral patterns, swayed gently in the breeze, allowing the sunlight to filter in and bathe the room in a warm, ethereal light.
Her eyes then traveled to the dark burgundy drawers that were placed evenly apart from one another, their polished surfaces gleaming faintly in the ambient light. Each drawer seemed meticulously organized, hinting at the queen's penchant for order and attention to detail.
At the center of the room stood the queen's canopy bed, a majestic piece of furniture with periwinkle-colored curtains draped from above, cascading down in graceful folds. The bed looked inviting and regal, its plush pillows and silky sheets promising comfort and luxury.
The room exuded an air of refinement and sophistication, every element carefully chosen to reflect the queen's impeccable taste and style. Akame couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the beauty and opulence surrounding her, a stark contrast to the hardships she had endured in her own past.
As Akame's eyes wandered towards the window, she was greeted by a mesmerizing sight. Beyond the lavender curtains, the glass pane framed a panoramic view of the cityscape below. Every day bustling flying cars zipped through the air, leaving trails of shimmering light in their wake as they navigated the bustling metropolis.
But it was the horizon that truly captivated her. Against the backdrop of the sprawling city, the sky stretched out in a canvas of breathtaking colors. The burnt red sun dipped towards the horizon, casting a warm, golden hue over the landscape. Sunset orange clouds painted streaks across the sky, their wispy tendrils illuminated by the fading light.
It was a scene of unparalleled beauty, one that seemed to hold the promise of endless possibilities. And yet, amidst the awe-inspiring view, a pang of envy tugged at Akame's heart. The sunsets here, in this vibrant city, looked much better than the ones she had witnessed in the Empire. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of longing for the simplicity and tranquility of those distant horizons, even as she marveled at the spectacle before her.
Akame then starts to focus back on the woman. As the eloquent-looking woman leaned forward, her expression warm yet slightly awkward. "What's your name?" she inquired, her smile faltering ever so slightly.
Akame blinked, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected question. "What was that?" she asked, her tone tinged with confusion. Internally, she cursed herself for appearing clueless in front of the queen, berating her own lapse in composure.
The woman repeated herself, her voice gentle but insistent. "I said, what's your name?" she clarified, her smile softening as she patiently awaited Akame's response.
Akame quickly straightened her posture, her nerves tingling as she faced the woman across from her. "My name is Akame Metsujin," she replied, her voice steady despite the flutter in her chest. She couldn't shake the worry that she might have already stumbled in this interview.
The woman offered a reassuring smile. "Are you nervous? It's alright to be."
"Yes, a little bit, since I'm in the presence of a queen," Akame admitted. In her mind, the queen loomed with an aura of authority, someone not to be crossed lightly.
The woman chuckled softly. "There's no need to be. I'm not a dictator or anything."
Akame returned the smile, though a hint of formality lingered in her expression. "I know, but I still need to act respectfully in front of you, M'Ilady," she replied, recalling the lessons from the books she had read on expressing formal etiquette. It was ingrained in her to show respect to those in authority.
Except for the Prime Minister, she added silently, a touch of disdain coloring her thoughts. He could go dance into a volcano for all she cared.
Padme offered an understanding smile. "You're fine. So, are you ready for the interview?" she asked, her tone gentle.
Akame nodded, steeling herself for the questions to come.
The first question cut through the air. "Alright, Akame, what was your childhood like?" Padme inquired, her gaze intent with curiosity.
Akame took a deep breath before responding. "Growing up, I never really had any sort of family figures in my life. It was just me and my sister, whom I had to raise myself. Though it's depressing to think about, I quickly learned that society wasn't as innocent and peaceful as it seems."
She continued, her voice steady despite the memories stirring within her. "Raising my sister gave me the experience any sort of parental figure could ever provide. I learned how to survive each day, showing gratitude for every passing moment and mastering the art of cooking with whatever ingredients we could scrounge up. I gained insights into life that many others my age couldn't comprehend, which made me feel more mature than my peers."
Padme's expression softened with sympathy. "I'm sorry to hear that, but look at how you've grown into the person you are today. Sooner or later, you would have realized that society is unforgiving. I can sense your strength and resilience, traits that I greatly admire. We need individuals like you in this galaxy, especially when so many are suffering under the indifferent gaze of the Galactic Senate. That's why I'm here, representing the people of Naboo, striving to bring about change." After Padme's encouraging words, she leans back slightly, her expression thoughtful as she processes Akame's story.
Akame's shoulders relax a fraction, sensing a genuine warmth in the queen's demeanor. She offers a small, appreciative smile in return, feeling a bit more at ease in the queen's presence. "Thank you, your majesty. It means a lot to hear that from you."
Padme's eyes soften, her gaze reflecting empathy as she considers Akame's journey. "You've been through so much, yet you've emerged stronger for it. It's a testament to your courage and determination."
Akame nods, a flicker of pride igniting within her chest. "I've had to learn to adapt and survive in a world that doesn't always play fair. But it's made me who I am today."
Padme nods in agreement, her expression thoughtful. "Indeed. Your experiences have undoubtedly shaped you into a formidable individual. Now, let's delve a bit deeper into your experiences. How did you come to develop your unique set of skills and abilities? And how do you believe they could be of service to me as an assistant?"
Akame's eyes brighten with enthusiasm as she leans forward, eager to share her story. "My skills weren't learned in any traditional sense. They were born out of a desire to survive and protect those I care about. Whether it was navigating the streets of the city or outsmarting those who sought to harm us, I had to rely on my instincts and resourcefulness."
"But over the years I've learned a variety of skills, not just combat prowess, but also other disciplines that pique my interest," Akame explained, her voice carrying a tone of confidence born from years of dedicated training. "These skills include knife throwing, bo staff-wielding, creating poisons, acupuncture, kendo, calligraphy, archery, tea ceremony, acrobatics, and playing the zither."
"And throughout my training, I've developed many skills in various martial arts disciplines, each contributing to my approach to combat," she continued, her words flowing with a sense of pride. "My foundation lies in kenjutsu and Iaido, which complement my precision and speed in every strike I make. These techniques enable me to quickly dispatch threats."
"When stealth is required, I employ skills such as Ninjutsu, the martial arts of a ninja," Akame elaborated, her voice taking on a more focused tone. "These techniques include infiltration, espionage, and unconventional warfare."
"And when confronted directly, I utilize techniques from kendo and Aikido to calculate and redirect opponents' strikes," she added, her words reflecting the strategic mindset ingrained in her through years of training.
"In close-quarter combat, I draw upon elements of Muay Thai for close-quarters combat and Escrima for versatile blade work," Akame explained, her voice tinged with a hint of reverence for the disciplines that have shaped her into the warrior she is today.
The queen nodded, impressed by Akame's diverse skill set. "Your mastery of these diverse skills and training is truly remarkable, Akame. It's a testament to your discipline and commitment to your craft."
"I'm intrigued by the principles behind each of these disciplines and how they shape your approach to combat," the queen continued, her curiosity evident in her tone. "Would you mind sharing more about the philosophies that guide you in your training? I believe there's much we can learn from each other's perspectives."
"Of course, I can share with you," Akame replied, her voice calm and composed. "In my experience, each martial art carries its own philosophy, but they all converge on the principle of discipline and adaptability."
"Kenjutsu and Iaido taught me the importance of precision and decisive action, reminding me that every strike must be intentional and purposeful," she explained, her words reflecting the deep respect she held for these traditional disciplines.
"Ninjutsu instills in me the value of stealth and patience, emphasizing the power of surprise and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances," Akame continued, her voice taking on a more secretive tone as she discussed the clandestine techniques of the ninja.
"Kendo's philosophy of 'kata' or forms resonates deeply with me," she added, her voice filled with reverence. "It emphasizes the importance of mastering the basics before advancing to more complex techniques."
"Muay Thai's philosophy of resilience and determination teaches me to push through pain and exhaustion, to never falter even in the face of adversity," Akame elaborated, her voice carrying a note of determination.
"And in Escrima/Kali, I find the philosophy of fluidity and versatility, where every movement flows seamlessly into the next, adapting to the ebb and flow of battle," she concluded, her words reflecting the adaptability ingrained in her through years of training.
"Ultimately, my philosophy is one of efficiency and adaptability," Akame summarized, her voice firm and unwavering. "I believe in being prepared for any situation, drawing upon the teachings of these skills to overcome my adversaries with swift and decisive action."
The queen nodded, impressed by Akame's insight. "Your philosophy resonates deeply with me, Akame," she acknowledged. "The principles of discipline, adaptability, and resilience are not only essential in martial arts but also in navigating the complexities of diplomacy and leadership."
Padme listens attentively, her interest piqued by Akame's diverse skill set. After Akame finishes speaking, Padme offers a thoughtful response.
"I admire your dedication to mastering these disciplines and the wisdom you've gained from their teachings. It's evident that your philosophy guides not only your actions in combat but also your approach to life's challenges. I believe there's much we can learn from each other's experiences and perspectives, both on the battlefield and in the halls of diplomacy."
Akame continues answering the question with "I also believe that knowledge is key because having a certain amount of knowledge in a variety of subjects makes you more informed and learning new things makes me feel like I gained some new information that I could use as an advantage when needed most. " She said while reminiscing what she read about in the books she stole and read in this galaxy.
The subjects I mostly delve into are accounting, chemistry, toxicology, criminology, anatomy, psychology, geography, philosophy, economics, history, poetry, finance, commerce, Galactic Affairs, etc.
"You know, I've always found it fascinating how diverse knowledge can be, and how each subject can be a weapon in its own right."
"Take accounting for instance. Understanding where the money flows can unravel the secrets of even the most powerful organizations and governments. It's like peeling back layers of deception to reveal the truth hidden beneath," Akame mused, her mind already calculating the strategic implications.
"And chemistry and toxicology? They might seem like unconventional pursuits for a warrior, but in the heat of battle, knowing how to identify poisons or create antidotes can mean the difference between life and death," Akame thought, recalling past encounters where such knowledge had saved her or her comrades.
As she contemplated the subject of criminology, Akame's thoughts sharpened. "Understanding my enemies' behaviors and patterns gives me the upper hand," she reflected. "It's like seeing the world through their eyes, anticipating their every move before they even make it."

"It's a teacher, showing us where we've been and where we might go." She pondered the lessons of past civilizations, drawing inspiration from their triumphs and learning from their mistakes.
"Ah, and then there's poetry," Akame continued her musings, "a seemingly unconventional pursuit, but it sharpens the soul, reminding me of the beauty that still exists in a galaxy filled with darkness."
"Art and literature might seem frivolous," Akame pondered, "but they offer invaluable insight into the culture and mindset of my enemies. Understanding their art can sometimes reveal more about their intentions than any interrogation."
As she considered music and performance, Akame nodded to herself. "Sometimes, a well-timed distraction can be just as effective as an attack. A stirring melody or a captivating performance can create openings where none seemed to exist."
"Galactic Affairs? In a universe of conflict, knowing the politics of planets can save lives," Akame acknowledged. "And commerce? Understanding trade and markets can be just as lethal as any blade." She recognized the power of economics in shaping the destinies of worlds, often wielding it as a weapon in her own right.

"In our efforts to promote peace and justice throughout the galaxy, your understanding of subjects ranging from accounting to deception could provide us with valuable insights into the root causes of conflict and the most effective strategies for resolution."
Padme continues."Trust is a precious commodity in the world we inhabit, Akame, in our line of work, where loyalty can be elusive and alliances fleeting, it's natural to approach new partnerships with caution."
she continues saying. "I value transparency and integrity above all else, Akame," Padmé would say, her voice steady. "If we are to work together, it's essential that we have mutual trust and respect. I need to know that I can rely on you, just as you need to know that you can rely on me."
"Your majesty, I understand the significance of trust in your line of work," Akame would begin, "It's not something I take lightly, and I appreciate your candor in expressing your concerns."
She would continue. "Trust is earned through actions, not words," Akame says, her voice steady. "And I want you to know that I am fully committed to protecting you and the ideals we both hold dear."
She then adds "My loyalty lies with those who fight for justice and the greater good," she would explain, her tone resolute. "I have never betrayed a trust placed in me, and I have no intention of doing so now."
Padme smiled at this and continued with the interview.
As the interview progresses, Padme's initial warmth is tinged with a subtle hint of uncertainty. Despite Akame's impressive resilience and passion, doubts linger in Padme's mind as she considers the weight of her decision.
Padme leans forward, her brow furrowed in thought as she considers Akame's responses. "Akame, your story is undeniably compelling, and your dedication to justice is admirable. However, I must admit, the decision to choose an assistant is not one to be taken lightly." "Your knowledge in various disciplines is also a powerful asset for my own gain which is beneficial for me but."
Akame's heart sinks slightly, sensing the shift in the queen's demeanor. She braces herself for her majesty's next words, her expression a mix of apprehension and determination.
Padme continues, her tone measured yet sincere. "I need someone by my side who not only possesses the necessary skills and abilities but also shares my vision for the future of the galaxy. Someone who can navigate the complexities of politics and diplomacy with grace and tact while also being able to protect me from enemies that want to kill me for their insidious intentions."
Akame listens intently, her resolve steeling within her. She knows she has what it takes to be that person, to support Her Majesty in her efforts to bring about positive change.
"I understand, Your Majesty," Akame responds earnestly. "I may not have all the experience or qualifications you're looking for, but I'm willing to learn and grow. I believe in your vision for the galaxy, and I'm committed to doing whatever it takes to help you achieve it."
Padme's gaze softens, a flicker of reassurance in her eyes. "I appreciate your honesty, Akame. And I admire your determination to make a difference. Perhaps what we need isn't just someone with experience, but someone with passion and conviction. Someone who isn't afraid to challenge individuals of high authority."
Encouraged by the queen's response, Akame feels a surge of hope welling up within her. She's come this far, and she's determined to prove herself worthy of this opportunity.
Padme, on the other hand, feels a flicker of hope amidst the lingering uncertainty. Perhaps Akame's earnestness and determination are exactly what she needs in an assistant, someone who is willing to learn and grow alongside her, someone who shares her passion for making a difference in the galaxy.
As the interview draws a close, Padme offers a nod of approval. "You've passed the primary stage of the interview, Akame," she announces. " Tomorrow, we'll proceed to the secondary stage where you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills and prove to me that you can protect me from harm."
Akame's heart leaps with excitement at the prospect of moving forward in the selection process. She knows that the real challenge lies ahead, but she's ready to face it head-on, fueled by her admiration for the queen and her determination to excel in this role.
Akame can't help but feel a sense of determination coursing through her veins. Tomorrow's trial will be her chance to prove herself, to demonstrate her worthiness to be the queen's assistant. And she's determined to seize the opportunity with everything she's got.
Afterward, Akame asked Padme if there were any places she could stay so she could arrive on time for the secondary stage of the interview.
"Your majesty, do you know if there are any nearby places I could stay tonight? I want to make sure I arrive on time for the secondary stage of the interview tomorrow," Akame asked, hoping for a convenient solution to her dilemma.
"Sure, there are some extra rooms on the floors below mine," Padme responded with a warm smile. "I can help you arrange for a room there if you'd like. It's not too far from the interview venue, so you should have no trouble getting there on time tomorrow."
"Thank you so much, That would be incredibly helpful," Akame replied gratefully, relieved to have a solution to her lodging concern.
Akame proceeds to exit Padme's room.
After concluding all the primary stage interviews, only 16 applicants emerged as successful candidates.
Padme and Captain Typho deliberated over the top 5 candidates who had left a lasting impression on her.
Padme remarked, "While there were many impressive candidates, some lacked the conviction and determination in their voices necessary to protect me."
Expanding on her thoughts, she added, "A few had soft-spoken demeanors and cheerful attitudes, traits that don't align with what I require in an assistant. I need someone who is just as motivated and committed as I am to protecting the galaxy." Captain Typho replies " I think you made some wise decisions, but can you really trust the word of some of them."
He continues "can we truly trust the intentions of all those applicants? Some of them looked like they had ulterior motives, perhaps viewing this chance to do evil things to you."
Padme responds " I understand your point of view, but don't be so paranoid. I'm quite sure I know who I am picking."
Captain Typho responds with " Really, which ones are they."
Padme responds back with "There are five that I really like, I think this secondary stage will reveal which among the five will stand out."
Turning the conversation, she asked, "Who do you think would be the ideal choice for my assistant, Captain?"
Captain Typho suggested, "Perhaps it could be the female zabrak or the female togruta."
Padme responds with "I'm not quite sure of that choice, but there is one that interests me."
Captain Typho responds with " Who might that be."
Padme smiles and responds " I believe it should be the one with black hair and red eyes."
Captain Typho questioned, " The one from Tatooine, Why her specifically?"
Padme replies " So she's from Tatooine that's interesting. Well either way she has the look of determination and conviction, the same as I do for justice. Her skill set is also intriguing there are skills I've never even heard of which makes her a bit of a mystery. She may even rival some Jedi in strength, which is very enlightening to know. Moreover, I can sense a genuine willingness in her voice that she can protect me from danger. Her knowledge in various subjects is also appealing and impressive she might be even more knowledgeable than Obi-Wan."
Captain Typho replies "Obi-Wan, are you sure that sounds false but then again its your decision so I guess she could be the one, but only time will tell in the next stage if she is the best choice."
Padme replies " Well I think she is more knowledgeable than him so. And we'll see what she can do tomorrow. I truly believe that she will persevere."
And so, Padme and Captain Typho continue to discuss the potential candidates for hours and hours
Akame lay in sheer comfort, her senses enveloped by the opulence of the room the queen graciously provided. The furnishings were beyond her wildest dreams, each detail meticulously crafted to exude luxury and extravagance.
Stepping into the shower, Akame was greeted by an experience unlike any other. The warm water cascaded over her body, washing away the fatigue and stress of her journey. It was a moment of tranquility and reprieve, a rare sensation of peace and relaxation in this unfamiliar galaxy.
Meeting the queen was like a breath of fresh air because finally there was someone she could confide in, someone who offered a glimmer of connection in this strange and bewildering universe.
As Akame dried off and prepared for bed, she couldn't shake the feeling of contentment that lingered from the sumptuous meal she had enjoyed earlier. The flavors were a symphony on her palate, each dish a masterpiece of culinary artistry that left her utterly satiated.
Turning to her bed, Akame found herself drawn to its inviting embrace. The plush mattress and soft, silky sheets beckoned to her, promising a night of restful slumber. It was a stark contrast to the cold, unforgiving alleyways she had grown accustomed to, a tangible reminder that she was no longer alone in this vast and unfamiliar world.
As Akame's mind wandered to the challenges of the coming day, she contemplated her role as the queen's assistant. Could she truly fulfill the duties required, she pondered. She just had to try her best in combat then she'll be fine.
With a sense of determination burning within her, Akame closed her eyes, feeling a sense of warmth enveloping her as she nestled beneath the covers. It was a welcome embrace, a comforting cocoon that lulled her into a peaceful slumber. As sleep gently claimed her, a serene smile graced her lips, a reflection of the contentment she found in the promise of tomorrow.
