Guest02957: Thanks.
sniperbro1998: I'll think about it. I'm not really the type to write antagonistic OCs as the main character. I'll only go for the Gray area, not a full on villain.
hellfire45: Thanks.
Guest: Thanks.
Guest: I remember that story. It was an awesome read.
superpierce: Kinda like how the Minotaur, Medusa, and other Greek monsters in the Percy Jackson books return.
Kenka: Not just her, but Aphrodite and Hera. Well, all the Olympians. The Titans' rising and Kronos return is basically their full karma for all their shit.
ayatoamagiri3425: Thanks.
22jward: Here you go.
Disclaimer: I do not own God of War or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Jakob Thorsson.
Artemis wasn't sure how long she had been standing there, only that she could vaguely hear someone shouting her name before finally turning towards Chiron.
"Lady Artemis! We need your assistance, otherwise Zoe will die!" Chiron said, as he and Will could only do so much with the grievous wounds she suffered, it's a miracle she's even still alive now.
This brought the Moon Goddess back to reality as she looked at her Lieutenant, feeling renewed horror as she looked at Zoe's wounds and realized who made them.
'Kallisto…' Artemis thought while feeling faint at what former Lieutenant and best friend did to Zoe, not only did she still have her weapons but she also now seemed capable of transforming herself from a human into a bear.
Something she was only capable of because she was the one who cursed Kallisto in the first place, and now that same curse was used to kill her Hunters.
"I…I can't…" Said Artemis as she looked at Zoe, desperately wanting to save her, but healing had never been her specialty, let alone healing wounds even she could tell were fatal.
That had always been Apollo's area of expertise, having always called upon him whenever her Hunters got mortally injured. But now, that option isn't available to her.
"We need to do something! Will, what about the rest of your siblings, would all of you together be able to help?!" Chiron asked, looking at the Son of Apollo, with Will unsure if something could work.
"I…I don't know, maybe! There's no guarantee, and not all of them have the same abilities with healing. It might work, it might not." Said Will, making the Trainer of Heroes mentally curse before looking at Artemis again.
"Lady Artemis if there's anything you can do, then you must do it now." Chiron said, knowing they needed to do something fast.
Looking between her Lieutenant and the two healers, her first thought was to immediately find her nephew, Asclepius, knowing he'd be able to save Zoe. But she had no idea where he is at the moment, and even if she did, she couldn't leave camp thanks to her father's orders to watch Jakob.
Though the moment she thought of the Son of Thor, Artemis's eyes widened at remembering what he did to Thalia after their match. How he had healed her and can heal any injury he gets as well. While she wasn't sure if he could heal injuries this severe, right now he's also her only option.
'Not just to save Zoe, but to save Apollo.' Artemis thought, now seeing just how serious the situation is, needing to go save her twin.
And the only way she could is if Jakob goes with her, that way she'll still technically be keeping an eye on him like her father wants.
Not wasting another second, Artemis rushed out of the Big House towards where she could sense Jakob, being nothing more than a silver blur that rushed through the camp and into the forest where she found the Aesir demigod in a small clearing, practising with the Blades of Chaos.
Jakob glanced at her as she arrived, barely stopping his practising. "Did Zeus finally give the order for my death?" He asked, thinking that's why she has sought him out... or maybe she had finally snapped and wanted to kill him herself.
"I need your help!" Artemis stepped forward, her words causing Jakob to halt as he yanked on the chained blades to bring the blades back to his hands.
"You need my help?" Jakob snorted at that, amused. "Artemis, known man-hater, needs my help? Has Ragnarök started?"
"Please!" Artemis stepped forward, her expression that of concern and begging which was a great shock to Jakob though he didn't show it. He didn't think any of the Olympians could actually plead and beg, they were always too prideful. "It's Zoe! S-She-She's... she's been hurt badly She doesn't have long, and I need you to heal her, please! You healed Thalia Grace with your lightning, do the same to Zoe!"
Jakob rose a brow. "Why should I? She tried to kill me. She'd rather die than be saved by one of my gender."
"She'll die if you don't!" Artemis cried, horrified that he was refusing.
Jakob shrugged. "Her death wouldn't affect me, so why should I bother? Besides, you'll end up getting a new lieutenant after a few years and probably forget about Zoe." Jakob said as he moved to walk around the Goddess of the Moon.
But Artemis darted in front of him, her expression twisting with worry, fear, anger, her tone still pleading. "Apollo's been captured! The Titans have him! That's why I sent my Hunters out, to save him!"
"And?" Jakob asked boredly, walking around her, making Artemis have to fall into step with him, taking the note out and shoving it in his face which made him grunt before he took it.
"This was on Zoe when she was found at the border along with the others. They were... they were butchered." Artemis choked on her words, too horrified as she remembered the gruesome sight.
Jakob sighed and looked at the note, his eyes scanning the words in seconds, then he chuckled. "Well, well, looks like karma is finally catching up to you Olympians." he shoved the note into her chest and walked past her.
"Why won't you help me?!" Artemis demanded.
Jakob stopped and turned to her. "Because this doesn't concern me. It has nothing to do with me. This is because of you and your father. Your father raped Kallisto, you cast her out, and she's clearly went mad since. This is her taking revenge, and she deserves to do so if you ask for my opinion. And why should I help? What makes you think I give a damn about you Olympians? The only Greek Gods that I care or have a measure of respect for are Poseidon, because I'm friends with his daughter, Hestia and Hades. I am not one of your little tools to be called upon like the rest of them here. If you want to save your brother, go do it yourself."
"I can't because I've been ordered to stay here and watch you!" Artemis shouted, getting angry at how uncaring he was.
Jakob rolled his eyes and turned away dismissively. "Then take it up with your father, Artemis. You're a big girl, doesn't daddy usually do everything his daughters wish? And need I remind you that this whole mess is you and the rest of the Olympians' fault? All the acts you've commited are finally catching up to exact karma. The Titans are rising again, Kronos is returning, and demigods are flocking to their side because the Gods don't care about them and those demigods think they are just the result of a God wanting to get their pleasure in fucking a mortal. Your pantheon is as fucked up as mine. I'm only sticking around because of the friends I have here. I'm here for them. Not the Gods. If you want to be angry at somebody, try blaming Hermes, your father or yourself."
Artemis flinched at his words, unable to come up with a counter argument because she knew that he was right. Everything he said was the truth.
"Please..." She begged softly and fell to her knees before him, causing Jakob to raise an eyebrow. Artemis stared at him pleadingly. To Hades with her pride, Zoe's life was on the line! Her brother's life was on the line! Their lives mattered more than her pride. "I'm begging you. I've already had to bury five of my daughters... don't make me bury a sixth. Please, save Zoe. Help me save my brother. If you were in my place, you'd do the same! If it was your sister! Your friends! Your girlfriend!"
Jakob looked away slightly, his eyes shifting.
"I'll do anything you want!" Artemis said desperately. "I'll leave you alone! I'll have my Hunters stay away from you. I'll let you do whatever you want to me!"
Jakob looked at her, frowning. "What?"
Artemis nodded. "You can have me in any shape or form! I'll be your toy, slave, you name it! I'll even let you lay with me and take my virginity! I swear on the-!"
"Stop!" Jakob was now crouched in front of her, his hand covering her mouth. His tone softened. "Don't... don't."
Gripping her arms, he pulled her back to her feet. Then without another word, he turned and left the forest with Artemis following after him with a hopeful expression, that he was actually going to help her. Her hope growing more at seeing the Son of Thor heading to the Big House, going in after him as they arrived at the infirmary. Their arrival getting Chiron's and Will's attention, even more so when Jakob came over and stood by Zoe's bed.
"Hold her down. Keep her still." Jakob ordered, making Chiron and Will realize what he was going to do and did as he ordered.
Artemis stood next to him, looking nervous and anxious. "Is... Will this hurt her?"
Jakob glanced at her, his expression dark. "...You better wait outside. And cover your ears to block out the screams."
Artemis swallowed at that before she shook her head. "No. I'll stay. I'll help hold her down."
Jakob nodded then looked over Zoe's wounds with a quick gaze before he placed his hands on Zoe's chest, then one shifted to be placed down onto her head. He glanced at the others, and Artemis quickly clutched Zoe's hand. Jakob didn't waste another second before chanelling the lightning into the Hunter's body, a large amount compared to what he used on Thalia due to the extent of Zoe's wounds. With the Hunter soon letting out an ear-piercing scream as she began thrashing around, making Chiron and Will hold her down to keep her steady. While Artemis quickly rushed forward and helped hold Zoe down.
"Zoe! Zoe, it's okay, everything's alright!" Artemis said, hoping her voice would help ease her Lieutenant, only for Zoe's screams to grow even louder.
"She can't hear you! Just hold her still and this'll go faster!" Said Jakob, knowing the more she moved the harder it'll be to heal the damage.
The three simply nodded as they held Zoe down as they best could, before watching as soon Zoe's wounds sparked with electricity as they began knitting themselves closed. Only to grimace slightly when they saw and heard her broken bones began forcefully snapping back into place.
It took several moments of work, but soon they saw all of Zoe's injuries were completely gone, the only evidence being her shredded and blood-stained clothes. The sight amazing Will and Chiron, given while they saw Jakob do the same to Thalia. Now they saw him save someone on the brink of death, making it so one would never even guess she had been on her way to the Underworld a moment ago.
"How…how do you do that? You channeled who knows how much lightning into her, yet there's not even a single mark. How?" Will asked, his inner healer wanting to know how Jakob could do something like that without injuring Zoe in the process from the amount of power he used.
"Different amount of charges depending on the injury. With the state she was in, I needed to use a lot while maintaining the power and where it went. Which is why I needed her to stay still, if she moved around too much and disrupted the flow…" Said Jakob before trailing off, with them being able to guess it wouldn't have been good.
"You have our thanks, Jakob." Chrion thanked him.
Jakob nodded, giving Zoe a glance, then looked at Artemis. "Let me know when she wakes up. I want every detail of what happened."
Artemis looked at him with hope. "Does that mean...?"
Jakob nodded. "I will help you find Apollo."
Relief washed over the Goddess of the Moon and she smiled at him in gratitude. "Thank you."
With that, Jakob took his leave.
Arriving at his cabin, Jakob sighed as he entered and found his friends waiting for him there.
"Hey." Silena was the first to notice her boyfriend's expression and walked over. "What's wrong?"
Jakob looked at each of them. "Apollo's been kidnapped. By the Titans."
Their eyes widened at that. "What?!" Annabeth reacted first. "H-How?"
Jakob shrugged. "Don't know. Artemis sent out some of her Hunters to find him, and they came back all dead except Zoe, although she was on death's doorstep until I stepped in and healed her just now."
"Any ideas as to what was responsible?" Mimir asked from his pedestal.
Jakob nodded. "Kallisto. She left a note, the words written in the blood of the five Hunters that were killed."
"Kallisto?" Thalia's eyes widened. "As in...?"
"The former lieutenant of Artemis' Hunters, her best friend, the girl Zeus raped and impregnated before Artemis cast her out." Jakob nodded, sighing as he walked over to the window and looked out. "I've healed Zoe, and will be leaving with Artemis to go find Apollo."
"We're coming as well." Andromeda stepped forward, determined.
Jakob turned and looked at them. "Andromeda, Annabeth, Thalia, Silena, Grover, you'll be coming with. Katie, I want you to stay back and oversee Bianca and Nico's training, as well as your own."
Katie frowned, a little disappointed that she wasn't going, but she nodded. "Got it."
"A-a-and…what about me?" Grover asked since he was included as well.
"You're good at tracking and detecting monsters. And should we encounter any animals, you can help see if they know anything useful." Jakob told him. He then addressed the others. "Girls, you've come a long way since I met you. Your powers and strength have doubled. Your combat skills are more impressive, and you don't treat this like it's some sort of game beyond this camp. You've worked your asses off, and I am proud of each and every one of you."
They all smiled at his words, the girls blushing.
"You guys... the bonds I've made here are the reason Mimir and I haven't left and continued hiding from the Aesir. Where I left one family... I seem to have found another." Jakob smiled at them. "I just want you to know, I have your back as you have mine. I will always protect you from any threats, be it mortal, monster, demigod, or even the Gods, no one will take you from me. And that, I vow on my very life."
The girls had tears in their eyes, which Thalia was quick to wipe hers away. "Y-You big softie!" She choked out a laugh. She then glanced at the others, then looked at Silena who smiled and nodded. "Right, come here."
"Wha-" Jakob was pushed back against the wall of his cabin, then she pulled him into a kiss. And not on the cheek this time. It was on the lips.
Jakob was so shocked by the action that he didn't move for a moment, with Thalia being the one to kiss him. His brain became dead when her admittedly soft lips connected with his. She was kissing him. Thalia was kissing him!
His eyes sought out Silena's, only to see his girlfriend smiling and giving him a knowing look, letting him know it was okay.
Just as Thalia was about to separate herself due to fear, embarrassment and sadness due to him not responding back, she was shocked when Jakob wrapped his arms around her and gave a deep kiss. A couple of emotions whirled inside of her, the most prominent being happiness. She moaned as Jakob kissed her back, his arms slipping to the small of her back.
It was a simple kiss that was supposed to be innocent. But since they were growing teenagers, their hormones kicked in. Thalia's hands trailed to his abs and went under his shirt, her thin and nimble fingers rubbing themselves across his stomach, making Jakob shiver slightly in excitement. Jakob's hands went to her hips, almost reaching her ass. Their simple kiss turned into an intense lip-lock. Jakob's tongue leapt forward and moved and danced inside the daughter of Zeus' cavern.
Boldly, he reached down and grabbed a handful of her fat ass, making Thalia moan, then he lifted one hand off to tangle it in her long black hair.
"Thalia!" Annabeth pouted as she walked over and pushed them apart slightly. "Don't hog him all to yourself."
And to Jakob's shock again, the Daughter of Athena pulled him into a kiss, but he was quick to return it and kiss her just as heatedly as he kissed Thalia with his hands roaming up and down her body then giving her ass a nice squeeze that made her moan and shove her tongue into his mouth, wrestling with his own.
"Hey! It's my turn!" Andromeda walked over.
Annabeth reluctantly broke the kiss, and Andromeda took her place, kissing Jakob passionately as Annabeth and Thalia stood back, while Grove and Nico watched with wide eyes.
Jakob kissed the Daughter of Poseidon, his tongue wrestling with hers, an arm wrapping around her waist to pull her closer. His other hand dipped under her skirt, feeling up her short-clad ass and giving it a firm squeeze, spurring Andromeda on into kissing him more eagerly and heatedly.
Bianca then pulled Andromeda away and took her turn in kissing Jakob. And once that was done, it was Katie, and then finally Silena.
"O-Okay..." Jakob breathed once the kissing came to an end, and the girls giggled at his expression. "W-What? What was that about?"
"Oh, I had a talk with them." Silena snuggled up against his chest, his arms staying wrapped around her. "Had them talk about their feelings for you and, like with Katie, we've decided to share you."
"Because we love you." Thalia smiled, her cheeks a little red.
"And we'd rather share than let you go." Andromeda smirked.
"It... it is a little weird, but we could get used to it." Annabeth said with a giggle.
"Ditto." Bianca nodded.
Before anything else could happen, there was a knock on the door which had Jakob reluctantly leave Silena's side to walk over and open the door, revealing Artemis on the other side.
"Zoe is awake." She told him.
When Zoe came to, her body had felt... less worse than it had been. She had a little rough cough, and her patron had been at her side instantly, giving her ambrosia before she left after checking on her some more, saying she had to get Jakob Thorsson which made Zoe confuse.
But her confusion died away as memories of what happened came to the front of her mind. Of what... she did.
She shivered as she could still hear the screams of her sisters as Kallisto tortured them until they begged for death, with Kallisto's mad laughter echoing with their screams.
"You're luck to be alive, Nightshade." The voice of Jakob Thorsson cut through, making her snap her head up to see Artemis had returned, accompanied by the Son of Thor.
She scowled. "What do you want, boy? Have you come to mock? To gloat?"
Jakob crossed his arms. "I don't kick someone while they're already down with baseless, pointless insults and gloating. There's nothing to gloat about here anyway."
"Zoe." Artemis sat at Zoe's side, gripping her hand. "You were almost... lost to us. I went to Jakob and asked for his help. He saved your life. He healed you of your wounds."
Zoe stared at her patron with disbelief and shocked eyes, part of her unable to believe it but Artemis wouldn't lie about something like that to her. She looked at Jakob to see him staring at her, no sign of any smugness or thoughts of mocking her in his eyes. His expression was neutral.
"T...Thank you." Zoe said, unable to deny that she'd rather be alive than dead, even if a boy had saved her life.
"There's hope for you yet, sweetheart." Jakob said with a smirk, much to Zoe's annoyance, though not as much as she normally would have.
"Zoe…please tell us what happened? I…I found the note, left with you… Was…was Kallisto…the one who…" Artemis said, part of her still hoping it wasn't really Kallisto and simply someone trying to get into her head, yet the rest of her knew it was her former best friend.
With Zoe beginning to shake being all the confirmation she needed, much to her pain and sadness.
"It…it was…My Lady. I…I don't know…how, but…Kallisto is alive. And…and not just her…there…there was…Medea and…and Atalanta as well." Zoe revealed, making Artemis's eyes widen in shock and horror that Medea and Atalanta were back as well. Jakob uncrossed his arms, his expression serious.
Along with now realizing why the last note had been directed at Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite and herself, they were the ones responsible for ruining their lives to begin with. And now all three were back and wanted revenge against them.
"Wh-what happened?" Artemis asked, needing to know what happened when they attacked her Hunters.
"They…they attacked us…just when we reached Washington D.C., it…it seemed they were…waiting. M-Medea…she…she restrained us all and then…K-Kallisto she…she made me watch as she…" Said Zoe as she began shaking, remembering what Kallisto did to her fellow Hunters, how they screamed and even began begging for mercy, all while Kallisto simply laughed.
"She…she attacked me next…after she was done. She…she said she wouldn't kill me, like the others…she…she wanted you to…feel helpless and despair…watching as I died. To…" Zoe said slowly wrapping her arms around herself.
"To feel the same way…she felt." Said Artemis, knowing that's what Kallisto wanted, to feel the same helplessness and despair she did.
"They're most likely the ones behind Apollo's capture." Jakob concluded, Zoe nodding in agreement.
"Yes. They didn't hide their enjoyment in revealing their role in capturing Lord Apollo and that he's…he's now holding up the sky." Revealed Zoe, not wanting to believe her father is now free.
"He's…he's holding the sky." Artemis said in fear that her brother wasn't only likely injured, but is now holding up the sky.
"Yes. M'lady I'm…I'm so sorry…I've failed you." Zoe said, lowering her head in shame and self-loathing.
"No…no you didn't, Zoe. This…this is my fault. All of it." Artemis said lowly, knowing it's more than just sending her Hunters out to be slaughtered, it's her fault they had been attacked at all.
"At least we know where we're going if Apollo's holding up the sky." Jakob said, knowing there was only one place that fit that description, where the sky was being held up from touching the earth.
Zoe looked at him with a frown. "You intend to save Lord Apollo? You... you can't! You can't face them alone! Or the General!"
Jakob scoffed. "I'm not scared of a Titan, Nightshade."
Artemis gave him a look. "You shouldn't underestimate the General. He is second to the Crooked One in terms of power."
Jakob shook his head. "And yet he was beaten just like his master, and put under the sky. He can fight me and I'll put him back where he belongs... and I'll remove his legs to ensure he doesn't escape again."
Artemis and Zoe stared at him, not sure if he was being arrogant or really believed he could beat a Titan.
"You better get ready. The sooner we leave, the quicker we can start going to rescue your brother." Jakob said to Artemis before he turned to leave. "I'll inform the others."
"What others?" Zoe asked with a confused frown.
"He agreed to help me find Apollo on the condition that he brings the demigods he's been training along with their Satyr friend. In return, I'm to bring one Hunter with me." Artemis said. She didn't want to bring a Hunter with her, for fear of losing them like she lost five others.
"Let me come!" Zoe tried to sit up but Artemis stopped her.
"No! You need to rest!" Artemis said, refusing to almost lose Zoe for a second time.
"M'lady, I need to go! To avenge my sisters and complete the quest you gave us! If I don't help rescue Lord Apollo, then I shouldn't have survived either! Please…I must redeem myself for my failure, let me accompany you Lady Artemis." Said Zoe, needing to go on the quest and see it through to the end, no matter the outcome.
Artemis sighed, knowing how Zoe was feeling as she felt the same way, the need to avenger her Hunters, her daughters. "Zoe..." She looked at Jakob who had stopped in the doorway.
He shrugged. "If she feels she can accompany us, keep up with us, and fight then she can come. It's her choice." With that, he left.
"Please, I need to do this, Lady Artemis. And you'll be there as well, so I am confident that we will be prepared." Zoe said, making the goddess sigh in resignation.
"…You can go, but you will do everything I say!" Said Artemis, wanting to make sure she didn't lose any more Hunters than she already has.
"Understood, Lady Artemis." Zoe said nodding in response.
"Where's Andromeda?" Jakob asked with a frown once everyone had gathered at the camp's border, the Son of Thor instantly noticing the absence of the Daughter of Poseidon.
"I don't know. She should be here." Annabeth said, just as concerned as Jakob was on Andromeda's whereabouts.
"I'm afraid we can't wait any longer! We're just gonna have to hope that she'll be able to catch up with us, later." Artemis asked, preferring if they just left rather than discuss this any further or wait to see if the Daughter of Poseidon would show up.
Reluctantly, Jakob had to agree with her. "She's right. If I know her, she'll find her way to us. We should get moving."
Everyone nodded and soon left the camp#s borders, ready to begin their journey to San Franscisco, where Mount Mount Othrys was located
And I'll end it there. The quest is officially underway.
