A/N: Another thing these two have in common is dealing the pain of being seen as monsters.
Feeling the adrenaline was just too good. Taking out guards one by one. This thrill was so liberating that she felt like she was losing control.
"What the hell is that thing?!"
"SHOOT IT DOWN!"
Gunshots were heard from outside the dining area of Gus Cuisine. Negative Man signaled his goons to aim at whoever was fighting the other goons behind closed doors.
Ami Han knew this was the perfect chance to kill Martin Li so the goons would retreat, and then her team could arrest them from all outside exits. Sneaking through the hostages with her face covered, her fox ears and tail formed. She was about to pounce when the doors burst open, detached from the frames, and collapsed to the ground. Everyone stared at a pitch-black being with an athletic human woman's body. Its hood rimmed with fang designs, a tongue swaying from its abdomen, seemed to be wearing a matching punk jacket, predator claws, and glaring plain white eyes.
Is this being from the Venom symbiote's species? That cannot be possible, I was told Venom eliminated his entire alien race during their invasion on Earth. So, this one must've survived. This thing is going to screw up the plan! But I can use its dramatic appearance as a distraction.
"Hey, citizens, follow me while these criminals are distracted. Pass the message". The hostage immediately followed the order once she noticed the animal's ears and tail. As the message passed on, everyone tried to crawl as silently as possible away from the action.
The creature formed a fang formed malicious grin. "Ah, hello boys. You are this kind to let me be your true punishment?"
"What the hell is that?"
"It must be those slime aliens possessing a woman".
As the goons were murmuring in Chinese. As they were about to shoot, the female symbiote immediately used web strings to yank every gun off their hands. She pounced on a goon, webbing him. She punched another goon hard enough for his nose to bleed uncontrollably. Her 'tongue' swatted two other goons, and then she instantly choked the last goon, lifting him.
Ami was successful in escorting the hostages out of the dining area but told them to wait before they could leave the building. She returned to find the female symbiote making a Venom-like grin, revealing her triangular sharp teeth.
"STOP!" White Fox called, causing the dark figure to turn her attention to the Kumiho. She hoisted Martin Li up into the air and webbed him to the ceiling. White Fox was impressed that she did that without breaking her eye focus on the fox spirit. The unknown creature walked to the fox, who only positioned herself for battle and growled. The figure raised her arms, signaling that she wouldn't harm the Korean superhero.
She took cautious steps until she made it to her up close. Unexpectedly examining her from head to toe, and sniffing the fox. The big 'no—no' she did next was touch her arm with desire. White Fox used one hand to grip both the being's wrists together as she pulled her close, her other hand gripping the back of her neck. This was a threat that she would choke this thing if it touched her again.
Why was she letting this thing get close to her? The answer could be that she was starting to develop a liking for these strange but dangerous American heroes. This creature wasn't the first to attempt displays of infatuation towards her. It was however the first that she allowed to come near her without knowing who it was. She wasn't this trusting of unknown inhuman individuals.
Looking into its large plain white eyes, she noticed how surprised it was to be manhandled by White Fox. It was as if she didn't want to hurt her or be hurt by her. White Fox's lenses widened at how familiar the creature seemed.
No…it couldn't be. It was possible but what if it's…no!
"How did you form such long claws?" Ami asked Gwen as they sat on the rooftop of Oscorp Industries.
"It's all part of the symbiote".
"The what?"
"You're aware of Venom right?"
Ami stared at Gwen in shock. "You are a host to a parasite?! Isn't that dangerous?"
"No I'm not a host. The symbiote isn't a parasite anymore. It is now my DNA. It's a literal piece of my DNA".
"You are going to have to explain…".
Gwen sighed. "Usually Venom's species were dangerous to bond with because they eat their host's insides. This symbiote isn't as organic as the ones in this dimension. You see…this one was created in a lab. It bonded with me because that was what it was made for. It sinks under the layers of my skin into my bloodstream. This isn't a symbiote…it's me".
"Ghost Spider…" White Fox breathed with relief. She smiled at the creature who turned out to be her girlfriend. "Only you are the right combination of funny and scary".
Ghost Spider's lenses formed into upper crescents, indicating that she was flattered (and blushing under the mask). "Surprise Foxy".
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh, you know…hero-ing as usual".
"More like finding excuses to see me?"
The spider chuckled in a deep feminine monster voice. "Don't flatter yourself Vixen".
White Fox leaned in close enough for their noses to touch. "Why exactly are you 'hero-ing' here?"
"I was on patrol. And Martin Li has been up to something very bad. I am a detective by the way".
White Fox pretended to lean in for a kiss as she said. "Every outfit you're wearing is too distracting. Leave before my bosses and teammates get on my case for flirting with you…again".
"You know you're doing that right now right?"
The Kumiho took a few steps back. "This is my last warning unknown being. Leave or you will face harsh consequences!" She acted in a heroic tone.
Ghost Spider tilted her head in confusion. "What—oh! I uh…You interfered with my tyranny, hero. You will rue the day you underestimated me!" It was difficult for her to say it without laughing. White Fox struggled to fight the urge to burst out her laughter.
When the rest of Tiger Division came in they found the whole area empty (except White Fox being the only one there).
"Was Spider-Man here? No way you trapped the bad guys in a spider web", Taegukgi gasped.
"A spider was here all right, and by the fox's look of lovey-dovey, I know which one", Mr. Enigma chuckled.
"Are you sure you're not dating little miss 'Hoodie', Fox? Because ever since you two met, you've been very trusting towards her", Auntie Ante.
"Maybe she could join us?" White Fox suggested.
"No!" The members answered in unison. The Kumiho huffed at her teammates' rejection.
Ghost Spider was listening in while in camouflage mode. She crawled out the window and walked up to the rooftop. It could be a bad thing that her girlfriend's work friends noticed meaning their relationship was obvious. It could also be good as neither of the heroes wanted to keep their relationship on the low. Ami couldn't see why being open about it was bad and neither did Gwen.
As she was about to shoot a web to swing away, Ami made a fake cough at her as her head was out the window.
"I hope to see you like this more often. Your outfit makes me feel like I'm dating a bad boy".
"Gee…thanks".
"That was a compliment Ghosty, though I can be a more terrifyingly cooler monster".
"Stick to being beautiful sweetie".
When Ghost Spider swung away, White Fox whispered to herself. "You won't resist me in my monster look. I'll have to convince the tailoring department to make a spiritual seductress outfit"
The Next Day
Ghost Spider came to take down armed S.A.B.L.E soldiers who were about to eliminate the chameleon who was impersonating her. Only to find a few S.A.B.L.E soldiers retreating out of the warehouse.
That's weird, these guys aren't the type of soldiers to run away from A-list villains. It's weirder that…what the hell?
The spider had walked in to find an animal that was three times larger than any other canine mammal she had seen. Fortunately, this wasn't the first time she had seen this majestically large fox.
"Foxy? You seem bigger than the last time I saw you in this form".
The fox walked to her, its head face down so that they shared eye contact. It was silent for a bit until Ami had the feeling the spider was making a smug face.
"I was right, you can't be the opposite of beautiful, it's just impossible".
The fox huffed in annoyance as she shapeshifted into her usual woman form (ears and tail remained). "So you aren't impressed by my fox form".
"I was impressed the first time but now I'm getting used to it".
White Fox turned and walked away. Ghost Spider tried to follow her. "Aw, don't get pouty. That's supposed to be my role".
Ghost Spider wrapped her around her girlfriend's chest. "You want my honest opinion? If I was scared of you then I wouldn't be able to see the foxy girl I fell in love with".
The Kumiho turned to the spider. "I felt the same way seeing you on Venom mode. Let us go back to the apartment. I need to eat leftovers from last night's dinner".
"Okay, but I call dibs on the chicken strips".
"Not if I get there first!"
As White Fox ran off, Ghost Spider tried to catch up. "Hey! That's not how dibs work!"
A few moments later, the commander of S.A.B.L.E. entered the warehouse from the chopper's rope. "Damnit, not only is the N.I.S. trying to steal my job but now one of the arachnid menaces is helping them?!"
