A few miles away from where the battle at the warehouse had taken place, Doc Ock stood on the roof of a building with a restrained Number Six and his fellow villains. Ock held Number Six in front of him and began to question him.
"Tell me who you are, the name of the organization you work for, and the city we are currently in." Said Ock.
"You're in Charter City." Said Number Six.
"Charter City? Never heard of it." Said Ock as he looked at his allies who seemed to be in the dark as well about the city.
"Who exactly are you?" Asked Number Six.
"I am Doctor Otto Octavius renowned scientist and feared criminal mastermind sometimes referred to as Doc Ock and these are my associates Electro, Rhino, Kraven, Mysterio, Vulture, Tinkerer, Hammerhead, Shocker, Ox, and Ricochet." Said Ock.
"I have never heard of any of you." Said Number Six.
"Really, have you heard of New York City?" Said Ock.
"I have." Said Number Six.
"Interesting." Said Ock.
"So what's the deal?" Asked Electro.
"Gentlemen it appears that when the teleporter was damaged in our scuffle with Spider-Man it sent us to a different universe. Since our prisoner has no idea who any of us are, but knows what New York City is. A city we operate in, yet we are completely unknown to our prisoner. This is a a completely different universe from our own." Said Ock.
"Incredible." Said Tinkerer.
"So how do we get back to our universe?" Asked Hammerhead.
"Probably locate our prisoner's friends and use their technology to return to our universe." Said Vulture.
"Yes. This is an odd predicament were in, but it presents a golden opportunity to us." Said Ock.
"What you talking about?" Asked Rhino.
"We're in a universe and city that knows nothing about us or what we are capable of. Judging by what we've seen so far this universe has abundant advanced technology and resources up for the taking. Why not help ourselves to that before we head back to our own universe." Said Ock with a grin.
Hammerhead and the other villains caught on to what Ock was getting at and they all grinned as well.
"What about him?" Asked Hammerhead pointing to Number Six.
"Oh I think we'll keep him around, we still need some answers and he can lead us to his little friends." Said Ock.
"I'm not going to tell you anything." Said Number Six.
"Oh we can be very persuasive." Said Ock with a cold chuckle as he ripped off Number Six's mask and pointed one of his spinning saw blade claws at his face.
Number Six became very pale and nervous.
Elsewhere, Spider-Man was swinging through the streets of Charter City taking it all in. Spider-Man had no idea where he was and he had tried to use his cellphone to contact Aunt May, Gwen, Mary Jane, and Harry, but his phone wasn't working for some reason. He then thought back to his encounter with the Rook security agents who seemed to have no idea who he was and then he recalled how the teleporter machine had acted before he and the rouges found themselves in a different warehouse surrounded by strange armed guards. It didn't take long for Spider-Man to put two and two together.
"We're in a completely different universe! The teleporter must have taken us here!" Said Spider-Man to himself.
This was both big and crazy. Spider-Man needed to find and capture Ock and the other villains before they caused any sort of harm and he needed to figure out a way to return to their universe. Perhaps those strange men with the tech or some other scientists in this universe could help with the return trip. Spider-Man came across a building with a water tower on it and decided to call it a night. He made himself a web hammock and fell asleep hoping that tomorrow would be better.
To be continued.
