"So what was the project you and Samuel worked on together?" William asked as they had already entered the parking lot, heading towards his car. "It was about the similarities and differences across different cultures using astronomy to base different structures in their societies. "We specifically researched how these ancient cultures used the sky and natural cycles to map out the differences in a year. We talked about the seasonal changes, predicting the eclipses, and all these other great discoveries." "So... what you're telling me is that you did all the work, huh?" She laughed at the boy, who was wearing a paper sombrero hat. "No, he actually helped me a lot with the research. We honestly really had no issues working together and Samuel was really easy to get along with." She stated this looking back at him. Samuel smiled at her, then opened the car door for her. "Well, Antonia, I hope that at least your work is recognized and will be rewarded," the country boy was cheesing hard. Samuel carefully shut the door behind her, then shoved William away so he could get in the passenger seat. Dominic and Angelita entered the back seat from the other door and noticed that Seymour was grumbling about how they didn't know how to control their hormones. She had noticed that Dominic was gripping her skirt and decided not to say anything. Once they all got settled in, Angelita gently lifted Antonia's arm up, gently putting her wallet back in the pocket of her jacket. She had readjusted it and zipped it closed. William got in the car and faced the group, "So do y'all want something sweet?" "WE JUST ATE," explained the group.
Antonia laughed hysterically, as this reminded her of Garfield. Every time she went out to eat with Richard's friends, Garfield tried to convince the group to get vegan ice cream after every single meal. It didn't matter if they hadn't gotten several pizzas, hamburgers, or even nice salads. He was always trying to get something to satisfy his sweet tooth. "I think I'll pass, love." "We gotta drop her off mate," Samuel elbowed William as he started the car. Her house was far from where they were, and they didn't mind the drive.
The group continued asking more questions about the project, including questions about her personal life. "Damn ma, you do live in the rich side of town." Seymour looked out the window to see all the large houses covered in beautiful Christmas lights. The neighborhood they had just pulled into looked very drastic from their own homes. Dominic was practically glued to the window as he shoved Seymour to get a better glance. At the end of the street, a metal gate appeared. "Oh, 0562 is the entry code." William pressed the buttons and they were granted access. In this part of the neighborhood, it had less houses and a lot more open property. "Toni? Is it true that you have an indoor and an outdoor pool?" Angelita asked Antonia, as she was visibly curious to know the answer. Antonia softly chuckled, "Yes, we have both. Perhaps I don't really have an opinion on which one I like more."
The carapproached a large entrance that had the letter "M." William then pulled into the entrance of her house and parked the car. "I really appreciate the ride and the food, William, it was really sweet." She had slightly leaned forward and unbuckled her seat belt. "No problem doll face, I'm just glad you can join us. Maybe Samuel can bring you to- Oh darling I can't take that." Antonia pulled out a $20 dollar bill from her wallet. "Here! You drove me and invited me out. It's the least I can do." Samuel had left the car to open the trunk and get her backpack. "Here!" Antonia pushed themoney in his hand and he avoided the offer. She then grabbed onto his shirt and stuffed it into his pocket. Seymour quickly leaned into William, "I'll take it if you don't want it." and gently squeezed Antonia and Samuel opened the door for her, "Bye beautiful, I'll see you around school." "Bye. I had fun," the girl said, she smiled and waved goodbye. Dominique and Seymour waved back as Samuel handed her backpack. They walked to the door and Antonio looked at him smiling, "Your friends are funny." "Yeah, well, I basically live with them. So that was just them beingreallynice." She took out her keys, "Thanks for everything... although you didn't have to pay for my dinner." Samuel smiled, "No keep me updated when he submits our grade? And if you want..." He tilted his head to the side and began kicking the ground with his heel, "You can hang out with us anytime you'd like." Samuel's face began to turn red as she put the key in to open the door. "You guys be safe," said the girl. She turned back and went in for a hug. Samuel was stunned. He wasn't expecting her to go in for a hug, but he gently set his hand behind her head. He placed his other hand on herback. She didn't know why she did it. There wasn't any reason to give him a hug, but maybe it was because she knew that Samuel wasn't as bad as everyone said he was. She noticed that he had been a little bit more reserved in this moment when they have been together. although she knew he had gotten into many fights and did not hide his opinions, He was actually very calm when it came to people he enjoyed being around. There was just something different about him that she liked and wanted to see if he was really like this all the time. "I know you live on the other side of town, so please text me when you get home, okay?" She let go of him before he did and smiled. "I will."
He watched her get inside the house before walking back to the car. Samuel opened the door and was greeted by his friends who were moaning and grunting. "Oh, for fucks sake!" Angelita laughed trying to get the boys to quit teasing him. They decided that they were all gonna have the group hang out at Samuels Place since his mom was working the night shift. Seymour texted the group chat to have everyone meet up in about an hour. Right when they got to their apartment, Angel hugged him. "Thank you for being the mature one, love." She looked at him, giving him a mischievous smile. She softly whispered to him so the other twowouldn't hear, "You know what I've heard from the other girls in class say? She can really suck you off." She left, running away towards Dominic, leaving Samuel standing in the entrance of the apartment in shock.
Jonathan looked at his best friend.
"So, she hugged you?"
"Yeah, but it wasn't just any hug. It was out of nowhere and I didn't know what to do."
William stood up straight from the bean bag.
"Well, it seemed more than just a thank you," Johnathan rolled his eyes.
"Nooo..."
Jonathan and Samuel went back and forth. "I think our friend here has a crush on little ol' Toni." William took a sip of his Dr. Pepper while Samuel was leaning on his dresser. "Well, from what we know, she's a very rich girl. She is also single and really pretty. What we also know is that she enjoys getting the attention that she gets." Baran then added, "ANDshe has lots of money." Jonathan scoffed at his snarky comment. "Well... If you'd like, maybe suggest over a little while that you want to maybe sleep with her if that's the case? I mean, you've done it before. She's probably wanting to get with you, and you don't even know it." Jonathan stretched, as Samuel thought to himself. Maybe these were just feelings that were collected since they had been working a lot together. "I mean, it's not like I would not want to sleep with her. I mean I have heard she's been with other guys but..." "But what? Why are you being so delicate with her?" "I don't know, Jonathan! She just seems different." Seymour looked at his friends, "To be fair, Samuelhas approached girls who are known to be open about who they associate with. You know? They choose to lack that type of security with their personal business. Antonia, on the other hand, seems to know if she wants a serious relationship or not. What we know is just a bunch of random rumors from people we don't know. She also just doesn't seem like the type of girl who sleeps around with the guys." "Ugh, see? The mate gets it," Samuel gestured towards the boy cleaning his chunky glasses.
William then commented, "I think if Samuel wants to try to get with Toni then he should. If it becomes a relationship, then good for him. But if it doesn't, let's just hope he just wraps it up." Dominic snicked, "Oh speaking of relationships, I ran out of condoms. So can I get one or two from you guys?" Samuel chucked a box at his friend that he pulled out of the drawer. "My men should always stay strapped," William chucked. Dominic shot him a nasty look and Johnathan pinched the space above his nose. "Not to be rude, but I think you're wasting your time," Jade leaned against the wall. "What the hell are you doing here?" Samuel was questioning how the girl entered his apartment. "Angel invited me," she said in a cunning voice. He looked at Dominic, who also shared the same annoyed expression as him. "So coming from a girl's perspective, she's just kissing me your ass to tolerate yo-" "HEY! You're not a part of this so leave," Johnathan cut the girl off. He couldn't stand Jade and her way to make people fell conflicted about issues she had no opinion stating in. "I need you to leave if you're going to be doing all that nail crap." Manual frowned as he looked at Jade, wiping her nail polish away. The smell of acetone started to sting their noses. "Jade, you're the last person I would ask for relationship advice." Samuel turned away from her, facing Jonathan. "To be fair, you started complaining and asking for advice so didn't expect everyone to sugarcoat things for you." Samuel looked down at the floor. He really didn't know why all of a sudden he cared about her. Maybe he was just feeling overwhelmed about the whole situation. "Fine, ignore me then. So, what if she does like you? She'll probably run off to whatever rich guy she'll find eventually. But if you happen to get lucky and she sucks you off, then good for you. Be my guest! Don't expect her to wrap her arms around you and call you her 'sa shallow daddy's girl that's materialistic. Before you even know it should stop talking to you after the project is graded." Samuel's face was now a bright red. "I know girls are supposed to be the emotional ones but don't expect her to get attached to you if you guys fu-" "JADE. We get it. Now get out." Williams's thick country accent echoed throughout Samuel's room. "What? I can't say the truth is she probably gets around and will ditch him?" "Just leave." Samuel's rough voice was now soft. Dominic got off the bed and went over to close the door.
The room was quiet for a minute as Samuel tried to calm down. He became extremely frustrated when Jade decided to give her personal input on the situation even though she was not part of their conversation. Samuel crossed his arms and looked up at his friends that were already making eye contact with him. "Just give it a try," said Jonathan. "The worst thing that could happen is that if she just decided not to talk to you anymore after the project." "Or she'll say no. But I doubt it." Seymour looked at him before slapping Dominic's hands that were making inappropriate gestures. "Today I could tell she's got a thing for you," William cracked open another Dr. Pepper. "I think the product had you twoworked up. Take the Thanksgiving break to get some space and clear your head." Samuel nodded and walked over to his bed. He lay down next to his friends. "Yeah, think about your head," Jonathan chuckled. "Because I heard she can really suck you off." The boys began laughing and snickering at the punk. Samuel closed his eyes, hands over his face, to hide the grin that was lurking to be exposed.
