Author's note.
Now, it's time to start the content from 'Deep Sleep'. Now, I just want to point out a few things. I know that Ben killed Zs'Skayr, but, he didn't get crushed by a grinder and gushed out blood. Plus, Ben's a literal child, he's allowed to be scared. Now, it's time to start 'Deep Sleep', secrets will be revealed, fates will change and new characters revealed. Chapter 7
Aftermath of the crash.
Ben's eyes slowly opened. When he did, he saw that he, Max and Gwen were being dragged by something. It had large paws and purple fur covering it. It then opened a hatch, and dropped them inside. However, Ben caught sight of who had carried them; some kind of cat. When they hit the floor, this woke up Gwen and Max.
"What happened?" Groaned Max as he sat up.
"My head" groaned Gwen.
"You guys alright?" Asked Ben.
"We're fine" answered Max.
"Where are we?" wondered Gwen.
They then heard an alarm and the walls were moving.
"We're in a trash compactor!" Shouted Ben out of terror. Gwen then created her levitation pad.
"Hop on" said Gwen. They then levitated off the ground, just in time.
"That was close" sighed Max.
"Where are we?" Wondered Ben.
"It looks like we're in another part of the factory" answered Gwen.
"Then I suggest we get moving", said Max. "There could be more of those things out there". They made their way through the new area of the factory and went through a red door. Upon opening it, they discovered pistons pumping up and down, over what looked a sea of red smoke.
"Well, that's not good" said Ben.
"If we fall into that, no telling what's gonna happen" added Gwen.
"How many times could you use that levitation spell?" Asked Max.
"I think one more time" answered Gwen. She created a pink circle and they all traveled on it across the the area with the red smoke. Gwen lost her concentration and crashed onto the other side.
"Ow" groaned Ben as he stood up. He then saw a purple tail go up into the vent.
"What was that?" He said to himself. Max then kicked the door down.
"Follow me" he said. As they walked through the hallways, the lights flickered and broken toys laid everywhere. They eventually made their way into a new room, where they saw a large hatch and a destroyed TV.
"That must be where we got dropped down into?" Said Gwen.
"We need to get out of here before that giant cat thing comes back" said Ben. Max then found a large battery on the floor. He then picked it up and saw a large slot where a battery could go.
"I think we need these" said Max. He then shoved the battery into the slot. But, there was still one slot opened. Max found another one underneath a table and placed it into the slot. He then used the blue hand on the grab pack to turn on the scanner and opened the door. They then heard the sound of a phone ringing.
"Does anyone else hear a phone ring?" Asked Ben.
They then made their was up to an office area, where they saw a phone on the wall, ringing.
"Who's gonna answer it?" Asked Ben. Max walked up to it and picked it up.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Hey, can you hear me?", asked a child-like voice on the other end. "You look kinda lost".
"That's the understatement of the decade" said Ben.
"Well, I don't want you die, so", said the voice. "I'm gonna help you".
"Help us how?" Asked Max.
"Look at the tube thing on the back wall" said the voice.
All three of them looked to the tube on the back wall.
"Ready?" Asked the voice. A battery then fell through the tube and into the room.
"Ba-boom", said the voice. "You can use that battery to open the door". Ben, Gwen and Max looked at each other.
"I don't know why, but", said Ben. "I don't trust this guy".
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but Ben has a point", said Gwen. "This guy literally just called us out of nowhere an then decides to help".
"I don't see any other choice" said Max. He then slotted the battery into the slot and the door opened.
"Let's move" said Max. The three of them then walked out of the room and close to the Playtime Co Railway line, where the train laid wrecked.
"Whoa, did you do that?" Asked the voice.
"Not intentionally" answered Gwen.
"I'm guessing that's where Catnap found you" said the voice.
"Catnap?" Asked Gwen.
"That big, purple cat we saw go through the vents" answered Ben.
"I know you're probably still confused by all this,", said the voice. "But Poppy needs you, WE need you. You are our mission. Together, we can save a lot of people, including all three of you. Playcare is straight ahead. It's the home of Catnap…one of…. 'The Smiling Critters'. There used to be, 8 of them, I think? Now it's just him".
"I'm not liking where this is going" said Ben.
"Playcare is his church", said the voice. "His hunting ground. Whatever he wants it to be". Ben was now getting nervous. Church? Hunting Ground? THAT sounded like a cult.
"You better get moving quickly", said the voice. "We'll keep in touch. Oh, and by the way, my name is Ollie, nice to meet you". Ollie then hung up. Max then put the phone on his belt.
"I guess we know where we're going" said Gwen.
"Then we follow the tracks" said Max. They then followed the tracks on the floor.
