While the group tried to figure out what was going on the pilot in the airship once again called out on the loudspeaker "We have you surrounded 857706!"
Miko glares at Ruby and yells "See Ruby! Look what you did!"
"I didn't do anything!" Ruby screams out scared "Miko I promise you I didn't steal anything! It's like I told you guys the chip was just lying there and there wasn't anyone around!"
"None of that matter now Ruby…!" Miko began but Blaze got between them and stops Miko
Blaze once Miko calmed walks over to her runner and said "It's going to be alright"
Miko takes a deep breath and calmly asked "So what can we do?"
"There isn't anything we can do" Bulkhead said and explained "That mark is like a homing device, it sends a signal all the way to Security." Ruby still afraid as she touches her mark.
Blaze said as she types on her computer "Don't worry, I have that covered." she then presses enter and the computer begins to send out something from the Runner
On the airship the pilot (who looks like clone phase 2 pilots the version warthog and hawks wore) looks to his tracking radar and gasps as it begins to get scrambled and he reports in "The signal! It's been compromised!"
It turns out Blaze had sent out a jamming signal meaning Republic Security couldn't track them with Ruby's mark but Blaze wasn't done as she gets on her runner.
"I bought you guys a couple of minutes" She said as she takes her helmet from Ruby and puts it on.
"and where missy do you think you're going?!" Miko asked concerned
Blaze points down East saying "You four take the East tunnel..." She then looks ahead as he presses a button on the helmet to put it's eye visor down before saying "I'm going to give this chip a test drive"
She then revs the Runner and drives off down the West Tunnel as the others watched. Miko said as she drove off "You heard the cat, let's go."
The others nod and head off. Blaze meanwhile drives up the stairs up out of the old subway and goes down the road, what she didn't see was that a Republic Security car and a black and yellow hover Duel Runner was waiting and see her.
The rider of the runner was a larch figure where black Republic Security marked armer uniform with a black helmet, notible from this was he had three fingers.
He grins and said "This Intel was perfect!" He then gets on the comms saying "Central, the prize is in my sights! Lock on to my signal" He then drives his runner down the road after Blaze the car and airship pursuing behind him.
Blaze notices when the spotlight from the airship goes over her and she thinks to herself 'Chaos, I didn't think they would be on me this fast!'
"You on the runner!" The black armoured figure calls out on the loud speaker of his helmet to Blaze "Pull over right now! There is no hope of escape!"
Blaze rides along the streets before turning into an old abandoned factory losing the Airship and skids her ride to a stop. The Republic Security pursuers stop and get off or out of there rides.
The black armoured officer unlatches his helmet and removes it revealing a while like head with blue eyes, he was Captain Gantu, a well known officer in the Republic Security despite his rank he prefers to be out on the streets patrolling.
He glares at Blaze and said "Remember me Blaze? It's been a while since the centre, I'll thank Predaking for setting up this little reunion" the figure laughs as one of the Republic Security officers (white armour with orange highlights) stands beside him "Predaking said with the right bait, Ruby would lead us right to you. I knew all along we should have locked you up when you were a kitten! Looks like I finally get my wish and with you and Ruby off to The Irongate, Predaking will have one less thing to worry about." Once he was down with his speech he smirks and asked "Now tell me, are you going to make this easy and come quietly?"
Now Blaze remembers Gantu, he had a bit of an ego on him and likes to prove how great he is, which means he always will try to do anything to get up the chain of command. So she just said "I will, if you can beat me."
Gantu realizes what she is asking laughs and said "I see you still think your fire can out duel Republic Security, too bad the rules state you Solians can't have cards"
This rule was made a few years ago to handle the growing problem of duel gangs that were causing problems on Sol, however it was one no easily handled as Blaze proved holding up her deck saying "Rules were made to be broken...weren't they?" She puts the deck in the arm deck holder and looks to Gantu saying "Now if I win this duel, Ruby and I go free, no questions asked Gantu"
The Trooper next to Gantu then speaks up saying "The law does not negotiate with…!" however Gantu stops him holding out his arm
Gantu was grinning seeing something coming from this and asked Blaze "and what's in it for me if I were to accept this proposal?"
The trooper shocked said "But article 4B clearly states that..."
Gantu cuts him off again and said "Well let me state this trooper, get moving or else"
"Captain, this is highly improper procedure!" The trooper told him
Gantu glares at him and said "I said move! Or would you like to work the trash detail back at the HQ?"
The trooper clearly getting it and scared hurries back to the car where his partner was and said to him and in the comms "Back to command central everyone! Direct orders!"
The two wait till the other Republic Security officers were gone and Blaze answers Gantu's question "Well, if you accept and win the duel, you'll tell Republic Security to call off the hunt for Ruby."
Gantu confused asked "and how will that benefit me?"
"Cause I will admit that it was me who stole the chip and I tried to flee the scene but couldn't outrun your pursuit. A confession like that might bump you up to Deputy Commander." Blaze tells him before looking away and asking "So what do you say Captain?"
Gantu laughs and goes to his runner and gets on "You got yourself a deal, fool" He puts his helmet back on and latches it on.
The two line up there runners side by side. Gantu said as Blaze puts the visor of her helmet down again "Here we go, I'll engage the Speed World field spell" He presses a button on his runner and both runners engage Speed World.
"Duel mode enganged" The computer voiced as the runner's attached duel disc emerges on both runners and the screen changes to a layout duel map "Autopilot standing by"
Both get 4000 lp and the world around them engage in a starry like feature and now ready both of them say "Let's ride!" and both speed off down the pathway leading into the factory.
As they rolled down the pathway both drew the initial starting five cards for there hand putting them into a slot card holder to look at them when they are driving.
Gantu smirks as he goes and draws a card as he says "I can't way to finally put you away" He then plays the card which was a monster that looked like a dog in armer with two machine guns attached it was in attack mode it had 1200 Attack points "And my Assault dog is going to help make sure of it!" he then places another card saying "With it on the field I place another card face down and end my turn."
Blaze nods and draws a card "It's my turn then" She looks at the card it was one of her oldest and she sees her speed counter go up to 1 and says "and with the power of my speed counter I can summon up...Speed Warrior!" her monster comes out a gray armored figure with rollar blades on his feet with 900 attack points
Gantu seeing the comparison of Attack points smirks and said "You know I thought you were good at math but it seems you're not, I mean come on that monster's attack points are less then mine so why bother summoning him out?" However his smirk was wiped when suddenly Speed Warrior glows with a blue aura and his attack points double to 1800 shocking the captain "Hey! Why did his attack points just double?!"
Blaze rolling beside him said "I recall you were the bottom of your class at the academy, I think I see why now"
Gantu just glares at her and said "Such a smart mouth cat as ever I see, I expected nothing less"
Blaze glares and said "Well did you expect my Speed Warrior to take out your Assault Dog!" Her monster begins to attack
The two monsters fought Assualt Dog tring to shoot the warrior dodges and does an upside down spin kick "Go Hypersonic Slash!" Assult Dog gets kick hard and destroyed.
Gantu growls his life points reduced 3400 and he said "You always were a know it all" He then smirks adding "Well I am about to teach you a brand new lesson Blaze" suddenly Assault Dog returns onto the field surprising Blaze slightly as Gantu explained "See when Assault Dog is sent to the graveyard due to an attack, I can summon another one to take it's place"
"I see you are still using the same all deck" Blaze said as she place a card down "I play a face down and end my turn" as she said this Speed Warrior powers down returning to his normal 900 attack points.
The two reach a T-junction and make a turn left while Gantu said taking his turn "and now that your Speed Warrior's attack points are halved..." his Assult Dog glows white and begins to peel away being sacrifaced as he continues "I release my Assult Dog from play to bring out...Handcuffs Dragon!"
The creature looks like a living pair of cuffs as Gantu asked "Here's a math question for you, with 1800 attack points, your Speed Warrior is about to get subtracted from the playing field!" He motions for it to attack
Blaze determined said "Not if I play my face down Scrap Iron Scarecrow!" The card plays and a poorly scrap made scarecrow blocks the path between Speed Warrior and the dragon.
Gantu growls as Blaze explained "With this, I can absorb your dragon's attack and save my Speed Warrior!"
Gantu chuckles and counters "Don't you mean that would have happened if not for...the Wire Trap trap card!" He plays his face down surprising Blaze but she doesn't show it.
'Come on Blaze, snap out of it and focus! You can't let this stupid head push you around!' Blaze thinks to herself angry that she was countered
After the scraecrow fades away Handcuffs Dragon attack crushing Speed Warrior with it's cuff like jaw while Gantu said "Dragon! Take out his monster!" Speed Warrior explodes destroyed and Blaze's life points go down to 3100.
Both riders pass each other as Gantu is going in the opposite direction now. Gantu smirking triumphcally while taunting "Your deck is made of cards that others threw away and no matter how you make it or patch it up trash is still trash!"
Blaze turns a180 to continue following Gantu while shrugging of what he said and then goes "It's my turn! I summon Sonic Chick in defence mode!" he summons a small bing bird in red boots who goes into defense turning her a shade of blue. She had 300 defense points. "Then I play two cards face down and end my turn!"
Gantu laughs and said "Just like a Solian to hide behind junk! Well I'll flush you out!" he draws a card and smirks at what he got as he said while inserting three monster card into his graveyard slot "1, 2, 3! Hahahaha! Now by sending those three to my graveyard I can special summon Montage Dragon to the field!
The card shoot out three colour lights and form a large three headed blue and white dragon with 3000 attack points. Gantu proud saying "and with a powerful beast like him on the field it's only a matter of time before this duel is over and I get to turn you in!"
The Onboard AI tutorial comes on showing Montage Dragon's card and explained "Montage Dragon's attack points are equel to the total level of the monsters sent to the graveyard multiplied by 300"
Blaze's helmet visor showed her the monsters attack points and actually impressed she said "Quite the beast that is Gantu"
"Oh really, well that's nothing wait till you see it in action!" Gantu said confident "But first, my Handcuff's Dragon is taking out your Sonic Chick!" said monster attacks and squeezes the poor bird till it was destroyed but Blaze doesn't lose any life points due to it in defence mode but Blaze was still upset by it
Gantu skids to get a good view of this and said "and with her out of the picture, I am just one attack away from putting you away for good!" Montage Dragon prepares to fire from all three heads "Go Power Collage!" Gantu orders and the dragon open fires
Blaze gets hit and grunts as she nearly loses control of her runner and her life points go all the way down to 100 and her speed counters go down to 1
Blaze seeing this looks to Gantu and said "You may have knocked me down but it'll take more then that to knock my fire out!"
The two make another turn at a T Junction and Gantu brags "There is no card in your deck that is strong enough to beat me now!"
Blaze thinks to herself 'He's right, but I have never relied on only one card before...' she reaches to draw a card 'and I don't plan on starting now.' she prepares to draw the card believing in her deck to give her the card she needs to win this duel.
