We come back to Sol a few days later, Blaze was testing her duel runner down the old subway tunnels again to ensure the Runner with the new Chaosline chip she got works perfectly.
She thinks to herself as she drove 'You beat me once Predaking, but I learned my lesson.'
We then see a flashback taking place over a few years ago in the middle of a duel between Predaking and Blaze while Miko, Bulkhead, Ruby and Nefarious watched.
On the field Blaze had her Junk Warrior out while Predaking had a creepy creature with a skull where it stomach would be known as Mad Archfiend out.
"You'll never win this duel Blaze!" Predaking calls out to him
Blaze looks serious and said "You sure are sure of yourself!"
Predaking smirks before saying "Just sure...that I'm going to beat you! Blaze bring it on!"
Blaze grits her teeth at that and said "You got it Predaking! Junk Warrior send him to the scrapeheap!" However as Junk Warrior charges in chains suddenly fly in and bind Blaze's monster shocking it and surprising Blaze as she sees Preadaking grinning and asks "What is this?!"
"My trap, Shadow Spell!" Predaking explained "and with this I will finally put an end to your unbeaten streak Blaze! Now Mad Archfiend attack!"
The monster obays chewing up the skill and firing the shards at Junk Warrior destroying it and reducing Blaze Lifepoints to zero
Blaze shocked in disbelief falls to her knees saying "How did I let this happen?" smoke emits from her hands and fire appears as she slams it into the ground
The rest of her friends were just as surprised at this, since knowing Blaze they knew it was hard for her to lose to anyone and Ruby asked "Did she just lose?"
"She did Ruby and do you know why our friend lost?" Predaking said as he moves to stand over the purple cat who looks up at him angry as he answered his own question "It's because her deck has no balance and without balance one can't be a complete dualist. But you are already aware of that aren't you Blaze?"
Blaze had no words as she looks up at the Predacon.
We come back to the present but in New Station Square we go to a penthouse in an apartment complex, this is Preadaking's home which comes with not only the best things money can buy but also his own personal duel runner track for him to practise on.
He was looking out at the ocean holding a single card, we can now see he has what looks to be a mark on his right arm of what appear to be wings.
The predacon thinks to himself 'Ahhh, now this is the view truly fit for someone of my importance, even if I did have to betray a few friends to get it' he scoffs as he continues to think 'and to think it was only a few years ago I was living among the peasants and garbage of Sol. Heh, I am glad that is over and done with now.'
Predaking looks at the card in his had, a white dragon with blue spots, yellow eyes and feather like wings. He thinks 'Hmmm, Stardust Dragon, I wonder if Blaze still misses you?'
"Quite the view, isn't it Predaking?" A voice said, this belonged to a gray skinned lizardman with black hair that is neatly combed, yellow eyes and wearing a black suit with a red tie and black gloves.
He was Toffee, the Director of Republic Security and the person who Predaking has to thank for getting him out of Sol and hiding the truth of where Predaking came from.
Toffee then asks the Predacon "Are you still thinking about your days in Sol?"
Predaking says sternly "I'm done thinking about the dump Toffee" through his answer was a bit of a lie he was thinking about Sol but more on the fact of whether Blaze cared about her card still and how he betrayed his former friend.
"That is good Predaking" Toffee said with a nod and adds "Because Dwelling on the past could cost you your future, and we have worked to hard to let that happen. Now how about you put all that focus on your match this evening."
Predaking tosses the Stardust card into his deck it sliding in perfectly without disturbing any of the other cards but it wasn't straight but still surprised Toffee.
The Predacon then said "I am perfectly focused Toffee, you won't have to worry about me dwelling on the past. Cause if I had my way I would see Sol burned to the ground and completely destroyed."
"I understand how you feel Predaking." Toffee said with a simple bow but then explained "But Sol plays a valuable roll in our society." We go to Sol during this and we see several Solians working in a recycling plant including Miko, Bulkhead and Nefarious.
Toffee continues "Everyone has been given a role in life, those from Sol exist so that the chosen can prosper. They keep our city functioning by recycling what the chosen discard. Without Sol, New Station Square couldn't exist. Is it a glamorous role? No it isn't, but is it necessary? Yes it is for our survival."
We come back to Predaking's apartment as Toffee finishes saying "But you already know all about this don't you Predaking? How foolish of me to give a history lesson to someone who already experienced it all first hand. Now I say you should leave all your memories of that place where they belong, it is time for you to make new ones."
"You're right..." Predaking said looking down but his marked arm shakes a bit as he says "But what if my past comes looking for me?"
We come back to Sol in the abandoned subway system, we see Ruby standing by the base of her and her friends looking down the tunnel holding a stop watch. She was timing Blaze and was waiting for her to come round fishing the lap
Blaze does soom past and Ruby covers herself from the dust while Ruby stops the watch and the cat breaks. Ruby looks at the watch and gasps in amazement and smiles running to show Blaze.
Blaze's tires on her runner were smoking but other then that it was okay. Ruby runs up saying "Blaze! This is your best time yet!" She shows Blaze the time who lifts her visor, she then asks "Do you think it will be fast enough to get you to New Station Square?"
"It has to be" Blaze said simply not hundred percent sure but wants it to work
"I just know it's going to work, I know it!" Ruby said cheering for
"I do hope you're right Ruby" Blaze said with a nod and puts her visor down saying "Time me again" She then zooms down the tunnel again for another lap while Ruby starts the watch again and smiles watching her go.
We come back to Predaking's apartment with Toffee reassuring him "Predaking you are a part of New Station Square now, the only link you have to Sol now is Blaze the Cat. And you can rest assured we're taking every precaustion to keep that link buried."
Predaking looks on serious not to sure and asked "Did Commander Nebula get my message on what is to be done with the officer who messed up our trap?"
"Yes, he wasn't thrilled but I reassured him you felt Blaze had a bigger advantage over him so he is supplying something special for Gantu" Toffee said "But I have said that this would be Gantu's last chance in this operation concerning your old friend"
"Good" Predaking said nodding as he looks serious.
