"I see... so the other spirits disappeared and you two were left behind." Dysnomia thought aloud, "Where were you guys when it happened?"

Aeon spoke first, "Well, we were visiting the planets-"

Dysnomia quirked an eyebrow, "Visiting?"

"There's the Ethereal and then there's the Physical plane. Both planes are separate from each other." Aeon explained.

Cura drew two imaginary boxes with her fingers before drawing a circle in between, "Think of it as two squares- one for the Ethereal plane, and the other is this- the Physical plane. The circle represents a way to get access to the other plane and as long as there's a circle, the two places are connected."

"And... what if there was no 'circle'?" Dysnomia asked.

Aeon winced, "Uh, well... the Sun represents the circle, so if there were no Sun, most of you would be dead or adrift somewhere in the Milky Way."

"Huh, and how do you guys know all this?"

"It was all hypo- hypo... hypoth-" Cura whined, giving up on the pronunciation of the word, "Ugh, Miss Theia came up with the theory!"

"Miss Theia...?"

Aeon jumped up, "Yeah, she's very nice!"

Cura grinned, "And kind!"

"She's the bestest Celestial ever!"

"Is that even a word?"

"It is now!"

Dysnomia observed the two childlike Celestites, smiling slightly. This reminded her of when she was newly formed, waking up and finding herself orbiting another celestial body. She would never forget that moment when Eris first looked at her, her eyes wide in shock and awe.

"You... you're finally awake."

It came out as a whisper, but to Dysnomia, it was louder than she could've imagined. The charcoal moon stared up at Eris with curiosity shining in her eyes.

Eris hummed as she smiled gently, "I'm going to call you... Dysnomia."

"Dys... Dys... Dysnom...ia!" The charcoal moon stuttered, beaming at being given an actual name. It represented her- it was her! She was Dysnomia...! She was Eris' only moon!

"Right! Dys-nom-ia!" Eris bobbed up and down in approval, knitting her brows as she looked at her moon softly, "From now on, it'll be me and you... I promise to take good care of you, little one."

Dysnomia gaped in admiration, eyes filling with stars as she looked at the other celestial body. She wanted to be just like her. She wanted to make Eris proud to have a moon like her.

But as time changed, so did Eris.

Something had happened. Eris knew something that Dysnomia didn't, and no matter how many times the Celestite asked, the response was always the same.

Except for one time...

Dysnomia blamed herself. It was her fault for being so stubborn.

Subconsciously, Dysnomia traced the faint scars that were etched under her right eye.

She could still feel the pain- a numbing and tingling sensation coursing through her surface right where the marks were. Ever since she's had the injury, her vision has been slightly distorted. She could still see out of it, but not very well.

Eris was most likely ashamed of having a moon like Dysnomia. Once she had seen the injury, her face twisted into horror. She had immediately turned away, never looking Dysnomia's way ever again.

They had grown further and further apart until one day when they were split up.

"E-Eris...? Eris!?" Dysnomia called for her planet to no avail.

A force so large had ended up dragging Dysnomia with it, causing her to be separated from Eris.

Dysnomia could feel tears in her eyes as she called out once more, "Eris?"

The tears fell as she gazed at the passing asteroids.

"Mom...?"

"...mia? Miss Dysnomia? Hello?"

Dysnomia blinked, realizing she had been in her thoughts for more than a few minutes. Cura and Aeon looked at her, eyes curious and laced with concern.

"Oh, sorry... I was just thinking." Dysnomia spoke, self-consciously pulling her bangs over her right eye, covering up the scar again.

"What about?" Cura questioned.

"Oh, you know... just my parent planet. It feels like I haven't spoken to her in ages when really it's only been a few... years, more or less."

Aeon's eyes widened in shock, "Years!? I can't imagine being alone for that long!"

Cura knitted her brows, "Is that why you seem so... detached? You've been alone all this time?"

Dysnomia didn't know whether to be offended or grateful. On one hand, they implied she was cold and apathetic, but on the other, they seemed to care about her well-being despite having met moments ago.

She chose to bypass the first question, responding to the second instead: "I haven't been alone, at least not for very long... I was with the other moons of Pluto."

"Other moons of Pluto?" Aeon echoed.

Cura gasped, floating forward, "You mean there are others who haven't disappeared and/or are in a deep sleep?"

"Wait- disappeared? Deep sleep?"

Cura nodded, "Yeah, when we realized the other spirits were gone, we tried to find out what happened-"

Aeon continued, "Only to realize the planets were asleep!"

"There was something I noticed, though... the small moons were the only ones awake."

"But since they can't see or hear us, we decided to move on and try to find the others."

"Did you try checking the other plane? Or whatever?" Dysnomia asked, trying to piece things together in her head.

"That's the first place we checked! They weren't there either..."

"Speaking of," Cura observed the charcoal Celestite, "How come you aren't in a deep sleep? You're the biggest moon we've come across who's not in a coma."

"Yeah! You're probably bigger than... what's his name? Ensalada...? He's one of Saturn's moons."

Dysnomia chuckled, "Enceladus, and yeah, I'm definitely bigger than him. He's five hundred four diameters while I'm seven hundred diameters."

"Woah, that's a big gap!"

"I wonder why you aren't sleeping...?"

Dysnomia shrugged, "Who knows? It's probably for the best, anyway. This means I can look out for you two and the others when we find them."

"Dysnomia...!" A shrill voice exclaimed as a silver figure popped out from the asteroids.

Dysnomia sighed, "Speaking of..."

"Wait for us, Hydra!" Another voice called.

"Who are they...?" Aeon uttered.

"No idea, but one thing's for sure..." Cura analyzed the four newcomers, "They sure are small..."

"No kidding..."

"Who were you talking to, Miss Dysnomia?" A moon with a scarred surface questioned, eyes scanning the area.

"Oh, I was just talking to..." Dysnomia glanced at the two spirits, "Myself...? I guess?"

The grey Celestite squinted her eyes, almost as if she was analyzing what the other was thinking. She frowned, "If you say so..."

Dysnomia smiled stiffly, drifting away, "Come on, we should keep moving and try to find the dwarf planets."

"But we already found them!" A white Celestite spoke.

"Really? Wh-?"

"Where did they go?" A hushed voice asked.

"Little moons! Where are you, little guys?" A separate one called.

Dysnomia floated forward, all six senses ready for anything, "Hey! Who-?"

A yelp, "Ah!"

"O-Oi! Get off of me, Orcus!"

"S-Sorry, Salacia...!"

'Those names... they're familiar.' Dysnomia thought.

An asteroid was pushed out of the way by a red dwarf Celestial. She jumped upon seeing Dysnomia before her before relaxing when spotting the little Celestites. She peered over her shoulder, yelling, "I found them, guys!"

'Please work, please work, please work...'

Hands hovered over the pale blue Novae as electricity sparked from it.

'Come on...'

He grunted, using his hands to discharge a shockwave at his Novae, causing it to spin out of control.

"Reverse praeterita, reverse quod factum est ad amicum meum, reverse quod factum est, et emenda." He uttered, repeating the phrase a few times until-

CRACK- BWOOSH-SHOOSH-SHOOSH!

The beam of electricity was too much for him to control, causing it to explode in his face and divert everywhere. He yelped, covering his head as it nearly blasted him. The beam faded once the electricity ran out, causing him to sigh in exasperation.

"I was sure that would work..."

He took his Novae into his hands, rubbing a thumb over one of the eight points.

"When will he wake up...?" He frowned, his eyes glossing over, "Please be alright, Neptune; for both of our sakes."

"You really care about this Neptune, don't you?" A voice asked, prompting the Novae to whip around.

"Who goes there? How did you enter this space!?"

"Calm down." A deep blue figure emerged from the shadows, "I'm not here to harm you."

"You're... an Aether? What's someone like you doing in Novae territory?"

"I-I... I have no idea." They shrugged, "But I have a feeling... this is the right thing to do."

The Novae froze, eyes going wide as he analyzed the Aether before him. This Aether was a deep blue, a stark contrast in comparison to the Novae's pale shades of blue.

"I mean, you must've gone through something similar, right?"

"What...?"

"You used to be an Aether, right...? You're Messier, aren't you?"

The Novae inhaled sharply, furrowing his brows and glaring at the other. He summoned his yari before getting into a defensive position, "You- how do you know that? Who told you?"

Only a select few knew, and Messier didn't care for any of them. This was one of the reasons he fled to another solar system.

"...It was Mage."

Messier felt a pain in his chest, and his breath was knocked out of him. The yari he held seemed to weigh him down. He closed his eyes, clutching the polearm in his hands as his fingertips dug into his palms.

"Of course... of course, it was her." He spoke through clenched teeth. He took a shaky breath, peering at the other, "Why are you even here? Who are you?"

"You can call me Kepler. As for why I'm here... I need he- assistance."

"With what?"

"Don't you want your friend to wake up?" Kepler tilted his head, "In order to do so, we have to stop Sagittarius and Mage."

"Ugh, of course, this is their doing..." Messier sighed, putting his yari away, "How do I know I can trust you?"

Kepler shrugged, "You can't."

Messier quirked an eyebrow, crossing his arms. He expected the Aether to say something to back themself up, not... that.

Kepler seemed to notice the judging stare, backing away slightly, "Did I say something wrong...?"

Messier shook his head, "Not at all, but... I guess we're the only ones who can do something about this, so I'm with you."

Kepler smiled slightly, bowing their head, "Much appreciated."

"So, what did you have in mind?"

Kepler blinked, "For what?"

Messier made a gesture with his hand, "You know... a plan? To take down Sagittarius and Mage?"

"..."

"You don't have a clue, do you?"

"...No."

Messier sighed once more in exasperation as he face-palmed himself, 'You've gotta be kidding me...'
