Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Episode 7 Pt 3
We come back to Toffee and Predaking as they approach the stairway tower. Toffee continues to explain everything to the Predacon
"This is the Shrine of Teridax" Toffee said to him
"What are those small drawings?" Predaking asked seeing the carvings on the shrine's walls
"They're carvings Predaking, carvings that narrate ancient myths and legends" Toffee explained as he brushed his gloved hand over the carving "How the universe began, the dawn of time, the birth of civilization, the birth of my order, the great war of the demons." With that Toffee raises his hand in the air "Come Predaking, let me take you on a journey though time"
The world around them changes and Predaking could see they were flowing through the clouds but also staying completely still. Predaking was surprised, he looked ahead and saw the temple ahead which is where they were heading. When they arrived it was night and anchient people were performing a ceremony
"Long ago, in a pre-farmland of Western Heartlands, the people of the stars built a giant building of stone, known as the stairway of Bahamut." Toffee told to Predaking
"Okay…." Predaking sort of getting it
"The stairway was built in honour of the dragon star, which was said to govern all of creation" Toffee continued to explain "All the wisdom of the star was handed down to their ruler, The Star Dragon King." As he continues the temples fire poles light up "Led by the star and their king, the People of the Stars built an incredible civilisation but then the gate to the Shadow Realm was opened. Legends tell of evil demons and spirits led by the demon lord engaging in a great war, the king climbed the stairway and begged the Dragon Star to help his people"
"And the Dragon Star answered, Bahamut the Platnium Dragon came down from above and swept over the land sealing the forces of evil deep beneath the Earth" Toffee said and turns to face Predaking.
"You mean like in the dirt" Predaking said nodding to that, this sounded very far fetched if he didn't see Bahamut himself before.
"Precisely, behold" Toffee said and raised his hand again and the scenery changed to show the Nazca Lines
Predaking shocked asked "Are those the legendary Nazca Lines on this planet?"
"They are the seals of Bahamut" Toffee simply told him
We come back to the dual in progress as Grievous was ready to begin his turn
"Alright new blood, it's my turn!" Grievous said and draws his card and looks ait it smiling as it was of a knight with a sword. "Let's see how your little trickets can stand up, to this move!" His monster roars scaring Iroh, he smirks and ordered "Giant Ushi Oni, tear down that Ashoka Pillar!" It obeys and goes to attack.
"I activate the Totem Pole trap card!" Blaze said playing her face down which was of a totem pole with the heads of an eagle, lion and owl in descending order.
It is summoned and shoots out the lion head to intercept Giant Ushi Oni's attack negating it. Surprising Grievous with confusion as the totem halves go down to connect to each other.
"How incredible!" Iroh said amazed
"No way" Most of Grievous group said all in shock.
"Keep them coming Grievous, because Totem Pole can block your monsters attacks up to three times" Blaze informed her opponent.
"This is amazing, with my deck you are going to win!" Iroh said happily, unfortunately Grievous' laughing got him confused
"You really think I didn't see that trap coming?" Grievous asked with a smirking look which surprised Blaze a bit "I was counting on it, because now I can build my Spider-Web Castle!" He reveals one of his face downs which was a trap card with a castle surrounded by webs. Soon webs begin to form a castle on his side of the field "And it's all thanks to you activating your trap card!"
Grievous smiles and explained "So now, if your monster attacks, it will get caught in my web and only be able to use half its attack points, but the best part is I could also just send the card to my graveyard and then jump past your defence for a direct attack"
"Looks like I spoke to soon kid, you're not going to win" Iroh said deflating from his earlier excitement.
"Now I play one card face down and end my turn" Grievous said doing that and smirks behind his mask as he thinks looking at his face down cards 'Bring it on kitty, cause my field is perfect for this. Thanks to Trap Hole if you summon a new monster with at least 1000 attack points it will be destroyed and if you summon some weaker ones in attack position, hoping for a straight up brawl I can use Mirror Force before they even move.'
'This dual has me all fired up and excited, I love it! It reminds me of better days back when I was on my way to the top of the Speed World Circuit' Grievous thought as he thinks back to his Pro days
Flashback
We see a while ago in the Wayne dome as a crowd is watching a match as Grievous was riding a Tsumeu 6 Duel bike, his armour coloured with blue marking as his team racing colour as present Grievous narrated
'The roar of the crowd, the energy in the air, heart pounding and blood racing through my circuits. It was the greatest feeling in the world' Grievous thought and added as we see he was Turbo duelling against Predaking 'Until I took a shot at the championship and Predaking took me out with one move after toying with me'
We see Grievous' loss as his Giant Ushi Oni was destroyed by Predaking. We then see Past Grievous by his bike looking down at the ground in shock as Past Predaking approaches him
'That was the most humiliating defeat of my career' Present Grievous narrated
Past Predaking's face mask opens, and he smirks saying "Guess you'll have to wait a little longer to take your victory lap, huh Grievous? Maybe next time I'll actually try." He then leaves.
'It was all down hill from there.' Grievous narrated
End of Flashback
We return to the present and Grievous gives a smiling look as he looks at Blaze 'But I like this girl, she reminds me of, well, of me'
"It's my move Grievous" Blaze said, and she looks at the deck and she thinks 'I know this deck won't let me down' She goes to draw, Grievous looks on in anticipation 'If I can get one more monster I can win this, if not…I'm done for.'
Blaze draws her card eyes closed, she sees in her hand was a spell card with an image of a map on it, she gives a smiling looking concerning Grievous.
"Oh no, she smiled" Wiz said figuring that was a smile of she drew what she needed.
"I activate, the Piri Reis Map spell card!" Blaze said playing it and a large map appears behind her
The Dual Tutorial plays and says "Piri Reis Map is a spell card that lets you draw a zero-attack point monster but if it is summoned, you lose half your life points."
"What can you do with some old piece of paper?" Boomstick asked grinning
"It's not paper! It's gazelle skin!" Iroh said somehow cutting in across the room unnerving Wiz and Boomstick and proceeds to lecture them on the Piri Reis Map
"There he goes again!" Boomstick said worried and he and Wiz push back against him
"Enough with the lecture professor!" Wiz yelled at Iroh getting him to back off.
"The Piri Reis Map can show a monster with no attacks a clear path from my deck to my hand" Blaze explained as the monster she chose sticks out of her deck
"So does that mean you can draw another card?" Grievous asked getting the gist of it.
"I'm not just drawing the card" Blaze said as she holds up and shows it which was indeed a monster, which was a black stone with a white drawn image on it "I'm summoning it, Cabrera Stone!" She plays the card
The Cabrera Stone is summoned, and it vibrates a bit as the Piri Reis Map effect plays reducing Blaze's attack points to half leaving her with only 200.
"What's some little rock going to do?" Boomstick asked confused
"It's actually a stone!" Iroh said popping up the two side again "The Cabrera Stone to be exact, they say a lost civilization was…"
"Nobody cares old man!" Boomstick yells as he and Wiz push him away
Iroh however shoves them away and smiles happily as he says "This is truly a site to behold for any archaeologist, the Crystal Skill, a Cabrera Stone and Ashoka Pillar. It makes me feel goosebumps from the sight, most major museums don't even host collections just like this."
"Maybe, but there is something I don't get" Grievous said thinking "The downside of that map of yours was to lose half of your life points in order to summon that rock you added to your hand. That just leaves you with only 200 life points, why would you put yourself at risk like that to summon something with no attack points?"
"To win this dual" Blaze said simply which got Grievous a little nervous "Sorry Grievous, but now that I've gathered Crystal Skull, Ashoka Pillar and Cabrera Stone together on the field I can activate another card" She then shows the card she drew on her first turn.
"It can't be" Iroh said recognizing it and Grievous was very worried now.
"I activate the spell card, Triangle O!" Blaze said and plays the card soon three blue circles appear below her and separate into a triangle shining a bright blue light. The three required monsters to use it begin to crack up while in the light
Grievous concerned as the light closes in on him asked "What kind of wizardry is this?!" He then sees the light effect his side with the Web castle fading and Giant Ushi Oni beginning to crack up as well and it freaked him out
Grievous group looked worried too and Boomstick said "He's demolishing everything!"
"Amazing! I look forward to seeing what this card can really do!" Iroh said excited as he watches
"Triangle O's power destroys every card on the field" Blaze explained on the spell's effects as the monsters and spells begins cracking into rubble "And all of the damage I would have taken because of the cards effects, gets dealt to you. Respect that Grievous!"
Grievous looks worried now as the rubble comes at him and he shields himself from it, but it was over the damage he takes was exactly 3000 the amount he had left. He kneels down looking at the ground and said "I…I don't believe it" He was in shock and amazement about that dual
"Grievous, are you okay?" Boomstick asked as he and the others check on him
"Oh, dear girl that was an amazing dual" Iroh said approaching smiling "I have seen many things in my travels but never dualling like that, heck you never even attacked him. I would hug you but relax I won't"
Blaze looks at him and smiles "I couldn't have done it with out this amazing deck of yours"
"I take it back; I will hug you" Iroh said tearing up and pulls her into a hug while Blaze looked really uncomfortable.
Grievous meanwhile stands up while his group look at glare at Blaze. Wiz said "Don't worry Grievous, we don't care if she won, she's still slime to us."
"Yeah, and we're going to take that Treasure deck" Boomstick said and he and Wiz were going to move but Grievous held out his arms to stop them
"Hang on" Grievous said surprising them as he walks forward
"Hang on for what exactly?" Wiz asked confused along with the others
Grievous walks to Blaze and said to her "You won a dual without ever attacking once, that's a pretty amazing thing to pull off, some say impossible, and I know what I'm talking about cat" Iroh lets go of Blaze and takes back his dual disk and deck "The old man was right."
"It has been a long day, what exactly was I right about?" Iroh asked confused
"I used to be a Pro, but I never dualled anyone quite like you" Grievous said smiling "You're good, so do you have a name newbie?"
"It's Blaze" she said simply looking at him
Grievous nods and looks to Iroh and with a genuine smile said, "Hey uncle, I apologise for stepping on your cards."
"I do hope you learned your lesson Grievous, now take a look at these" Iroh said smiling and showed him his three treasure monters and Stonehenge spell card "Aren't they wonderful, you honestly had me there worth, but Blaze showed me how special they really are."
"I'll be honest, my time in the spotlight has come and long gone now. But I want to do all I can to get you into the world of the pros" Grievous said look at Blaze and offers his hand "What do you say? Interested?"
Blaze smiles maybe with Grievous' help she can not only represent Sol in the Pro dualist circuit but get another shot against Predaking. She shakes his hand "I am very interested."
"Alright, alright all of you, brake it up" Fox said as he and another trooper enter them room "Let's go 24, the warden would like to see you. Now"
Everyone looked concerned at this, whatever the warden wants with Blaze it can't really be good.
Back with Toffee and Predaking, the director of Republic Security was finishing up explaining everything he can.
"Many centuries have passed since Bahumat had sealed the Demon Lord and his forces beneath the Earth" Toffee said as the senary changed to show New Station Square "But those forces continue to draw energy from all sentient beings, they feed off our sadness, our jealousy, our anger, our greed. Soon the Demon Lord's force will gain more power than they ever had before. They will break the dragon's seal and return to pillage the Earth."
"Well, that does sound bad" Predaking said concerned.
"On the day the seal breaks and the Demon Lord resurrects, my order will be prepared to summon Bahumat and protect all on Earth." Toffee told him. "But we must find the Signers, those bearing the Mark of the Dragon like you and that Solian Blaze."
Predaking looks at his mark and said "So, I'm meant to save the world? Why didn't you just say so?" He was intrigued on this destiny but still concerned on it all but was eager to prove he was worthy of this destiny.
Well looks like Blaze has gained a new ally but that is the less of her worries
