Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Fanmake Ep 11 Part 1
We come to nighttime in New Station Square, people were out having a nice time with friends or loved ones. However some people out were up to something secret as Toffee's taskforce were tailing Blaze looking for signs of her mark
"Coulson this is Ward, target is on foot and heading through Hill Top Street" One of the agents said quietly watching Blaze
"Aizen, he's on your way" Coulson said from his car
"Roger that, got her in my sights" Aizen said nodding
"Follow on foot Aizen, do not lose visual contact" Coulson told him as Aizen and his partner Crossbones followed Blaze
Blaze unaware of the people following her thought to herself 'I hope your card works Grievous'
We flashback to Irongate where Blaze was saying goodbye to Grievous, Iroh and Zaktan
"Hold on, I have something for you as well, this card is going to help you get your Runner back" Grievous said and hands her his Giant Ushi Oni card "I heard the cards talking about your sweet ride and how it's locked up in the Impound Centre. Now take this to a store called Inkwell, order a latte and ask for Garrus. He'll help you out"
We come back to the present as Blaze keeps walking down the street and thinks 'Okay Grievous, let's see what this friend of yours can do about getting my runner back' As without her runner she will be unable to rechallenge Predaking plus she rather not lose it.
Blaze keeps on walking making her way to a less lively neighbourhood unaware that Ward and Crossbones were tailing her from a safe distance
"Hang back Ward, let's see what she's up to" Coulson said on comms
Blaze moves and arrives outside the Inkwell bar 'So this is the place Grievous was talking about. Sort of looks like a place I wouldn't mind going too, I only hope Grievous' friend can come through for me.'
Blaze walks in and sees a number of people there all having a blue mark on them like her. One patron said to his friend "So the cop says to the monkey, you're going to jail! Get it?" He laughs
"Err…no" His friend says confused
Blaze goes to the bar counter and sits at it. The bartender Moe Szyslak notices turns to face her and said "So what you want here cat? Lose your ball of yarn or something? My heart's breaking for you but this ain't the lost and found, now get out of here! We got a no loitering rule here! Paying customers only"
"If that's the case, I'll have a latte" Blaze said and pulls out Grievous' card and places it on the counter, this surprises Moe who proceeds to make the drink "Grievous gave this to me. I'm looking for a guy named Garrus"
During this Ward and Crossbones enter into the bar and take a seat at a table close to overhear the exchange between Blaze and Moe. This wasn't unnoticed by Moe
"Those suits that followed you looking for Garrus too?" Moe asked setting the cup on the card and Blaze's eyes widen in shock. Moe motions subtly and Blaze looks at sees Ward and Crossbones "I assume by your reaction those guys, aren't with you." Blaze shakes her head "Now get out of here cat. You don't find Garrus, Garrus finds you" He said in a low voice
Blaze nods understanding she drinks her drink and sets it down "Thank you" She picks back up the card and leaves the bar, Ward and Crossbones following after her
Blaze walks to the middle of an empty street but hears a noise and looks up to see someone on a black and white Dual Runner resembling a ship fly over her and land behind her. One it was someone in alien looking armour, his faceplate lifts up revealing and alien looking being who said, "Looking for me?" This to Blaze indicates this must be Garrus
Ward and Crossbones gasp and run to catch up "Quick! Don't let him get away!" Ward said and Blaze hearing looks at the two agents "Don't move!"
Garrus then moves and grabs Blaze's arm saying "Need a lift!" He then throws her onto the back of his runner and drives off leaving the two taskforce agents in the dust
"Who was that?" Ward asked shocked
"Check the Navi-link. Are we tracking the signal?" Crossbones asked
Ward checks and sees a blinking red dot for Blaze "Yes, we have them. They are going north on…" Suddenly the red dot goes out "Come on!"
"What? What's going on?" Crossbones asked
"Tell Coulson we lost visual and radar" Ward told him. Crossbones nods and does that.
Meanwhile with Blaze and Garrus they were still driving but Garrus was also using a device on the cat's blue mark and said "Hold still, the ions in this bad boy are jamming out that mark's signal. Rather not have those suits following us."
"Can you confirm to me that you are Garrus?" Blaze asked him
"In the Turian flesh" Garrus said nodding
A while later they made it to Garrus' hideout but Republic Security was out in full force looking any sign of them, even using there airships to look for them.
"Hmm, Republic Security usually saves the airships for the big time offenders but despite those fire powers you have, you seem harmless enough" Garrus comments working on a laptop "So do you know something about a city hall diplomat you're not supposed to know?"
"Actually…I think someone knows something about me." Blaze said looking out the window "But, I am unsure on what that is."
"Huh, well luckily your marker won't transmit for a few hours and this building is cloaked, so you're good for now" Garrus explains "So Grievous told you to come here and find me, did he?"
"That's correct" Blaze said nodding
"I don't suppose he sent you to pay me the chunk of change he still owes me?" Garrus asked
"No, afraid not" Blaze said shaking his head
"In that case, you must be here for the official Garrus calibration hook up" Garrus said smiling "So, what's the deal? Do you need a new identity?"
"I need to sneak into the Security Impond Centre to get my Runner back" Blaze told him
"You're kidding, right?" Garrus asked turning to her surprised
Blaze looks at him "Grievous said you can help me, so was he right or wrong?"
"He's right" Garrus said nodding
A while later Garrus had set everything up, got Blaze some maintenance uniform and even forged her a new ID. As he explained
"Alright, Miss Percival, your maintenance uniform is set, and I got your ID card." Garrus explained working on two computers "Just need to hack into the city system"
As Garrus hums as he worked, Blaze notices a picture of Garrus a bit younger standing on a podium holding up a trophy with what looked to be a figure in purple and black outfit and a full purple face back making it hard to see her face, the being was holding a card of the monster Machina Sniper. She noiced the picture was on a slightly burned card
"And done! Percival the Cat you are officially an employee of the New Station Square Security Impound Centre, now each door requires a site-specific code." Garrus explained "Let me hop onto the mainframe and see where their keeping your ride so I'll know what code you'll need. When did they take it?"
"A couple of weeks ago, Garrus" Blaze said as she looked at the picture, Garrus looked happy in it, what happened to lead him from life of dualling to this. She then picks the card up and looks at it to reveal it was Machina Sniper.
"Alright then, I'll have to break the encryption on the security mainframe." Garrus said nodding "Some logarithm runs, a bit of ghost imagine and…yes! I'm in." He gets a hole look of the layout inside the impound centre "Just got to narrow it down to single ride Dual Runner's confiscated in the last several weeks, run that though a list of other variables and…bingo" He sees an image of Blaze's runner, he moves to the other laptop "Vault 64B, top floor. Now I just need to snag the passcodes you'll need to get in. This won't be too hard"
Blaze looks at Garrus and decided to ask "Garrus, did you use to be a dualist?"
"Huh?" Garrus looks at sees Blaze holding the picture and stands up "What are you doing snooping around in here? Put that picture back!"
"It looks like you were taking names in the big leagues" Blaze points out
Garrus looks away and said "No, I was never big league, that's for sure. Me and my partner and best friend at the time Tali dualled in the Semi-Pro League for a bit but…that was a different life, Blaze. It was a long time ago." He sits back at the laptop to continue working "Put the picture down. We got to focus here!"
Blaze does so and puts the picture and card back and goes to Garrus "Talk to me."
"Got the passcode for 64B" Garrus told him
"Is that all I will need?" Blaze asked him
"That, the ID card, the uniform and a whole lot of luck." Garrus told her and showed her "The Security droids are on a random program so I can't help you there."
"I'll risk it. So, was that your dual partner with you in the picture?" Blaze asked
"Geez…." Garrus said annoyed and moves to the computer to work "You don't know when to let something go do you? We're not here to get to know each other, understand?"
Blaze remained silent but looks at Garrus, clearly there was more to the story but for now Garrus wasn't willing to talk but she will find out what happened that made Garrus give up dualling.
Meanwhile outside the building unknown to Blaze and Garrus someone did follow them here and was hiding in the nearby alleyway. It was Gantu who had been tailing Blaze since she left Irongate
"Hmmm…I spy someone who thought she got away" Gantu said smirking "But no one gets away form me! I'll show Blaze and that no-good Toffee!"
We flashback to a while ago at Republic Security HQ where Gantu having recovered from being buried in the trash pipe was meeting with Commander Nebula
"I said there were no third chances with the director or Predaking" Nebula told Gantu "You're on mall patrol!"
"Toffee is up to something here commander!" Gantu told him "First he has me shaking down this Solian, now he lets her walk free in New Station Square! I'm going to catch that cat and get to the bottom of this!" He begins to run out
"Gantu wait!" Nebula said but too late Gantu had made up his mind
Back in the present Gantu laughs in glee as he was going to have his revenge for last time as he said "And once you tell me what I want to know Blaze, it's back to Irongate forever!"
Well looks like Gantu is planning his rematch with Blaze and feels somthing suspecious of the leadership how will this end. Find out soon.
