Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Fanmake Ep 12 Part 1
Blaze was currently in the middle of a Turbo Duel in the Impound Centre. The plan was at first straightforward, get in with a forged ID and access codes, get her runner back and get out. Unfortunately, she didn't expect to run in with her old enemy of Sector Security Gantu.
She tried to escape but Gantu like back at the recycling plant forced her into a duel and currently had the upper hand, having all his life points and two monsters, Search Striker and Pursuit Chaser, while Blaze had no monsters a face down and only 3500 life points. To make it worse security of the Impound Centre was blocking all escape routes and she was driving to a dead end, until Garrus, the one who helped her with the original plan, told her to keep going.
Gantu was first surprised she kept going but smirks saying "You'll never make it out of her Blaze, not unless you can drive through walls!"
"Duck!" Garrus told Blaze on her helmet comm
Blaze gasps and does so which confuse Gantu and suddenly the elevator doors ahead blow open creating an opening into the elevator shaft and both duelists drop down, Gantu laughing as he does
"You certainly know how to make an exit, don't you?!" Gantu said amused "I only hope your life points will be packing a parachute!" He draws his card as the speed counters increase to 5 "Because with 5 Speed Counters I can now play the Speed Spell, Rapid Shokewave! And for each Speed Counter I have, my striker gets 100 Attack Points! Here goes!"
He plays the card and a winged jet pack appears and attaches to Search Striker and ups his attack from 1600 to 2100 "And that means with my monster all amped up, I can finally get a little payback for when you ditched me in that trash tube back in Sol!" Gantu said
Blaze gasped concerned, Gantu smirks under his helmet and said "That's right Blaze, you may have escaped from in our last dual but the power of my beasts are gonna have you back in Irongate before you can make it to the bottom floor! Search Striker take out her lifepoints!"
Search Striker obays, aims his blasters and fires hitting Blaze, the force was strong enough that Blaze nearly lost grip of her Runner and was holding on with one hand as they fell and her lift points go from 3500 to 1400 and her speed counters fall from 5 to 3.
Gantu laughed feeling his victory was coming and said "Looks like you're just hanging on. Now, Pursuit Chaser! End this!"
Pursuit Chaser aims it's arm cannons and fires at Blaze. Blaze seeing it struggles to reach her duel disc said while hitting the button "I play my face down….Confusion Chaff!" She gets back onto her runner
The trap is played and blocks the attack, the card explodes into white paper which collide with Pursuit Chaser and send it spinning back up the shaft pass Gantu and Striker
"Come back!" Gantu ordered his monster
"Oh, he will, see my trap cancelled his attack but guess what? He gets to fight again, only this time it's against your own monster Search Striker!" Blaze explained to Gantu "Just watch"
In deed Chaser's optic under the paper glows orange and it charges at Search Striker, seeing the danger Striker goes into action avoiding the charge and aims one of his cannons at the machine and fires, just missing. Chaer fires his own blast which Striker avoids it and fires again hitting and destroying it's turned ally
"Chaser, I'm gonna get you for that Blaze. Just you wait" Gantu said as his life points fall to 3300 and he plays a face down to end his turn. Also Strikers jetpack fades marking the end of Rapid Shockwave so his attack returns to 1600
As she kept falling Blaze gets contacted again by Garrus who said "Blaze, brace for yourself!" Blaze gasped at that "Next stop, ground floor!"
Blaze brazes herself for landing and crashes through the elevator landing on her rear wheel, the doors open and Blaze rides throught, just as Gantu lands the doors close "Hey!"
"See ya Gantu!" Blaze called out as she rides through the dark hallway and thought 'Alright, now to get out of here'
Gantu refused to give up and crashes through the lift doors and rides after her calling out "We're not done yet!" Blaze looks to see he was on the balcony above smirking under his helmet. He rides through the railing and gets down next to her and bumps into her. Smirking Gantu said "Hey, Blaze I hope you liked Irongate becau…"
Gantu was interrupted by a kick to the face knocking him away, the source was revealed to be Garrus riding his bike the Normandy.
Blaze surprised said "Garrus? Wow, thank you."
"Forget the thank yous, I'm only here to check out my handywork and see you don't get caught." Garrus told her "Because if word got out that I slipped up someway my reputation might not be able to recover. Also don't go thinking this makes us friends of anything, got it? I already ruined one friendship…" He looks down
Blaze could tell under that helmet Garrus looked sad, so she asked, "Tell me about Tali."
Garrus thinks about it and says "Fine, it's like I told you before…"
We flash back to some time ago, we see a Younger Garrus riding the Normady bike with it's side car which Tali was riding in it as Garrus narrates
"We were tag team duellists in the semi-pro league" Present Garrus said, and we see they were in the middle of a match
Past Garrus draws a card and says, "We play Machina Sniper!" Indeed, there signature card is summoned "Now end this!" Machina Sniper obeys and fires destroying the opponent's monster.
We see Garrus and Tali celebrate their victory holding the trophy and smiling. They also look at each other smiling
"We were at the top of our game, and it was all because Tali was a great competitor and even greater friend, heck if things continued may have been something more." Present Garrus explain and adds "She thought we would be champs forever, but Tali couldn't see the big picture. We were never going to make the big money stuck doing tag duels. I had to go solo."
We then see Past Garrus in a darkened hall of the circuit stadium meeting with a man in a business suit
"So, when a rep from Waynetech showed up one day with a case full of money, how could I say no?" Present Garrus said "I had a new sponsor, new gig and an open road right to the big leagues. I'm talking duelers like Trunks, Asuna, Naigi. The legends…. But was Tali happy?" He scoffs a bit "What do you think?"
We then see Past Garrus with Tali in their final duel together.
"Garrus, I'm summoning out Machina Sniper in attack mode!" Tali told him and indeed summons Machina Sniper
"What? Not him again!" Garrus said annoyed "What? You want us to lose this duel?"
"Why do you care about this anyway? I heard about the deal you made to go pro." Tali told him "I thought we were friends"
"Friendship doesn't pay the rent!" Garrus told him "You think I want to spend my life in the tag team bush leagues? Come on! You don't get it!"
"Sorry…" Tali said looking down
With that Machina Sniper is then destroyed. This makes Garrus more annoyed and said "Look at what you just did, Tali! I may as well kiss my contract goodbye!"
"It's just…. our friendship is all I got left." Tali admits to him
"Well then, guess what?! Right now you got nothing left!" Garrus told her
Just then an noise gets there attention and they look to see there oppoants spinning out of control and we then see how they wound up off the track scheaming heading to the factory, the bike and side car disconnecting as well.
"Garrus!" Tali called out reaching for him to try and get to safety
"Grab my hand!" Garrus called out and reaches for her "Almost there!" he said but looks to see they were closing in on the building so Garrus swerves away leaving Tali shocked
Garrus however overshoots and falls off his bike and loses his helmet. He struggles to get up. "Tali…Oh no" He said and sees Tali about to hit the building "Tali! Look out!"
We return to the precent as Garrus finishes the story saying "She was pretty banged up and spent a few months in the hospital, she never let me say sorry. In fact she only sent me that card you saw to remind me of what a bad friend I was." He looks to Blaze "So the next time someone tells you about friendship, well you just remember what I did to my best friend."
"Huh…I hope these pals of yours are worth the risk" Garrus said with an amused smile under his helmet "Because if I know anything about friends, I bet that they hang out with you only because they want something from you in return."
"No, they're good people Garrus" Blaze told him
Garrus scoffs and said, "Nobody's good forever, so you better to watch out for yourself."
"You're wrong, you're just too angry with yourself to see the truth." Blaze said to him and sighs "Garrus can't you see that you're friend Tali never wanted to hurt you" This makes Garrus look at her confused "Sometimes friends….do some stupid things, huh?"
"You can say that again!" Gantu called out intrupting the two as he caught up "This dual ain't over yet cat! Your move!" He laughs and smirks
Garrus and Blaze look at him as he fully catches up, looks like they didn't get rid of him that easily. Gantu taughts saying "But don't hope it'll help you escape from me!"
'I better make a move so I don't end up back in lockdown' Blaze thought and goes to draw
Well Blaze has to keep up the duel with Gantu, can he beat him a third time, find out soon
