Yeah, yeah, I know the order is wrong, but it makes perfect sense towards the end! Apparently, skipping episodes isn't the only thing I'm doing with this story, but it works!
Running, fleeing, being chased, not eating since this morning. Comparing her old, tired self after a day's work, this was a hundred times worse!
Her feet were taking her somewhere she didn't care to know. The only thing on her mind was to sit in a chair. Her hunched over figure, her dead tired eyes, unable to lift her head up to see where's she's going; all she wanted was rest.
Upbeat electronic music filled her ears so she slowly lifted her head to see herself infront of Hirsute Resort and Spa. "Maybe they'll let me sit in the lounge. Just for two minutes.." She muttered while dragging herself inside. Glancing here and there she could see yokai young to old enjoying their time and stay, idling staring at all the statues decorating the outside. Oh, how nice it would be to have money to get to do whatever you want.
Once inside she immediately spotted an empty, cushioned loveseat, and went straight for it. When her bottom hit the warm, cozy cushion she leaned all the way back while curling her legs beside her and closed her eyes letting out a long, deep sigh. "Oh, this is just what I need."
The lights of the area didn't bother her in the least but took notice something was blocking them. Slowly opening her eyes she saw a gray, two headed yokai with beautiful locks of flowing, dark green dreadlocks pulled back in a ponytail wearing a stylish black business suit, really sticking out from the bright sunset yellow of the decor. They both looked identical one having a green left and gold right eye and though the other one had their eyes closed she could tell both were looking at her. Despite the welcoming smile over their visible fangs she grew nervous hoping they weren't going to kick her out, "I'm sorry if I'm intruding, sirs, I just needed a place to sit down for a moment. I promise I won't disturb any of your guests."
"Not at all, madame." The one with open eyes said, gently lifting one of her hands and kissing it.
"Someone as beautiful as you would never be a disturbance." The other answered, taking her other hand. When the other closed their eyes the one speaking opened theirs but they had the opposite colored eyes, gold left and green right.
"My name is Petros."
"And I'm Lithos."
"We are the owner's of this fine establishment and we would love to upgrade you to our V.I.P suite." They said in unison while slithering around her til they were in full view, having a snake like body, the scales a dark green with a few clutters a faded green, their underbelly matching the skintone on their faces. She blinked when they threw their hands out and little fireworks started popping around them.
Kara blushed softly from the sudden attention and being called beautiful, "I appreciate the offer but I have no money to spend." Not wanting to take advantage of their hospitality she moved to leave but blinked when they lowered themselves to her level, each taking hold of her upper hands.
"Please, reconsider, madame." Petros pleaded, his left green and right gold eye gleaming at her.
"Money is no object to us." Lithos commented.
"We would love nothing than your tired soul to get the rest it clearly deserves." Petros added.
"Someone of your beauty should not be this downtraught." Lithos nodded as if this were a fact.
This time, while kissing her hands, both of their eyes were closed. All she could do was stare at them in utter surprise, could she trust them not to bamboozle her with an expensive bill after getting her fill of such a wonderful place? The longer she was silent in thought, the eyes of the two slowly started to open, a soft glow emitting from under their eyelids and the sound of hissing reached her ears.
"You know what." She finally said, the hissing stopping and Petros being the only one to open his eyes curiously. "I'll take you up on that offer. After all I've been through I deserve some me time!" She clenched her fists in determination, the owners lifting themselves up in glee, "Wonderful! I'm sure this is just what you need." Petros beamed.
"We shall escort you to the counter to get your room key." Lithos stated as they moved aside to give her some room but blinked when nothing happened.
Kara's face reddened in embarrassment, now that she had fully relaxed, the adrenaline had drained and she couldn't move her legs, "Oh, geez, this is embarrassing...could you give me a moment...I can't seem to get up."
"Not a problem!" Petros gave a thumbs up.
"We'd be happy to help!" Lithos gave her the "Okay!" sign.
They bent down and scooped her up in their arms, taking her to the front desk themselves. Kara stared up at them in awe, her reddened face cooling to a light blush.
After that, it was all a blur. She was given five-star treatment from first showering with steaming hot water to relaxing in a large spa to full body massages, though she kept them from doing her back. They even had a clothing store where she was given a whole new wardrobe and bathing suit.
Heading to the beach area she tried to ignore the stares and gasps aimed at her. She wrapped the solid lime green cover up around herself, clenching her towel in her other hands when she heard her name being called.
"Kara?"
She froze recognizing the voice and slowly turned around to see Leonardo standing not too far from her wearing a blue gray tank top, horizontal blue stripes that were different shades of blue but what really stood out were the flowing locks of sunshine on his head. "Leo?!" She let go of the cover up in shock to see he suddenly grew hair in the hours from when she last saw him.
He, too, stood there in shock upon seeing her in a solid white two piece bikini, the top connected around the neck with see through fabric around the chest area, the bottoms having two straps wrapped around her waist and a gauze skirt with the same see through fabric with the back reaching below her calfs. The beach wind blowing her shiny and curly hair infront of her face, she having to use her hands to get it out of her face.
"W-what brings you here?" She asked, he being the last turtle she wanted to see.
"Well, I figured if any of us deserves a day to relax it's this guy." He tilted his head down so his sunglasses dropped slightly giving her a wink but noticed she still seemed apprehensive around him, "Would you like to join me? I'm sure there are things we need to talk about."
As soon as they sat down yokai were flocking them, though were mainly around Leo, serving him drinks and feeding him snacks, and he was loving every second of it to the point it seemed he forgot she was there. Crossing both her arms she cleared her throat, staring at him, "Uh. Leo? Did you forget something?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah. Ok, boys, you can go but don't stray too far." He clicked his tongue while giving them finger guns making them laugh before they left.
"Soooo...didn't take you as a blonde." She finally said after two minutes of awkward silence, giving him a crooked smile.
This got him to smile some while flipping his hair, "Perfect hair for a perfect turtle. Makes sense to me." He leaned back while putting his arms behind his head, his smile slowly fading, "About the kiss.." He began this causing her to sit up and give him her full attention but he stayed silent after that.
"Do..do you like me?" She asked her voice surprisingly steady and gentle, loosely wrapping her arms around her stomach.
He dropped his arms while sitting up, his hair covering his face from her view, "Yeah. Yeah, I did. You were different. You accepted us, even though I did make up a convincing cover story." This got a chuckle from her but she stayed quiet, letting him continue, "You're pretty, talented, which is on my top five list of traits I look for." This got her to raise a brow at him before it went away as he continued, "And you helped us before we ruined your life..but even after that you still helped us."
She clenched her cover up, lowering her head in shame, "You guys didn't ruin my life. You all brought a spark to it that had been long gone for me. You showed me what family and true friends are all about and despite my mistakes you all never gave up on me even when I pushed you away. I ruined it by hurting you..and I'm sorry." She lifted her head in surprise when she felt a touch to see Leo sitting in front of her wiping away tears that she didn't realize were falling, his expression just as soft as his voice. "I didn't mean to make you cry.." When they looked into each other's eyes he asked the question, "You like Donnie, don't you? More than me."
"Yes." She nodded, his hands still on her cheeks.
He gave her a sad smile, accepting her answer, and gave her forehead a gentle kiss before laying back in his seat. Despite being rejected there was an air of peace around him. She stared at him a moment and slowly smiled before following his example and stretched out feeling herself starting to fully relax. "So, what is it about him that you like?" He asked with a raised brow and smile, no malice or hate in his words, but genuine curiousity. "Cause I got some embarrassing stories that might make you change your mind." This got a laugh out of her, opening her mouth to say.
Up in their office overlooking the beach, Petros and Lithos were keeping an eye on Kara. Hearing their phone ring, Petros answered, "This is Petros. Is the project nearing completion?" He listened intently, his eyes widened along with his smile, "Excellent! The final piece will be ready to unveil shortly." He hung up the phone and slithered off, "Now to find the perfect outfit." Lithos said in a sing-song voice.
She was beginning to nod off from listening to the gentle crash of the waves when she heard snoring next to her. She covered her mouth to keep herself from waking him up with her laugh and stood to leave. She grabbed the coverup to take it off, wanting to go for a swim, but she found herself unable to remove it, her fingers trembling around the fabric; she wasn't ready yet. Sighing heavily, she grabbed her things and walked away with her head down, rubbing her arms.
"Miss! Oh, miss!" She heard someone call out and turned to see the one of the staff running up to her, waving their arms. "The owners would like to speak with you in their office. Please follow me." The staff member said with a smile, she following after the small yokai.
When she arrived their office was vast, much larger than her one-bedroom apartment, but then again, a lot of things were. Their long, curved desk was in front of the window wall that faced the beach, an area off to the side of the desk that had a TV and some chairs that faced each other, and something that was covered up. Next to a door there was a full-length mirror with an off the shoulder halter V-neck split flowing summer dress that was blue and white to resemble water with a glowing pink flower on the hip. "To honored guest." The tag said making her blush while taking the dress. "Wow..it's beautiful.." She looked around for the brothers and knocked on the door it was next to. Hearing nothing she slowly opened the door to see it was a restroom and walked in to change.
Walking out while adjusting the cover up she blinked with a start to see the brothers outside the door smiling ear to ear at her, "There's our honored guest." Petros said.
"You look stunning in that dress." Lithos took her hand, bowing his head respectfully.
"Oh, thank you." She unknowingly followed them as they talked to her, they leading her to the covered object.
"Not at all, madame." Petros said with sly smile.
"All we do is state the facts, Win-" Petros hissed low, narrowing his eyes at his brother making him stay silent.
"Would we be so bold as to ask you to become a model for our resort?" Petros asked, stopping in front of the object and slithered around it before throwing the tarp off to reveal a stone scenery of painted palm trees and bushes of flowers with a bench at the center. The brothers gently ushered her to the center, sitting her down and slithered quickly to catch a glimpse of their art.
"Yes, beautiful!" Petros exclaimed, closing his eyes so Lithos could see, "I agree, brother, and with her wings out it would complete our masterpiece." With the same speed they were already behind her with their hands on her shoulders.
"No, wait, stop!" She protested but they ignored her as they pulled off the cover up, gasping loudly to see two scars instead of two beautiful wings. She quickly stood, turning around while hugging herself.
"I-I don't understand. Where are your wings?" Petros voiced raised, dropping the cover up, and slowly slithering up to her.
"You're the famous Winx, are you not? Big Mama's top fighter?!" Lithos' brows furrowed, anger growing in his voice.
Kara began to back up towards the door, "I-I didn't tell you that name. Why would you think that?" She let out a noise when their tail was wrapped around her ankles, traveling up to her calves, letting out a whimper when they grabbed her chin, jerking her to look right at them, "Don't take us for fools, Winx." Petros said in a low tone.
"We watched your fights, we recognized not only your body, but those eyes." Lithos added, gently moving her bangs aside to show off her purple eye. A startled yell came from her when she was pushed to the ground, Lithos pulling the band out of their hair. Her eyes widened when their hair came to life. Hearing hissing she gasped when she saw they were snakes, actual snakes! "What the?!"
"Don't worry, you'll only be paralyzed til we can figure out where to put you." Petros said calmly while closing his eyes. The hissing became louder as Lithos opened his eyes, they glowing gold, but a knock at the door caused all of them to look ahead, their secretary opening the door to explain some goings ons when she was suddenly frozen in place, having stared right at the owners and their snakes that only had one eye glowing on each of them, and fell over with a thud.
Petros sighed, rubbing his eyes. Kara took this opportunity to jump to her feet and ran for the door.
"GET BACK HERE!" She heard behind her, but she just ran faster, "Gotta get to my room!" She told herself while patting herself to find the room key, "It's not here...IT'S IN MY COVER-UP!" She slid around a corner, running into a customer, and falling to the ground. She stumbles to her feet, helping the customer up and apologizing, and decided to run somewhere crowded hoping they wouldn't use their powers with so many yokai around not knowing they were calling security.
She slid into the pool area, blinking in confusion at how there were so little yokai around; only Leo sleeping in the pool. "Man, maybe he did need a vacation..wait, he can help!"
"Leo, I need your-"
"Blue, I need you-"
Both blinked and each looked at one another, Splinter and Kara, before she picked him up in a panic, "Mister Splinter, I need your help. The owner is trying to turn me into a piece of art for his hotel. You gotta get me out of here."
He stared at her and nodded, having her let go of him and turned to Leonardo but froze when he saw the hair. Slowly reaching for it, he rubbed it to see if it was real.
"Sir!" Kara pleaded in frustration and urgency.
"Ok, one problem at a time." Splinter muttered before trying to wake up Blue but when that failed he spotted his sword off to the side on a seat and snagged it, "I'm just gonna borrow this for a sec. Ok, thanks, byyye!" He said quickly while making a portal. "Come on." He grabbed her hand and went through it. Hearing an enraged yell she turned around to see both their eyes glowing gold, but before she could get turned to stone the portal closed.

Back at the police station, in the evidence room, Alastair layed leaning against a bag of whoopie cushions and a dead fish. "How much longer is this ride-along goin' tae take?! It's been hours!" Dragan screamed while pulling at her hair. She stopped when she heard talking outside in the hallway and listened for Kara.
"Yeah, I can't believe this is the third time they tried to pull that stunt. At this point this guy is becoming a nuisance." One officer said while opening the door to the evidence room.
"Shouldn't we send that to the labs to make sure it isn't radioactive or anything?" A meeker voice asked, clearly a newbie.
"Ha! You kidding? My shift is over and I got a sweet date with some loaded chimichangas. This restaurant practically fills the plate with chili and I am all for it." The upper officer laughed while tossing a glowing bag right at Alastair. Dragan screamed as it landed right on the sword, purple jello like ooze splattering everywhere. "Eugh. Why does it smell like sourcream?! Kara, please save mee!"
