We begin the first duel of the Emerald Cup let's see how Caspar does.

We come to the waiting room for the Eight Emeralds as they sat to get ready for their matches. On the TV screen was a live broadcast of the tournament so they can watch the other matches. Currently the Cheerleaders were chanting Predaking.
Meanwhile Caspar sat across from Blaze as he gets his deck and Dual Disc ready. Smiling he said, "This Dual Disc you fixed up for me rules!"
"Glad you like it" Blaze said smiling.
"I can't believe I'm actually about to do this." Caspar said with a smile "You don't have any last-minute pointers for me, do you?"
"Yep, remember to adapt to your opponent." Blaze said with a nod.
"I can do that." Caspar said standing up and runs off to get to the field, he passes by Nyloke who was sitting next Demyx and said "Nice beard."
"Why thank you your lady." Nyloke said with a proud smile.
We come to the central dual field of the arena as the lights are dimmed.
"Before we meet our first dualists, we have a quick word from our Dual sponsors." Chris said in his announcer booth and begins to give the ad "If your dog Pokemon's bad breath is making you sick, give him Chansey's mintball, the heathy edible stink buster."
With the ad done he points to the field and spotlights shine on one end of it Chris said "And now, coming straight from The Tops…. the precious half pint bundle of wonder…" Caspar came up from a lift onto the field "Little Miss Lysithea!"
"Oh wow, this is incredible!" Caspar said excited "I should have brought my camera!"
On the other end another lift rises bringing up Robo-Roxy as Chris said "Hoping to take her down, the robotic sharpshooter, the machine of power….Robo-Roxy!" The lights soon all came back on "Alright children play nice, let's shake those hands!"
Caspar and Roxy meet in the middle and shake hands this was a show of respect and good sportsmanship.
"That was cool the way you just grabbed that mic and defended my friend." Caspar said to Roxy smiling "I want you to know it's a big-time honour to be dueling you today, Miss. Roxy."
"If I may say so Miss. Lysithea, you have quite a strong grip for a young human lady." Roxy said with a small grinning look.
"Oh…" Caspar lets out and lets go and backs away laughing "That's funny because everyone at school calls me a Tomboy! Did I mention I was a cheerleader?" He does some cute pose.
Up in the stand seeing this the real Lysithea was getting annoyed at her brother and said, "I do not act like that!"
"And now, it's time to start the duel!" Chris announces after Roxy and Caspar got into their positions and duel discs ready Roxy's being purple and black like her. "Players! Activate your Dual Discs!"
They do so engaging them to duel mode and both said to each other "Let's Duel!" They both got their 4000 Life Points and draw their five cards.
"The first move's mine! I draw!" Roxy said going first and draws a card. "From my hand I activate Star Blast!" She plays a Spell card with an image of a duelist covering himself as one of the monster stars explodes leaving only three.
"A spell? You're not starting with a monster?" Caspar asked with a smile.
"I first have to lower my monster' s level by harnessing the power of Star Blast and sacrificing 500 Life Points." Roxy explained as indeed her Life Points go down to 3500.
"Why would you do all that?"
Roxy holds up a card that depected a robot monster resembling a WW2 bomber jet being light green with two large propeller blades on its shoulders and explained "See my Summon Reactor SK is a level 5, so by taking it's power down a notch, I can summon it directly to the field in attack mode!" Indeed, she plays it and SK appears on the field with 2000 attack points.
"Yikes it's got 2000 attack points!" Caspar said in shock that such a powerful monster was summoned right at the start of the dual.
"That's right, I believe that one must sacrifice a little in order to gain a lot." Roxy said and places a face down as she said "I end my turn with a face down card!"
"Roxy is off to the strong start, let's see how little Miss. Lysithea responds!" Chris announces into his mic.
"Here I go" Caspar said and draws a card "I draw!" He holds it up to see he drew Celfon "You're not the only one off to a strong start! I summon Morphtronic Celfon in attack mode!" He plays the card and Celfon is summoned to the field transforming into it's robot mode. "Pretty cool, don't you think? My Morphtronic deck rules! And I'm about to show you why!"
"Before you make any more moves, I get to activate Reactor SK's special ability." Roxy told him calmly and Caspar gasps in surprise "Because you summoned a monster to the field, Reactor SK gets to hit you with 800 points of damage!"
Roxy motions with her hands and SK responds by activating both its propeller blades and sends out two gusts of wind at Caspar hitting him and reducing his life points to 3200.
"Incredible! Roxy's monster can attack Miss. Lysithea anytime she summons a monster!" Chris said to the audience.
Up in the VIP booth where Toffee, Deviot and Predaking were watching the match unfold.
"Robo-Roxy was the right choice for this." Deviot said to Toffee "Her relentless tactics will have that girl showing her true colours in no time."
"Not bad Miss but it's going to take more then that to beat my Morphtronic deck!" Caspar said recovering.
'That's right kid, get excited, let's find out if you're really who Toffee says you are.' Roxy thinks and then begins to taunt him "You keep talking up these Morphtronics of yours, but so far I am not impressed!"
"Yeah well…I'm about to impress your face!" Caspar said not giving a good comeback.
In the stands Lysithea face palms embarrassed and said "I can't watch…I'll never be able to live this down"
"Alright, let's go Celfon! Start dialling now!" Caspar announces and as Celfon 1 to 6 buttons begin to flash he explained "Whatever number the dial lands on, that's the number of cards from the top of my deck I get to flip over and if the last card I flip is a level 4 or below Morphtronic, then I can summon it out!" The light lands on 2 "And we got a two!" Caspar draws the two cards nervous "The second card is…Oh yeah!" He smiles "Get ready for Morphtronic Boomboxen! Coming at you live! Ha!"
Summoned to the field in defence mode was a boombox that begins to play music and has 400 defence points
We come to the tutorial and see the Boomboxen card show it to be a red and silver robot level 4 with 1200 Attack points.
The Tutorial AI says, "When the monster card Morophtronic Boomboxen is attacked while in defence mode, that attack can be negated once per turn."
"Now I play a face down and end my turn!" Caspar said laying down his Morphtransition trap card down. He thinks 'Now if she plays a monster card next round and attacks with it boy will she be surprised when I reveal my face down. Cause then I will be able to summon out this bad boy.' He looks at a card with a monster resembling a truck that turns into a cannon with 1300 attack points. He grins thinking 'And then I'll have her right where I want her.'
We come to Doofensmirtz at the Energy Reactor as he was monitoring the readings from the duel.
"Still no signal!" Doofensmirtz said in shock and confusion looking at the D-tector-Inator still on the blue "Zilch, nothing." He looks at the computer "Come on Lysithea, any day now. We need to know if you have the Mark of Bahamut!" He increases the sensors intensity.
Back at the stadium, Lysithea clutches her head as unknown to her, she was feeling the intensity of the sensors.
"Something wrong?" Ashe asked concerned.
"Just a headache." Lysithea said to him smiling not wanting to worry anyone.
"It's my turn. I draw!" Roxy said beginning her next turn and drawing a trap card and then goes to her hand "And from I hand I play Trap Reactor Y FI to the field in attack mode!" She summons another WW2 Jet themed robot that was green with a chest cannons and it's arms was also it's wings and had 800 attack points "Trap Reactor, attack! Take out Morphtronic Celfon!" Y FI goes to do that.
"Got you Roxy!" Caspar said with a grin "I activate my Morphtransition trap card!" It activates and Celfon goes back into phone mode and into defence position and Y FI stops "And now I can switch my Celfon into defence mode and put your attack on hold!"
"Ha! By playing your trap you walked right into mine." Roxy said with a smirking look "It's called Trap Reactor for a reason after all! You see Trap Reactor reacts to your trap card activation and lays directly into you 800 points of damage. Attack!"
Y FI obeys and flies up and aims its cannons at Caspar and opens fires reduces his Life Points to 2400.
"Oh no!" Both Lysithea and Ashe said concerned.
"This girl is playing a real bait and switch game." Grievous said watching the duel. "Making Caspar's moves backfire, it's like she's toying with Caspar to get him all worked up emotionally."
Blaze who was watching the duel on the breakroom screen thinks 'Don't let her get to you, Caspar.'
"That was a cheap shot!" Caspar said glaring at Roxy.
'That's right, get fired up. Toffee says you might be a Signer. So, bring it on! Defeat me with the power of the Platinum Dragon!' Roxy thinks looking at Caspar.
Back with Doofensmirtz, he sees the D-tector-Inator still has no readings.
"Still nothing, maybe if…" Doofensmirtz said thinking only for some alarms to get his attention to the monitor and he looks on in interest.
Well things are going well for Caspar, will he be able to turn it around? Find out the next part.
