The Duel was certainly heating up, before it was looking like Nylocke was surely going to win, but in one turn Uzi was able to catch up making it anyone's games.
Despite this Nylocke has a smile on his face as he is ready to continue laughing joyfully as he said "Good show, but tis too soon to call it victory, as mine counterattack begins with this thine trap card, thine Level Change" He reveal the trap, a card with two monsters similar but different and a dice falling between them. "Thine turn isn't finished Robotic Rose, mine bewitched Masked Knight level the third shall be sent to thine yard of graves so that a more battle ready may take thine place"
Indeed, Masked Knight Level 3 is removed from the field and as he was, the spell cards Mark of the Rose and Vengeful Servant are destroyed on Uzi's side of the field. Emerging from Nylocke's graveyard slot was Masked Knight Level 5.
"My Masked Knight Level the fifth, return to thy battle my brave warrior!" Nylocke said as he plays the card and it returns to the field.
"Sir Nylocke cracked the Robotic Rose's combo, this is anyone's duel now." Chris announces to the audience.
"It appears you forgot about Black Garden. For every monster you summon, it's attack points is cut in half" Uzi said as the thorn vines entangle Masked Knight and reduce his Attack by half going down to 1150. "And not only that, but I'll be getting another Rose Token." She added as indeed another rose token grows on her side of the field. "Now I end my turn."
"Your spells and magic to entrap and be witch my monsters are impressive but thy garden will not hinder be for long!" Nylocke said and draws a card "Now my knight! You have earned premotion for brave services against our most challenging opponent!"
"He's right!" Chris said in surprise "Thanks to Masked Knight's special ability, he upgrades from Level 5 all the way to Level 7!"
Indeed, Masked Knight Level 5 glows and breaks from the vines. "Now join mine side!" Nylocke said playing the card as it grows bigger and stronger but not much difference other then that as it's now Masked Night Level 7 with 2900 ATK.
"Black Garden, do your thinks!" Uzi commanded as the vines again ensnare Masked Knight and reduce his attack by half going down to 1450 and as a third rose token grows she said "Once again another Rose Token shall bloom."
In the player waiting area Blaze and Robo-Roxy were watching the match.
"Impressive, those Rose Tokens of hers can't be destroyed in battle." Roxy said nodding "She's got an impenetrable wall, the question is can she hold out? Not even a pretty garden can stop Nylocke forever. I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before that Robotic Rose is clipped."
Blaze remains quiet and keeps watching.
Back at the duel Nylocke said "I will admit miss, you drapped this arena in foliage, won the hearts of my knights and now your amazing deck will be challenged by my might! Behold! My Glory Shield! With it my Masked Knight will be impervious to any mind-altering spells!" He plays it and a white shild with blue crystals sticking out of it and a heavenly halo appears on Masked Knight's arm.
"Nice move, now when Nylocke decides to bring in the big blades and attack with Masked Knight, Robotic Rose can't use her spell cards and traps." Grievous said nodding.
"And if it does damage, it destroys a card, maybe Robotic Rose isn't so powerful after all." Ashe said thinking.
"This is bad." N said worried.
"Relax, me and Uzi went over her deck before today, we thought about this situation." J said to him.
"Masked Knight, unleash my powers on our opponant's monsters! The Tokens of Rose!" Nylocke orders and Masked Knight obeys and attacks one of the Rose Tokens with it's sword "Cry Havoc and strike down thy maiden's life points!" The attack connects.
"And Nylocke brings the hammer down! Or should I saw sword as Uzi takes a big hit!" Chris announces as Uzi's LP goes down to 1550. The audience gets fired up "Robotic Rose is starting to wilt, a few more attacks like that and she'll be checking the Want ads, does anybody need a gardener?"
"And now my Glory Shield effect destroy thy Doppelganger!" Nylocke said as the shield works and the spell is destroyed "With the spell now lost, Masked Knight, unleashed thy effect most special!" Masked Knight fires a white beam from its helmet horn and hits Uzi with a big explosion, but she bare reacted as he LP goes down to just 50.
"Only 50 life points left!" Chris said surprised "This duel is all but over! It's a fourth encore! It's a party with no music! It's the closing credits!"
"I end mine turn." Nylocke said with a bow.
We come back to Blaze and Roxy watching the duel in the player waiting area.
"So do you think it's over?" Roxy asked Blaze.
"Not a chance." Blaze said shaking her head "She's just getting warmed up."
"And why do you think that? You know her?" Roxy asked, "Some ancient mystical bond?"
Back at the match Nylocke said "It is thine turn, through it appears it will be thine final one, I Nylocke! Knight of Epic Final turnarounds! Am eager to see what thy bring to stop what appears to be mine victory."
"Yeah, I have some final tricks up my robotic sleeves as indeed this duel is over." Uzi told him.
"I see, well let's see them." Nylocke said in excitement. Uzi draws a card. He thinks 'I am not overconfident to assume but currently I see it coming to my victory as I see how you may play it. You shall release thy Token of Rose hoping against hope to summon a creature and then that will be an early end for you for once summoned, thy Black Garden will affored me a Token of Rose and you shall attack which will fail for thou have no idea of the card I lay face down. For waiting for you is my Martyr Flag a spell most simple too for it shall double thy attack points of my Masked Knight! This battle has been one I will treasure but only one of us can continue on in this arena!'
"So, what to do? I think I'll destroy my Black Garden." Uzi announces and the Black Garden vine cage begins to decay away and the Rose Tokens begin to wilt.
"Oh heavens! What is this?" Nylocke asked surprised at this.
"I'll explain, it is simple strategy" Uzi told him "See you got to learn to look beyond the beauty of my roses. By destroying my Black Garden and my Rose Tokens I can get to summon a new monster, one that is in my Graveyard."
"You don't mean that one, do you?!" Nylocke asked in surprise.
"Oh boy." Roxy said from seeing this.
"It can't be!" Caspar, Ashe and Iroh said in shock while Lysithea watches on concerned.
"Now if my math is correct and it always is then Uzi has sacrificed enough attack points to summon…The Black Rose Dragon!" Chris announces to the audience. Indeed the field begins to become alight with a purple flame.
"That thing is dangerous." A male spectator said scared.
"Now say hello to my Black Rose….Dragon!" Uzi announces as the Black Rose Dragon emerges again from a purple tornado.
The AI Card Tutorial plays for Black Rose Dragon.
"Black Rose Dragon, is a level 7 fire attribute Synchro Monster that has 2400 Attack points and 1800 Defence points" The AI voice said.
Back at the dual Chris then says to the crowd "Uzi did it! But is it too late? With Black Garden gone, Masked Knight's attack goes back to their maximum! And if you know anything about fairy tales, when it comes to knights vs. dragons it never ends well for the dragon"
Indeed as the remaining entangled vines on Masked Knight decay away his attack goes back up to 2900 making it stronger then Black Rose Dragon.
"With nothing else on her field, Robotic Rose can't win this." Grievous said "Too bad too, I thought she had it."
"The folks here shouldn't count her out yet" V said with a smirk.
"Most impressive my lady, but the attack difference of our monsters are obvious, truly thou must have more then that." Nylocke said to her.
Back in the player waiting area with Robo-Roxy and Blaze watching this.
"I sure hate to admit it, but it looks like this duel's over." Roxy said with a nod.
"Yeah, but it won't play out like you think." Blaze said to her.
"Say what?" Roxy asked confused.
Back at the duel, Uzi takes out Wall of Ivy from her graveyard slot and said to Nylocke "Due to my Black Rose Dragon's special ability, if I remove a plant type monster in my graveyard from play, your Masked Knight's attack points go to zero" Indeed a ghostly image of Wall of Ivy appears and Black Rose Dragon bites it destroying it and it's black thorn vines glow purple. "Go black binding bloom!"
The vines reach out and entangle Masked Knight surprising Nylocke as his monster's attack points are now zero. Nylock shocked sighs and smiles as his counter strategy was now useless as you can't double 0 attack "Thou truly played a formidable match, I did my best so I have no shame in being defeated. You won fair and square my lady.
"Indeed, I can see you are unique to others who only look on the outside as you see what is on the inside that really counts" Uzi said with a nod.
"Correct, now end this duel and unleash your final attack as I am ready" Nylocke said bracing himself.
"I will and I will take it easy with making this as quick and painless for you!" Uzi said and motions to Black Rose Dragon "Black Rose Dragon attack!"
Her monster attacks firing a blue and black fiery breath that engulfs both Nylocke and his monster, the dragon knight holds in his screams of pain as much as he can but he then lets one out. The audience members scream and shield themselves from the intense light and heat of the attack as they all feel it.
In the VIP area with Toffee, Predaking and Deviot, the deputy director chuckles and said, "I think Nylocke worked well, now to check in with Doofensmirtz." He looks to a holo monitor and asked, "So tell us, what did your D-tector-inator see?"
"Well, um…there was no Signer energy." Doofensmirtz said sadly "We got nothing."
"Then keep looking" Toffee said to the scientist.
We then see Predaking and Blaze both holding their arms where there marks were as they felt the power of the mark when that happened.
Blaze then looks to Robo-Roxy and said "I knew she'd win that duel."
"What do you mean?" Robo-Roxy asked "Like you two are connected."
"I don't know, but their's something between us." Blaze told the robot warrior.
Back in the arena the dust settles and Nylock was clearly singed and collapses onto on knee groaning in pain, if Uzi were to just not holding back he may have fallen to unconsciousness. His remaining life points go down to zero.
"Her monsters are real!" A scared male spectator cries out seeing the injured Nylocke.
"Boo! Get her out of here" A female spectator calls out as others join in booing while Blaze's friends and Uzi's three drone friends look on concerned.
Kilobyte watches this and smirks as he said "Not a bad win Uzi, but I got a bad feeling that your real fight is just about to get started. Good luck."
Uzi just looks on as the audience boos her, hardly phased by it.
Here we go, Uzi moves on to the next round and everyone now is afraid of her due to her powers. Next will be the Emerald Cup's first Turbo Duel.
