Jacob enters the 2nd corps hub by himself, he sees that the hub is not as packed as he initially thought. The fact it was high noon with a few people walking around.
He walks over to the main hologram board at the center of the hub to see any contracts available for him. He scans the holographic board for any type of work, from protecting a HVT to assisting in bringing aid supplies for a destroyed nation. Eventually he spots one that catches his eye. [Elimination: Adam and Eve androids] An elimination-type contract with a high bounty on it. Jacob thinks that it should be an easy contract until he scans it more.
It was available as a solo mission but it was recommended to have at least two squads for it. Jacob crook his head at the 'solo' part, but he quickly forgot it and thought about taking it on by himself as it sounded like a challenge from all the leadership he does with his team.
He copied the contract code onto his wrist device and walked over to the robot at the counter,
"Ah, Jacob Collins, do we have a contract? If so, what is it?" Said the Robot.
Jacob then jacks in his wrist device into a port and inputs the code to the robot.
"Ooh, an elimination contract, now those are rare to come by! How many people?" Asked the Robot
"Just me," Jacob replied
"Okay then… contract assigned, good luck out there!" The Robot says with bland enthusiasm.
Jacob preps himself in a locker room. He sets up his network to link up to any emergency BlackWatch station that broadcasts within ten light years in case he can't come back. He also packs an ammo stash for an entire three squad in a single bag, puts on his olive green armor and his helmet with a black visor on his hip, his black under suit, and lastly his exo-equipment like his energy field, stimulant injectors, and Jump Jets. With his gear finalized he grabbed his weapons which were the MA41(70) assault rifle and a M6L handgun.
Once prepared, just when he hits the transporter button he stops. He exits the locker room and heads back to his barracks room and grabs a small box. He stuffed it in his pouch then hit the transporter and a blue light surrounds him transporting him to another world within his room.
He teleports on top of a desolate roof of a crumbling building. Once there, he could then feel his stomach churl from within, he kneels down and vomits onto the ground of whatever was in him. The sour and acidic taste of his bile linger in his mouth as he kneeled.
"Ugh, forgot about the side effects of transporting with this thing," Jacob says nauseous. He then wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.
A moment later, he finally gets his bearings and stands. He scans the area ahead, which appeared to be an urban environment now taken over by nature's embrace. All he could see was destroyed buildings that were once apartment and office buildings, but now home for vegetation.
Jacob stares at the desolate landscape, listening to the silence of the world. The sounds of the wind silently howling a soft tune, and Jacob's slow breathing singing along with the silence.
He takes a deep breath and softly sighs, "Looks like I'll be here for quite a while here then, huh," Jacob says to himself
As Jacob prepares himself for the road ahead he puts on his helmet with a black visor, concealing his entire face. He carefully treads down the destroyed building, through the stairs provided at the side of the building. As he walks down the stairs, every step creaks the staircase, putting a slight unease on Jacob as he slowly descends. Once he reached near the bottom he could see lush green grass carpeting the now concrete tile floor below him.
As he reaches the bottom of the stairs he sees that the stairs were broken from time, with at least a 3-meter drop,
Jacob snorted, "It's going to be like that huh?"
He then takes off his bag and drops it down first. When the bag hits the ground it makes an audible thump that echoes, with a small amount of dirt kicking up from the ground. He carefully positioned himself for a safe jump, only to hear metal creaking under him. It was the stair platform he was on, without hesitation he dropped down. By utilizing his jump jets, he activates them with right timing and softens the landing, as he lands near his bag.
"How fun, almost died on a falling platform," He snorts.
Now on the ground, he grabs his bag and puts it on his back, ready for the journey ahead. Then the stair platform crumbles and crashes into the ground behind him, causing a loud crash that echoed within the desolate city.
"That will certainly cause some attention, time to move," he says under his breath.
He walks through towers of destroyed and decaying buildings. As he continues to walk, he encounters wildlife all around him, from birds chirping away to rats scattering away once they hear his footsteps. Suddenly a small bipedal machine appears in an open field in front of Jacob a distance away.
"What is that," he whispers cautious.
Jacob uses his helmet's built-in binoculars, that he custom-fitted, he zoomed in and took a closer look at the machine. He notes that the machine seemed to be staring out into space, almost like it was unaware of him. With caution, he pulled up his rifle and pointed it toward the small machine. He aimed what seemed like their head and with a single pull of the trigger, a gunshot cracked throughout the air, echoing. It causes birds to flutter away from the crack of the bullet. As the bullet flies, it meets its mark by smashing into the side of the robot's small head. Instantly downing the small robot. Then after, the silence of the world took over with the gunshot still lingering in the air,
"Hmph, can never be too sure," Jacob says to himself.
He approached the small dead machine and inspected it. It was small in height roughly to Jacob's torso but it was extremely wide; the arms seemed to be able to go a full 360 in motion, and where the head was, there was a giant hole in the side from Jacob's bullet striking them.
As he was done investigating it, he gets up but before he left, his gut felt like something was wrong. So he grabbed his knife from its sheath and walked back, and slammed his knife through the head once with his knife,
"That should kill it," he says more confident, "but not like the bullet would've, but can never be too sure,"
He continued onto wherever he was going, as he was not given directions on where to go exactly. He walked down a moss-covered sidewalk near the destroyed buildings, the sounds of his boots crunched with each step. He continued to walk for what felt like an hour he saw that ahead was a lush green path filled with bushes and tallgrass about knee length. Suddenly two jets fly overhead of him casting a roaring thunder,
"The hell?!" Jacob says perplexed.
The jets flew straight ahead, where the green path was. Jacob knew following the jets would lead to trouble but since he didn't have a solid lead, he might as well follow the jets to see if it led him to the right direction. He prepared himself and walked into the green path.
As he trekked on, he encountered more of the small bipedal machines. They were initially by themselves, but gradually they increased in numbers as Jacob kept walking. To him, he felt like he was moving in the right direction. Until he was met with another open area, somehow it seemed like time hadn't passed, but it was clear that exhaustion was catching up with him.
So Jacob decided to take a rest in a hidden area within a building out of sight.
Before Jacob rested, he took out something he had in a pouch, it was a small cardboard box about the size of his hand. He opened it and it was a small data chip made for his helmet, he then inserted it into the back of his helmet.
"Ah~ finally! I thought I was going to be in there the entire time!" said someone.
"So this must be the AI that Orion talked about," Jacob says surprised.
"Yes, I'm that AI, from that mister Orion," said the AI, "so you must be Jacob huh?"
"Yes that's me," Jacob replied.
"Well then, I'm A1E3, or Alex," said the AI, "I will be your AI assistant,"
"I see," Jacob says with annoyance in his voice.
"What, you have a problem with me being a talker? Huh?" Alex questioned.
"Yes I do," Jacob replied bluntly.
Alex gasped, "That was offensive,"
"Welp too bad, get use to it," said Jacob.
"I guess that's the response that I have to deal with for now," says Alex disappointed.
"Anyways I need you to keep an eye on the surroundings, while I try to rest up," says Jacob.
"Copy that, boss," said Alex.
"Just call me Jacob," he replies back.
"Copy that, Jacob," Alex responds again.
After an hour Jacob awakens,
"Good morning sleepy head," said Alex
Jacob ignores the gesture, "How's the situation?" he asks
"Nothing much happened, other than the machines just staring into space," says Alex bored
"Then that's good news for me, and you can go back," Jacob then takes out the data chip from his helmet, where Alex is, and puts it in his pocket for safekeeping.
"I don't want unnecessary banter," Jacob continued
He gets up and heads out of the building he was in. Once he was outside he could see multiple of the small bipedal machines and mooses in the area.
He sneaks past the small machines and reaches a small pond with more of the same small machines,
"Holy hell, how many are there," Jacob says to himself.
But in the corner of the pond is a small alleyway that catches his attention, so quietly as he could, he sneaked around the small machines to the alleyway. He successfully passed and entered the alleyway which led towards a campsite full of what seemed like people, to which they all noticed him and confronted him, pointing their rifles to Jacob, to which he puts his rifle away and then his hands up,
"Who are you?" one of them asked, staring Jacob down.
"I'm just a mercenary looking for a person," Jacob responds back.
"A mercenary? Never heard of that before, what does this mercenary do?" said the same person.
"I just do jobs to collect money, that's all there is to it," replies Jacob.
The group of people looked at each other and put their weapons down,
"We'll trust you for now, but one wrong move stranger and you'll be sorry," said the same person.
"I'll keep that in mind," said Jacob.
Jacob keeps his rifle holstered, knowing that if he suddenly brings it out, it will attract attention to him. He looks around the camp and sees that there are people who are selling items and someone who is selling weapons.
So Jacob walks up to the person who is selling items, as he approaches, he could see that they are tinkering with their prosthetic leg,
"What do you sell," Jacob asks. Looking at the many items and tidbits laid across a tarp.
The person looks up to see Jacob, "Many things, want to take a look?" they asked
Jacob thinks, "Sure, I see what you have,"
Jacob looks at most of items on sale and most of them are unusable to him, "Interesting selection you have," Jacob says slightly interested.
"Yeah, something catches your fancy?" said the item merchant.
"No," Jacob replies curtly.
The merchant taken aback by the curt reply, chuckles, "Well, that's unfortunate." They then stare at his equipment, "Also that equipment on ya, seems like something that YoRHa would make," said the item merchant, "another unit?"
Jacob under his helmet realized he needed info, so he tries to ask a question,
"No, just some wanderer. But I heard of YoRHa before, but I'm kinda out of the loop here?" asks Jacob.
"You seem like the kind of person kinda out of the loop. YoRHa is an organization that we work with. we help them, they help us, that sorta deal," said the item merchant.
"I see," Jacob could feel eyes on him, and not the kind anyways I gotta get going," Jacob says
"Of course, safe travels stranger," The item merchant says caring
Jacob then leaves the Item Merchant to go to the Weapon Merchant. Jacob looks at the weapons on display on a tarp, most of them were swords but there were guns as well, though they were AK's, AKM's to be exact, old but still capable of producing destruction. The weapon merchant notices Jacob taking a peek at his wares and notices Jacob's weapon, a weapon with the magazine in the rear,
"Nice rifle you got there, where'd you get it?" they asked
"Made it myself," said Jacob
"Must be quite the inventor," said the weapon merchant
"Yeah," Jacob replied, "we can go with that," Jacob whispered
"You say something?" asked the weapon merchant
"No, just wonder what kinds of weapons you make," Jacob asks
"Ah, you must've noticed, I make all kinds of doo-dads, from making weapons to enhancing your weapons," The weapon merchant says proudly
"I see, anyways, I'm looking for some people. Do you know the person who I talk to?" asked Jacob
"Yeah, you can talk to our leader, she's here in camp. The name is Anemone, you'll figure it out who it is," said the weapon merchant,
"Much appreciated," Jacob thanks.
Jacob leaves the weapon merchant to find Anemone, the leader of this camp. After wandering a bit he was able to locate them.
"So you must be that so-called mercenary?" asked Anemone.
"Yes, that would be right," Jacob replied.
"So what are you doing here then?" Anemone questioned.
"I'm looking for two people," said Jacob
"Really? And looking at your gear, it seems you aren't going to have a chat with them are you?" asked Anemone
"No, I'll have a nice discussion with them with bullets, in their head," Jacob joked
"That's a weird way to have a discussion but you do you I guess," replied Anemone
Then two people arrive in the camp, both with white hair, wearing black blindfolds in a black attire. One of them is female in a black Lolita gothic dress and the other a young male also in black gothic attire. They approached where Jacob and Anemone are,
"Ah 2B, you're back," said Anemone, "I heard from Jackass about your encounter in the desert. Good work."
The women in the black dress nods,
"We don't have much to offer in thanks, but I've readied you a room for you here." Anemone continued
"Oh?" asked 2B
"It's the least we can do. Feel free to use it however you like." said Anemone
"Okay, Thanks!" said the young man with the black blindfold
The two then left and went towards a room, in a nearby building,
"Who were those people?" asked Jacob
"Those two? That was 2B and 9S, they're from YoRHa, " replied Anemone
'YoRHa, again? Damn, I came here blind, well let's see if I could team up with them to get more info,' Jacob thought.
"It was nice meeting you," said Jacob
"Oh yeah me too, have safe travels," Anemone says back
Jacob then heads back to the alleyway to wait for the two YoRHa people. As an hour passed, 2B and 9S are about to exit the campsite before being confronted by Jacob who stand in their way,
"Is there something you need?" 2B asked
"Yeah, I do," Jacob replied, "you see I'm looking for two people, named Adam and Eve,"
"Go on," said 2B
"You see, My info is limited and I just got here, but I'm wondering if you two have any info on the two," Jacob asks
2B and 9S look at each other,
"Sorry, but we don't know anything about the two," replies 2B.
"Hmm, I see," says Jacob, he then steps aside and lets 2B and 9S through.
After 2B and 9S left, Jacob stands alone on what to do as he is limited in options.
"Alright, time get my thumb out of my ass and get moving," Jacob then grabs his rifle from his back and walks back into the ruined city.
Jacob goes to the open area from before and shoots at one of the small machines killing it, the other machines around it seemed indifferent to their companions demise. Jacob then approaches the machines only for them to become aggressive with their eyes beaming a glowing red.
"So it looks like if I get close enough you guys do get more aggressive," Jacob says curiously. He then shoots at the small machines killing them.
Jacob stands over the destroyed machines, he then pulls out his knife, and pushes the hilt to reveal a flathead screw head that protrudes from the bottom. He then covers the knife with the sheath and jams the screw head into one of the robots chest and pops it open.
He investigates the innards of the machine by forcefully tearing it apart with his flathead screw. The machine's oil leaks from its body and attaches onto Jacob's hands.
"Hm. Seems like this might prove as useful scrap, but otherwise not for much use," Jacob thought.
Jacob then wipes his hands onto the dirt to try and get any of the oil off his hands. He then walks back to the small pond and uses the water there to wash off any excess oil.
Jacob continued his journey within the confines of the destroyed city, exploring each inch of it to find his targets. As each passing hour grew longer, he stumbled upon a desert biome he heard of near the city ruins just east of the campsite he'd been at. Ahead was a person who was relaxing on a chair, under shade from a tent.
He walks past the person into the desert biome, with the person not batting an eye at Jacob. As Jacob walked through the desert, he could tell it was going to be scorching by how there was little to no vegetation as he continued, but with his suit– that could regulate his heat, it shouldn't be a problem in the slightest.
As he walked through the arid desert, he spotted an arch on his right which piqued his gut instinct, so he trekked towards the arch under the sun's unrelenting but glorifying rays.
Jacob reaches the arch and is now under it. It provided shade from the sun's heat but what intrigued Jacob the most was what was ahead. It was apartment buildings buried deep within sand with rubble desecrating the ground. So he walks towards to investigate, to only stop by an intense steep slope ahead of him.
"Well shit," he mumbled
Jacob looked behind him and back at the destroyed apartment complexes. Jacob clicked his tongue and quickly sighed. He then leaves the building and walks back.
He ventures through the sand dunes going up and down with his every step sinking into the sand making it hard to find a foothold. As he is at the top of a dune, he scans the area ahead to only see more sand covering the landscape. Then sounds come behind Jacob alerting him, he looks back and sees six of the same bipedal machines but this time they are wearing desert-like clothing unlike the ones in the city, which makes Jacob curious. But from the looks of it they aren't happy seeing Jacob as they have their eyes glowing a bright sinister red with sword-like weapons.
"Hm," Jacob scowled. He pulls up his rifle.
He fires his rifle in short bursts towards the machines knocking two down with the others on his way. Fortunately for him, he had the high ground, as well as the steep incline aiding him. The machines tried to get to Jacob only to be stopped by Jacob as they were too heavy and quickly sank into the sand, so Jacob swiftly shot the other four in quick succession.
Once the machines were eliminated, Jacob slid down the steep sandy slope to confirm that the machines that he shot were eliminated. He investigates each one making sure his rounds had surely eliminated them. Bullet holes riddled their heads, to make sure Jacob grabs his knife and pierces all six of the machine's heads. On the first one, he positioned his knife and raised it. Then forces his blade into the machine's head, securing the kill. He pulls his knife out, the machine's blood-like oil drenched the knife's blade coating it in a dark, brown, and viscous liquid. Suddenly, one of the machines spoke up,
"Android– why do you must harm us?" mutters one of the machines with a distorted mechanical voice, looking at Jacob.
Jacob stands, looks at the one who spoke, raises his rifle and with one shot, shot once again at them. Placing his shot in the head killing it. Jacob's gunshot pierced through the hot and arid air, "You were the one who attacked first," he uttered. "And another thing, I ain't an android,"
Jacob, once finished executing the remaining robots, he checked the gear of the machines to see if they had any useful gear on them so he could use it. But to no avail, so Jacob leaves the lifeless corpses on the sand with the sand dunes burying them, making their graves.
Jacob checks his ammo pouch, four full magazines and with his ammo counter showing '13' rounds in his gun. Jacob finds shade from the unrelenting sun and takes off his bag and pulls out a canteen and a 20 round box of 7.62x51mm BW. Jacob scans the area that he is in to make sure he won't be ambushed. Once he thinks the coast is clear he takes off his helmet, once he does a hot and blazing heat assaults his face. From the comfort of his air conditioned helmet to the hot and arid heat it made him glad that he had all this gear on in.
He opened his canteen to reveal water inside, on the first sip the cold water touched lips which are now chapped from being exposed to the intense heat for the first time. So the feeling of cold water entering his body felt like it was cooling the body down. After a few more sips, Jacob closes it and puts his helmet back on.
Jacob releases his magazine in his gun and holds it in his hand while placing his rifle in his lap. He opens the ammo box and inserts each bullet in the magazine counting from thirteen all the way to thirty two. As he counts, the wind sings a sorrowful tune to the desolate desert landscape.
Once he was done he put the remaining ammo back in bag and left the area heading back to the city ruins as he was done searching here.
As he is heading back, the sky blackens coating the sky in a dark menacing hue. Jacob rushes back to investigate what is happening. As he arrives he sees two colossal machines in the area towing over the tallest of building raising destruction in the area,
"The hell is happening?" he questioned
Then by response a laser blast near him, causing an explosion in its wake. Jacob is launched by the explosion and falls to the ground.
"Agh, shit!" he exclaimed, he then checked his body for any damage to him and viewed his HUD.
His energy shield took most of the damage and saved him, although now, almost depleted. He grabbed the small box from his pouch and grabbed the AI chip from inside, and inserted it into his helmet.
"A1E3, at your service Jacob," Alex says
"I need you to scan the area, fast!" Jacob ordered
"Understood, just give me a second," Alex replies, "You got fifteen incoming targets, 12 o'clock,"
Jacob focused his attention ahead and saw fifteen machines, thirteen bipedal: Three were tall machines that had metal shields, six were the short machines that were in the back with a gun attached to their chest, and the rest had no weapons. The last two were flying also with guns attached to their chest.
Jacob scans to his left and right, he sees a pillar to his left and rubble to his right. He quickly ran towards the pillar and readied his rifle. He grabs the charging handle of his rifle and checks the chamber of his rifle to see a bullet already seated.
Jacob takes a breath. He then peeked around the corner of the pillar with his rifle pointed down range. Once he chooses his targets, he pulls the trigger.
In short burst of gunfire, he takes out the flying machines first, causing them to crash into the ground and explode in a ball of fire. The other machines look at Jacob's location and advance towards him. Jacob focuses his attention onto the machines with the guns attached to their chest, eliminating them in quick succession.
Jacob glances at his ammo counter, '03', he presses the mag release in the back with his left thumb and the magazine falls to the ground.
He grabs a new magazine from his pouch and inserts it back into his rifle. All the while the machines are closely nearing him. He racks the charging handle and opens fire upon the machines once more, eliminating the smaller machines except the ones with the shields. Once eliminating the smaller machines the tall ones were already too close for Jacob to engage with his rifle, but he tried anyway. He shoots them in the legs which causes them to fall to the ground, exposing their head, Jacob takes the chance to shoot them in the head, eliminating his targets.
Jacob reloads his rifle, "Jacob, you got another wave incoming," said Alex
Jacob grits his teeth, "Fucking hell." He exclaimed, "How's the situation with the big two?"
"It seems like the giant robots are in combat with flying vehicles," Alex replies
"Okay, they're busy, I'll need to focus now on these smaller grunts. So shut until necessary!" Jacob ordered once more
"Yes sir," Alex complied
Then another wave appears in front of Jacob, this time with even more machines approaching him. From the previous 15 to a staggering 21 machines. This time with a machine the size of a four-story tall building.
"You gotta be kidding me," Jacob mutters, he then takes a quick breath and readies himself.
Suddenly, vibrations could be felt throughout the ground and a loud roar erupts throughout the area, then a blinding flashing light could be seen ahead of Jacob. An explosion follows thereafter with the results with the explosion wave knocking Jacob onto his back,
"Augh!" Jacob yelps in pain, as his vision blackens.
A2 fights off hordes of machines in the desert, with her weapons at her disposal she deals with them with ease.
After combat had ceased, she continued her search to find more machines to destroy until a large quick flash could be seen from the city ruins in the sky,
"What was that?!" A2 questioned, she then starts running towards the city ruins to investigate what had happened.
She arrives at the entrance from the desert to the city ruins to see a person in green armor with a black undersuit with a helmet on, on the ground on their back.
She walks to the person and investigates the person in question and stands over them, examining their armor and helmet,
"A machine?" A2 questioned, she then slightly tilts her head
Suddenly a voice could be heard in A2's head, "Hey there!"
This startles A2, "Who's there!?" as she pulls out a weapon from her back.
"Whoa there, I'm not here to harm you, My name is A1E3, or Alex," the voice responds
"How are you talking to me?" asked A2 cautiously.
"Through my partner's helmet and by wireless connection," Alex responds.
"Okay. So that means this person here on the ground is your partner?" A2 replied
"Indeed he is," Alex confirmed
"Okay, so why are you talking to me then?" asked A2
"I need you to take him somewhere safe from harm's way," replied Alex
"Why should I do that?" A2 questioned
"Just for me, so he can get back home safe," Alex replies
A2 looks at the person on the ground, "So if I do, what's in it for me?" A2 inquired
"You'll be greatly compensated for your actions," Alex answered
A2 sighed, "Alright then, where should I put him?" she asked
"Put him in a building that I found that is secure from machine threats," Alex replied
"And where would that be?" A2 replies
"I'll direct you," Alex answers
Alex directs A2 to a building that wasn't too far from the location that they were from, it was a small building with at least two floors. A2 carries Alex's partner in her arms into the building, and up a flight of stairs. A2 lies Jacob in the middle of the room, ordered by Alex.
"Now what?" A2 inquired
"Now? We wait until he wakes," Alex replies softly.
"Wait what?!" A2 says surprised, "you want me to stay here and watch him!"
But there was silence from Alex.
A2 sighed and looked at the person on the ground. She carefully analyzed his gear, it looked battered and has seen better days but it seemed like it would protect him well. She analyzed the helmet that covered his head, a pitch black visor covering his face concealing his identity. She crouched and reached out with her hands to take it off, but she stopped for a split second. She stares into the black visor trying to figure out who they look like from underneath, only to see her reflection from the visor. She then places her hands onto the man and slowly takes off the helmet, revealing their face. It revealed a man whose face has seen combat from thick and thin, with scars on near his chin and on his cheek.
She places his helmet off to the side and closely examined his face,
"Is he a... Human?" she says astonished, "I thought that humanity was on the moon?"
Jacob awakens to himself inside of a building, he faces the ceiling of the building. He just up to see that he still has all his gear on still intact with his helmet off and off to the side. Jacob grabs his helmet and puts it on concealing his face once more,
"So you're finally up," said a woman with long white hair, leaning on a pillar.
Jacob looks at the person, from his situation looked like he was placed somewhere safe with the white-haired woman being his savior, "Thanks for bringing me somewhere safe,"
"I don't need your thanks," said the woman, they then walk towards a nearby window.
"Thought you would appreciate it for helping me," Jacob replies.
"I did it because it made you look pitiful," replied the person hopping onto the window frame.
"Before you go, mind giving me your name?" Asked Jacob.
"A2," she then hops off the window.
"Jacob." he replies, "hope we meet again, A2,"
Jacob exits the building to see the city in more ruins unlike before so Jacob investigates what happened near the epicenter explosion. As he approaches the explosion site he sees that there is a giant hole in the ground that has another hole leading somewhere. Jacob slowly climbs down to the hole in the ground with the help of his jump jets. As he landed on the bottom of the hole, he could see many destroyed machines and parts of machines laying on the ground scattered. Jacob continues on to the other hole within the hole. As he arrives at the other hole he sees that it is a steep drop at least a 20-meter drop with shallow water at the bottom, Jacob takes a deep breath and steps back a bit,
"Alright," Jacob mumbled, he then started running and jumped into the hole.
Once he was about 12-meters down he activated his jump jets, reducing the impact of the landing while still splashing into the water. He looks around the area and sees that there are two entrances one to his left and to his right, unsure on where to go, he heads left.
As he entered through the left side, it was pitch black with torches already placed on the walls showcasing the earth walls that they were on. Jacob then turns on his night vision on his helmet to have a better visual of the area. As he looks around there are destroyed machines that are sliced up with their robotic parts and limbs scattered on the ground,
"Looks like I'm not the first one here," said Jacob, he pulls up his rifle and continues.
He continued into the depth of the hole to find that it was scattered with more destroyed machine parts on the floor,
"Somebody must hate these robots," Jacob quips.
As he ventures deeper into the cavern he faces a large door with alien-like scriptures written on it. As he approached the door, it automatically opened for him. Showcasing a hallway, Jacob checks his rifle, '32' his ammo counter says, he checks the chamber to see a bullet already seated. He takes a deep breath and walks forward into the hallway. He then hears fighting ahead and slowly approaches.
As he approaches the fighting, he sees a giant window with a destroyed spaceship behind it. As Jacob looks down he sees 2B and 9S fighting two other androids with white hair.
His instincts tell him to assist the YoRHa units, so he aims his rifle and fires. His shots ring out within the room only to be stopped by an invisible barrier.
"Oh? We have a guest?" said one of the androids, with longer hair. Suddenly four stopped their fighting with the long haired android disappearing then reappearing in front of Jacob.
"Hck!" Jacob hiccupped, surprised by the sudden appearance of the long haired android.
"Oh? You aren't made of metal but rather… Flesh!" the long-haired android says excited
Jacob froze, which was new to him, but he forced himself to move, and he stepped back gaining distance.
The long-haired android starts to laugh maniacally to himself,
"SO, THERE WERE HUMANS STILL ALIVE!" yelled the long haired android
Those words pierced 2B and 9S to the core, 'what did he mean by 'still alive'?' they both thought. Jacob though raised his rifle towards the long-haired android,
"Sorry for my rude introduction," said the long-haired android, "My name is Adam, it is a pleasure to meet you, dear human,"
"Adam?" Jacob thought, "must be him then, has to be,"
Jacob presses his finger onto the trigger of his rifle, before a yell from above him is heard, Jacob looks up and sees the other android, with short hair, about to hit him with his foot. Jacob jumps back and safely dodges,
"Eve, please don't kill this human, there is much I want to explore with it." said Adam
"But he was about to shoot you, brother," Eve counters,
"He was, yet you know we cannot die so easily," Adam rebuttals
Eve grunts with the two now focused onto Jacob,
"Let us take you with us human!" said Adam, before he dashes towards Jacob
"POD!" yelled 2B.
Then a small floating box transforms and starts to shoot in front of Adam, who stops by the gunfire in front of him. 2B and 9S land in front of Jacob shielding him from Adam and Eve, weapons drawn.
"Pod, protect the human," ordered 2B
"Understood," replied the pod
Then the same small floating box hovers next to Jacob, who glances at it,
Adam grunts, "Eve, let's go,"
"Okay, brother," Eve replies
Then the two disappear into thin air, leaving in a golden glow.
Once clear, 2B and 9S put away their weapons. 9S turns to Jacob,
"So you're a human?" Said 9S intrigued
"That I am," Jacob replies
"Then we must get you back to the Bunker then," said 2B
