BOOK ONE - PART ONE - CHAPTER NINE

"Ah—" Cat gasped and reached down to push Sam away. "Don't; I'm really sensitive now."

Sam didn't listen. She kissed the hollow of her hip and then down her inner thigh. After a minute or so, she gently ran her tongue over her clit again.

Cat gasped. "No—Sam, too much—"

Sam didn't stop what she was doing. "Does it hurt?" she slurred wetly.

"Well, not—not really, but…" Cat gasped again, and it ended in a breathy moan. "What are you even doing? I already..."

Sam didn't answer. She gradually applied more and more pressure with her tongue, responding to every reaction. Less than two minutes later, she could feel Cat trembling again.

"What the—how are you—" Cat clutched at the bedsheets. Her hips bucked and her toes curled as she lost herself for the second time tonight. She moaned loudly, tipping over the edge. This one was even more powerful than the first, and lasted almost thirty full seconds before her body finally went slack. She tried to catch her breath, feeling impossibly light. "Jeez, that was—" Cat gasped and opened her eyes to look down to find that Sam had already started right back up again, kissing and licking. "Aah—Sam, too much, too much—"

Sam didn't stop. She slid both of her hands underneath Cat's butt and grabbed a cheek with each hand, lifting her to her mouth, then continued her actions with even more enthusiasm.

Cat couldn't resist it. She was extremely sensitive now, and the sensation was too tempting. She gave out a soft grunt and ground herself against Sam's mouth. "Ohfuck, you're gonna make me come agai—fuck!" The pleasure washed over her again in waves. She was nearly gasping for breath once she came down and could hardly believe that Sam was still down there, working with determination. "Sam, it's really starting to get uncomfortable," Cat told her, although she wasn't sure she really wanted her to stop.

"One more," Sam slurred without stopping.

"But—"

"One more," Sam repeated, humming with excitement and putting even more effort in.

Cat whimpered, surrendering to the attention. "Feels so good…"

Sam growled with excitement, "Fuck, I love your pussy, Cat."

Cat normally hated that word, but she could listen to Sam say it over and over. She was drunk on her. A couple of minutes passed, and Cat could feel herself approaching the finish line for the final time. "Oh God, do that again—"

Sam repeated the action. "Mmmmlike that?"

"Yes, just like that; oh God, oh fuck—I'm gonna—Sam..!" Cat screamed her name as the feeling overtook her for the final time, zapping every last bit of energy that she had left.

Sam stayed down between her legs, drawing it out until she was sure she was spent. Then she urgently crawled on top of her and straddled her leg.

"Um, what are you—"

Sam buried her head in the crook of Cat's neck and gave a few little thrusts of her hips. Then her body went rigid, and she finally allowed herself to climax, giving out a grunt that ended with Cat's name, biting onto her shoulder. Cat held her while she shook—Sam felt warm and wet on her bare thigh. Her orgasm wasn't as explosive as Cat's, but she collapsed on top of her once it was over, exhausted.

Cat gave Sam a minute to catch her breath. Finally, she asked, "Did you come?" She was pretty sure she had, but she wanted to make sure. She wasn't about to let herself get away with doing nothing for Sam after being given repeated orgasms like that.

Sam lifted her head up. "Yeah, I did." She looked like she was worried she might've done something wrong. "Is that okay?"

"Of course it's okay," Cat giggled. She used her hands to wipe the messy wetness off Sam's face and chin. "I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one. Do you want me to..?"

Sam shook her head. She leaned in and kissed her slowly. The air was thick with the smell of sex, and the nearby windows were fogged up. They kissed for several seconds, then parted to catch their breath. Sam rolled off Cat and landed on her back on the bed beside her, holding her arms out. "C'mere."

Cat happily snuggled up to her side, resting her head on her good shoulder with an arm and a leg thrown over the top of her. Their sweaty bodies stuck together a little. They laid there together in the dark for a while, until Cat finally whispered, "Sam?"

"Mmmm?"

"Don't ever leave me again."

"I won't. I promise. You're stuck with me." Sam's arm wrapped around her and held her close.

Cat liked that answer. She closed her eyes. A whole thirty seconds passed, and she still hadn't fallen asleep, so she lifted her head up to speak, and was surprised to find Sam's face streaked with tears. Panicked, she asked, "What happened? What's wrong? Did I do something?"

"No," Sam choked out a laugh, embarrassed at being seen like this. "I'm okay. Happy tears, remember?"

"Are you sure?" Cat placed her hand on Sam's chest. "You don't regret what we just did?"

"Cat, what we just did made the last ten years worth it," Sam told her, knowing she'd never fully understand the gravity of the situation. "I'd do it all over again." And this is probably the best night of my life. She didn't say the last part out loud.

"Well, we wouldn't have had to go through all of this if you hadn't walked out on me in the first place," Cat remarked. She was smiling, but there was serious intent behind her words. Sam had broken her heart, and she needed to atone for that.

"Stupidest thing I ever did," Sam mumbled, her eyes closing, "And I've done a lot of stupid things."

"Well… it doesn't matter. You're here now. That's what's important," Cat murmured. "Even though I might have to tie you down next time we fight so you don't run away again."

"Nah, I think I'd rather tie you down," Sam chuckled sleepily.

"Oh, I'm sure you would." Cat snuggled in and kissed Sam's neck. "Maybe one day. If you're lucky."

"I consider myself to be a pretty lucky person," Sam responded smoothly. She didn't, really.

Cat couldn't stop grinning. "Goodnight, Sam."

Sam exhaled deeply. "'Night, Cat." She knew she would never feel this way about another human being. She had found her partner for life, and for the first time ever, she felt like she was exactly where she was supposed to be. The thought was enough to make more tears leak through her closed eyelids. She was finally home.
