Don't kill me! I'm so sorry this story is so behind. I don't have a lot of free time like I use to. Thank you all who left reviews on the last chapter as well as my short story "Prey". Enjoy!

Through the thickness of sleep, Yelena felt a gentle hand cup a swollen breast through her thin nightshirt and stirred, her back pressing firmly into the broad chest behind her.

"Hmmm..." she hummed softly, not bothering to open her eyes as teeth nibbled gently on her earlobe "What are you doing?"

"Take these off." The voice commanded, hooking a finder through the thin cotton underwear on her hips

"Uh uh, I'm trying to sleep." she whined in protest, gently nudging his hand away. She self consciously curled a hand under the steadily growing bump in her middle and tried to fall back into her blissful slumber.

He pressed his pelvis into her from behind, grinding his morning glory into her ass "I need you." he breathed into her ear

Even half asleep, she shivered, hating that he didn't have to try hard to arouse her in her pregnant state "I'm fully aware." she joked half heartedly as she adjusted her pillow "You're going to have to take one for the team. It's been a nonstop party on my bladder all night and I'm too tired."

"Way to kill the mood kid." He dared to slip his fingers in between her legs "You can tell lies all you want but your body never does sweetheart." he said, stroking her gently

"I'm exhausted." she whined childishly, but did nothing to stop his probing fingers

His lips found the sweet spot on her neck, taking the tender flesh in between his lips "I'll be quick." he said, hovering over her now, lifting her up to pull her panties off

"You always are." she said smartly. "Funny how these little quickies are what got us in this predicament we're currently in." she said, motioning to her middle.

In the glow of the early rising sun, she saw him narrow his eyes at her before claiming her lips with his for a sweet kiss

"I wouldn't change it for the world Mrs. Irvine." he said, lacing their fingers through hers.

The glint of the massive but elegant rock on her finger caught the strip of sunlight beaming into their bedroom and she grinned, loving the way her soon to be new title sounded coming from his lips.

"Now. I was going to take it easy on you, but I think I change my mind. Assume the position." he commanded, patting her hips

With a light chuckle, she got on all fours, her hair spilling over her shoulder

He ran the head of his erection down the slickness in between her legs, making her moan lightly in anticipation "Ready for me?"

She could only nod, too lost the feel of him.

He plunged into her and she let out a guttural moan, his name falling from her lip

"Chris." she panted lightly

Yelena shot up in bed, her green eyes wide.

The Great Dane, who was sleeping at the foot of her bed, lifted his head, his grey eyes staring at her curiously

She ran a shaky hand through her hair

"What the fuck?" she said aloud.

That dream... A little too close to home. It had been almost a week since she saw Chris and she couldn't get him off of her mind no matter how hard she tried.

And now he was affecting her sleep and invading her dreams

A lone tear ran down her face and she wiped at her face furiously, growing more annoyed with herself when the tears kept coming. This was really starting to take a toll on her.

A small flutter from her lower abdomen brought her out of her tearful state. It wasn't the normal flip flop she felt when she was nervous or upset. It was...

Her hand flew to the small bump in awe, waiting for it to happen again. She waiting for what seemed like an eternity and finally, the small kick came again. And again.

A grin bloomed over her face and she sniffed, wiping her wet face, grabbing her phone

Bane got up and trotted over to her side and let out a low whine and she shushed him as she dialed and the phone rang

"Rosa?" she said before the Latina could say hello

"Yelena? Is everything okay? What's wrong?"

She sniffled again "Nothing. I'm fine. Great actually. The baby just kicked."

"Omigod, really?! I'll be over in ten!"

"That is amazing." Rosa said, awestruck, her hand on the expecting woman's tummy

"Mmmmm." Yelena hummed in agreement. The spoon from the jar of Nutella she was currently devouring hung from her mouth, She was still in a state of shock, her mind on a thousand different things all at one time. Not to take away from the fact that her child was showing signs of life, she was more than thrilled, but she couldn't help the small part in her heart that was missing something...

A hand waved in front of her eye, freeing her from her thoughts "Yoo hoo, earth to Lena."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I said what's going on? Why do you seem so down right now?"

"I'm not..." she semi-lied

"Bull. This is a big milestone and you seem... Out of it. What gives?" Rosa pried

"Nothing! I'm just... I had a... Never mind it's not important." Yelena said lowly, returning her attention to the jar, now unenthused.

But Rosa, knowing her best friend, knew better than to let it go so easily "No tell me. Obviously it's bothering you. You had a what?" she coaxed

Yelena set the jar down on the coffee table, tucking a leg under herself. Her hand went to the dainty sunflower pendant around her neck, twisting it on the gold chain "I... Had a dream... And... I wish it wasn't a dream."

"What was it about? Or better yet, who?"

Heat rose in her cheeks

"Oh my god, you had a wet dream about Wade didn't you?"

"God, no! Rosa, seriously!?" Yelena exclaimed

"Whew." The Latina huffed, wiping her brow in exaggeration "Then I'm going to assume it had to be about you're baby daddy."

"How did you know?" Yelena asked sadly

"Only he could ruin the mood like this." Rosa said, rolling her brown eyes. Yelena lowered her eyes, picking at the imaginary lint on her couch and the Diva's heart fell for her friend "You miss him?"

"Is that bad?"

"Not at all. I mean, you two just about tore each other to shreds, but obviously there's some sort of weird thing between you. He is the father of your baby. It's okay to say you miss him." Rosa said, patting her shoulder in comfort

"But I shouldn't. I shouldn't miss him. He put me through so much."

"But honey, you have to remember that you went back to him despite it all. That has to count for something."

"Since when are you on his side and not mine?" Yelena asked, rolling her own green eyes

"You know I'd go to war for you in a heartbeat chica, but I'm on the kid's side this time.

"In the dream... We were engaged Rosa. In what sort of parallel universe would that happen?"

"I think this is like some sort of sign. You see him at John's party. You have a dream about him and you wake up and the baby kicks for the first time. Things like that are not to be taken lightly."

"Which reminds me. Why didn't anyone think to give me a heads up that he was coming anyway? That would have helped out tremendously."

"No one knew! He was suppose to be on tour, Nikki said he just showed up." Rosa defended

"So he just so happened to be in Florida and shows up at the party?"

"Honey... Please tell me that you know he has a house out in Orlando."

The color drained from the pregnant woman's face "Do you seriously think I would have moved all the way out here if I had?"

"I thought you knew. Everyone knows that. Another sign." she pointed out much to her annoyance.

"So what are you saying?" Yelena asked, flustered.

"I'm saying..." Rosa said calmly "that maybe you should talk to him and-"

"No fucking way." she objected before the Latina could finish her sentence

"Here me out!" Rosa insisted, trying not to deter her

"And what, pray tell, should I say to him? Hey Chris, I decided not a abort your kid after all and I'm going to need child support for the next eighteen years?"

"I don't think that's how he's going to take it."

"Please." Yelena said, palming her face "He's going to think I didn't this to spite him. You might as well write 'Gold Digger' across my forehead."

Rosa let out an aggressive sigh at her stubbornness "I have to disagree. I don't think that's how he'll see it at all."

"Yeah well you don't know Jericho like I do." she said, picking up the remote and turning on the television, her attention returning to the jar of Nutella, politely ending the discussion.

Go talk to him. What was she, nuts?

"Things that I've done Have turned out all wrong The time I spent with you Seems twice as long I just can't get away From the chess games that you play I'd set myself on fire If it would help me to escape"

"I can't get rid of you You're like a bad tattoo And you never go away No matter what I do After all that I've been through I need somebody new I can't wash you away You're like a You're like a bad tattoo"

"That was great. I don't know what's gotten into you, but keep it up."

Chris removed the headphones from his ears, hanging them in the mic "Play that back one more time" he said, coming out of the recording room.

His brain had been a boggled mess for days and the only scape goat was music. Low and behold: a new song came out of it.

His phone rang from across the room and he excused himself when he glimpsed at the name on the screen, going out into the hall

"Mr. McMahon, just the man I've been trying to reach."

"Cut the bullshit, Jericho, I've been calling you for weeks. I hope you finally decided to call back to talk about business." the Chairman said bluntly

"Actually, yes. That is why I called. How soon can you set me up with your suited monkeys on a comeback?"

"Fly out to headquarters in two days and we'll draw something up."

"Blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah! BLAH BLAH BLAH! Blah blah!" he said stomping around in circles before getting in the man's face "Blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah, blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. Where is CM Punk?" Chris asked Paul Heyman

Damn it was good to be back. He had missed the roar, the adoration of the crowd. Why has he been so hesitant to come back in the first place.

He was met in the back by his usual gang, congratulating him on being back.

"So does this mean I get a go at ya next?" Sheamus said with a grin

"Wait your turn asshole." he joked.

After he was on his way out, he was pretty much jumped by the locker room

"Welcome back amigo!" del Rio said, joining them

As much as he loved the semi-hero's welcome, he had a bone to pick

"Mendes." Chris said, nodding her in a more quiet direction with his head.

She looked at him, skeptical, but followed

When they reached a private corner away from prying ears, he looked the Diva dead in the eye, all business "Where is she?"

He didn't have to say her name. He knew she would know who he was referring to. He stood waiting. Watching her face for any sign that he would tell a lie. Surprisingly, she didn't give any inclination that he was going to lie.

"I'm under no obligation to tell you that." she finally said with ease

"I know you know where she is. I saw you at Cena's party with her, I know you two are still in touch."

"She'll be very upset with me if I go against her wishes. If she wanted you to know where she was, she wouldn't have left you in the blind about it."

"She and I have unfinished business. Surely you know that."

"The beer bottle to the head obviously didn't get the point across I guess." Rosa said sarcastically

His fist clenched angrily. God if she wasn't a woman, he would have dropped her on her head "Are you going to tell me where she is or not?" he demanded

"No! You've caused Yelena nothing but heartache and misery. Why should I? What have you done that is so deserving of knowing where she is? So you can put her through hell and back again? How many times can you stomp all over one person's heart? She quit and skipped town because of you!" You're no good for her and I refuse to watch you put her through that shit again!"

His shoulders dropped, his head faltering slightly at the cruel reality of her words. She was right.

Rosa looked conflicted watching his reaction and for a second she felt a twinge of sympathy for him, but it was her job as a best friend to let him have it after all he did.

And yet...

"Answer me this" she said finally. Her best friend was going to skin her alive for this, but damn it, she wanted what was best for her even if she felt that Chris wasn't.

She had to remind herself that it wasn't about her or Chris. Or Yelena for that matter. She was on the third party's side "Miles down the road from now, do you think she's going to look back on this conversation and thank me?"

"With Yelena, you'll never know. But I will. If that means anything to you." he said honestly. He let out a sigh, not liking the sense of urgency running though him or the fact that he was begging the woman who took a beer bottle to his skull not too long ago. "I can't go on with my life if I don't get this thing off my chest. Just this one time, I need you to forget your honor and loyalty."

Rosa closed her eyes and sighed "Do you have your phone on you?"

Chris reached into his leather pocket, pulling out his iPhone, handing it to the Latina

She punched in a few buttons and handed it back to him "She never said anything about giving out her phone number. If you fucking hurt her again, a beer bottle will be the least of your worries when I'm through with you." the Diva said coldly "If Yelena doesn't get to me first." she muttered, shoving past him

"Mendes." he called after her

"What?" she called, looking back

He tucked the device safely away in his pocket before sending her a curt nod "Thanks. This was real decent of you. Therapy worked wonders on you, I'm actually impressed with your progress."

She rolled her eyes, the corner of her mouth turning up in a half smile "Welcome back asshole."

In his hotel room, freshly showered and settled in , he sat for what seemed like hours, staring at the saved contact in his phone, his thumb hovering over the phone icon to dial out the number. She had changed her number for the second time. She had also changed her appearance. It was weird, seeing her looking so tan and radiant, her hair dark.

But she looked just as beautiful as the last time he had seen her on her birthday, the glow around her almost palpable. She had been carrying their child then and he had to reel himself back in to his proper senses.

He wanted answers. She owed him that much after all she had done. And he was going to get clarity once and for all so he could close the chapter for good.

Setting the phone down he sighed, turning out the lights. Tomorrow. He had waited this long. What's another day?

So Rosa does have a heart. That's all fine and dandy, but will Yelena see it the same way? Thank you all for reading. Until next time!
