Chapter 44 Ruined Future

At the future, Kabuto and the others exited and landed on a roof with the rest failing on they're butts.
"Ow." Ruri said.
"Where are we?" Stella said.
Kabuto looks around and sees the destroyed future.
"Oh, look who's here! I didn't expect to see you guys."
They looked up and saw Rouge, Shadow, Hajime and the others of they're group.
"Guys!" Kabuto said.
"Rouge! Shadow!" Tails said.
"Long time no see." Rouge said.
They went together to look around more.
"This is the distant future, far removed from our own timeline." Shadow said.
"The future? Then that means Eggman's machine can control time!" Tails said.
"Shinji... Can't you travel back in time?" Fuki said.
"Only for me, I can't bring all of you too." Kabuto said.
"Well too bad." Sonic said. "Eggman has a lot of nerve sending us here."
Knuckles kicks a rock. "Now, how can we get back to our own time?"
"You need a space-time rift, but this requires a lot of energy." Shadow said.
"Which means we would need something to power it up." Hajime said.
"Yes, it will be hard." Yue said.
Kabuto thinks of something and takes out his chaos emerald. "Will this help?"
"How did you get that?" Shadow was surprised.
"The same guy that sent me and a few friends to the world the others were gave me this, he said theres a second set that is lost from a different world." Kabuto said.
"Then maybe one of those other emeralds could be here." Sonic said.
They looked foward and Hajime said: "Let's go." He gets his driver.
He inserts the charger and pulls the trigger. "Henshin."
KNIGHTMARE!
He transforms into Kamen Rider Knightmare surprising Kabuto.
"Your a Kamen Rider now too?" Kabuto said.
"Yeah, thanks to you." He said.
"Well let's go." Kabuto said and they went foward.
They slide down the area as Kabuto and Sonic went one way while Shadow and Knightmare went the other side.
Shadow and Knightmare blasted many rubble that came down towards them, Kabuto and Sonic went foward avoiding many obstacles.
"We need to find one of those emeralds and quick." Knightmare said.
Kabuto jumps over a ramp and looks around. "If not Mephiles will win."
Shadow looks around and senses something, he saw a silver emerald on the side and goes towards it.
He grabs the emerald and looks at it. "This must be for that other rider."
Knightmare saw that and nodded. "Let's go see Shinji's group."
Kabuto was with Knuckles, Sonic and Tails going down a corridor.
"No matter where we go, all we see are ruins. How can this be our future?" Knuckles said.
"How could it come to this?" Tails said.
Sonic notices gas flowing from a room that is slightly opened with various notices and warnings on the door. The four of them turn to have a peak inside to discover what's happening within.
They saw Silver and Blaze there with Mephiles, making Kabuto shocked.
"Could it be true? If I eliminate that guy, will our world be saved?" Silver said.
"The Day of Disaster... Here are my records of this event. This was when Iblis was freed and his flames were released into the world." Mephiles presses a key. The screen then displayed screenshots from the present timeline." And you have this person to blame."
Mephiles holds his purple Chaos Emerald out. Silver takes a hold of it and stares at it. The background shifts to a stream of fire surrounding Sonic as he turns to face the camera with a stern look on his face.
"I see it! So, That blue hedgehog's the Iblis Trigger?" Silver said.
"A blue hedgehog..." Blaze said.
"I'll send us back in time to the point when the Iblis Trigger was alive." Mephiles makes a purple orb sending them to the past.
The group then went in.
"What the... Who was that guy? He looked just like Shinji..." Knuckles said.
Tails types on the computer. "Th-This is terrible! According to the data, the Princess died when she was kidnapped by Eggman! Apparently Eggman's battleship exploded The date of this incident was... two days after the Festival of the Sun!"
Kabuto was shocked to hear that and got angry.
"If we don't return in time, Elise will die onboard Eggman's battleship. That means..."Sonic said.
"Let's go!" Kabuto said.
They went to meet up with the other group and Rogue. "You guys are so slow. Look."
Knightmare shows the silver emerald. "This belongs to you Shinji."
"A Chaos Emerald! You've already found one!" Tails said.
Kabuto takes the emerald and said: "Now I have two of them."
"Well now... I may not look It, but I'm a real treasure hunter. Unlike a certain echidna I know." Rouge said.
"What?" Knuckles said.
"Please don't fight against each other" Aiko said.
The group went foward and Kabuto looks at Hajime. "You changed a lot since the last time we met."
"Yeah, it's a long story, but that bastard Daisuke attacked me and sent me off a bridge." Knightmare said.
Kabuto got angry hearing that. "Well he got what he deserved."
"Yeah." Knightmare said.
They went to a open area and Kabuto takes out the two emeralds as Sonic and Shadow hold them too, they were able to make a portal with Chaos Control.
They went towards it but then Shadow saw Mephiles making him go after him.
Knightmare was the last one but then noticed Shadow going. "Shadow!" He goes after him.
The others noticed that and Myu said: "Papa!" But the portal closed making the group seperated from the two.
Note: Here's the future chapter and they found a different Chaos Emerald that belongs to Shinji's set, Hajime went with Shadow this time to help him out.
