The Race to The Gold

Izuku was now hyping himself up. He was going to fight one of his best friends in the semi-finals, but he felt kinda conflicted about it. It was going to be hard to fight someone you care about in the finals. He sighed as the door to his waiting room was opened only for Setsuna to pop in. The girl still didn't have her hands; right now her shoulders were formed and were almost over to the elbow, but surprisingly she can use her feet, in place of her hands, good.

She walked over to him, "What's on your mind, greenie?" the girl smiled at him making him blush.

The boy scratched his head, "I don't know. I'm worried about my match with Tetsu. I just don't want this fight to affect our friendship in any way or form. I'm afraid if I hold back, he might be angry at me," the girl nodded her head, "and I'm also afraid that if I overdo it and overshadow him, he might be upset that I made all his hard work seem for none." The boy heard her giggle as a thought crossed his head, 'Her giggle is cute…' he registered this thought as he shook his head.

The girl continued to giggle, "You know something…" The boy looked at her, "You're kinda adorable when you're overthinking stuff like this." A huge blush made its way to Izuku's face. The girl herself blushed, but she kept it under control as she detached her head putting it over Izuku's head, "Why do you think that Tetsu of all people will be mad at you for showing what you have in your arsenal? If anything, he will be angry if you overdo it and hurt yourself, or underdo it like Todoroki from 1-A when they fought, and he won without much effort, or so he thinks."

Izuku then presses his fingers together, "So what are you saying?"

The girl responded by biting the top of his head causing him to yell out in pain, "Just do your best greenie. Tetsu isn't expecting you to go All Might on him nor is he expecting to become a wet noodle when you two begin beating the shit out of each other. Just fight to the best of your abilities, ok?" the girl reattached her head back to her body as she smiled softly at him.

The boy in a bold move hugged her making her blush a little, "Thanks you helped me clear my mind a little. I needed this talk to put me back into shape." The boy then raised his fist saying, "Fist Bump"

The girl raised an eyebrow as she waved around her handless arms causing the boy to blush, and waves his hands around in an awkward manner, 'You know he's actually adorable when he's acting like geeky like this… I seriously need to stop this.' She suddenly remembered the day she saw him topless as a blush made its way to her entire face. She walked out of the room yelling, "Good luck out there, greenie."

The boy was confused as to why she left so quickly but shrugged as a voice came through the speakers, "Can Izuku Midoriya and Tetsutetus Tetsutetsu of class 1-B make their way to the ring."

The boy stood up, and exited the room saying, "Well, here goes nothing."

Izuku was walking toward the ring to begin his fight with Tetsu. He was still worried, but he was now more comfortable with it. It was just the thought of his current friendship ending like what happened with Bakugo that irked him; he just didn't want to lose his friends.

The boy was so distracted that he didn't notice the figure that stood in front of him. The boy bumped into him, causing him to hit the ground with a thud. The boy quickly scrambled, "I'm so sorry, sir. I was a…" The boy's words died in his throat as he saw the person he bumped into was none other than the flame hero: Endeavor. The boy gulped, "Sorry sir, but I really have to go. sorry for bumping into you." The boy tried to run away from the flame hero, but the flame hero grabbed him.

The hero then spoke, "You're the kid with that strength quirk. Some are even comparing your power to that of All Might." The hero paused before resuming, "I heard your conservation with my son, or at least most of it. I have to say you had some interesting things to say to him." the hero stopped a little, "You see my son as a joke to your struggles in life. You most likely see him as someone who was born with an amazing gift putting it to such a waste, while you had to claw your way to get here only for your efforts to be finally rewarded. I respect that. you and I both agree that Shoto needs to use his fire, so that's why I want you to come to my agency during the internships so Shoto can use it."

The boy was shocked by the flame hero; he would have thought that Endeavour would look down on someone who was quirkless till not so long ago, but it appears that everyone has their own saving graces, and Endeavour's own saving grace is that he likes people who work hard. And the offer was tempting, but it was also wrong. He knew that if he went there, he will only be a pawn. Izuku shook his head, "I'm sorry sir, but I can't accept the offer as tempting as it is. I have to refuse it."

The man scowled, "Why not? Not everyone has the number two hero personally offer them an internship."

Izuku replied, "It's because I won't learn anything. Both you and I know that you only want me there to push Todoroki to use his fire, so I will only be a pawn who will be discarded the moment he outlived his usefulness. Second, your plan will backfire because Todoroki will know why you picked me, and it will strengthen his resolve to never use his fire to destroy whatever small progress I did with him. Third, Todoroki needs to realize on his own that his flames are only part of him to help him reach his true potential, he doesn't need an outside factor." he walked away, "I'm sorry, but I can't. it's just not possible."

Izuku was already past the flame hero who said, "You know it's Shoto's duty to surpass All Might."

The boy stopped a little remembering what Shoto told him about the flame hero and what he did, "Do I look like All Might to you?"

The flame hero scoffed, "Of course, not…" the boy cut him off, "That's because I'm not, and Todoroki isn't you." Izuku walked away quickly.

The flame hero was shocked that someone dared to cut him off, but this only increased his interest in the boy. He will still send him an offer and hope that the boy actually takes it, and come to his agency.

In the ring, Present Mic began his announcement for the matches of the semi-finals, "Hello there party people, we've come to the semi-finals of the sports festival or as I like to call it; the race to the gold. Now without further ado, let's begin the introductions of the semi-finals, on one hand, we have the iron wall of 1-B, he's the greatest defense anyone can ask for, it's Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu. Let's give him some love." The metal boy waved his arms to the people cheering him, "on the other, we have the one everyone is rooting for, he's the plain-looking butt-kicking green machine, the vice of 1-B, give it up for Izuku Midoriya." The boy waved his hands shyly to the fans as his face went red.

He looked at his opponent and smiled. Tetsu yelled, "Hey Mido-bro, don't hold back on the account that we're friends. I want you to come at me with the hardest thing you have. If I win this thing, I want you to be at your best."

Izuku replied, "Same here."

In 1-B's booth, everyone was now putting their bets on who will come out victorious as Setsuna asked, "So anyone has an idea who will win this?"

Ibara put a thumb on her chin, "I don't know, but both are strong. Looking at it objectively, none have the edge over the other, while Midoriya is the unstoppable force, Tetsu is the unmovable object. It seems that it's a match of endurance, and who can be the last one standing." The girl finished as everyone looked at her. She blushed saying, "It would appear Midoriya is rubbing on me too." Everyone laughed at this. Awase didn't know why, but he felt jealous all of a sudden.

Setsuna then leaned back as she said, "Well, I'm positive that Greenie has this in the bag. No offense to Tetsu, but the guy seemed worn out from his fight with Todoroki, so I guess he'll fold when the match begins."

Kendo replied, "Are you kidding me? Tetsu is still strong as ever. I'm sure he can do it. I mean if Midoriya just overdoes it a little bit, he'll break his arm, and Tetsu will then throw him out of the ring."

Both girls then looked at each other, and everyone swore that lighting ignited between them. Kinoko shyly said, "Can't you guys cheer for both of them? I mean they're both our friends, and it seems wrong to cheer for one person."

Both girls looked at her and said, "right."

Setsuna then said, "But just in case, if Greenie wins, I want Kendo here to buy me dino biscuits and nuggets for an entire month." The orange-haired smirked, "And If Tetsu wins, no teasing anyone for a month." The green-haired girl shivered at the thought, but said, "Deal"

In All Might's booth, the hero was sitting with his homeroom teacher who mused, "It appears that this is a match of strength unlike the last one. In this one, it's the person who manages to last the longest who wins." All Might agreed with his teacher.

In the ring, Midnight walked onto the stage saying, "Alright boys, so far so good. I don't need any unnecessary injuries or life-threatening stunts." She looked at Izuku remembering his first match, "And no bone breaking, I forgot to tell you that the last time, but this time I won't." the boy chuckled as he gave her a shaky thumbs up. The hero then raised her whip and brought it down, "Begin."

With that, Izuku activated his quirk at 10% as he raced toward his friend who covered his forearms in steel. The boy reeled back a right hook and slammed it against the metal boy's body, but Tetsu shrugged it off as he yelled, "Harder".

The metal teen then delivered a haymaker toward the boy who ducked under it before retreating and coming with one of his own, but Tetus then met fist with his own. The metal boy then delivered a devastating knee to the stomach making Izuku cough. The metal teen smiled, "Heh, I got first blood."

Izuku smirked as he then delivered, "10% Delaware Smash," he sent very strong pressurized wind toward the metal teen who had to cover himself in metal to prevent himself from flying off the ring. Once the wind died down, he looked only to see a fist in his face. The boy tumbled back, as he heard Izuku say, "We're now even."

Both teens lunged at each other, Izuku tried to sweep Tetsu's feet from under him, but the boy saw this and jumped up avoiding the hit. He in return tried to hit the boy, but he avoided the metal punch which left a hole in the ground.

Izuku then delivered two more pressurized air attacks which hit him in the stomach making him stagger back. The boy took advantage of Tetsu's current state and attacked him delivering a punch to the face followed by a kick to the side. The boy jumped into the air to deliver an axe kick, but Tetsu in a burst of speed grabbed his leg and slammed him into the ground.

"I'm not going down that easily." The metal boy said as he punched a downed Izuku, and tried to pin him down, but the boy used his legs to tackle him to the ground.

Izuku jumped away as he managed to free himself from the metal teen. The iron boy stood up as he yelled, "Come on, Mido-bro. let's keep this going on. This is so manly."

Izuku then thought of something, so he looked at Midnight, "on what terms is it considered a loss if someone is out of the bounds?" he said as he ducked under a punch from Tetsu before replying with his own.

The R-Rated heroine hummed, "The moment his feet touch the ground, he's out."

The green-haired thanked her and ducked under Tetus's elbow before delivering a strong uppercut causing the boy to back down. Izuku then set his plan in motion as he blasted Tetsu with a finger blast. He began moving around the boy blasting him repeatedly with air blasts till the boy stood in the center of the ring. The metal boy yelled, "That won't work Mido-bro. you have to try harder than this to get me out of the ring."

He got his answer as Izuku said, "And who said anything about you going outside the ring?" the metal looked at him as Izuku said, "Full Cowling: Burst Style 15%" The boy jumped out of the ring causing Tetsu to yell, "No not like this."

Midnight told him, "He's still in as long as his feet don't touch the ground." The metal boy looked and saw for a moment Izuku crouching sideways on a wall, but he began to bounce from one wall to the other causing a strong wind to occur in the field, 'What are you planning Mido-bro? I bet it's so cool, but I also have my own trump card. I just have to use it at the right moment.'

The bouncing continued as Tetsu tried to keep up as he jumped from one to the other, but eventually, Izuku was just a lighting blur, "I can't keep up with him. he's too fast." Suddenly, he felt a strong pain in his cheek as he noticed a green lighting blast near him.

Then he noticed felt a strong pain in his chest. He tried to punch Izuku, but the boy resumed his bouncing from one to the other. "Damn it, he's just too fast to keep up with."

This continued for a while till the people began to notice a square with an X of lighting forming down on the field. This caused Present Mic to ask, "What in the world is Izuku Midoriya doing? And what's happening down there with that square of lighting?"

Aizawa replied, "Midoriya is using a pressurized field attack to destroy the ring perhaps to knock his opponent out of the ring, or perhaps to overwhelm him with speed given that he is punching him repeatedly and keeping him in the center. I think the next moments will explain to us what will happen."

In the teacher's booth, Vlad yelled, "GOOD WORK BOYS, YOU'RE MAKING ME PROUD. SHOW THE WORLD WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF."

Snipe then said, "Vlad, you do know that the boys are fighting each other right, and Midoriya is about to, in theory, destroy the ring."

The blood hero shrugged, "Meh, who hasn't?" the other teachers then nodded. They all heard a shattering sound.

Back in the ring, Izuku was now close to his goal as he mentally said, 'This is gonna suck, 'One for All' Full Cowling: 20%, Burst Style' The boy increased his speed as he felt his bones urging him to stop, but it all came to fruition as the ring shattered into pieces as he saw Tetsu's metal recede meaning that the boy used his reserves for the day.

"You're really cool, Tetsu." The metal boy looked up to see Midoriya in the air, above him, "When I saw your ultimate move, I knew I had to come with one myself, so I prepared this one just for you." Izuku proceeded to lift his leg high into the air, "Shoot Style: Manchester Smash" The boy brought his leg down impacting the metal boy on the head causing him to hit the ground as a small cloud of dust formed.

In 1-B's booth, Setsuna looked at Itsuka with a smug look, "Well, I tried to warn you carrot head, but you didn't your lesson. I told you Greenie had this in the bag, but I get why you cheered for metal head, and I don't blame you." The orange-haired girl raised her eyebrow asking her what she meant as Tokage carried on without a care in the world, "Really, I don't… I mean if my crush was fighting down there I would support him till the very end."

The effect was immediate as Kendo's face burned up giving Izuku's face of embarrassment a run for his money, before she calmed down, "Well, what do you say about yourself and Midoriya? You become like a blushing maiden whenever he looks in your direction." Kendo teased the lizard girl who blushed a little as Kinoko watched with amusement with a small notebook that said 'Blackmail Material', while others were simply laughing at them.

Tokage replied, "That's not true. I just respect Greenie and think he looks really good. I mean even Ibara blushed when he looks her direction, and she's our class's virgin Mary." The girl in question blushed being mentioned.

Ibara interjected from the side, "I can't just help it. Midoriya is so nice to everyone. It has that effect on people." Others nodded with her.

Setsuna looked at her with an unimpressed look, "Not helping me here. Anyway, I like my dino nuggets spicy, so make sure you buy them for me that way." She reclined in her chair as she looked at Kendo, "Don't feel bad. It's just that my luck is good today, or at least right now." She shivered remembering her fight against Bakugo, but at least she gave a good fight.

Itsuka crossed her arms with a determined look, "It's not over till Midnight says so, but till now she didn't so that means that Tetsu is still game, and there is a chance that he might win."

Setsuna rolled her eyes as Kinoko said, "Look down there." Both girls looked and were dumbfounded.

In All Might's booth, the blond hero looked at his protégé's fight as he mentally said, 'Young Midoriya, the moment I saw that you're about to fight young Tetsutetsu, I was afraid that your friendship with him might hinder you, but…' the hero clapped both his hands together as he carried on with a smile, '…I was worried for nothing.'

He looked at his teacher, "So, this means that young Midoriya will fight whoever wins the next fight." He then noticed his teacher's face in extreme concentration as the old man said, "This is far from over. The battle is still going on down there."

The blond looked down as the smoke cleared and saw something that shocked him, 'I must admit that young Tetsutetsu is resilient if anything, but for how long can he keep this up?'

Back in the ring, Mic yelled through the speakers, "What in the world just happened down there? One minute Midoriya is acting like a jack in the box bouncing from one place to the other, and suddenly the field was blasted into bits and pieces. The boy then become a living missile as he slammed Tetsu into the ground. What does Vlad teach his kids?"

Eraserhead said calmly through the speakers, "As I said, Midoriya went for a pressurized field attack in hopes of causing very huge damage, and it seems it paid off since his opponent lost his steel armor before Midoriya managed to hit him causing Tetutetsu to dive headfirst into the ground, but the actual question is; did he manage to defeat, or did Tetsutetsu manage to pull out a last moment miracle to prolong the fight?"

Izuku looked at the area as he surveyed the damage his attack caused. The boy didn't know what caused him to come up with such a risky plan, but in the end, it paid out even though his body was hurting him for using 20% for so long. Now, he only needed Midnight to announce his…

The boy was sent flying away as he felt something smash against his face. He looked with a dumbfounded face as he saw Tetsu come out of the dust shining like a polished piece of jewelry, "THAT WAS SO AWESOME, MIDO-BRO, BUT LIKE YOU SAID; I ALSO HAVE AN ULTIMATE MOVE."

Izuku was shocked. He was sure that Tetsu can't access his titanium form due to it being used in the previous matches, but here he was. "Shocked that I can use it, right?! I know, but I had just enough titanium shavings to make it work."

Izuku then ducked as he dodged any other punch from the metal boy as Mic's voice yelled from the speakers, "What the hell people? Even after a vicious attack from Midoriya, Tetsutetsu is still fighting and even managed to put the green bean on the defense. Seriously, what do you feed your kids, Vlad?"

In 1-B's booth, Kendo looked at Setsuna with a very smug-looking face that didn't match her big sister persona, "See, didn't I told not to count Tetsu out yet? But you know what I can't blame you for believing in your crush…"

Itsuka looked at Setsuna who was staring deeply into the field, but the lizard girl replied, "It's over greenie won." Everyone was taken aback by her proclamation, but she simply pointed down to the field.

Itsuka frowned when she looked down as she said, "Dammit so close."

Awase leaned toward Shishida and whispered, "Do you get what's going on right now?" the beast boy shrugged not having the slightest clue.

Everyone then continued watching the battle.

In the ring, Izuku and Tetsu continued to duke it out as they kept exchanging blows with each other, and both were reaching their limits. "This… is… awesome…" Tetsu said through breaths.

Izuku looked at him with a concerned expression. He has been like this ever since they continued their fight. Each time he punched him, he got worse as if it became harder to keep carrying on… 'Wait a minute' the boy charged up his quirk to 10% and punched him in the gut making Tetsu rail back as he struggled to stand.

Everything then clicked in Izuku's head, "Now, I get it." this caused the metal boy to look up from his crouched position, "Your quirk is different from Kirishima from 1-A." Tetsu tilted his head wondering where Izuku was going. To him, his quirk was obviously different.

"You can't take a beating as he does." Izuku explained shocking the metal boy, "While your quirk gives you resistance to the elements such as ice and fire, it gets weaker when you get a good beating. That's you became a little bit loopy." Izuku finished as Tetsu gaped at him before laughing a little.

Tetsu shook his head, "Guilty as charged Mido-bro. As you said, I can't take a beating or I can but it depends on the circumstance of said beating." He took a deep breath, "Right now, I'm on my last leg and I can't keep up any further, but I want us to finish this 'plus ultra' style, so let's finish this fight of ours with a huge bang."

Izuku smiled, "I wouldn't want it any other way." He charged up his quirk to 15% as he charged at the metal boy who in turn charged toward him.

"Detroit…" Izuku said railing his fist back as Tetsu lifted his fist in the air, "Titanium…"

"Smash" "Fist"

Both hits made contact with their targets. Izuku was hit on the chest and Tetsu was socked in the face. Izuku was sure that the metal boy managed to break a rib or two. He knew that Recovery Girl will not be pleased right now when he goes to her.

Izuku looked as Tetsu hit the ground with his armor receding. Midnight walked up to the destroyed ring and stood above Tetsu as she said, "Tetsutetsu is unable to continue. Izuku Midoriya moves on." The boy chuckled as Midnight looked at him saying, "Well, that was quite the show, young man. Cementoss wasn't too pleased with your stunt though." the boy looked at the cement hero who simply shook his head in exasperation.

The boy laughed a little, "Well, I needed to give it my best." He then felt his body sway as he said, "If you don't mind, I think that I'm going to sleep for a while." The boy then tumbled over as exhaustion finally caught up with him.

Midnight then called two medical stretchers to take the boys to Recovery Girl who will not be pleased after what she saw right now.

A small break was then announced to fix the field.

In the infirmary, Both Izuku and Tetsu were cowering for their lives as Recovery Girl kept hitting them with her cane, "YOU HUGE MORONIC IDIOTS, DO YOU HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA WHAT DAMAGE DID YOU TWO DO TO YOUR BODIES IN THIS LITTLE FIGHT OF YOURS?"

Tetsu made the mistake of asking her, "Honestly, I have no idea what happened, I was so focused on the fight that I forgot anything else at the moment…" he was silenced by another cane to the head as he thought, 'Man, Mido-bro is right. She's really scary when she wants to.'

The healing hero began to list Tetus's injuries, "Iron fatigue, strained muscles, a broken nose, a small concussion when Mr. super strength smashed your face into the ground, a sprained foot, three broken ribs. I don't know how you are still moving let alone awake." She then turned her attention to Izuku, "And you, strained muscles, 2 broken ribs, your muscles were almost stretched to their limits due to using your quirk too much, a fracture in your jaw. Do I need to go on?"

Both boys shook their heads as they tried to stop the assault of canes on their heads.

The doors of the infirmary were opened as Itsuka, Setsuna, and Kinoko made their way into the room. they looked at the two boys who seemed worse for wear before they sighed in relief. The boys looked and saw behind them Pony, Shishida, Ibara, and Awase standing looking at them with worry.

Tokage then sent her and bonked Izuku, "What the hell were you thinking down there? You worried us all. I thought that you were seriously hurt. Good thing we have Recovery Girl for battle junkies like you and Tetsu…" The boy looked at the others as they nodded their heads in agreement, but Setsuna added, "…but congrats on the win; I won a bet with Itsuka."

The boy sweat-dropped knowing that his best friend was betting on his match, but he felt something tugging on his pants. He looked and saw Kinoko who said, "You really did well out there, and Tetsu too, but did you guys really have to go like that on each other?"

Both boys chuckled as Tetsu spoke, "Well, we couldn't hold back. It wouldn't have been manly if we didn't give it our all." Izuku nodded his head as Kendo silently sighed, "Battle Junkies, it is"

Izuku looked at Tetsu, "Though I was shocked that you can use your titanium form on a little number of shavings. How much do you need to activate it?"

The metal rubbed his chin, "I don't know the exact math behind it, but it needs a huge amount of shavings. The only reason I used as far as I did was that yesterday I ate a bucket full, and had some shavings handed with me, but enough of that…" he said before exclaiming, "What you did in the field was awesome. I really liked your super move too. It was really manly."

The boys continued to talk as Kendo cleared her throat, "Well, I suppose it's time to go." she looked at both boys grasping their shoulders as she quietly said with a scary aura, "We'll be talking about you two fighting till you both passed out and for worrying the entire class." Both shivered at the implications of what the girl was saying. Their beating will be legendary.

In 1-A's booth, everyone was still astonished by the fight that both 1-B students put on, but Kirishima was depressed. The boy red-haired boy said, "I really wanted Tetsu to make it to the finals." Everyone looked at him, and Momo knocked Monoma out just in case.

She asked, "Weren't you earlier complaining about him being a copycat?"

The boy nodded, but smiled, "I did, but he was so manly in our match; I couldn't help but cheer for him. I really thought he was going to win in the end, but I guess not." Mina patted his back trying to comfort him. he then looked and saw Iida looking at his phone with worry, "Hey Iida-bro, is there something wrong? You've been looking at your phone for a long while now."

The blue-haired boy was startled a little before smiling, "No worries Kirishima, I was just trying to contact my older brother, but he wasn't responding. I think he must be busy with his hero work."

The red-haired teen nodded as he then asked, "I wonder who's going to fight Baku-bro next."

Jiro replied, "I think it's some bug-looking dude from 1-B. he can make blades from his body. I think his name was Kamakiri or something; I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention."

Momo then corrected her, "He's fighting Togaru Kamakiri of class 1-B. I think this match is going to be more brutal than the previous one." Everyone looked at her as she explained further, "From what I saw, both Bakugo and Kamakiri have offense quirks, and both fight brutally although truth be told Kamakiri does do his best to not hurt anyone using his quirk, so I guess this fight is going to be something."

Everyone nodded, but Iida was still looking at his phone with worry as he mentally said, 'Brother please be safe.'

In the alleyway where Ingenium found the hero killer, the entire place was bathed with blood. One figure was on the ground breathing heavily as another was standing with his sword above him. Stain looked at the downed hero as he exclaimed, "I will purge all fake heroes from this world."

The man didn't live up to his threat as multiple sounds were heard approaching their location. He looked at the man with disgust and spat out, "It seems that luck was on your side this time, Ingenium, but just to be sure." He stabbed the man through his spine through an opening he noticed in the back redrawing the blade and quickly retreated.

Ingenium's sidekicks came to the man's aid. They gasped at his state before grabbing him and rushing to the nearest hospital.

They didn't notice the phone that was on the side of the alleyway that was still buzzing with messages from 'Tenya Iida'. That day was by far the worst day in the Iidaten agency since it will see the downfall of one of its members.

In an agency, a certain hero was watching and re-watching Izuku's match for what could be a hundred times. When she finished, she grabbed the table, flipped it over, and yelled, "If you want to copy my moves, at least do it right."

She pressed a button to summon her secretary. The secretary came running, knowing she was only summoned when her employer was angry, "Yes, ma'am."

The hero threw a picture of the boy saying, "Send him an internship. If he's going to imitate my moves might as well take him on to teach him how to do it right."

The secretary ran away to send the internship as the hero stood watching the rest of the festival with her red eyes as she said, "Though, I have to give him credit for pulling it almost right."

Back at the sports festival, the ring was fixed up. People were sitting excited for the second match of the semi-finals to finally reach the finals and see who will carry the gold home.

Present Mic came and began to commentate, "Hello there, sports fan, we just finished fixing the ring after the exciting match between Midoriya and Tetsutetsu. It was one hell of a match between men, but now let's move on to the second round of the semi-finals. On one side, we have a sword-wielding fiend, he's today Jack the Ripper, let's give big cheers for 1-B's Togaru Kamakiri," the crowd cheered as Togaru yelled at Mic, "Are you serious? You're comparing me with a killer? Are you trying to scare internship offers away from me?"

Eraser spoke, "He's not wrong Mic. Comparing him to a well-known killer will hurt his chances so stop doing it. we need to help our students not destroy their chances."

Mic chuckled, "I'm really sorry, and if it helps I didn't really mean," the voice hero can see Kamakiri grumbling from his place as he thought, 'Well, at least I now know whose least favorite I am.' The voice hero cleared his throat as he continued, "Ok moving on. On the other hand, we have a natural-born terrorist, he's a master of explosions, look at him go, Katsuki Bakugo of 1-A." Bakugo walked into the ring and cracked his neck looking at his opponent.

In 1-B's booth, Izuku was staring intently at the match, since its winner will be his opponent for the finals. He began to calculate the chances of each of the fighters winning. Both had high chances given that both are skilled fighters with their quirks. It mostly stemmed down to whose steam will end first. It was hard to decide who will win; Kacchan was a master with his quirk; there was no arguing with that since he spent years training it and Izuku was the practice dummy most of the time, and Kamakiri was a strong fighter who just didn't know when to give up.

Both of them wanted a piece of him, though some for more nefarious means; Kamakiri wanted to fight because he sees him as a rival that he needs to overcome. At least that is what Izuku hoped. He didn't want to have a huge target on his back for nothing. On the other hand, he can see from Bakugo's stares that the boy wanted to beat him senseless just for existing, and even though Izuku didn't want to admit he wanted the same thing. He was still enraged at what Bakugo did to Setsuna during their match. he understands not holding back, but there's always too much when it came to Bakugo.

He was knocked out of his thoughts when someone poked his cheek.

He looked at a smiling Pony who asked him, "So Midoriya what are you thinking about?"

The boy shrugged as he said, "Nothing really, I'm just thinking about the match, and who might win the fight." Tokage came along and sat beside Izuku asking, "So what are the stats on this fight? Does our resident bug boy have a chance against the boom Meister? Or is he going to get creamed?"

Izuku rubbed his head saying, "It depends if he gets a good hit on him, and prevents Bakugo from using his quirk anymore." This made both girls blink as Izuku explained further, "You see there are many ways to neutralize Bakugo's quirks; sweat absorbing foam, cold weather that prevents him from sweating, breaking his wrists or cutting them, not that I recommend that, it sounds horrible, but still cutting his wrists sounds a good way for Kamakiri to decommission Bakugo."

The girls looked at him with confusion as he rubbed the back of his sheepishly, "Did I say something? I didn't mean to offend anyone." Tokage shook her head, "No, it's just weird that you know so many ways to defeat blasty. I thought you just together to junior high."

Izuku shook his head saying, "No, we're childhood friends. We technically grew up together." Setsuna nodded her head as she silently frowned since this meant Bakugo was tormenting Izuku for longer than she thought initially, though it was to be expected given how the boy worships him like he's the second coming of All Might.

The girl yawned as she said, "Hey greenie, I'm tired from regenerating my arms, can I put my head on your shoulder and snooze till the match is over?" the girl smiled since even tired, she can't get bored of teasing him. the boy nodded with a red face as the girl laid her head blushing a little herself.

In 1-A's booth, the students were all waiting for the match to begin as they all wanted one of their own to make it to the gold given that most of them went out in the first or second round.

Momo inquired, "I wonder how Kamakiri will win given that he doesn't have any long-range attacks like Bakugo?" Monoma snorted from his place making Momo ask, "Did I do something funny?"

The blond shook his head as he said, "No, but Kamakiri can render Bakugo obsolete by just cutting his hands which are his instrument for his quirk. Once the blood comes out, the sweat will go bye-bye, and Bakugo will be put in a tough spot."

Everyone looked at him and silently agreed with him given that this way Kamakiri can have an easy win, but it depended if he managed to get the drop on Bakugo who was a monster in close combat if the battle trails were anything to go by. Right now, they can now sit and watch hoping for the best possible out for their classmate.

Midnight walked up to the stage with Cemetoss who said sternly, "No destroying the ring like the last match, got it?" both nodded as the man sat down, "Just in case, I'll keep an eye on the both of you."

Midnight chuckled, "Alright boys, you know the rules. No deadly injuries, no harming each other too much, no dirty tricks, no blackmailing, and most importantly," she said as she slowly pointed a finger toward Bakugo, "no murder attempts, got it?" Kamakiri snickered a little as Bakugo growled at Midnight like a wild animal. Both boys nodded as Midnight lifted her whip and brought it down as she said, "Let the second round of the semifinals begin."

Bakugo needed this as he launched himself toward the bug boy, saying, "Learn your place insect." He aimed a blast at the boy and managed to get him. he looked at the smoke caused by the hit, but once it cleared a fist made its way into his face knocking him.

From what remained of the smoke, Kamakiri walked out with two blades jutting out of his wrists, "Who are you calling a bug, moron? And did you think that puny hit like that will put me down?" the boy launched himself at the blond, but the boy quickly jumped away as he sent a blast toward Kamakiri who dodged it by jumping into the air above Bakugo.

The bug-looking teen prepared a slash against the ashen blond, but the blond released an explosion forcing him to use his blades as a defense. The force of the blast sent him to the ground which caused a temporary distraction Bakugo tried to take advantage of. The blond ran toward him aiming a right hook, but the bug-looking teen grabbed his hand and did a shoulder toss.

Kamakiri snickered, "Dude, I saw you for the entire even start everything with a right hook. Learn to change your ways or you're dead once you face a smart villain who will learn your pattern."

This didn't sit well with the blond who said, "You're dead, bug brain." The boy flew through the air toward him and blasted a huge attack, but the bug boy dodged as he ducked under the attack, before jumping and decking Bakugo in the face.

The blond boy went down, and Kamakiri jumped on him to pin him down, but the ashen blond saw this coming and rolled away as he sent a blast toward the green-haired boy who was hit in the chest causing him to back away.

Bakugo stood up, "I have to admit that you're putting on a good fight, but you need to learn that your place is with the rest of those extras." He then ran toward him aiming a blast, but a blade erupted from Togaru's shoulder cutting him in the face and shocking him. The bug boy grabbed him and he delivered a devastating hit to the gut by kneeing him, before punching him in the shoulder causing a pop sound to occur as Bakugo yelled out in pain blasting Kamakiri with his other hand.

Midnight then said, "What did I say?"

Kamakiri replied, "It's nothing serious. Just a dislocated shoulder. He can fix it. given my quirk, I'm still not using anything lethal to my aid."

The heroine narrowed her eyes before saying, "Fine. You may continue, but be careful." The heroine had to admit that the boy had a point. The boy could have done much more damage given his quirk, but a dislocated shoulder with a small cut gives how much he's trying to keep it safe.

"So you're looking down on me, huh?" Togaru looked at Bakugo with a raised eyebrow as the boy popped his shoulder back into its place, "You think you go easy on me. You think I'm some kind of weakling that you need to take pity on me." the boy looked at Togaru, "I'm going to put you in your place your damn filthy freak."

Bakugo blasted his way quickly toward Kamakiri who jumped away, but Bakugo used his quirk to turn himself around becoming straight into Kamakiri's face as he released a strong hit nailing the bug boy right into his face causing him to back away, but Bakugo didn't give up delivering a strong blow to the stomach making the bug boy yell out in pain.

However, even though in pain Kamakiri made a blade from his thigh that cut Bakugo in the leg causing him to back away. The green-haired teen quickly made his way to the ashen blond grabbing him by the hair and kneeing him in the face as he yelled in anger, "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A FREAK, YOU DAMN VILLAIN?"

The ashen blond froze for a moment as another hit landed in his abdomen, "What did you call me?"

Kamakiri replied, "Did you hear me stutter? In fact, I'd like to add a weakling to the list. I mean what kind of hero attacks someone that can't defend themselves."

Bakugo was now raging as he screamed with fury, "YOU'RE DEAD MEAT." Now the ashen blond wanted nothing but to control himself remembering what Aizawa told him about the press, albeit barely since his anger now was so potent, it was leaking through him.

Bakugo quickly flew through the air toward the bug boy as he yelled at him, "Stun Grenade." The attack caused a huge amount of light to appear catching the bug boy off guard and blinding him for a moment.

Bakugo now was above him as he launched a strong blast saying, "At least, I don't look like a damned villain, you freak of nature." He unleashed a huge explosion which Kamakiri was caught in. The ashen blond smiled at his work but was shocked when the smoke cleared.

Kamakiri still stood tall as he said, "Better to look like one rather than to be one. At least I have a place on the heroes who look like villains while you won't make it to the top 100 with that attitude of yours." The bug boy yanked his feet from the ground which saved him from being thrown out of the ring as summoned blades through them to anchor him into the ground.

Kamakiri then ran toward Bakugo using two blades ducking under an explosion as he swung both blades and managed to cut Bakugo's right wrist. The ashen blond yelled in agony as he clutched the injured area. He looked at the bug boy who seemed worse for wear.

"You know I have been noticing that you only use your hands during your attacks, so I decided to try something out." the bug boy smirked saying, "Let's see if you'll be still full of hot air after losing half of your power." Togaru then jumped at him and he punched him in the face, before delivering a sidekick to the side.

Bakugo stood up and released a strong explosion from his left hand as he mentally growled, 'Damned freak, he cut my main hand. I can still fight, but my right hand is my strongest. I have to somehow make it work.'

The two now were locked in a back-and-forth fight where each is trying to land a hit on the other.

In 1-B's booth, Izuku was observing the battle. It was very interesting, to say the least. Bakugo was bringing his A-game like usual, and Kamakiri was not giving up so easily as he weaved through Bakugo's attacks and delivered hits of his own. He looked to his side and saw that Setsuna was still sleeping. He wondered how can she sleep with all the noise, but to each their own, he presumed.

The girl then let out some clicking noises like a small gecko making the boy blush as he thought, 'That's really cute.' He shook his head as Itsuka asked him, "So, do you think that Kamakiri's win is guaranteed given he managed to cut Bakugo's right wrist."

Izuku shook his head, "Not really, Bakugo is still going as hard as ever. It will take more than that, but I'm sure if Kamakiri plays it safe, and tries not to antagonize Bakugo, he will succeed." Itsuka nodded as she saw Kinoko take a picture of Setsuna sleeping on Izuku's shoulder.

Back in the ring, Bakugo was panting like crazy. His wrists hurt him. he was doing this for way too long and his opponent was really putting him through the wringer, and he was not giving up either.

The boy sent another blast at Togaru who ducked under it, before crouching and launching himself at Bakugo hitting him headfirst in the stomach and knocking the air from the ashen blond's lungs. The boy tried to go for another hit, but a blast sent him flying away. Bakugo then thought, 'I need to finish this quickly. I need to do it now.'

Bakugo then dodged a punch to the face from Kamakiri as he jumped above him blasting the boy in the back as he said, "Hey, bug boy. Time to end this."

Bakugo then jumped in the air and began to spin around causing a huge grey funnel to appear as he said, "Go to hell, and make sure to send my regards to your family when you reach it."

"Howitzer," Bakugo yelled as he approached a seemingly frozen Kamakiri who looked at him with absolute loathing catching the boy off guard for a moment before carrying on, "Impact"

A huge explosion then covered the entire ring as dust covered the entire place. He looked at Midnight saying, "Don't worry. I didn't put too much power into it. it will knock him out, but we won't put him in the hospital." The R-Rated heroine sighed in relief. She was about to announce Bakugo's victory when Kamakiri appeared from the smoke yelling, "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY FAMILY?"

The bug boy ran quickly grabbing the ashen blond by the scruff of his shirt and was about to throw him out of the bounds when the bug boy let him go as he fell to the ground finally losing all of his steam. The last thing Kamakiri saw before passing out was a small version of himself crying as his mother carried him and ran away with his father fighting angry hordes of people trying to harm his son and wife. 'Damn it, so close.'

Midnight checked the boy and saw that he was unconscious and said, "Kamakiri is unconscious. Bakugo makes it to the finals."

The boy was still shocked that the bug boy managed to make it out of that attack even if it was a small moment, but then grinned as he looked at class 1-B's stand. He ran his finger across his neck, hoping the message made its way to its target.

In 1-B's booth, Izuku gulped as his friends looked at him in worry. Shishida asked him, "Sir Midoriya, was that directed to you? I'm a little bit worried."

The boy chuckled as he stood up and went to the waiting room saying, "No need for that. I guess it's my turn now. Wish me luck."

Kinoko then said, "I have a bad feeling about this, shroom." She then stood up with Kendo, Tetsu, and a recently awoken Setsuna and followed the green-haired boy to cheer him.

In 1-A's booth, everyone was happy that Bakugo won; sure the fight was brutal, but he didn't send someone to the hospital.

Iida was standing as his entire body began to vibrate violently. Ochako yelled in worry, "Iida, are you alright?" the boy waved at her as he brought out his phone making her sigh in relief, "I guess you are."

The engine teen then excused himself to go talk, but once he replied, his entire world turned upside down.

Somewhere else, the hero killer was jumping from one building to the other as he sensed something, "I advise you to relieve your presence or suffer the consequences."

The man looked and saw what seemed to be a living mist forming. The mist raised his hands saying, "I came here with a request. I mean no harm to you, Stain. My master wants to meet you."

Stain raised an eyebrow, but nodded saying, "Lead the way."

Author's notes:

Hey guys welcome back to a brand new chapter, in this one, we saw the semi-finals; if some of you think the fight between Izuku and Tetsu is a little farfetched. I apologize I had to make it interesting somehow other than having them slug each other to surrender. In addition, I relieved some of Kamakiri's past which will connect later on to why he treated Izuku badly when they first started. The next chapter will focus on the finals and Stain's meeting with Shigaraki and Izuku having an awakening of sorts. Also, I apologize for not updating, but I was out due to Covid hitting me, but I'm better now.

As always please take care of yourselves, leave a review telling me what you think of the current chapter, and inform me how you think I can make the story better.

And finally, I hope you all enjoy reading my work, and see you next time with a brand new chapter.
