Welcome to the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, but before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:

altajir95: Thanks. Yea, all of them are talented, but Kensei is more so and has more experience than their entire group, including Riser. He did the same thing as his mother and others before him and created his own fighting style. I always thought that Ravel had cute moments like this since she wanted to support a hero, and I wanted to portray her thoughts in seeing an upcoming one. Those guys are on the move once again with the Benefactor being at the head of it, and apparently have something planned for them.

Slimereader11: Thanks for the compliment.

Darth Simp: Glad to hear from you again in regards to this one. Well, it would escalate to that. But, at this point, Lady Phenex can see that Kensei is starting to attract Ravel's attention based on her reactions so that particular question was for her daughter's benefit.

Guest: I never thought of doing one like that. I think that Makoto x Chelia did one but removed it at some point, and most of the OCs I come up with are males.

Reviewer Requiem: That is going to be quite the reaction since Issei did the same thing after meeting up with Riser for the first time. I am planning on Kensei and Hisui being involved in helping Koneko getting over her fears of using her senjutsu and youjutsu. Well, I don't think that Ravel would do that since she gets all serious when it comes to winning Rating Games. But, her making comments about Kiba's sword skills compared to Kensei's might be something she would do. Ravel was attempting to be nice after she attempted to keep Issei from going upstairs.

Guest 2: I like the Tournament of Power Arc too, but I mean the Azazel Cup is the same thing as it, the winning team even gets a wish too.

Guest 3: Thanks. It was my intention of doing something outside of the usual people being basically all linked arm in arm to the Gremory Group. I also wanted to tell it from a different perspective where the OC is reincarnated into a devil, then has good experiences from it. I'm also looking forward to their meeting as there will be a lot of surprises, the fact that he's engaged to five women, one of them being an idol.

Guest 4: It would sound interesting for Kensei to act as her guard for that moment.

An Old Foe

Another day passed since Kensei has ventured to the Underworld, where Kensei found himself doing his regular morning routine as he sat down in the mansion's living room. Aside from him, the Phenex household's maids and butlers were preparing things for the morning for their masters. Placed on the table in front of him were some tools meant for cleaning a katana, and were resting beside Kurogane.

"I'm surprised that the time frame for here and the Human World are the same," Kensei said to himself under his breath. "The Maou is awesome for doing something like this for the reincarnated devils."

He heard that the Underworld's time flow was adjusted to match the Human World, and even their moon was produced using demonic powers for the human reincarnated devils. However, Kensei knew the current four Maou were kinder than the originals by a wide margin.

Finishing the preparations, Kensei unsheathed Kurogane, revealing the beautiful black blade and silver suguha, a perfect straight temper line. No matter how many times he looked at it, he just couldn't help feeling the greatest gratitude to Amakuni for forging this to him.

"Alright, let's get started."

He already realized a long time ago, that due to how Kurogane was made, it couldn't suffer from the degradation that normal swords would go through. As such, it wouldn't degrade or dull no matter how much time passed, but Kurogane has been his partner for over four years, so he always felt it was appropriate from time to time.

"Ah, oh, good morning, Kensei-sama."

Kensei could hear Ravel entering the living room as she still looked as if it wasn't that long after she woke up and was properly dressed for the morning.

"Good morning, Ravel."

Kensei said as he started cleaning Kurogane using the correct procedures, which was something that caught her interest as she stared at it. It wasn't something that Ravel would normally find herself interested in, but she found herself sitting down beside him watching as Kensei kept cleaning Kurogane.

"I have been wondering since the first time I saw it. But, that isn't a normal sword, is it? I know that it isn't a sacred gear, but it still gives off a mysterious presence."

Due to her senses, Ravel could tell that it wasn't anything like a holy sword, but the presence and beauty of it was something that could be comparable to one. Though, she still hadn't seen one herself aside from what she found from books she was able to find about them.

"It's not a normal sword, it was made using a special steel and crafted by a famous person in Japan."

Kensei replied, catching her attention.

"Would you mind elaborating?"

"The person who made it is called an Immortal Swordsmith, Amakuni Yasutsuna. He was a human, but became an immortal as a reward from the Shinto Gods for creating the first single-edged sword and diligent work."

Kensei replied much to her surprise.

"A human who became an immortal. I know there are methods for people to become immortals, but I have never heard specifics about them."

Ravel was interested in that as she continued to listen.

"Well, I mean he can't age, but it doesn't mean he can't be killed. He is more durable than humans, and it'd take a lot more than attacks from a High-Class Devil to kill him. But, if a God or even someone equal to a Maou tried attacking him, then he'd likely die."

Kensei explained as she nodded her head and hummed.

"Yes, that's about the same case for a member of the Phenex Household. So, what's special about the metal?"

"Amakuni-san chose his residence because there's a mountain near there, where their leylines concentrated around that specific location. So, the ores in the mountains have been constantly exposed to energy from the leylines for far longer than you could even guess. He even built a shrine there, which turned it into a power spot where he can also worship the Shinto Gods. There, he also processes it into special steel named Amahagane, which swords like Kurogane are made from."

"There are others like it?"

"His creations can be split into the Sanryuu Kaitou, normal grades that are superior to the normal katanas created by swordsmiths. Niryuu Kaitou, greater grades that he gives to special people, and made using Amahagane, granting them unique abilities. And last but not least the Ichiryuu Kaitou, supreme grades, which are his greatest creations, which can be considered divine weapons. I don't know that much about the last ones."

"I see there are a lot of incredible people in the Shinto Faction and other places as well," Kensei could clearly see that Ravel found herself more and more interested in the things that he has experienced and the people he's encountered. "I wonder if I could go there, and meet people like that in the future. It sounds as if you've seen a lot more things than I'm able to even imagine."

"Maybe you could, I wouldn't mind showing you around Japan whenever you want."

"R-Really, I could go there and see all that too," Ravel asked her eyes were sparkling like diamonds in the sun as Kensei found her reaction adorable. But, as if realizing her reaction, she returned to her usual haughty demeanor soon after. "I-I suppose that I could let you maintain your position as an escort for me, and show me around."

"Ah, you're such a tsundere. An adorable one at that."

Ravel blushed at that comment after being called adorable and noticed him marveling at the sight of his polished partner, which remained in his hands.

"I never understood the reason swordsmen like Karlamine focused so much on swords, swords, swords," Ravel stated much to his surprise as she began speaking what was on her mind, more and more since the first time the two met. "Well, I never really thought about it like that before. But, since meeting Karlamine, she would either talk so much about swords or rush headfirst in a battle when finding skilled swordsmen. And that would often lead to situations in the Rating Game turning sour, which made me not consider swordsmen much."

"Well, it's all about being passionate about something you love. It's kind of the same as when you talk about making sweets or tea wearing that cute smile of yours," Ravel blushed after hearing him refer to her as cute, and Kensei continued. "So, I think that it's natural to want to test yourself against someone who carries the same passion for it too. I think that some people in the Rating Games share the same feeling."

"Yea, I can see it from that perspective. I don't know why, but whenever I saw you fighting, yours seemed almost beautiful and striking in my eyes."

"Thanks. Well, my passion for it came from the fact that my mother put so much effort into teaching me our clan's martial art, and swordsmanship. I feel grateful for everything that Sun-sensei taught me, but my mother had the biggest impact on what I grew into."

Ravel listened, smiling after hearing the passion in his voice and gratitude towards his mother who made him into the person he was.

"I would certainly like to meet your mother."

"Ah, well, I'm sure there are methods for doing that. But, you should probably know she died when I was eight."

Kensei revealed sparking surprise from Ravel.

"I-I-I didn't mean b-bring up anything hard for you to talk about!"

Ravel said waving her hands as she felt ashamed that she brought up, and started panicking believing that she'd brought up something hard for him. Kensei silenced her and quelled her thoughts as he placed his hand on top of her head while smiling.

"It's fine. I don't mind talking about my awesome mom," Kensei stated full with pride without showing the slightest bit of sadness, which Ravel could see was genuine. "If I remained sad about her death and kept dwelling on it, I'd receive the harshest lecture from her. My mom was the kind of person who'd tell you that you can't look ahead to the future while remaining in the past. Besides, each time, I swing this sword or use anything that she taught me, it still feels as if she's right there with me."

"I-I see, but I'm sorry that…."

"Come on, I said that it was no problem. So, please don't worry about it."

Kensei said, placing his hand on Ravel's head comfortably, causing her to look a little more upbeat, albeit a little bit flustered from the contact.

"I understand, Kensei-sama."

"I have been wondering this for a while, but why are you adding -sama to my name. If anything, shouldn't I be the one doing that," Kensei asked as Ravel looked a little complicated about that question. "I don't mind if you just call me Kensei."

"I know, but I must do so."

Kensei knew a lot about how women would react and feel about certain things, but he couldn't tell the reason that adding "-sama" to his name was important to her. However, if it was that important to her, then he wouldn't fight it and had an idea to make it better.

"Fine, but if you want, then you can call me 'Ken'. A couple of people who're close to me calls me that."

"A-Are you sure that I could do that?"

"Hahaha, of course, I mean, we've been talking like good friends since we first met."

"T-Then, I'll call you Ken-sama without reservation."

Ravel replied smiling after hearing that.

Sometime after that, the other members of the household found themselves waking up as breakfast for them all would be prepared any moment. It didn't take long as the Phenex patriarch and matriarch took their seats at the head; the children, Ruval, the second son, Riser, and Ravel; then Riser's peerage, and Kensei. In front of them was the exquisite-looking breakfast prepared for them all on the table.

"Itadakimasu."

Kensei uttered before starting to eat breakfast.

The others at the table started eating their food, the adults, most notable those who had received training in such thing were eating eloquently. Kensei was also eating professionally from all the lessons he's received from his stepmother when he visited their home. Even if he was an official member of the Amagiri Clan, he'd also learned lessons from the Uesugi Clan about certain topics too.

Though members such as the chainsaw twins were eating in a manner that matched their demeanor.

"I must once again thank you, Kensei-san for all you've done for my sister."

After some time, those were the words that came from the second son.

"It's no problem. I'm always prepared to assist anyone in need."

Kensei replied smiling.

"I also must apologize for the seconds of Riser. Ruval told me about what happened the other day."

"Yes, our foolish brother has caused some trouble for you despite what you've done for us."

Kensei could see that the two oldest siblings were being genuine, while Riser was looking more down compared to his usual haughty self. Even in the presence of his two older brothers, he couldn't act like that whenever they'd make comments like that. That alone was enough to laugh a slight laugh to escape from his mouth after noticing Riser's reaction.

"Don't worry about it. I understand some of Riser's motives at least."

Kensei noted as the oldest siblings seemed to have accepted that.

"Oh, Kensei-san, I was wondering something. But, you mentioned that you're a part of a group, which is located in the town you run, correct?"

Lady Phenex asked curiously.

"I did, ma'am. It's named the Kibou Alliance. A year ago, we received help building our base too, and are working on making it a proper group for us."

"So, would you be the sole leader of the Kibou Alliance?"

"Well, my so-called friends realized that it would be difficult for one person to lead an entire group on their own. It was then decided that the responsibilities should be split between different people. My best friend through came up with an idea where the people who lead it needs fit a couple of criteria."

"Criteria?"

Lord Phenex found himself utter curiously, then Kensei held up a couple of fingers.

"One, one must at least above a High-Class Devil in power. Two, one must be experienced in battle. Three, one must specialize in at least one field. Four, one must lead their own team. Five, pass several tests. And, one must defeat an anti-monster," a confused look came from their faces as Kensei elaborated. "Oh, right, those are kind of a monster one of my fiancées, Alice makes, which targets your weaknesses."

"I believe that sounds familiar."

Ruval said recalling the term "anti-monster" before.

"Well, it's likely the first answer that comes to mind. After coming up with those rules, we ended up deicing on the name, Numbers. At the moment there are five members with five individual numbers acting as their designation."

"And you would be?"

Lady Phenex asked as Kensei answered the question and raised one finger, which answered her question.

"I'd be number one," Kensei replied. "My friend, Zane decided to use cardinal numbers that count down so none of the ranks represents combat strength. Instead of being determined from the time, someone became a member of Numbers. All of them decided that I'd be the first one since the town is in my clan's territory, and since still carries some significance being #1."

"So, there are just five members of Numbers?"

"Yea, well, aside from some being scared about fighting anti-monsters. There's also the fact the current Numbers are all significant to the others members. We've all done and gone through several things together from the time we all met, so the people have a great deal of faith in us."

"I wouldn't mind seeing the base at some point."

"And I wouldn't mind giving a tour after all this is done."

Kensei replied as both the patriarch and matriarch smiled at the idea of being able to see the group themselves.

"Ah, Ravel. I think that it would be good for you to get out the house, and spend some time showing Kensei-san around the capital."

Lady Phenex's suggestion caused Ravel some surprise as she stopped, and stared at her mother wearing a look of shock on her face.

"O-Okaa-sama, d-do you think that something like this is appropriate?"

Ravel said a little confused about her reasoning.

"I doubt that anything would happen, more so since Kensei-san will be right beside you the entire time. I know it's a dangerous situation, but I think that it would be good for you to go out instead of being cooped up inside of the castle like this. And I think that this is Kensei-san's first trip to the Underworld."

Lady Phenex explained as most could understand her reasoning as a mother as Ravel has remained inside the castle since the incident happened. And Kensei has already proven himself capable in a battle against Riser and his peerage without even getting serious.

"B-But, that'd be…going on a…date."

No one could hear all of what Ravel had aside from the nekomata twins, whose hearing was more acute in comparison to the others.

"I don't mind going out and seeing the Underworld with Ravel."

Kensei spoke up without much concern about it going out in the open with Ravel.

"K-Ken-sama, are you sure about this? I mean, wouldn't that be dangerous."

"I doubt whoever attacked her would attempt it anything reckless like attacking openly when you're going around in the capital. It would make more sense if it was just an attack around your territory here since attacking out in the open, which would attract attention from the Maou. Their first plan was well thought out, as well as limited to the individual keeping a low profile," Kensei explained as he recalled that he could barely sense the residual aura. "It also means that it would be easier for them to remain hidden."

"It'd also mean that they would track Ravel as she is going out into the open."

Ruval stated up.

"Yes, that's also a chance. But, it also means that I get the chance to see who that person is, and catch them if I manage to find them."

Kensei's suggestion made sense to them after hearing it.

"But, that'd put Ravel in danger if it's the same person who attacked…."

"I think that it's a good idea."

Ravel interjected catching their attention and surprising Riser.

"But, Ravel that means you'll be acting as bait."

"That's fine. If I remain here, we'll be waiting for them to attack, not knowing when it'll end up coming," Ravel started in a strong tone without being deterred. "I don't want to wait here feeling scared in my own home, and I don't feel like letting them think I am scared of facing them. I'll continue walking forward as a proud member of the Phenex Clan, and letting them know that I won't back down!"

All the people standing at the table could feel the determination and strength from every single word, which left Ravel's mouth. Her parents and two eldest brothers looked proud of her, while Riser looked surprised since it has been the first time he's heard something like this from her.

"Wh-Where did this come from?"

He wondered where this came from since he haven't seen anything like that from Ravel before, even when she'd competed with him in the Rating Game. Although, aside from taking on some roles in leading the others, she had been in little battles against opponents.

"She's seriously a strong girl."

Kensei said smiling at the comment from Ravel.

"I agree to this," Lord Phenex agreed as he placed his hand together to look at them. "I know this appears to be a reckless idea, but this is the best chance that we have to find out who we're dealing with. It was a serious threat to the entire household by poisoning Ravel, and if it continues, then there's a chance we could be led into a false sense of security. But, there's also the chance that doing this could also put others in danger."

"I also took that into account, and plan on running off with Ravel as soon as I sense any hostility to a location that is clear of people. If it gets serious enough, then I'll send her back using a teleportation spell. I'm not going to let neither Ravel nor anyone else around us gets hurt because of someone else's scheme."

Hearing Kensei's declaration caused the people around him to believe in that promise, it was almost as if neither of them could see him failing in keeping it. After all that, there wasn't a single person against the idea of the two of them heading out into the Underworld. And from there, all of them continued with their breakfast beginning a casual conversation among the group.

It was around the time that Kensei and Ravel departed as both found themselves sitting in a beautiful carriage as its driver was controlling the Underworld-bred horses. He wasn't surprised that the Phenex Clan had something this extravagant and comfortable. He changed into the Kibou Alliance's uniform as he crossed his arms looking at the inside of the carriage.

"Huh, I think this is the first time I've ridden in a carriage before."

Kensei pointed out as he leaned back in the seat.

"How is it?"

"It's good. As expected, the Underworld has weird animals here."

Kensei noted, recalling that the horses gave off a stronger presence than animals found in the Human World.

"Well, I believe that legendary creatures can be found more in the Human World rather than here. Though, certain legendary creatures who were also reincarnated into devils too."

"Well, that makes sense. I heard that Sirzechs has three legendary creatures on his side, one of them being just a clone of one," Kensei said recalling that he heard met all those members once in the Human World. "Although, I did get the chance to spar against Sirzechs' Knight."

"You're referring to the former Samurai, Souji Okita-sama? Ken-sama, you do know that Sirzechs-sama's Knight was reincarnated using two pieces and is described as having an absolute technique."

"Come on, Ravel. I know we've known each other for two days. But, did you think I'd pass on the chance of going head-to-head against a legendary Samurai who led the Shinsengumi? I'm also a samurai descendant who got the chance to meet a genuine samurai."

"So, I can already guess the results? But, how did the fight turn out?"

"I lost horribly," Kensei said laughing, causing Ravel to giggle after noticing his expression and not finding it a shame that he did suffer a loss. "I don't even think that could be called a match. Souji-san was messed with me that entire match using that god-like speed of his. Even if I end up getting a rematch, I doubt that I'd be capable of catching up to him soon. But, that is what I'd expect from someone who mastered their fighting style as a human, then he honed it after reincarnating and gaining enhancements from the Knight Piece. But, it was a good experience seeing how a legendary samurai fought."

"I believe that Ken-sama is among the few people who'd see a loss like that."

"I couldn't help wanting to see his Tennen Rishin-ryuu in person, and I wanted to test out my Tougen Amagiri-ryuu against it. Also, Ravel."

"What?"

"That looks good on you."

Kensei complimenting pointed out looking at what she was wearing.

She was dressed in a purple dress with a dark purple bow on the front, with what looks to be phoenix designs on the sides, and even three feather-like extensions coming from her lower back, black stockings, and purple shoes with a strap around her lower leg. To him, it showed her pride in her clan and looked good on her. Receiving that compliment caused a faint blush to form on her cheeks as she looked bashful.

"T-Thank you," Ravel said poking her index fingers together. "W-Well, I simply picked out something that I do like wearing from time to time."

"Well, it certainly brings out the fact that you're a Phenex."

Ravel kept looked flustered about that compliment from him since she did end up putting some effort into ensuring she looked her best.

"Oh, right. Before we arrive, let me put in a little insurance to ensure you'll be safe if anything happens. Could put out one of your arms for a moment?"

"Okay."

Ravel didn't reject that request from him as she held out her arm.

In response to that, Kensei reached out his hands and gently rolled up her dress' sleeves, causing her forearm to be revealed. She flinched a little as he placed on hand underneath her forearm, feeling as his hands had started tracing across her skin.

"…. …. …. …."

Kensei started chanting something that sounded like a spell under his breath as his finger started letting out a red light as he traced symbols using his finger. Soon enough, several symbols were drawn on her forearm before it seemed to fade as if it was never there. After it was finished, Ravel looked at her arm confused as she couldn't sense the spell used.

"What was that?"

"A tracking spell that I had engraved on you on more of a spiritual level rather than a physical one," Kensei stated as Ravel fixed her dress sleeve. "In case someone does end up taking you, none of them will be able to tell that a spell that placed on you. So, I'll be able to find out where you went to get you back. There's also a barrier that'll defend against light attacks."

"That's amazing."

"Thanks. Don't worry about how it sounds, being engraved on a spiritual level won't affect anything and it'll vanish after being used once."

"No, it's fine. …it feels pleasantly warm."

Ravel said that last part in a whisper low enough to where Kensei couldn't register it at all.

After that, both occupants spent the rest of their time sitting inside the carriage enjoying the casual ride leading to the capital. As that was occurring Ravel was thinking about all the things that she could show Kensei since it was his first time there and felt happy that she was doing this for him.

"Welcome to Lucifaad, the old capital within the Maou-sama's territory. This is also the location where the original Lucifer-sama resided."

Ravel said as she and Kensei found themselves standing at a station, after exiting the carriage, which dropped them off so the two could board a train.

He looked around at the area where he was, the homes and stations looked more modern and advanced when he thought about what he'd see in the Human World. There were, of course, pure-blood devils, normal devils, and a collection of reincarnated devils walking around the capital. He could even see that there were vending machines around the location he was standing.

"Wow, I'm sure that Zane and the others would have loved to see this place."

Kensei declared looking around as if he was a tourist.

"There are a lot of things that people can do here. And I'm sure that Ken-sama would love looking around."

"Well, then for this time, I'll be under your care."

"Hohohoho, then rely on me and I'll show you around Lucifaad."

Ravel said and laughed confidently as she turned to face Kensei.

And with that, Ravel started leading Kensei around the streets of Lucifaad, telling him about the various locations and stores around with great detail. Some various stores and shops sold a wide arrange of items that were similar to what could be found in the Human World, and some of them with the presence of demonic power.

"Is that a human?"

"I wonder what he's doing with Ravel-sama."

"It looks as if they're getting along well."

"Could he be someone interested in becoming a servant of one of the Phenex Clan members?"

"He must know them since a human shouldn't be able to enter the Underworld without initial authorization."

Kensei could hear the comments from the various people who were able to tell that he was a human and not, in fact, a devil. He knew that it was illegal to enter the Underworld outside of official channels, which was basically a thing he did and breaking into Zekram's residence.

"I guess I already broke that rule once. Well, whatever, he had it coming."

Kensei didn't care about the rules at that point and just cared about decking Zekram.

He soon noticed that Ravel stopped as she appeared and stood right in front of him.

"Ken-sama? Is there something on your mind? Is there something wrong?"

Ravel asked as she titled her head.

"No, there's nothing wrong. I was just thinking something else," Kensei replied. "I heard that the devils share the Underworld with the Fallen Angels from Grigori too."

"Yes, I believe that there are several free areas that aren't used by Grigori, but the areas still belong to them. All the members from both sides are aware of the line neither can cross and keep to themselves without interrupting either side. Ken-sama are you aware of the situation regarding Grigori?"

"I know a little bit about the situations regarding Grigori. A friend of mine is a relative to one of their members, but I haven't met them before."

"Is that so? I heard that the Governor-General, Azazel-sama has been gathering people who own sacred gears since the Great War. A small number of them are Longinus users. Most believe that he's preparing for a battle of some kind, but it's unknown whether or not he's planning on attacking the Underworld or Heaven."

"Wow, you're knowledgeable, Ravel."

Kensei complimented Ravel causing her to look a bit bashful.

"Well, you don't need to be worried about him doing anything weird. I heard about him from my parents once and they said he's not interested in a war."

"Oh, you mean, Tetsuo-sama and your mother? Both of them know about Azazel-sama."

"Yea, both of them met him when they were still teenagers. My dad asked him for advice regarding sacred gears since he, my little brother, and sister have sacred gears," Kensei revealed as she listened. "My mother said and I quote, a perverted sacred gear fanatic with no interest aside from sacred gears and women."

"I did hear stories about Azazel-sama having multiple harems across his lifetime, and he was the first one to turn into a fallen angel too."

"Well, from what I heard, Azazel made the mistake of attempting to flirt with her once when she was seventeen."

"What happened?"

"Well, she…."

"Ah, Ravel?"

Ravel turned her head after hearing a familiar voice calling out her name, then turned around to find a young girl the same age as herself approaching her and joined by a male. Standing behind her lightly waving her hand was a beautiful silver-haired petite girl, who kept her hair in a side upswept hairstyle, and had good breasts despite having a petite build.

Standing beside her was a female servant, a Knight based on what Kensei could sense.

"Ah, Iryuka-san. It has been a while since I last saw you."

Ravel said showing a great deal of familiarity with the girl named Iryuka.

Kensei could note that despite wearing a smile, Iryuka seemed to maintain a poker face, then she turned towards the black-haired human with a curious stare.

"Who's this?"

Iryuka asked curiously.

"Oh, uh, this is my…."

Ravel tried looking for an excuse to give to Iryuka, who seemed to have noticed her hesitance and tilted her head curiously. She was careful not to change her expression too much, not wanting to look as if she was hiding anything and make her worried.

"I can answer that, but first my name is Kensei Amagiri," Kensei had introduced himself as Iryuka later turned her attention towards him. "My father is an important business partner of Lord Phenex, and I was interested in getting a personal look around the Underworld. So, I got in contact with Lord Phenex and Ravel here offered to give me a small tour."

"I see. It does sound like Ravel," Iryuka looked to have accepted that answer from him. "My name Iryuka Glasya-Labolas, the daughter of the current Glasya-Labolas Head. It's nice to meet you, Kensei."

Despite sounding stoic about it, Kensei could tell that she was being sincere about that, more so as she reached out her hand for a handshake. Not hesitating at all, he extended out his hand and returned the gesture as the two of them shook each other's hand.

"Iryuka-san, I didn't think that I'd run into you here."

"There was an errand that I needed to run for my father. I still had some time before returning, so I was looking to find something to occupy my time. Do you mind if my Knight and I accompany you for a time?"

Ravel looked conflicted about wanting Iryuka to join them since it meant that she could become a potential target too. It was a look and concern that Kensei could understand, which meant that the two had been friends for much longer than he thought.

"I think that would be fine," Kensei brought up smiling as Ravel stared at him wondering what he was thinking. "If you still have some time before needing to head back, then I think that it would be good to spend that time with a friend of yours. Right, Ravel?"

At that last part, Ravel could tell that he was attempting to reassure her that things would be alright and that she should accept the offer. She had made that declaration about not being afraid, but she was afraid that a friend of hers would end up getting hurt. And it was then that she remembered that she wasn't the only person who ended up making a declaration too.

"As long as Ken-sama is here, nothing will happen to me or Iryuka-san," Ravel said before smiling and looking at her friend. "Alright, then let's spend some time together Iryuka-san."

"Alright, Ravel. Also, I was wondering if there are any interesting stories that Kensei could tell," Iryuka asked as a glint could be seen in her eyes despite still stoic. "I see that he wields a katana, so that means he must have a lot of stories to tell."

"Well, she looks like she enjoys hearing about interesting and mischievous things. I wonder if all the pure-blood devils around my age will have interesting personalities like this," Kensei said looking forward to that if it was the case. "I have a lot of stories to tell if you don't mind listening to them."

"I have the time, and I want to listen."

Iryuka said as her eyes seemed to be beaming at the idea of hearing stories like that.

From there, Kensei and Ravel spent time with Iryuka and her female Knight, who remained silent as she walked right beside her King. There was a moment where the four-person group went to a hamburger restaurant named Akuma-naldo to have a meal and pass time. At that moment, they found themselves walking down the streets as Kensei told them a story that he previously told Ravel and Lady Phenex.

"So, that was one of the mischiefs caused by the one called the Mischievous Dragon."

"Yea, I almost forgot that Yu-Long could shapeshift into other things and thought that I found an injured weasel," Kensei said recalling what happened. "I, of course, was startled to hear Yu-Long's voice from it, then threw him in another direction as far as I could. I guess spending that much time around Sun Wukong allowed him to hide his presence."

"I see, I see, I never thought that I could hear a story like that from someone who actually met a dragon in person from before."

"Iryuka-san has always been one for loving interesting stories about mischief."

"I was also interested in hearing that Ravel had entered the Rating Games as her older brother's servant. I would often watch the Rating Games to see the matches, and she would often take leaderships roles from time to time. But, it's a shame."

"How so?"

"Ravel is smarter than her brother when it comes to planning, and the Rating Games would end easier if she was involved more in them."

"I-Iryuka-san, I think that you're exaggerating."

"I'm not. You have passed all our classes since we were in primary school together and more so now."

Based on what Kensei heard, both Ravel and Iryuka have been good friends since the two entered primary school and still attends the same school together.

"Well, I wonder if Lady Phenex would be interested in telling me if Ravel acted the same at that time."

"Ah, I could tell you. Back then, Ravel…."

"Ah, don't tell him something like that Iryuka-san!"

Ravel said blushing as she covered Iryuka's mouth with both her hands, while the latter still maintained her poker face without reacting to that.

"Hahaha, I'm sure that you were…ah."

"Oh?"

At that moment, Kensei ended up running into someone as he was focused on laughing at Ravel's reaction, then turned around to see who it was. And ended up finding someone who stood above him in height causing him to look up slightly. In front of him was a handsome, but rough-looking young man standing at least 6 ft and 4 inches over him, with short black hair and violet eyes. The most notable, his build was muscular, making it look as if he'd undergone strict training, which wasn't something he'd expect from a pure-blood devil.

But, the thing that Kensei noticed was that he resembled Sirzechs to a good degree.

Standing beside him was a beautiful blonde-haired and blue-eyed young woman, her hair was tied into a ponytail and dressed in rather professional wear.

Both of them ended up locking eyes with each other as if the two could sense something about the other, then an immediate realization came to them.

""I'm sorry about that. It was my mistake.""

Both of them apologized at the same time, causing some surprise at that moment.

"Ah, Sairaorg-sama, and Kuisha-sama."

Ravel spoke up gaining the young man now named Sairaorg's attention.

"Oh, you're the daughter of the Phenex Household, Ravel."

Sairaorg said wearing a smile on his face.

"I apologize for the run-in, our group wasn't paying attention."

Ravel respectfully said as she bowed her head.

"Hahaha, that's fine. I wasn't paying attention either, I was in the midst of discussing some business with Kuisha here. So, my attention wasn't entirely focused on looking where I was going either. But, I wasn't expecting to run into an interesting person."

"Same here."

Both Sairaorg and Kensei seemed to have sensed something from the other, causing a smirk to appear on their face. For one reason or another, there was a light lit within the fighting instincts of the men standing right in front of one another.

"Yo, my name is Kensei Amagiri."

"It's good to meet you. My name is Sairaorg Bael."

"He's a Bael? I heard most of them are arrogant and haughty. Well, aside from Sirzechs' mom, Venelana-san, he even gives off a more noble and respectful person. I can barely sense demonic power from him, but I can feel an insane amount of vitality from him."

Both of them gave a kind smile as the two reached to shake each other's hand, and were surprised afterward.

"He's got an insane grip. It's just a handshake, but it feels as if he could break my arm using something as simple as a single pull."

Kensei thought as he shook Sairaorg's hand.

"I can tell at a glance that there's a good flow of power within him even if he's holding it back. His arm is also a lot thinner than mine, but his grip is quite strong."

Sairaorg thought as he shook Kensei's hand.

"…."

"…."

Both Ravel and Kuisha both looked at the particular men that the two of them had accompanied wearing a nearly blank look on their face. As soon as the two young men stopped shaking hands, a look of realization came as the two felt something odd. At that moment, Kensei looked to have casually started walking beside Ravel and Iryuka, then placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Ravel, I was thinking that I remember seeing something I was interested in the store over there."

Kensei said pointing in that direction, causing her and even Iryuka to turn in that direction curiously.

As soon as the two turned their heads in that direction, even the Knight, Kensei performed a single movement of his hand besides Iryuka. Neither of them was able to notice that swift motion of his hand aside from Sairaorg, as a cautious look formed on his face.

"A store. I believe that was a toy store in that direction. What would be there for you?"

Ravel asked curiously.

"I have a little sister, who might like something from that store."

"Oh, then we could head there in a moment."

Ravel replied not finding the situation odd since Kensei was acting as casual as possible.

"Iryuka-sama, I believe that it's about time that we return to your father."

"Oh, it is around that time," Iryuka said as she turned to her Knight. "Ravel, I hope that we can see each other at a later date. And Kensei, I hope to hear more interesting stories too."

"I wouldn't mind. I have a lot of stories to tell."

Kensei said waving his free hand as the other one remained clasped, then looked as Iryuka and her Knight went in another direction after waving her hand.

"Again, I'm sorry about running into you like that, Sairaorg-san."

"No, that's fine. Besides, it was my fault too."

Sairaorg said acting casual in the same manner, then waved his hand as Kensei and Ravel started walking off.

"Sairaorg-sama…."

Kuisha seemed to have noticed his change in demeanor, but she looked to have maintained her calm demeanor without reacting.

"Kuisha, how about we return for now?"

Sairaorg casually asked as he started walking off, causing Kuisha to notice his reasoning and started following him.

"It was for a split second, but there was someone else here before hiding their presence again. It looks as if there's something is going on here."

He surmised in his head as he wasn't able to tell who that person was.

Kensei and Ravel were still walking forward at a distance, but she could tell that there was something wrong as he was holding onto her hand.

"Ken-sama, is there something wrong?"

"Well, it looks as if we got what we wanted."

"Huh?"

Ravel was confused, but then Kensei held out his previously clasped hand and was surprised.

There wasn't anything in Kensei's hands, but there was a slight scratch on his hand and he clasped his hand shut, and something was crushed in it.

"That was an…."

"An invisible light arrow. It was for a second, but I sensed someone on the roof firing this arrow at…."

"…Iryuka-san."

Ravel looked down as her friend would have been shot with a light arrow if it wasn't for Kensei, who had stepped out like that in time. There was a sense of guilt that started building up within herself since she intended to come out and catch her attacks. But, all those feelings stopped as she felt Kensei lightly grasping her hand, then glanced down at her.

"Nothing happened, and nothing is going to happen, Ravel."

"Right. But, why would that person attack Iryuka-san instead of me?"

"I don't know. But, it does remind me of someone who would do that."

Kensei pointed out, then looked around to see that there weren't that many people around them and found there a clear alleyway was beside them. He gently pulled her in that direction as she didn't resist that movement at all as the two entered the empty alley.

"Ken-sama, what're we going to…ahhh?!"

Ravel squealed surprised as she was lifted off the ground, and was currently being held in Kensei's arms, feeling her cheeks turning red from the suddenness.

"Well, we need to move fast to get to a proper clearing."

Kensei said as he smiled at Ravel, then prepared to jump.

"B-But, Ken-sama, I don't think that…kyaaah!"

Ravel squealed again as she and Kensei were flung into the air, due to the latter jumping high into the ground with more leg strength than she expected. Reaching a certain height, he started running along the vertical walls with little to no trouble without even building up speed for that. After reaching the building's edge and landed on top of the roof, he started running at high speed using Shinsoku.

"Hang on for a moment, this is going to be a bit fast!"

Kensei warned as Ravel instinctively wrapped her arms around him and placed her head into his chest as he had started moving at higher speeds wondering whether or not that person was following him. At that moment, he did feel a presence of light chasing after him at high speeds too.

"Alright, it looks as if that's working. So, let's kick this up a notch."

After reaching the edge of the next building roof, he kicked off it, then in a surprise turn of events, Kensei started to kick off the air without leverage. In addition to the high-speed, he was capable of moving through the air by kicking off it. It was a variation of the original Shinsoku, Shinsoku: Tenpo. Because of both those techniques, he can use three-dimensional movement.

Due to the height that they were in, and the speed, it was possible that no one could get a clear view of what was happening right above them. At the same time, Ravel decided to open her eyes and could see the height the two of them were at. Despite the situation, she couldn't help thinking back to a familiar scene that she read from one of the books that a butler had given her about a certain hero.

'The Hero held the rescued Princess in his arms as the two soared through the skies above, escaping from what imprisoned her, and starting a new life with him.'

It was some line from her book, which felt as if it was starting to come alive, and that started stirring up all the old feelings she thought were gone. And that alone was enough for a smile to start forming on her face.

It was almost a minute before Kensei landed inside of a clearing that was far enough from people and the capital, so it wouldn't cause trouble for them. Seeing that things were clear, he ended up placing Ravel on the ground.

"I'm sorry about picking you up without warning."

Kensei apologized as he turned to face Ravel who started fixing her clothing.

"It's fine, trust me. …I wouldn't mind doing that again."

"Huh?"

"Nothing!"

Ravel replied seriously as Kensei couldn't hear the last part of what she said.

"So, are we heading back to the castle?"

"Well, after seeing the person who went through so much trouble following us here," Kensei said as he turned his body around to see a figure heading in their direction. "I'd be rude if I didn't see the person himself."

Landing in front of Kensei and Ravel was the figure clothed in a black stealth outfit, then stood in front of them in dead silence. He was covered in a light aura that caused the blonde-haired girl to feel unnerved as he was showing a great deal of fighting intent. Kensei stared right at the person standing before them wearing a smirk on his face as if he realized something.

"Oh, I see that you've improved since the last time we met."

"…?"

The person in front of him reacted as if showing surprise that Kensei realized their identity already.

"Ken-sama, how do you know this person?"

Rave was also surprised about the situation.

"I did have some reminders since the first time I heard about what happened to Ravel and is sounded so familiar to the tactics someone else used. Someone who shoots someone in their most vulnerable spots from a distance using light. And is low enough to target someone close to them just to break their focus," Kensei started looking at the man in front of him. "One of the Dynamic Duo from that hellish island, Jason."

Kensei revealed directing his attention at the male who didn't look phased at all. It was then, that he reached for the helmet that covered his face and took it off. Under it was a handsome blonde-haired young man who seemed to have reached his twenties and hazel eyes that stared at him. It was, in fact, Jason, one of the few who turned their back on their fellow captives and became a Gehenna Guard.

"Well, how long has it been since I last saw that irritating face of yours?"

Jason asked as he stared at him with his hazel eyes peering at him.

"Almost seven years, give or take a couple days or weeks. I'm surprised to see that the first request from a clan in the Underworld happens to also involve the people responsible for our group."

"The feeling is mutual since me being here is because of you and your group."

Jason commented without showing much cockiness compared to before, instead of looking more mature.

"Ken-sama, who is this person?"

Ravel asked still feeling unnerved but surprised that Kensei knew the person who could have attacked her.

"I'll explain later, but this is an old enemy of mine from my past. I didn't think that Jason would have been the one who has been involved in this one," Kensei revealed. "Speaking of which, I thought that I and the others had dismantled that place. But, here you are standing right in front of me and wearing some expensive-looking outfit, and equipment."

"Well, sometime after you and your ragtag team of misfits dismantled Hagun Island. The island has been placed under the new management of a Benefactor who appears to have shared our grudge with you."

"Benefactor?"

After hearing that word from him, Kensei thought back to the battle at Kyoto involving the Demon Eater who had talked about a benefactor too.

"I never thought that we would have recovered from that little rebellion your group started, but here we are better than ever. It's almost as if we received a little miracle for our group."

"Well, good for your group. But, what does that have to do with the Phenex Clan?"

"The Phenex Clan produced something that our leader wants, and I'm here to get it," Jason said before holding a hand out as golden light started gathering around it. "I'm not the same person that you fought seven years ago. I know that you're not the same. So, let's see who has grown the most."

Kensei prepared himself as he noticed the light manifested and took shape as a more intricate bow, which wasn't comparable to the one he used seven years ago. It looked as the entire thing was compressed into the shape of a bow, giving off the impression that even a High-Class Devil would be vaporized.

"Well, let's test that out."

Kensei pulled out a talisman from his pocket, which manifested a barrier that surrounded Ravel, meaning that it'd be difficult for him to fight and protect her. It wasn't a normal barrier since it gave off a great deal of power, which gave off the impression that normal attacks couldn't bypass it. She couldn't do anything in this situation since the light power from him could be a potential one-hit kill for her.

"In that barrier, it's possible for you to launch attacks from inside it, which will pass through it. So, don't be scared to assist me when you can. This is your fight too."

Kensei uttered in a whisper surprising her, but she nodded her head strongly.

"Now, let's see…."

Just as Kensei looked, there was a light arrow inch in front of him, which was fired from Jason's bow.

But, it wasn't anything that he couldn't handle as he was capable of slashing it with Kurogane through sharp reflexes. It was then that Jason released a wide spread of golden light arrows at Kensei, of course, not caring for the potential injuries from stray arrows. He needed to deal with all the arrows without letting them go off into other directions and hit nearby devils.

At the same time, a white aura covered Kurogane as the silver hamon turned white too, meaning that he infused it with the "Metal" element. He also strengthened his physical performance using ki, letting him cut apart all of the arrows being launched at him, causing them to shatter from the contact.

"He's better than before. His light powers are about the same as a genuine High-Class Angel, and all of them are moving at high speed. There's also the fact that…."

As Kensei was thinking that, he moved his head to the side on reflex, then a wound appeared on the side of his cheek. Ravel noticed this too and recalled the previous incident before arriving there where Kensei was holding an invisible arrow.

"He's somehow making the light arrows invisible," Ravel noted as she was thinking about whatever could be the reason for that. "Ken-sama, he must be turning them invisible by bending the light!"

"Yea, I thought that might be the case! Thanks for confirming that for me," Kensei noted before Jason released a hail of light arrows at him. "But, there's something that you might need to hear, Jason!"

"And that would be?"

"Claire's light is better and more beautiful," Kensei declared as he channeled ki into Kurogane, resulting in a blue aura surrounding it. "Tougen Amagiri-ryuu: Amatsu Ryuuho!"

Kensei tightened his grip on Kurogane, then slashed it, releasing a blue slash towards the hail of arrows, causing all of them to be destroyed. Jason was covered in sudden golden light, before moving at high speed avoiding it as the slash attack sailed past him and into the sky. Seeing that, Kensei used Shinsoku and ended up getting right behind him swinging Kurogane toward his blindspot.

Sensing something, Kensei moved his head backward as a light arrow was fired at him from point-blank range despite the supposed disadvantage. After looking at him a second time, he noticed that he shifted his light bow in the form of a crossbow around the size of a handgun.

"Well, you've become quite versatile."

"And you're more irritating than before."

Jason said as he kept firing light arrows at Kensei from close-range, which he avoided utilizing a wide arrange of motions. Each of the attacks would be enough to wound a trained human from Kibou Town. Even all that training from Hayashi on Hagun Island wasn't able to produce results like this.

Jason soon moved in another direction was a wave of flames was sent toward him, which originated from Ravel, who was still covered in a barrier.

"This is getting annoying. I think that I'll bring in the others out too."

Jason said as his shadow started extending outwards around them, then several men dressed in similar clothing started coming out too. Their numbers reached twenty-five as all of them were armed with weapons ranging from guns and swords. All of their weapons were advanced, which gave off a magical feel, almost like something that an inventor of Zane's caliber could invent.

Kensei could sense that all of them were stronger than normal humans, if not being about the same as Middle-Class Devils. But, based on the hostility that some of them were leaking, some of them recognized him.

"Well, isn't this a surprise? Most of you wouldn't happen to be a part of the group that I…."

At that moment, Kensei's comment was interrupted as several bullets were fired off at him, a number of them had different attributes added onto them.

"I'll take that as a yes."

Kensei said as he sense serious hostility from the group as he avoided their attacks with high-speed movements as the bullets were released. Once one of them came in contact with something like a rock or tree, their attributes came alive causing them to break. The sword wielders charged at Kensei not caring about the hail of bullets that were being fired at them; more so, since their clothing protected them from the bullets.

Kensei didn't have trouble fighting against the swordsmen coming at them, even if their weapons looked to be enhanced using magic. He didn't know how many were a part of the group from Hagun Island, but their improved skills didn't pose a threat to them. He was capable of contending with him using his sword and physical attacks, the latter didn't appear to phase them much.

"Most of those punches and kicks would stagger even a devil. I guess those outfits are absorbing the impacts."

Avoiding the bullets at the same time was irritating for him though, which is a thought that entered his head as he jumped into the air.

"Well, this entire situation is bringing me back to Hagun Island. But, this time, their formation and tactics appear to be more honed and rehearsed. It looks as if someone went through more trouble training them and putting them all through the wringer than Hayashi."

Kensei noted as he was turned into a target as the gunmen started firing off rounds at him, which he was starting to counter. Before that could happen, Ravel released a fireball into the air, melting the bullets before either of the bullets could reach him. Seeing that he sent an appreciative look in her direction.

"Ken-sama is stronger than them, but their equipment and maneuvers look as if it was designed just to counter him. One group is attempting to keep him at bay with close-ranged attacks, and the other is attempting to hit him using long-ranged attacks. And that guy, Jason, I believe is attempting to get a perfect shot at Ken-sama," Ravel was thinking to herself as she looked at their entire formation, then came up with an idea. "Ken-sama try to break their formation!"

"Got it," Kensei said as he held Kurogane in his hand, then smirked confidently. "If it was at that time seven years ago. Or even a year ago, then that tactic would have worked. "But, if you keep treating me like I'm that same kid you thought you could bully, then you're going to get hurt! Tougen Amagiri-ryuu…."

One of the swordsmen came at him using great speed, then tried bringing his sword downwards, but lost track of his intended target. Seconds later, a strong slash could be felt on his back, which sliced through his combat outfit despite being durable, causing blood to leak out.

"…Kenbu. And…."

After that, Kensei produced another katana from another dimension as the other started approaching, all of them to attack him. He didn't look deterred from the gunmen prepared and swordsmen coming at him to attack. Instead, he prepared both swords in his hand, twisting his body around as if to prepare for a full-powered slash using both. There was a slight silence as the wind seemed to gather around him as his eyes were aimed forward.

"…Tatsumaki!"

Kensei spun himself around at high speed without losing his balance, then stopped, sending a miniature tornado toward the group of men. In response to this, the men attempted to avoid it, however, some of them were blown away or sucked into the tornado. And as planned, their formation was broken apart as Ravel marveled at how he pulled that off.

"Phew, I need to get used to that one. It makes me a little bit dizzy when I use that. Or I might not need to make it a half spin."

Kensei pointed out jokingly as he started regaining his bearings.

At the same moment, he sensed that Jason charged up a light arrow without needing to make preparations, which wasn't something he'd expect from someone who wasn't an angel. Kensei moved to intercept the charged light spear using Kurogane, but that was unneeded. A sudden shockwave was released beside him, which sent it off into another direction.

Dooooon!

As soon as it landed on the ground, it caused a noticeable explosion of light, creating a noticeable crater, which is something that would attract the attention of people.

"Hahaha, that was quite something."

Kensei turned his head to see Sairaorg approaching him with his Queen, Kuisha walking beside him dutifully.

"I had that handled, you know?"

Kensei said with some humor behind that question.

"I thought so, but it appears as if there was an interesting situation here."

Sairaorg commented as Kensei realized that he likely guessed that there was someone following after them, and tried attacking Iryuka.

"Yea, apparently someone from my past is starting to cause trouble here too."

Kensei said as some people managed to free themselves from the tornado, which soon disappeared and started to stand back up to their feet.

"Their group appears quite durable. I believe an attack like that would down most."

"Their equipment is lessening physical attacks and likely even magical attacks too. But, it might be possible with a strong enough attack."

Kensei smiled at the fact that Ravel was trying her best to give them as much information as she could be based on the situation. She didn't know their tactics or equipment but was learning about them as she kept on watching as the battle progressed. And due to that assistance alone, Kensei was capable of focusing on fighting without him needing to figure out their strategies.

"Thanks, Ravel, you're a big help."

Kensei said as he prepared to deal with the men who recovered from that assault.

"I'll take half, and you'll take the other half."

"That seems fine. I wonder how much those outfits of theirs will handle a punch from me."

Sairaorg said as he started cracking his punch.

"I'll support you whenever I can. That person, in particular, appears to favor attacking a person's blind spot. Not that, my Master, Sairaorg-sama can be downed by such tactics. And it appears as if he doesn't require much charging time to launch powerful arrows."

If Kensei didn't know any better than the last before comment sounded a little more emotional than professional.

"Just a heads up, he can turn his arrows invisible too."

"That's an interesting thing I haven't heard of before even from an angel."

Sairaorg said smirking at the idea of seeing that for himself.

He rushed forward at speeds that Kensei wondered whether or not he could handle without Shinsoku, then there was the first punch that he lunched. One of the much more well-built men took it to the stomach, their outfit didn't appear to handle it all as blood came from their helmets. It didn't end there as the men were blasted backward into another group of men.

"It appears as if it absorbs some of the force behind that punch. Impressive."

Sairaorg looked impressed about their equipment as Kensei smirked.

"I know that I said my physique wouldn't lose to devils, but I think it'd definitely lose to him. If I did end up fighting Sairaorg head-on and taking a couple of punches, I think there's a high chance he could kill me."

Kensei didn't sound worried at all, as his desire to fight Sairaorg seemed to have been stirred up.

Just as Kensei thought that he blocked an attack from a swordsman using Kurogane and noticed that a group of them started gathering around him. In their hands were swords, even some katanas that held different elemental attributes added onto them. He avoided them without trouble using speed and footwork as neither of them could get a single hit on him.

"Tougen Amagiri-ryuu: Tsukisasu!"

Kensei thrust Kurogane forward, aiming for a swordsman wielding a greatsword, and tried blocking his technique by using the sword's flat. However, instead of blocking Kurogane, it penetrated the blade and stabbed the man in his abdomen, causing blood to leak from his mouth. There was another man that tried slashing Kensei from right behind him, but he responded to that attack and ended up maneuvering behind him.

"If I can't break through their defenses using punches, then I'll pierce them using palms."

Kensei said as he retracted his free hand that was formed into an open palm, then thrust it forward striking him in the abdomen.

"Gah."

It caused a notable impact as the palm strike seemed to have pierced through him, then channeled ki into it, and pushed the man backward. He was sent back into another group causing them to be knocked down but started recovering from the strike. It was then that Kensei started performing an assortment of attacks that had sent ki into their bodies piercing through their defenses and downing them.

"Oh, from his movements, it seems as if he's extensively trained in martial arts too and has trained his body to a good degree. But, his preference appears to be swordsmanship rather than using fists. However, this isn't just an ordinary martial art."

Sairaorg pointed out taking his attention away from the battle as another man was knocked backward. He could see that based on his movements that Kensei was well trained in martial arts to more of a degree than he'd normally see.

"This situation is going in a direction that was expected. It was a simple test to see how these men would handle fighting against Kensei and collect data on him. I didn't think that the Strongest Youth would appear here as well. Both the Phenex Girl and Abaddon Woman are troublesome too."

Jason surmised noting that Ravel was still looking at the situation, and assisted wherever she could. Kuisha was blasting the soldiers around her lightning produced using lightning, shocking them underneath their armor. She'd also been deflecting their attacks using portals leading into another dimension opened in the air.

"Well, I have this thing. So, I might as well test to see how one of them does in a fight."

Jason said snapping his finger, causing a magic circle to appear beside where Kuisha had been standing, then a figure appeared from it. It didn't take her a second to react and turned around to face the opponent, but once it entered her sight. In that second, a black-clawed hand was nearing her face and she started moving in to counter it. However, she realized that her counter-attack wouldn't make it in time.

But, Kuisha didn't receive a wound of any kind as she was pulled in another direction as Sairaorg moved in, and brought her out of harm's way.

"Are you alright, Kuisha?"

Sairaorg asked worriedly.

"Sairaorg-sama, I apologize for not…."

Kuisha tried, but Sairaorg stopped her.

"You don't have anything to apologize for."

Sairaorg said, having no reason to place blame on his Queen as he witnessed the entire thing happen himself. Kuisha still has more to learn, but is still a top-class Queen among her generation, being stronger than Yubelluna who was a more experienced Queen. If it was a normal opponent, then she would have no trouble dealing with it, however, this thing wasn't normal. Sairaorg looked and could see the back of the creature that had tried to attack his Queen.

"It immediately moved at top speed as soon as it appeared and went straight in for the closest kill without hesitating at all," Sairaorg said as he stood beside Kuisha, who looked to have almost had a faint blush but still maintained her composure. "I've never seen something like that before. Kensei, do you know what that is?"

"I have seen a lot of monsters since I turned seven. But, this is first for me too."

Kensei replied as he started moving closer to Ravel, who seemed unnerved after seeing the creature too.

Standing in front of them was a white humanoid-looking creature covered in some kind of black exoskeleton, and with clawed black hands. It was letting out a black aura from its body, letting a growl escape its mouth. Whatever it was, it turned around, revealing a white demonic-looking mask as its red eyes peered at the four standing before it. Neither, Kensei nor Sairaorg could come up with a single name to call this thing aside from a creature.

"I don't know the reason, but our Benefactor started bringing things like this with him and continued working on them all the time with a research team," Jason spoke out loud without showing the intent of getting involved and wanted to watch things occur. "I believe that he called this one, Hakki. Now, please, do your best to give this one a perfect test run. I'm interested in seeing what one of these things can do in a fight."

"Ken-sama, what is that thing?"

Ravel asked worriedly as she clenched her hands together.

Ravel, who would remain strong and calm couldn't shake the presence being released from it. And Kensei wasn't able to blame her for that since it would likely be the first time she met anything like this.

"I'm going to prepare to send you back as soon as I find an opening to do so. I have a bad feeling about this thing too," Kensei said staring forward at the creature called Hakki as Jason called it. But, there was an odd feeling he got from it as it peered at him with gleaming dark red eyes. "I haven't met a creature like this before. It doesn't feel as strong as Brynhildr-san or Niðhöggr. But, what's this odd feeling that I'm getting from looking at this thing?"

A/N: And there goes the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, first off, it was the reveal what kind of the metal Kurogane was made from, Amahagane, meaning Heavenly Steel. It later proceeded with Kensei and Ravel going around Lucifaad in an attempt to find out who attacked Ravel. However, that wasn't all, it was also the introduction of Iryuka, her Unnamed Knight Sairaorg, and Kuisha. I thought this would be the perfect time to introduce some other characters since Kensei went to the Underworld.

And the biggest surprise was the reintroduction of Jason, one of the Gehenna Guards from Hagun Island, and was the person who attacked Ravel. It looks as if he has become a lot stronger since then, and could give High-Class Angel a run for their money. It appears as if all this change was due to the one called the Benefactor, who involved himself with them years before. And it was the final reveal of the thing that was sent to him in the previous chapter, a creation named Hakki.
