Welcome to the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, but before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:

altair96: Thanks. I wanted there to be a relaxing moment for them due to the previous situation. I thought that it was about time that the father and oldest son sparred against one another, as well as talked about the Evil Dragon, Kuroki, whose blood he drank. Yes, it was about time that I also introduced some of the parents from those among the Kibou Alliance. I'll continue doing that.

The Second Encounter

On a certain day, Kensei and the others found themselves standing inside one of the special dimensions, which existed in the Kibou Alliance. From the Sword Team: Alice, Lingqi, and Ravel; the Lancelot Team: Maria, Iris, and Alex; and the Jade Team: Hisui and Rui. Not all of their members could join them as there were things the others needed to attend to, but there was enough for this.

The dimension in itself looked to be much more of a mountainous area that was almost desert with various rough grounds here and there.

"I wonder what Zane wanted us for."

Maria wondered out loud, never knowing what the purpose of these meetings was sometimes.

"Yeah, it can either be showing off a new spell or invention."

Hisui stated while smiling to herself.

"Well, whatever Zane plans on showing us, he sounded the most excited that we've heard thus far."

Kensei added, recalling the excited tone Zane had over the phone.

"I believe this would be the first time that I've seen one of Zane-sama's demonstrations."

Ravel stated, wondering what she'll see from Zane for the first time.

"There's going to be more in the future. Zane comes up with all new inventions and ideas on an almost regular basis," Kensei said, sensing Zane and Lena beginning to approach them. "It got so bad that he tends to forget all other things aside from inventing. And that's the reason Lena is here."

"Hmm, I heard that from Claire-sama too."

As Ravel said that, both Zane and Lena appeared right in front of him, the former stood before the group with a confident smile that could be seen on his face.

"I'm glad to see that you all gathered right here and now," Zane announced as he stood in front of them. "I know the others couldn't come because they're preoccupied tending to your parents and other things. But, I'm happy to inform you all that we've finished creating our group's special vehicles! So, Lena if you will."

"Ugh."

Lena rolled her eyes at Zane's dramatic tone.

But, she snapped her fingers, summoning multiple magic circles right behind them, from them, varied silhouettes appeared in the light. After it faded, vehicles resembling motorcycles and hummers appeared right there in front of them, as if in a dramatic showing.

[Ooooh!]

An impressed sound came from those witnessing the vehicles before them.

Same as most inventions, it looked to be the combination of magic and modern engineering, neither looked to be made from some kind of metal different from ones in the Human World. But, it wasn't surprising as their research department has looked into legendary metals.

"Here are the Research Department's latest creations in potential pursuit vehicles," Zane said pointing his attention towards the motorcycles on one end, then the hummers "The Jaegers, and the Sturms. Both vehicles' frames are created using our attempts to develop imitations of metals such as Mithril and Orichalcum. It's a starter, but the frames are much more durable than most vehicles, with the addition of a magic power generator."

"Heh. Of course, Zane and his group would develop something like this."

Maria couldn't help smiling as she witnessed her longtime friend's creations.

"So, I'm guessing that you want us to test drive them."

Rui said, finding herself interested in the inventions before them.

"You guys know me so well."

Zane joyfully laughed to himself, while scratching the back of his head, as Lena stared back at him in a deadpan way.

"So, this idiot here wants you all to test drive the vehicles in this location to get a better understanding of their capabilities in a situation such as this. As mentioned before each one is made of durable materials that won't be affected even under the most extraneous situations. However, the engines developed and added onto them is the first model developed using the demonic-powered generators in the Underworld. So, link up your Oracle Phones to the vehicles' systems and record their performance."

Lena explained the situation much more seriously and practically, something that was opposite to the energetic and simple one from Zane.

Not wanting to waste time and looking forward to the test drive, all of them decided what vehicle they would start testing for themselves. Before all that, Kensei looked to find that Kunou and Ravel seemed to be performing rock, paper, and scissors with one another. Those who were at least seventeen learned to drive vehicles inside locations such as this. Others such as Kensei and Maria received official licenses to drive motorcycles, while Lingqi, who was at the right age to drive other vehicles too.

But, Kunou and Ravel hadn't learned to drive said vehicles yet, but Claire picked up the basics, though, neither had the proper conditions yet.

"Ugh, Kunou lost!"

Kunou announced as she sadly groaned, as Ravel squealed on the inside in an attempt not to show the obvious excitement building up within them. As the Kyuubi looked down with a sad and disappointed look, Alice kindly led her in the direction of one of the Strums.

"So, it looks as if we'll be riding together."

Kensei stated, picking up one of the helmets placed on one of the Jaegers parked beside him, while handed the additional helmet.

"Y-Yes, it looks as if that's the case."

Ravel said, holding the helmet in her hands and looking flushed.

She watched as Kensei sat on the motorcycle, holding the handles in anticipation of the kind of experience it is going to turn into. Not wasting him, Ravel hopped onto the motorcycle behind them but soon started hesitating as she realized what she'll have to do next.

"I-I know, that it'll be safer if I hold onto Ken-sama. B-But, holding onto him, in such a manner would end up," she started feeling her heartbeat start to raise at the thought of holding. But, Ravel swallowed up the anxiousness building up within her chest, then leaned forward and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I love this feeling."

Kensei could feel Ravel's arms tightly wrapping around him, feeling some hesitation based on the shaking he felt. Noticing her starting to calm down, he linked up his Oracle Phone to the Jaeger that he started to drive. Having done so, Kensei was surprised to find that there was a new digital display being shown on the visor and started seeing all manner of different information coming up.

"Well, this is interesting."

Kensei breathed out as things ranging from the usual charts he'd see on a regular motorcycle, such as its MPH, in addition to his name being shown too.

He looked around to find that the others were inside their vehicles too, even Zane and Lena, who were also driving one of the Strum. Maria, Layla, and Lingqi, same as Kensei were driving one of the Jaegers too.

"Alright, are you ready, Ravel?"

Kensei asked, smiling as he looked forward.

"Y-Yes, Ken-sama!"

Ravel called out, in a mixture of anticipation and anxiousness.

"Alright, let's go!"

Starting the motorcycle, the magic-powered engine came alive, releasing a silent hum that was barely audible, making it a decent silent vehicle. A second later, Kensei was the first person to start driving as the Jaeger took off at an initial start, greater than any normal motorcycle he'd driven before.

"Whoa, this is awesome!"

Kensei was excited as the super motorcycle continued striding forward, reaching a higher speed as time passed, as the speed meter started increasing more and more. He noticed that despite the rough road underneath them, the motorcycle was handling well, no different from a normal road.

"This is quite the new experience."

Despite the situation, Kensei could hear Ravel as clear as usual, something that he'd contributed to the helmets on their head.

"Yeah, I hadn't expected that it'd handle this well for a test drive. I thought that there'd be some issues with them, but they're performing rather well."

"You did mention that Zane-sama makes it a habit to check all details several times before going along with their Research Team's plans. But, it is surprising, I haven't driven something such as this before. I know, there was a time when Ruval-oniisama took me out on a trip in the Human World once in his car."

"Really?"

"T-There was this place I wanted to do, that I heard made some sweet snacks and tea. And I wanted to see if it'd be possible to improve mine."

Ravel seemed flustered as she admitted that, admitting that she'd had such desires in the past. He was surprised to hear that she'd had an interest in making tea and snacks the first time they met, but hearing that she'd had the desire in the past was adorable. It has been a couple of minutes since the two started driving on the Jaeger, then Kensei started getting the need to go faster.

"I'm going to kick it up a notch, Ravel! You ready?!"

"Y-Yes!"

Ravel announced, holding onto Kensei much tighter than before.

At that, Kensei turned it up a notch as the Jaeger sped forward at a much higher rate, to the point where it did a wheelie for a moment. Despite the incredible acceleration, neither of them felt the pressure produced by the motorcycle. It was likely the result of the barrier that was produced around the riders but despite all that the blonde-haired girl enjoyed the entire thing.

She didn't know where the others were, but she and Kensei were riding through a ravine, being impressed by how Kensei was capable of handling the motorcycle.

"Let's see if this thing can handle this!"

Kensei said as he held onto the motorcycle's handles, then turned towards the ravine's wall, which the Jaeger all, but started riding along the walls.

"Iyah!"

Surprised, Ravel leaned forward, linking her hands together in an attempt to not fall off; she didn't even have the time to be impressed about the Jaeger's potential maneuverability. It didn't take all that time for them to land on top of the ravine, witnessing the colorful sky before them. At that, Kensei parked the Jaeger right there, then later removed the helmet he wore.

"Well, this looks like the perfect spot."

"Yeah."

Ravel agreed, doing the same thing as she looked at the environment.

It looked like a beautiful mountainous area with an incredible red-colored landscape, which both could get a clear view of from there.

"I'm always surprised that your group produces such an environment through the techniques that you've learned thus far. I feel as if the Kibou Alliance is going to end up being more formidable in the future, almost as if it was its faction and military force."

"Well, that was the idea. A group with some of the greatest power and potential would end up a deterrent for people such as the even Great King Faction and Old Devils. But, we're still not at that point yet, there's still so much more for us to accomplish."

"I still think that it's impressive you managed to achieve connections with the Norse and Greek Factions. Both are known for their remarkable craftsmanship, while the Norse is known for their magical advancement superior to all the others. It appears as if the Research Club led by Zane-sama is continuing to learn certain things from them."

"Well, I'd heard if Odin and Zeus were the same in their prime, then they likely wouldn't have agreed with working with a bunch of kids. Though we're still at the stage of receiving the basic things, I doubt that they would ever do something as reckless as handing out their greatest secrets to us."

At Kensei's comment, Ravel nodded her head in agreement. But, then looked down to find that one of the Strums was riding around in an erratic, but controlled manner. She was surprised to find that whoever was driving did an assortment of different turns and drifted across the rough ground.

"Eh, it looks as if Hisui-sama is doing something reckless."

Ravel assumed that Hisui was the person behind the wheel of that Strum.

"Uh, Ravel. I hate to break it to you, but that's Alice driving."

"Eh?"

Ravel turned her head to Kensei, thinking that he was joking around, but she could see that he wasn't joking.

"Eh?! That's Alice-sama?!"

Ravel was surprised that someone as calm-looking as Alice could and would do something like all this behind the wheel of a vehicle. She looked more worried as Kunou was driving on the passenger's side beside her too.

"Is Kunou-sama alright?"

"Oh, Kunou. Yeah, she loves exciting things like this," Kensei said, before laughing. "We were surprised too. As Abigail agreed to teach us how to drive, then Alice got behind the wheel and started driving around like crazy. It's not something that she'd be able to do outside spaces like this."

"I can see that."

Ravel gave a wry smile.

She and he looked around to find that Lingqi same as him was doing all manner of stunts riding her motorcycle, same for Maria and Lena. Zane and Lena, and Hisui and Rui were driving their Strums and seemed to be having a decent time, though neither seemed to be doing the same stunts as Alice.

"Well, it looks as if they're all having a blast riding around in their vehicles."

"Hehehe, yes," Ravel laughed a bit as she watched everyone else enjoying themselves too, but then she heard a notification from her Oracle Phone. "Oh, I received a message from Claire-sama."

Ravel opened the messages, then started reading them, but the first couple of sentences into reading, she couldn't hide her surprise.

"K-Ken-sama, Claire-sama has asked by someone to request a meeting with someone."

"Oh, from who?"

"From the Governor-General of Grigori, Azazel-sama."

"Oh."

Kensei seemed surprised about the fact that the Governor-General wanted to see them at this point. He'd known about Azazel's connections with his parents, but there hasn't been one attempt at making contact.

"So, when is this meeting supposed to be?"

"Claire-sama said, if possible, Azazel-sama would like to meet today, an hour from now. It's possible as there's nothing our group is going to be doing in that time frame."

"It's interesting that he'd want to meet us right now. There shouldn't be an issue, I heard that Azazel wasn't the kind of person who cares much about picking the right time and place sometimes."

"Then, I'll inform Claire-sama and have the meeting scheduled."

Ravel said, then started texting the information straight to Claire interesting in how this meeting was going to end. Kensei himself was interested as this would be the first time that he'll encounter Azazel, someone who had a great deal of knowledge of sacred gears.

Several minutes passed as Kensei and the others continued with the test driving of the Jaegers and Strums, with all the information collected being given to the Research Group. Being informed about the meeting with the Governor-General did interest them in hearing what such a person wanted.

At the Amagiri Clan Main House, Kensei and the others found themselves sitting inside the appropriate area to hold a meeting. There, he sat with the members of his team, including Minako standing right behind him. He didn't see the point of having them standing there, but the women wouldn't back down from this; something he didn't push as he knew these women, in particular, was stubborn by nature.

A magic circle appeared in the room, something belonging to the fallen angels, with the silhouettes of two men at the center. Once the light faded, their figures could be seen before their eyes. The first was a handsome black-haired (with blonde bangs) man in his twenties dressed in a casual suit; despite giving off a bad guy vibe, he'd looked a little too casual. The second was a handsome silver-haired young man, who didn't look that much older than Lingqi, dressed in clothing meant for a bad guy.

Both gave off an aura far above most of the opponents that they've dealt with thus far, not surprising considering their status.

"…?"

Seeing the silver-haired youth, Lingqi and him found themselves locking eyes with one another, with him wearing a smile on his face.

"I'm guessing that he's the one."

Noticing the exchange between them, Claire's thoughts about his identity was revealed.

"Yes, he's the Hakuryuukou. Vali Lucifer."

"Pft," the black-haired man standing beside the silver-haired young man couldn't help laughing the moment he'd noticed Kensei. It wasn't long until he burst out laughing while pointing straight at him. "Hahahaha, you look too much like Tetsuo as a teen, but those eyes of yours remind me of your mom. You know, when I heard their kid was making waves in the supernatural world, I couldn't help laughing."

[….]

Those from the Sword Team looked forward at the whimsical tone that came from the man, who they'd identified as Azazel. But, his personality and first impression were something that they'd expected, considering that Tetsuo has talked about him before.

"Hah, well, let's get the boring introductions out of the way. I'm Azazel, the Governor-General of Grigori and the one who leads Grigori."

Azazel introduced himself.

"And I'm sure you're well aware of who we are."

"Hahaha, who wouldn't know the little group that has been making great strides in the world despite being built up for a year," Azazel said, taking a seat closer to them as the Hakuryuukou leaned up against the wall listening into the conversation. "A gathering of supernatural beings, power users, magic users, and sacred gear users. You've gotten into the good graces of those old guys from the Norse and Greek Faction. And that his team is composed of interesting people, most being some wonderful sacred gear users."

"Well, you're about as much as mom explained."

"Hohoho, and what did Sakura say about me?"

"She said you were a useless old pervert, one step from being a mad scientist. And that she was between hating you and considering you at most an acquaintance," Kensei replied, showing no hesitation, causing Azazel to give a wry smile. "She also mentioned the time you tried flirting with her when she was in her twenties, so she kicked you in the…."

"Anyway," Azazel seemed to want to not recall 'that' incident recalling that moment as if it was yesterday. "Jeez, of course, she'd tell her kid about that. In mentioning that Claire and the others, as well as Vali, found themselves almost laughing at the thought. "I see that White Nemesis, Annihilation Maker, Empyreal Anthem, and even the Spiritus Armiger user that Vali fought against all that time ago."

At the mention of that, Lingqi noticed that Vali was turning his attention towards herself and Kensei, both of them could tell that he was sizing them up. It was obvious enough that Vali showed interest in fighting against them in the future.

"There's so much that I want to talk about. But, before that, I wonder if that straight-laced angel will speak up. Yo, Radueriel."

[It has been a long time since we last talked to one another like this. Despite the time since the Great War, you'd never gotten the chance to meet my previous hosts. But, despite all that time, you haven't changed a bit, Azazel.]

Radueriel spoke up, not seeming to hate or show distaste for Azazel despite being former enemies.

"You haven't changed either. I see you're about as calm and serious as before," Azazel stated, then it looked as if he started to reminiscence. "You, who started as a low-class angel, who guarded Heaven's Gates with all the others. But, then your strength started blooming during the battles caused during the previous Great War. It was there, that you were raised into an Ultimate-Class Angel with the potential to reach Heaven's prized Archangel, Michael."

[…I didn't care much about power. I simply wanted to perform my duty. But, you seem to be a bit different from all that time ago. It looks as if you're satisfied with your current life.]

"Of course! I get to research the sacred gears and develop things as much as I want, as well as even getting to witness the growth of their wielders. There are those like Vali here, I never thought that Lucifer's great-grandson would end up the next host of Albion. And the Rating Game Champion's relative here if your host too."

[Well, I shared the previous thoughts, but I'm quite glad that I found a good host. No matter what happens in this era and the future, I'll continue to assist Claire in reaching whatever heights she wants.]

"…Radueriel."

Claire uttered under her breath, feeling glad that she has Radueriel with her.

"I never thought that I'd see the day where an angel and half-devil would end up cooperating in such a manner," Azazel stated, feeling the irony in this situation. "I feel as if this era is going to end up being the far most interesting one. Aside from the recent reports about the current generation of Longinus users' development, it seems as if the normal sacred gear users are going through some unforeseen development too. It wouldn't be surprising to see a couple of Longinus users born among them."

Azazel continued uttering his great interest in the group in front of him, but it made them glad that Zane and the others weren't here as it would've likely taken longer.

"If possible, I'd be interested in hearing whether or not the young girl's here have managed to reach their Balance Breakers yet. I'm aware of Lingqi here, who've achieved Balance Breaker before her previous confrontation with Vali here about a year ago."

For a moment, neither of the girls said a word, but then started speaking.

"I haven't reached mine."

Claire replied.

"Me neither."

Alice added.

"I have mine."

Minako stated, raising her hand and smiling.

"Really?"

Kensei and the others turned around to face Minako, who stuck out her tongue while performing a V-shape with her finger in front of her eyes.

"Yep. Isn't this world-famous idol simply amazing?"

Minako replied, causing her to receive odd stares from those on her side, but neither of them doubted that she'd achieved Balance Breaker.

"Hahaha, this idol sure is amazing. I couldn't tell you the number of people from Grigori who listens to your songs from time to time. But, if you're interested, I believe that taking advice from this Governor-General would end up a great benefit for those in your group."

Azazel stated, all but looking forward to advising the sacred gear users among this group.

"Well, I'm sure that I and the others would be interested in hearing the advice from the Governor-General who once assisted my old man in the past," Kensei said, showing no issue with that. "But, does this have anything to do with why you're here?"

"No, but it's one of the reasons that I came here. There were simply too many interesting things here at the time, so it's kinda difficult for me to collect my thoughts," Azazel stated before going straight to the point. "As for why I came here. I'd like to ask for the assistance of the Kibou Alliance to resolve a specific issue I've had."

"And that situation would be?"

Kensei and the others became interested in what kind of issue Azazel and Grigori would have for him to come to them for assistance.

"It's nothing too severe. But, it looks as if Kokabiel, one of Grigori's leaders is seeking to start the Great War between the Three Factions once again. He assaulted three different Churches, stealing the Excalibur that each of them held and headed to the town that Sirzechs' younger sister is in charge of."

"You mean Kuoh Town?"

"…."

Hearing that her hometown, where she was born is going to soon end up being the epicenter of this Grigori leader's attempt at another war caused feelings to well up within Claire. It was something that didn't go unnoticed by the others, who were aware of her connection to that town.

"Geez, Rias must have bad luck or something. First, she had to deal with fighting against Riser, and now a fallen angel leader is heading straight to her town. Not that I'm denying this request, but why come to us?"

"What, I thought that my old friend's son would love the chance to fight against a fallen angel that'd survived the previous Great War without negative repercussions."

"As I said, I'm not rejecting the request. But, I just want to know the reason why you're asking us to fight against a Grigori leader. If anything, then shouldn't you want to solve your issue?"

"You're quite the inquisitive and thoughtful one. I'd almost thought that you'd jump at the chance to fight Kokabiel no questions asked. If anything, I doubt those geezers from the Five Principal Clan wouldn't remain silent. I think they'd be aware that restarting the Great War would mean that Japan might turn into a battlefield too, dragging all the other beings here into it too. So, since you've become acquainted with Sirzechs' younger sister and the fact it will end up involving your side too, that you'd be the right person to ask."

Hearing Azazel's explanation caused Kensei to understand his reasoning, but it felt as if there was something far more to it. But, that was something that he'll worry about soon enough.

"He's right, I can't turn down fighting against a Cadre without worrying about the consequences. Besides, though Rias and the others could fight against Riser and his peerage, Kokabiel is out of their league. If something does happen to Rias or Sona, then Azazel might have to deal with a pissed-off Super Devil and the Leviathan," Kensei was well aware that both Sirzechs and Serafall would do anything for their younger sisters. And if anything were to happen, then it'll end up disastrous. "Also, Kuoh Town is a place important to Claire too. I doubt that it's going to happen, but a Great War starting here would also involve the Shinto Gods too."

"I'm also preparing to compensate your group with information and research data that might assist in the training of your group's sacred gear users.

"Well, it seems as if you've covered your basis well. I wouldn't be able to look Zane in the eye if I turned down the request if that's the reward," Kensei replied wearing a smirk on his face. "Alright, we'll take on the request."

"Alright, thanks for the assist! I thought that you wouldn't turn it down in the end, but hearing that makes me glad to hear. Ah, there are so many things that I still want to talk to you about, though. But, it has nothing to do with this group. So, if possible could we talk in private."

"Fine. But, what about the Hakuryuukou there?"

Kensei asked, turning his attention to Vali, who looked as if he didn't care about whatever was going on.

"Oh, Vali, well, if it's fine with you just let him roam around. I'm sure he'll be fine as long as there's a ramen shop somewhere."

Azazel replied, sparking a reaction from Vali.

"Well, there is a ramen shop here that we went to from time to time. If he's fine with it, Lingqi could show him the shop. I mean, if she's fine with showing him."

"That's fine. It's been a year since the two of us saw one another."

Lingqi replied, showing no issue with showing Vali to the ramen shop.

"I have no issue with that. I'm curious in hearing about that girl who managed to fight against me last year."

Vali stated, giving the first response throughout the entire situation.

And then, without waiting for her, he walked outside the meeting room without turning around. A faint sigh left out Lingqi's mouth as she followed behind him, knowing he wouldn't be able to find the ramen shop without her being there to assist him.

"Claire, I think you girls should find the others and explain the situation to them."

[Okay.]

Claire, Alice, Kunou, and Minako replied, showing no issue in doing this for Kensei.

All four of them soon followed behind Lingqi in leaving the meeting room to inform the others about what was going on right now. As the four women were leaving, Azazel wore a perverted smile on his face, while staring at a suspicious-looking Kensei.

"What?"

"Hehehe, I see the Last Amagiri is working on rebuilding his clan with the number of good women that he's got in his harem. Diehauser's relative. A girl with Annihilation Maker. A member of the Kushihashi Clan with Empyreal Anthem. And the nine-tailed princess of Kyoto," Azazel seemed to inch closer and closer to Kensei, while rubbing his chin. "Hehehe, so which one of them have you…."

"I'd stop, while you're ahead."

Kensei unsheathed Kurogane, holding it straight underneath Azazel's neck, who held up his hand defensively.

"Alright, alright. Those eyes with murderous intent sure do remind me of your mother."

Azazel stated while laughing to himself despite the situation.

Outside, Kensei and Azazel were sitting down, in front of the garden, the former was drinking tea, while the latter was drinking sake. Neither said anything for a moment as the Governor-General enjoyed drinking the sake in his hands, as a satisfied sigh escaped from his mouth.

"Hah, this sake prepared by your group tastes awesome."

"That's what we call Sakura Sake. It's something one of our groups prepared for selling across Japan and even to those from the other factions too. Among the things we learned from the Greek Factions was preparing alcohol which is among the things Zeus and the others ask for most of the time."

"Yeah, those old guys are often most focused on drinking and partying above most things," Azazel stated, before looking forward and taking in the atmosphere around him. "You know, before knowing about your father, I was a little bit more interested in your mother."

"You have five seconds to rephrase that."

"Hahahaha, I'm just kidding. Truth be told, I was interested in your clan as a whole, more than those among the Five Principal Clan. A long time ago, during the Edo Period, after looking into the sacred gear users that'd come in that era. There, I'd got to witness something breathtaking, not something that I would've expected to see from someone without a sacred gear."

"…."

Kensei was interested in knowing what that was.

"I got the chance to see your ancestor fighting against one of the previous Sekiryuutei from that era."

"Oh? Hmm, I'd guess that'd be one reason for his reaction."

Kensei thought back to the time that he sensed a faint reaction from the Boosted Gear, which meant that Ddraig reacted to his presence.

"Yeah, the Sekiryuutei born in that era was a particularly arrogant one and caused trouble for different clans who tried maintaining the peace. Interested, I traveled here, to witness your ancestor fighting against the Sekiryuutei. I thought that most Longinus users could be dealt with by another Longinus user. But, in that era, there wasn't one edge that Sekiryuutei had over your ancestor aside from raw power," Kensei could hear that Azazel sounded as if it happened not that long ago, smiling. "If Rating Game terms were used back then, then Itsuki Amagiri would be an ultimate technique-type."

Kensei didn't utter a single word and instead listened more to Azazel, who'd continued to reminiscence about his first experience with his ancestor. He hadn't even heard about this confrontation, as there wasn't much about the battles the Amagiri Clan forefather's fought.

"I truly thought this town was doomed as that Sekiryuutei activated his Juggernaut Drive, but it seemed as if that was unneeded. I could tell that he was hesitant about doing it, but in the end, Itsuki beheaded him, knowing that there wasn't any hope for him to return to normal," Azazel said, letting a sigh escape from his mouth, then took a sip from the Sakura Sake. "Above being the future founder of the Amagiri Clan, he was only a man protecting his pregnant wife and home. From his prime and death, Itsuki was a swordsman of the highest and truest caliber. If he had ascended to godhood, then he would've been the third Sword God."

"Yeah, I heard stories about him all the time growing up from the previous clan head. But, there isn't much of an actual record that I could find among our clan's leftover manuals. Though, I guess that things like that would be in 'that' place, which is considered our greatest treasure. But, I can't go there," Kensei stated, drinking from the tea in his hand. "But, is that the reason you're so interested in my clan?"

"It's one of the reasons. Do you know much about your ancestor's children? He had four children, one of which is your closest ancestor aside from him. And all four of them ended up being born with a Longinus."

"Eh?"

Kensei became more confused about that reveal, it wasn't unusual as multiple members were all born with sacred gears. He heard a previous clan head was born with the High-Tier Longinus, Dimension Lost, it made him wonder what more was hidden about the clan.

"Yeah. It's rare, but sometimes siblings are born with Longinus, though that was a first. Grigori makes it a habit to monitor Sacred Gears, the Longinus, in particular, most of them would end up being too dangerous for the user to wield. But, we noticed aside from the rare or strong Sacred Gears, from time to time, in certain generations, a Longinus user is born into your clan. At most, we didn't need to worry about the wielder losing control, because those members were strong. But, it got me thinking about something."

"About?"

"It's almost as if it was the fate of the Amagiri Clan to birth someone who could even kill a god," Azazel replied thoughtfully, showing no hint of joking behind his tone, then again drank from the Sakura Sake again. "It's a shame, I was looking forward to witnessing the Amagiri Clan's golden generation, with you at the lead. You know that your mother once sent a video of your first fight just to brag. To be honest, I was more afraid of your mother than any Longinus user. She'd come and go into Grigori however she pleased."

Despite sounding afraid and dramatic, Kensei could hear that Azazel did hold his mother in high regard, which is something that caused him to smile. There, the two of them continued with the causal conversation without a care in the world.

Elsewhere, sitting at the Ramen Shop's bench, Lingqi and Vali sat there eating their second portion served to the two. A middle-aged man assisted by his employees looked on with personal pride in nothing the young man and woman sitting there eating this much.

"Hmm, this isn't bad."

Vali uttered, giving a surprising smile as he finished the ramen.

"Yes, I agree. Kensei took me here the day after I started living here."

Lingqi replied, finishing her third bowl.

"Is that so? I heard mention about his father, with him being strong enough to fight against Tobio. Humph, it kinda makes me regret not being there to fight him for myself."

Vali stated, finishing his bowl.

"I guess that's the reason that you passed on the request for dealing with Kokabiel yourself," Lingqi pointed out, a faint reaction could be seen on Vali's face. "I don't doubt that Azazel has his reasons for letting Kensei handle it, but I can see your reason is that you want to see how strong he is."

"Heh, I'm surprised to see you being so protective of someone you've met. Do you like him that much?"

"…!"

Lingqi's face turned red from the accusation, then sent a quick shoulder nudged at him, but the strength behind it would've knocked most humans a great distance. But, it simply caused Vali to be knocked back a bit with just the slightest discomforting look.

"Hahahaha," Vali sounded amused as her face started returning to normal. "I didn't think I'd see that reaction. Are you that worried about him fighting against me."

"S-Shut up. I'm not afraid of him. I know more than anyone that Kensei won't disappoint you in a fight, he fought against the Strongest Longinus."

"Hm, well, then I'm sure that it'll be worth it."

Vali said before he ordered the fourth bowl.

Lingqi sighed at his response, then started doing the same thing as the owner looked happy to have found some teens loved his ramen.

Later that night, Kensei found himself bathing alone in the larger bath downstairs without a care in the world; he'd come to an understanding with Lingqi about when to and when not to use it, so neither would run into each other. He felt the warm water washing over his head, wetting up his hair before starting to shampoo it to get rid of all the dirt that'd gotten into it.

"Hah, well, it looks as if I'm going to be fighting against a Cadre this time. It makes me wonder how I'm going to approach this situation. Azazel mentioned that two exorcists were sent from the Church and Rias' group wouldn't be able to handle him. Though I don't know much about them, I doubt the Church would send an inexperienced bunch on a suicide mission against a Cadre."

Kensei said as he hadn't had the best experience in dealing with the members of the Church.

Turning on the water, he removed the soap that he'd used to wash his hair, not knowing that there was someone who entered the bath too. The unknown person started approaching Kensei as quietly as possible without letting him notice their presence. A second later, he did end up noticing someone's presence but didn't seem to dwell much on it.

"Oh, Kunou is that so? I remember you saying that you wanted to share a bath with me today alone," Kensei had replied. "After you're done washing up, do you mind washing my back?"

"Ara, it seems as if my daughter's and Kensei-kun's relationship has developed to such an intimate degree."

"…?!"

Kensei flinched as he recognized this woman's voice and turned around on reflex.

Doing that, he noticed Yasaka was adorned in a towel, but it simply outlined her voluptuous and mature body, as well as her massive breasts. Staring at the woman who had the impeccable, irresistible charms of a mature woman, more so with her beautiful fox ears and nine tails. Around her neck was also the necklace that he purchased for her a long time ago.

"Ara, being stared at by such a charming young man like that makes me feel a little self-conscious."

Yasaka said, placing a hand on the side of her cheek, smiling beautifully.

"Hah, hahaha, I don't think that Yasaka-san as much to feel self-conscious about. I mean, you're a charming and beautiful woman, so much so that any other woman should feel self-conscious."

"…!"

Yasaka, in response to that compliment, felt her heartbeat increase as her cheeks turned a bright red. She hadn't even received such an honest and thoughtful compliment from someone before in her life. She hadn't heard such bold words from her previous husband either.

"Ara, it looks as if experiencing two women sure has made Kensei-kun more confident."

Yasaka said as Kensei looked flustered himself.

"Ha, I'm guessing that either Claire or Alice told you."

"Ufufufu. Of course, discussions between women are a sacred thing," Yasaka said, laughing gracefully as she glanced at his upper body, which simply showed the diligent and rigorous conditioning he'd subjected himself to. "Since you wanted her back washed, then this Queen would do it instead of her daughter."

"S-Sure."

Kensei replied, turning himself back around as he waited for Yasaka to finish preparing herself, while he tried controlling himself. He started feeling the excitement building up within him like a damn from witnessing Yasaka in such a state of dress. Such a thing started feeling more impossible for Kensei as he felt himself starting to turn more erect from the thought of the mature woman.

He felt Yasaka's presence behind him, but instead of pouring liquid soap onto a towel, she instead removed her towel and poured a decent amount onto her breasts. Kensei soon realized her actions as she pressed her large breasts against his chest, feeling the abundant softness and liquid soap on his back, and he reacted.

"Don't move~"

Yasaka said, wrapping her arms around Kensei's chest, keeping him from moving around.

Hearing Yasaka's seductive tone, and the anticipation building up inside him, he simply remained in there without fighting back. Sitting there, he felt the unrestricted sensation of the mature woman's breasts on his back, feeling an undeniable softness as she washed him using her soft mounds. From the feeling of Yasaka's abundant chest and the moans he was hearing this close, Kensei was completely turned on.

"Hah, you sure have a strong back and chest, Kensei-kun," Yasaka stated, as she continued to feel up Kensei's chest using her hands, feeling his chest and abs. "I doubt there are many humans who can train their body in this way. Based on the reactions from Claire-chan and Alice-chan after talking about their time with Kensei-kun it got me thinking about what it would be like to be with such a young man."

"She's doing this on purpose. She's doing this on purpose," Kensei uttered in his mind, feeling his desires all but reaching the maximum limit. "I can't deny the fact that I have come to love Yasaka-san as a woman, she's more than a good Queen and mother. I should say that I started thinking the same about Brynhildr-san too. Almost all the instincts within me are demanding that I push her down."

"Or Kensei-kun wouldn't be alright with an older woman. You're around beautiful younger girls, who are all in the process of becoming women. Me, on the other hand, I've already had a daughter and might not suit your…."

"I already said that Yasaka-san is a wonderful woman, who most other women could only look up to. You raised Kunou while acting as a Queen at the same not, neglecting neither," Kensei spoke in such a stone and attention-catching tone that Yasaka could do nothing, but listen. "If there's any man in this world who can't understand that then…umph."

Kensei stopped talking as Yasaka pressed her lips against his in a light manner, but the connection between them and the message was clear enough. It lasted a second, as the two moved back from one another, thinking about their sudden kiss. After kissing Kensei, Yasaka placed a hand on her lips, showing a little bit of redness in her cheeks.

"Ara, that was the first time that I've kissed another man in a long time."

"Well, it's not going to be the last time that we kiss," Kensei stated, turning around so that he could face Yasaka, then moved forward right and held onto her upper arms, surprising the Queen. "And I have to punish this Queen for her taunts and seduction."

"Ara, Kensei-kun is quite…mph."

This time, Yasaka was stopped before she could finish, then found her at the receiving end of the dominating kiss from Kensei. It differed from the previous kiss and lasted longer, with their lips meshing against one another, then progressed to the point of their tongues beginning to wrestle.

"Nnn~"

Yasaka moaned as she and Kensei's tongues wrestled against one another.

Removing his hand from Yasaka's arms, he wrapped her arms around her in a strong, comforting manner, while it made her feel secure. More than the sign of affection that she was being shown right then, the feeling of Kensei wrapping his arms around her. It was as if he wouldn't let her go, which sent a shiver throughout her body.

"Hah, to be held in such a strong and loving manner. I never thought that I'd feel this…."

Yasaka thought in her head, feeling Kensei's hardened member pressing up against her front and rubbing against her towel-covered body.

""Pwah….""

Kensei and Yasaka separated, a trail of saliva linked their tongues before the two disconnected from each other.

"That was quite intense. I never thought that Kensei-kun would be so rough on a woman who hasn't even kissed another man in such a long time," Yasaka said, leaning forward as her breasts pressed up against his chest, then her hand reached the hardened dick brushing up against her. "Since I did end up causing Kensei-kun to become like this, I should take care of it."

"Ngh."

Kensei felt Yasaka rubbing him through his towel, then started extending her hand underneath it.

"I'm sorry for being late, Ken-chan. I was in the middle of…," Kunou entered the bath wearing a towel, pausing as she looked in. She looked forward to finding that her mother was in a compromising, intimate position together with her fiancè, while her hand was touching 'that' part of him. "…."

""….""

There was total silence in the large bath, but Kunou looked to be shaking in place as if she was in the process of exploding any second.

"H-Hahaue," as Kunou seemed to be shouting something at her mother, it turned out to be almost what they'd expected. "How come you're doing those kinds of things with Kunou's fiance?! Are you attempting to get ahead of Kunou?!"

"Ufufufu, I think that Kensei-kun would be more into a mature and experienced woman."

Yasaka said, wrapping her arms around Kensei, sparking an immediate reaction from Kunou.

"I-I think that Ken-chan would appreciate someone much…."

"Finish that sentence and you'll be fed fish for a week."

Yasaka said this time as a dark aura could be seen around her, surprising Kensei and Kunou, but her daughter was a bit more frightened.

"E-Even then, Ken-chan is Kunou's fiance. So, Kunou should be the one who satisfies her Ken-chan. Kunou also planned on her and Ken-chan to…you know."

"Oh, is that so?"

"Huh, it's been a long time since I saw two women close to me arguing with one another. After everyone agreed with one another, there hasn't been much arguing between them."

Kensei thought, recalling the last time he witnessed such a thing.

"Then, let's see which one of us can satisfy, Kensei-kun. Ufufufu, I heard such bold words from my daughter from what she'd done with her fiancè."

Yasaka declared, tearing her towel away to reveal the beautiful and voluptuous body underneath it, attracting Kensei's attention as he gained an unobstructed view of the mature woman. Not turning down the challenge from the Queen, the Princess removed her towel, revealing her still developing body.

"Kunou won't turn down a challenge over Ken-chan, even if it's from Hahaue!"

"Ufufufu, Kensei-chan is quite lucky to have the nine-tailed Queen and Princess wanting to show their affection to him. Now, let's see if this mature mother can teach her daughter something."

"I-I'll prove I'm prepared for Ken-chan's love."

Kensei looked to find Yasaka and Kunou standing before him in their birthday suits, approaching him with love in their eyes no weaker or stronger than the other. And in that bath that night, Kensei found himself beyond lucky to have had an experience with a mother and daughter.

A few days later, having been informed about Kokabiel, their group made potential preparations for anything that might happen. Taking on Azazel's request, Kensei had left to examine the situation himself, but he was not alone there. In Kuoh Town, he'd found himself sitting down on the roof looking on as the current Sekiryuutei, Issei, Koneko, and Sona's Pawn, Saji seemed to converse.

{Aaaaa. And? What was the reason for calling me?}

He strengthened his hearing using ki, letting him listen in on their conversation despite the distance.

"Hah, why are we so far from them? I don't have heightened hearing like you two."

Sitting down beside him meditating were Naoto and Akari, while Claire remained sitting beside Kensei, listening in because of her enhanced hearing.

"Rias' Rook, she has a heightened sense of smell and hearing. Kensei and Naoto have a particular scent that those among her particular species can pick out of among humans," Claire replied as Kensei continued watching things as they played out. "I know this is boring for you, Akari-chan. But, think of this as training for you and Naoto to be able to master masking your presence."

"Hmm, fine. Claire-san, but we're going to be fighting this time right? I haven't seen much action lately, because I had to be with my family. Not that I don't love them, but it's hard balancing this and my normal life."

"I understand that. It might be easier to tell them about this. But, it might make it hard at the same time," Claire in a reassuring tone looked at Akari smiling. "I've met them before. And I'm sure no matter what you're parents will still love you."

"I-I'm not worried about that. But, I doubt parents who want their daughter to wear dresses and not mess around with swords would be fine with fighting supernatural beings."

Akari said, somewhat flustered, but looked to notice Naoto snickering a bit, and stopped as she stared at him.

"Aniki, I'm wondering if it would be better if you'd defeated Kokabiel before things reaches the point where they'd have to handle him."

"Hmm, I thought about it. I decided to intervene when I had no choice, but to intervene," Kensei replied to his little brother's question while continuing to listen. "As cold as it might sound, there isn't always going to be someone to come and save them from every single situation they might encounter. If that happened, then their group might end up reliant on someone for their protection. All of us, at some point, are going to be faced with a situation that we'll need to break through for ourselves. Besides, it looks as if this entire incident has a particular connection to Rias' Knight to begin with."

Kensei and Claire were aware that Issei and Kiba fought against the two exorcists, who owns two of the Excalibur still under the Church's control. It looked as if Kiba was involved somehow with Excalibur in the past, developing a deep-seated hatred for it. As he was talking about that, he stood up, after noticing the three servants came to a sudden agreement.

"Alright, it's time to follow them."

"Alright! Finally, I get to do something!"

Akari stated, leaping up to her feet, feeling more energetic as time passed.

"Try not to get caught, leaping from building to building."

Kensei stated as he and Claire leaped from the building the four were standing on towards another one, because of the speed the two moved, no one could catch a glimpse of them.

"Ugh, those two are too good. Alright, let's go Naoto!"

"Right."

Agreeing that the two needed to head out too, Akari and Naoto started following behind Kensei and Claire with a magnificent leap. Like them, the two could move at a speed that normal humans couldn't follow, because of their conditioning training with Kensei.

From there, the group of four continued following the wayward servants, who approached the two exorcists, one of which Issei was familiar with. Getting into a family restaurant, the group had lunch, while talking about the Holy Sword Incident, which Kensei and Claire found out. It causes them to realize the reason that Rias' knight had that deep-seated hatred for Excalibur. Not much time passed as after Kiba's arrival, the entire group came to an understanding about what they were going to do about Kokabiel.

After that, Kensei thought that it would be best if he had Naoto follow the two exorcists, Irina and Xenovia; while he and Claire followed Issei, Kiba, Koneko, and Saji. He was sure to tell them, most notably, Akari not to do any dangerous actions or get noticed by them. Both soon spent the next few days following the two individual groups as they used themselves as bait for their enemies.

On one such day, Kensei and Claire continued following them through rooftops at a distance where neither would notice them. All of them were dressed as priests and a nun wearing fake crucifixes, walking around after leaving school.

"Hmm, I'm surprised that Kokabiel hasn't acted yet."

"Well, he's patient, that's for sure. I don't know the circumstances, but it looks as if he was forced into waiting for his chance to start another war since the last one. First, he stole the fragments of Excalibur from the Church and then came to the town of two Maou. A fallen angel committing such an act, a Cadre no less would cause big waves across the Three Factions' current balance. If war doesn't happen, the three leaders would need to talk with one another."

"That's true. All three sides have been silent and unresponsive to one another for too long. If an incident such as this happens again, then normal humans are going to suffer again," Claire said, looking down before thinking of another issue. "I'm still surprised that punk teen from all that time ago is involved in this too."

"Hmm, yeah, I thought that Freed was too unhinged to remain an exorcist for long."

Both Claire and Kensei realized from their conversation, that Freed, the teenage exorcist the two met in Kyoto a long time ago was involved in this incident too. It sounded as if he was capable of wielding Excalibur Rapidly, the same one that he and Maria used a long time ago.

"But, he wasn't a natural-born holy sword user. It looks as if the person, Balba, I think, learned how to turn people into holy sword wielders through artificial means," Claire said as she noticed the group down below stopped. "I'd doubt Kokabiel's sanity if he and Balba believe that gathering the Excalibur fragments would be enough to grant them an edge. It's simply one broken holy sword against Heaven and the Underworld."

"I'm sure we know from personal experience that arrogance makes you blind," Kensei stated, noticing that there was another presence. "Well, it looks as if Freed has arrived on the scene."

Claire nodded as she noticed the psychopathic former exorcist wielding Excalibur Rapidly arrived on the scene with a maniacal laugh.

At the arrival of Freed, the four down below got into fighting stances, with the three men activating their sacred gears. Saji, himself had a dragon-type sacred gear, Absorption Line, which manifested a black lizard head on his wrist. It turned into a four-on-one battle, with Kiba rushing in first with great emotions as he manifested demon swords. He and Freed clashed against one another, their speed almost being equal, but it was their sword's quality was the deciding factor.

From personal experience, Kensei was aware that Excalibur Rapidly, not only increased the wielder's speed but also the sword's speed as well, granting them an edge. Not that Freed was that much stronger as a swordsman in comparison to Kiba, but the Knight's emotional state was dragging him down.

"He's not accepting help from his friends despite the situation. If he was in a normal mental state, then he would be able to handle Freed, but like this…."

Kensei surmised as he witnessed the battle, which Claire agreed to.

"Not that I don't understand him. The most hated thing from his past came back to haunt him, while in the hands of someone such as Freed."

Claire added.

"Well, then it's good that he has some good friends."

It was then that Issei, who charged up Boosted Gear for some time, was thrown over by Koneko, causing him to reach Kiba. After transferring the build-up power into him, a much stronger aura was wrapped around the Knight, granting him more of an edge in combat. Though, their sword quality differed, Kiba could continue because of his versatility. But, neither of them was able to gain the upper hand against one another, wielding Excalibur Rapidly still made the fight more or less equal.

It was then that, Saji shot out a line from Absorption Line toward Freed, wrapping itself around his leg, which kept him in place. Despite not liking the assist from them, Kiba accepted and rushed for the downed former exorcist directly, filled with killing intent. But, all sides stopped moving as someone else arrived on the scene with the two swordsmen.

It was Balba Galilei, who'd released the kind of presence and intent that Kensei and Claire hated the most in one person. Just as he arrived, so did, Irina and Xenovia, as well as Naoto and Akari, who'd landed on another roof, giving them a signal. It didn't last as Freed escaped with Balba beside him, then the two exorcists, in addition to Kiba chased after them.

"What do we do now, Aniki?"

"You and Akari will follow the group that's leaving," Kensei said, pointing down at Issei, Koneko, and Saji, who'd just been caught by their respective Kings and Queens. "I can feel them following Freed and Balba, who're going to the same location where Kokabiel is. Also, remain at a far enough distance to notice if something happens, I don't want you to be involved in whatever the Sekiryuutei and Rias do at his house."

"A-Alright."

Naoto looked flustered as he realized what Kensei meant about that because he'd heard all about the perverted technique that he use. Receiving that mission, he and Akari started following that group, while Kensei and Claire followed the others chasing Freed and Balba.

There, Kensei and Claire could sense a battle was occurring at an old building, which was acting as the enemy's base. Irina was fighting, with Xenovia and Kiba heading out in the same direction. Her opponent wasn't Freed, it was instead Kokabiel, who continued dominating the entire fight from the start.

"Kensei, she's…."

"Yeah, we're going."

Sensing Irina's condition, the two rushed forward toward the abandoned building, being able to sense that she was in a terrible situation. Went into the building, going straight to the exact room where Irina and Kokabiel were fighting. Kensei could sense that Irina was injured, to the point of passing out, then reached the room, which was opened up, where the Cadre, Freed, and Balba were.

"I'll go and get her, while you head around back to wait for us."

"Alright."

Claire agreed, immediately heading over to the old building's back.

Once Claire left, Kensei started preparing himself to rush inside the room and save Irina at the same time without his presence being revealed. Spreading ki throughout his entire body in preparation for this, then a second later, he rushed inside the room at high-speed, using Shinsoku. At around the same moment, he could see Kokabiel, Freed, who retrieved Excalibur Mimic, and a laughing Balba.

Reaching Irina, he noticed that Kokabiel noticed his presence, gathering light in his hands. In response to this, he gathered three dragon head-shaped bullets in his hand, firing them at the three.

"Ugh!"

"Argh!"

"Urgh!"

Kokabiel was hit at his wrist, Freed in the forehead, and Balba in the stomach.

With them distracted, Kensei picked up Irina, then left the room after releasing multiple bullets around the room, causing it to fall apart.

"What the fuck was that?!"

Freed called out, not seeing who was inside the room.

"Tch, that was one fast bastard! I barely caught a glimpse, but I doubt that there's anyone here who can pull off much such as that! I thought about using that exorcist woman as a declaration of war to Rias Gremory but forget it. I'll still get my message through here," Kokabiel said, still feeling the stinging sensation at his wrist. "Dammit, I can't even sense who was here!"

Kokabiel was fuming as he released a dense aura that stunned Freed and Balba started gaining goosebumps as it touched their skin.

Behind the old building, Claire was waiting to craft a barrier around herself to keep her presence hidden. But, not much time passed as Kensei passed through it, carrying an unconscious Irina on his shoulder.

"She's injured badly, but it's not life-threatening."

"Put her here."

Claire said, sitting in a position where Irina could lay down on her lap.

Noticing that her black, skin-tight exorcist uniform was torn in places where her skin could be revealed, Kensei in a respectful manner covered her using his uniform's jacket. After that, he placed a hand on her forehead, then he started healing her using Senjutsu. It wasn't long until her labored breathing started returning to normal, with her wounds beginning to close.

"I'm not going to wake her up. It might be best if she slept this one off," Kensei said. "Her Excalibur, which is can assume is Mimic got taken, meaning she won't be able to fight later."

"Yeah. But, we can't leave her out here."

Claire worriedly said, wiping off the blood that collected at the corner of Irina's mouth.

"I sensed her and her partner took refuge at an old church."

At the mention of that, Claire immediately knew the location that Kensei was referring to, which was the Church her father worked.

"I know where that is," Claire stated, then standing up, but placing Irina on her back. "I'll take her there, while you head out to where Kokabiel is heading."

"Alright," in a single moment, Kensei leaped up, then started scaling the wall until he reached the roof, where he noticed Kokabiel and the others all but heading to fulfill their own selfish, encompassing goals. "It looks like this is going to be one memorable night."

Kensei started heading in the direction of, while still not being detected by the others involved. As Kensei was in the middle of doing that, Claire manifested a pair of armored angelic wings through White Nemesis. She thought it'd be much faster than using her devil wings.

"Ngh, where am…I?"

Claire could hear that Irina was in the process of waking up, but she still felt a good amount of discomfort.

"You'll be fine. So, take a nap."

Claire said in a comforting tone, not wanting to sound rude or mean.

"…alright…. …angel…chan."

"I'm not an angel."

[You are the host of one, technically making you one.]

Radueriel said, in a somewhat teasing tone.

"I think you're taking on someone's weird teasing quirks, Radueriel."

Claire replied, finding some amusement in hearing such words from an angel.

Kensei found himself standing on the roof of the Kuoh Academy's new School Building, while things started progressing as Azazel thought. Hearing the report from Naoto and Akari, he realized that the Cadre's words supported them too.

"Hah, I swear this guy is a moron to think that he can survive this war against the Three Factions. He'd be lucky to survive a one-on-one against Serafall, let alone Super Devil."

"Right, I could sense nothing but evil intent from him. He's truly a man without any good within him."

Naoto said, showing a more distasteful look at Kokabiel's actions. It was something that even Naoto couldn't be silent about, which Akari agreed with too.

"Yeah, it makes me want to fight that jerk! But, I'm not strong enough to be a challenge for him," Akari had stated, crossing her arms, but then looked down. "Though, I would like to fight those Cerberus, at least. I think that it'd be a good test to see how my flames measure up against theirs."

She pointed downward, where Gremory Team was fighting against the Cerberus that their group was fighting, as after transferring power to Rias and Akeno, Kiba and Xenovia joined in to assist them. It has been breathing out flames from its three mouths, releasing an intense heat different from others. But, because of the assistance of the entire group, allowed them to handle the two three-headed hellhounds.

"I'm sure that you'll have your chance to fight against one."

Kensei pointed out as things seemed to progress with Balba standing in the middle of a magic circle.

He had, however, sensed that there was something more irregular about the magic circle, as it seemed to spread across the school ground. But, hovering above the magic circle, or, at least, what hovered above it were all four Excaliburs. Now, all of them were combined into a single blade, releasing a massive amount of light that spread across the school ground.

"Aniki, that guy did fuse those four swords into one?"

"How strong would that be compared to the original?"

Naoto and Akari could sense the aura radiating from the single blade, but Kensei didn't seem that impressed.

"It's impressive that Balba guy could merge them into one, but it's still an incomplete product. It's missing all the other three Excalibur. He's still deranged to think that one blade, even mass-produced is going to grant them an edge in another Great War. But, I guess that speaks to his malicious past and mindset."

Kensei stated, not feeling threatened.

"I came at the right time. I'm feeling an ominous power from that magic circle," Claire said, as she landed right in the middle of the group. "It's a magic circle meant to destroy Kuoh Town, isn't it?"

"Yeah, it seems as if there's a twenty-minute time limit. But, I doubt that it's going to take more than a couple of minutes. But, you might want to focus on analyzing the magic circle so that you can negate it."

"I planned on doing that. But, is there a particular reason that they'll be able to defeat Freed in that short period?"

"Hmm, well, it seems as if Rias' Knight is going to have one big moment. Naoto, Akari, you two might want to pay attention to this."

Kensei replied, catching their attention as the group continued hearing the disgusting voice of Balba as he'd kept on putting out his personal beliefs about the holy swords. It reached the point where the researcher tossed out a multi-colored orb as if it was trash to Kiba, who picked it up as if it was a treasure for him.

He could sense the various auras contained inside that orb, originating from the comrades and old friends who were victims of the Holy Sword Project. A moment later, the spirits contained within them started being released from it as boys and girls, younger and older started manifesting around Kiba. Kensei could tell that the combination of all the powers on the battlefield brought them out.

"…."

"…."

As instructed, neither Naoto nor Akari took their eyes off the battlefield as the two heard a beautiful song escape from the spirits' mouths. It was as if the emotions contained within the songs started resonating with them, which caused feelings of sadness to well up within those watching.

"This is quite the beautiful song. I'm kinda sad that Minako isn't here to hear it."

"Yeah, I'm sure she'd be impressed."

Claire and Kensei agreed with one another, as the spirits around Kiba soon transformed into light after releasing a much brighter light. It soon turned into one big pillar of light that seemed to penetrate the Heavens themselves, before crashing down onto Kiba.

"Kensei, this is…."

"Yeah, it's the same feeling that Maria released when she reached that breaking point," Kensei said, wearing an impressed smirk on his face. "A phenomena, caused by the wielder undergoing a sudden chance that's able to influence the world itself. Balance Breaker."

Holding onto his newfound resolve, Kiba raised his hand toward the sky, as a mixture of holy and demonic power started gathering around him. Kensei could feel the two conflicting forces starting gathering around one another, but instead of clashing against one another, the two merged, giving rise to something much stronger. It manifested a single sword containing both powers.

"This is my Balance-Breaker, Sword of Betrayal," Kiba declared holding the newly formed Holy-Demonic Sword in his hands. "You shall receive the power of this sword that has both the power of light and demonic powers with your own body."

At that declaration, Kiba rushed forward with great speed, the person, he was aiming this newfound sword at was Freed wielding the Incomplete Excalibur. Naoto continued looking on with a good amount of admiration, while the Knights fought against Freed. Kensei looked on, impressed himself as Kiba returned to his original calm fighting style, clashing against the former Exorcist with a greater edge.

"Now, this is the Knight that I wanted to see."

"I can't believe he managed to combine light and demon powers," Claire stated while continuing to look forward. "I can use them together, but not to that level."

"Well, we'll see what happens once you reach Balance Breaker. Who knows what'll end up becoming for you? I do look forward to having a sparring match against him in the future, but it looks as if there's something else who I'll be having a good fight with too."

Once Kensei said that, as Kiba was handling Freed, who despite using the Incomplete Excalibur's abilities, there was no chance for him to gain the advantage against the revived Knight. The blue-haired Exorcist, Xenovia held a hand out as space distorted, causing an enormous holy aura to be released from it. She pulled out a large blue, golden single-edged blade housing an incredible power within it.

"Oh, I'm guessing that's Durandal. So, the Church did have a trump card for handling this situation. I can sense that she's a genuine natural-born holy sword wielder, compatible with it much like its previous wielder."

"It does resemble the information about holy swords that Maria had, but she mentioned that the previous wielder, Vasco Strada was the sole person to master it. I think that the Church is putting all its cards into resolving this. But, if not for the fact she'd teamed up with Rias and her group, then she and her partner would've been fighting here alone."

Claire's utterance caused them to realize that she was right about the Church putting too much on the shoulders of two younger girls Kensei's age. But, together Kiba and Xenovia were able to handle fighting against Freed, thus destroying the incomplete Excalibur. As Kiba turned to deal with Balba, the former priest found something out but was quickly dealt with by Kokabiel.

"He killed his comrade."

"Tsk, this Cadre does suck."

Naoto and Akari seemed to be on the same level of distaste for Kokabiel.

"I see that Holy-Demonic Sword of his is as strong, if not stronger than that incomplete Excalibur. But, I can feel dissonance between both the light and demonic powers. I can't wait to see what growth he grows through."

"Yeah, but it looks as if Balba realized something after Kiba's sword was combined. I guess what it's about considering."

Kensei seemed to realize based on the last words from Balba, "…I see! I understand now! Holy and demonic. It will be an explanation if the beings that represent the two become unbalanced! Then not only the Maou, but the God has also…." It also goes with the reason that Kiba could combine both forces.

"Well, this is going to be a big pain for the Three Faction if this gets out."

Kensei pointed out, as the four witnessed Kokabiel beginning to move too, then granted them a chance for Issei to build up his power using Boosted Gear. It was an arrogant move from the fallen angel, but their group despite the appearance of Kiba's Balance Breaker and Xenovia's Durandal didn't have a chance against him. So, taking this chance, Rias allowed Issei to build up power so that it could be transferred to her.

Several minutes passed, with Issei realized his Boosted Gear reached the limit of how much power it can build up. Once that power was transferred to Rias, an enormous crimson aura covered her entire body, causing those around her to gain goosebumps from the sheer pressure.

"Wow, that's some power!"

Akari called out, feeling the pressure on her skin too.

"Well, Rias seemed to have talent no different from Sirzechs, her demonic powers reached Ultimate-Class Devils while at the tipping point of a Maou."

Kensei said, impressed while continuing to look forward.

Rias, with the power she'd gained from Issei, released a massive blast of Power of Destruction towards Kokabiel, who continued laughing. Instead of avoiding it, he took the attack head-on, holding it back using his bare hands, covered in light power. All the destructive energy before him started shredding apart his clothing, with the light he was emitting being pressured from the energy too.

"Interesting! Interesting indeed, Maou's sister!"

Kokabiel declared, laughing as he continued holding back Rias' attack, who struggled to push her attack forward. All her efforts allowed her to damage his hand, while he seemed to be reaching his limit in holding it back, but so did Rias reach hers from keeping it stable. Assisting her King, Akeno held up her hand, then started releasing an abundant amount of lightning at Kokabiel.

"Will you stand in my way!? The one who inherited her power from Baraqiel!?"

Kokabiel called out, but Akeno didn't seem to react kindly to hearing that name.

"…Do not put me in the same group as him!"

Akeno called out, with Kensei all but hearing her fallen angel lineage and being Baraqiel's daughter from Suzaku, who informed him a long time ago. At the reveal of Akeno's heritage, the people there started charging, attacking the Cadre using their numbers. But, knowing their group used up their options, Kensei stood up, then walked to the new school building's ledge.

"Alright, time to get involved."

Kensei stated before moving forward, leaping using Shinsoku. He was also followed by Claire, Naoto, and Akari, who wanted to see this one through to the end.

"There!"

Just as Koneko leaped forward, aiming a straight punch aimed at Kokabiel's blind spot, the Cadre already felt her intentions and tried attacking her using his ten fallen angel wings. She prepared herself to endure this attack by using her Rook's defenses. But, just as she was preparing to be attacked, Koneko suddenly found herself looking straight at her friends.

"That was a close one. Can't have nothin' happen to the white-haired loli."

Koneko looked up to find herself in the arms of Kensei, who was sending her a genuine smirk.

"You," Koneko said, before noticing the unique scent around him, but then returned to her usual expression, and pushed his head in another direction. "…too close."

"Ouch, that hurts my feelings."

Kensei said before putting her back on the ground, as she glanced to the side, not looking at him.

"But, thanks for saving me."

Koneko thanked Kensei, there being redness dusting her cheeks.

"You, what're you doing here?!"

Issei and the others seemed surprised that Kensei was standing there acting all casual despite the situation, this caused a surprising look to appear on Kokabiel's face.

"Yo! Don't worry, I'm here to back you guys up!"

Kensei replied with reassurance, but the others despite being relieved to have some assistance, the people there didn't share the same enthusiasm. Rias stepped forward, not expecting to see Kensei standing right there in front of them, while Xenovia has no idea who he was.

"Did my brother send you?"

"No, I received a request from this dumbass Cadre's boss to take him down before he does something that can't be fixed," Kensei said pointing his thumb at Kokabiel, who seemed annoyed by the disrespect. "Aside from the fact that causing a Great War here would involve the Shinto Faction. I didn't have a reason to reject."

"Wait, how long have you been here?"

"Oh, you know. About a couple minutes, an hour," Kensei casually said before giving him a straight answer. "I've been here for a couple of days now. Around the same time that Issei and Kiba fought her and her partner. "

[What?!]

Rias and the others seemed surprised about that, while Claire, Naoto, and Akari appeared beside him.

"You've been here that long, and we didn't know."

Rias stated, surprised that he was in his town for that long

"To be perfectly fair. I can pretty much go wherever I want in Japan, and I would've been surprised if any of you could sense me here. But, after this, you might want to discuss putting up a barrier around town with your brother. Well, I could probably get passed that one too."

"Then why didn't you help us before?!"

"It might seem harsh, but you can't always expect someone to come out and help you on time. Besides, if I did, get involved, then your Knight wouldn't have gotten over his demons and achieved Balance Breaker. And it is more unique and irregular compared to Sword Birth's original Balance Breaker."

"I-I guess you're right. But, this just means that you'll help us fight against him, right?"

"You're half-right," Kensei said placing his hand on Kurogane's hilt. "I'm going to be the one fighting him."

"W-What?! Are you kidding me?! All of us together couldn't fight against him, and you…," Issei started, then he recalled Balba's word about Kuoh Town being destroyed. "Forget about that. That guy before mentioned that the magic circle was about to destroy Kuoh Town in a couple of minutes. So…."

"Don't concern yourself about that one. Claire's got that covered."

"Claire?"

Issei and the others looked on to find Claire standing in front of the magic circle as her hand extended towards it, but then the Sekiryuutei looked on impressed by her beauty.

"W-Whoa, she's…."

"I'd be careful. She's my fiancèe."

Kensei said in a threatening tone, causing Issei and the others a surprise.

"Eh, you're fiancèe?!"

Issei said surprised.

"She looks familiar."

Rias seemed to have known Claire from somewhere else, but it wasn't a personal meeting, instead, she reminded her of someone else.

"Oh, that's an interesting reaction. If that's your reason, then I don't think I should tell you."

"Tell me what?"

"I have four more."

Kensei teasingly replied, causing an intense jealous look to appear on Issei's face while seeming on the brink of tears.

"Ugh, you lucky bastard!"

"Hahaha, yeah I am."

Kensei intended to lighten the mood around them because of the tense situation, which seemed to succeed as those from Rias' group started laughing at Issei's reaction. A moment later, Kensei felt killing intent directed at someone aside from himself, he then turned to find Kokabiel creating a light spear. His target was Claire, causing his expression to become sharper.

"Tsk, to think that some lowly half-devil decided to attempt to stop my plans! You can be the first one to die!"

Kokabiel released the light spear straight at Claire, but the girl showed no intention of moving an inch, let alone acknowledging the danger.

"W-Wait…ah."

Rias and the others seemed prepared to intercept, but it was unneeded as Kensei appeared right in front of her without showing the slightest movement. In an instant, the light spear was broken apart as he released Kurogane from its sheath.

"You're just some above-average human from some trivial! What right do you have to interfere with me?!"

Kokabiel started unleashing a barrage of light spears at Kensei, who didn't seem deterred while continuing to cut down each of the light spears. Standing on the sidelines, Rias and the others weren't able to take their eyes off of the spectacle. Claire didn't move an inch, she instead continued focusing on examining the magic circle, holding absolute faith in Kensei's abilities.

"She isn't even worried about being hit."

Akeno stated, feeling admiration for a young girl who was not that much younger than her.

"I knew that he was a good swordsman, but there isn't one disruption in his rhythm. I can tell Kokabiel is trying to hit him by firing them off in different directions, but he isn't letting so much as a fragment touch her."

Kiba spoke in admiration for Kensei's swordplay, which seemed leagues above his own.

"Alright, done," Claire said as she figured out the magic circle, then placed her hand out. "And now it's done."

In an instant, the magic circle meant to erase Kuoh Town was instead negated, almost as if it wasn't there in the first place. Noticing such a thing caused Rias' eyes to turn straight towards Claire in shock.

"T-That's Worthless, the innate ability of the Belial Clan. She's a member of that clan."

Rias couldn't hide her shock as Akeno and Kiba also looked stunned from what they'd witnessed. Such a terrible future was right there in front of them, but now it was removed right then and there.

"The Belial Clan? Didn't we learn about that one before?"

Issei asked.

"Yes, it's the household that produced the current Rating Game Champion, Diehauser Belial."

Kiba replied, much to Issei's surprise.

"Alright, now that's done," Claire stated, then retrieved her Oracle Phone. "We're prepared to do it now."

At that signal, outside where Sona and her peerage had formed a barrier around Kuoh Town, teleportation magic circles appeared around its border. From them came the magicians from the Kibou Alliance, with Zane and Lena, who held their hands out. Rias and the others witnessed the barrier around the entire school becoming stronger than it was before.

"Kensei, the barrier is strengthened, and the magic circle was removed," Claire announced, then she started stepping backward with Naoto and Akari. "So, let it rip!"

"Alright, let the party start."

Kensei smirked, releasing an undeniable fighting spirit, which caused the group behind him not used to it to gain goosebumps.

"Tch, damn Azazel bringing that bitch's spawn here," Kokabiel spat out, causing Kensei to release that he talked about his mother. "I don't know his obsession with that clan, they were nothing more than a collection of humans that died out, leaving one bastard behind! But, if you want to fight against me, the Cadre, Kokabiel then show me their so-called strongest martial art."

"Sure thing. You know, I'm curious about where I stand against Vasco Strada during World War II, but before that, I'm curious about something," Kensei started smirking straight at the Cadre. "How's your wrist?"

"…," at the mention of that, Kokabiel leaked genuine killing intent, as he realized the meaning behind that single question. That time at his former base, when someone sneaked in, then attacked him, Freed, and Babel, striking his wrist. "That was you?!"

Not waiting for an answer, Kokabiel released a bright light from his body, causing Claire to create a barrier meant to defend the others, as well as Naoto and Akari. Enraged, Kokabiel manifested a light sword that released a had released an unsettling amount of light. He rushed straight at Kensei swinging the sword downwards with one big swing, which Kensei met with Kurogane.

A shockwave was released from the collision as the two started getting into a head-on confrontation with one another. Despite Kokabiel appearing to be fuming about it, Kensei looked as casual as usual, while wielding his beloved black blade.

"You said his name was Kensei, right?"

Xenovia asked, standing beside Rias, who turned her attention towards him.

"You know him?"

"We haven't met personally, but I heard about someone with that same name from our teacher," Xenovia replied, as she continued looking forward. "A year ago, we heard about some incident involving multiple exorcists, which included our teacher. I don't know the reason, but afterward, he informed the lower-ranked exorcists to avoid a specific town in Japan under the jurisdiction of someone named Kensei Amagiri."

"He got involved with the Church too?"

Issei asked, surprised about that.

"Yes, but I don't know what the reason was. But, our teacher was serious about no one getting involved with the people from the same town as him."

Xenovia replied.

"…."

Claire found herself in an almost awkward situation as she was centered around that entire incident.

"I knew that Onii-sama said that Kensei was strong, but I didn't think that he'd be this strong."

Rias pointed out, but Claire smiled.

"Trust me, this is Kensei getting warmed up. He hasn't done much aside from surveying the situation since being in Kuoh Town."

Claire's comment caused them to become surprised as Kokabiel released three light spears straight toward him.

"Alright, I'm just about warmed up. "Tougen Amagiri-ryuu…."

Just as the three light spears were approaching Kensei, who held up Kurogane in a prepared manner.

"…Sandanzuki."

In a single move, Kensei unleashed three slashes that sliced apart the three light spears, causing a good amount of surprise from Rias' group.

"That technique is…."

Kiba uttered, recognizing the Sandanzuki as Okita Souji's technique, who was also his teacher.

"I'll slaughter you!"

"Senhachiju Pound Ho!"

Receiving the two swords sheathed beside him, then releases three slashes towards Kokabiel, while he rushed at him intending to attack. Reaching this technique, he held up his light sword to defend, but in response to all three slashes aimed at one spot, his light sword broke. Surprised, he looked forward, noticing that Kensei leaped upwards, and was prepared to assault him with another technique.

"Dammit!"

Kokabiel manifested another light sword to defend against it.

"Otatsu Hitokuchi!"

Kensei releases three downward slashes with the three swords he was holding, clashing against Kokabiel's light sword, resulting in a shockwave that broke apart the ground underneath them. He was surprised by the amount of strength behind the slash despite the fact there wasn't much exertion in it. Landing on the ground, Kensei had positioned himself to prepare for another technique, with Kokabiel attempting to move backward.

"Alright, here comes the new and improved. Tougen Amagiri-ryuu," Kensei said, adjusting his grip on his swords, while wind started gathering around him and them, before making a strong turn. "Tatsumaki!"

"Shiiiiit!"

Kokabiel found himself caught inside a tornado's center, trapping him inside, while also cutting him apart from the wind pressure within it. He was almost left unable to escape from the tornado as pressure contained him inside it, leaving him motionless. He sensed something else coming as Kensei was preparing for another assault, he leaped high into the air above the tornado.

From Kurogane, a bright white light could be seen being released from it, as its hamon shined the same color as the brilliant white aura.

"Tougen Amagiri-ryuu: Zantetsuken, Kabuto Kirema."

Kensei called out, then came downwards, initiating a powerful slash towards Kokabiel, who was still entrapped in the tornado. It ended up splitting the tornado down the middle while opening up a deep wound in Kokabiel's side and causing blood to escape from his mouth.

"D-Dammit."

Kokabiel landed on the ground as a large amount of blood started escaping from the wound, while Kensei landed on the ground.

"D-Damn, he's really strong. Is anyone sure he doesn't have a sacred gear or something?"

Issei asked.

[He doesn't. He's without a doubt a human who has trained himself for a long time, both his physical abilities and techniques have been honed, even the basics too. But, his talents are something that cannot be found in one and a million people. It's not surprising considering a previous host of mine encountered his ancestor before.]

"Eh. Is that the reason you reacted like that the first time we met him?"

[Ah, but I also sensed the presence of a dragon around him too. Aside from that, his ancestor was a warrior who defeated my previous host. And despite all that, his bloodline remains as strong as ever. I doubt the White One would admit it himself, but one of his hosts was defeated too.]

Ddraig explained.

"Wow, there was someone who defeated a Longinus user without a sacred gear."

[Ah, don't forget there are heroes with enough talent to deal with supernatural beings. But, it's ironic that his ancestor wielder a white blade, while he's wielding a black one.]

Ddraig stated as Kensei approached Kokabiel with a wondering look.

"Hmm, I should test out Tatsuwa."

Kensei said, sheathing his three swords, then pulled out Tatsuwa in its inactive state.

"D-Dammit, you're nothing, but some useless human! Your lifespan couldn't compare to a trivial half-breed and yet you dare fight and compete with a supreme being!"

"I'm not competing with a supreme being. I'm competing with a fallen angel, who looks like a vampire that spent a little bit too much time in the sun."

Kensei's comment caused those, such as Koneko to laugh a bit at the comparison between Kokabiel and also a vampire. It caused Kokabiel's face to contort in fury, causing light to sparkle around him as numerous spears of light around him. He then released them all towards Kensei with great anger, who continued looking as casual as before. After extending Tatsuwa outwards, he started spinning it around as if it was flowing, while the light spears were sent at him.

All the light spears were broken apart from the staff, and while ki was channeled into it, some of them were knocked back into another spear. Kensei kept walking forward into a sea of light spears without reacting or showing even the slightest discomfort. During this, Kokabiel started looking forward, while holding onto the wound that formed on his side.

"Tsk, this damn human! Fine, I won't hold back!"

Kokabiel declared, causing the darkness to spread outwards as a total of seven Cerberus started coming out of the shadows. Noticing this, their group looked around surprised by the number as flames spewed from all their mouths. A laugh escaped from the Cadre's mouth, noticing the greater amount of hellhounds compared to the others he summoned.

"Hahahaha, let's see whether or not they're able to handle these batch. It took the Sekiryuutei transferring power to Rias Gremory and her Queen! And this time, I covered them in a large amount of defensive magic, which will defend against the Durandal! Aren't you worried about them now?"

"Batter up!"

Kensei cheerfully swung Tatsuwa, sending the much larger light spear straight at Kokabiel.

"Tch, bastard!"

Kokabiel removed his head to the side, as the light spear came at him at a higher speed.

"I'd be more worried about yourself than them."

Kensei stated while placing Tatsuwa on his shoulder.

"Let's go."

Claire removed the barrier, letting out Naoto and Akari, who went forward to attack their pair of Cerberus.

"Are those going to be fine?"

Issei asked, noticing that the two of them didn't look that much younger than Koneko.

"They'll be fine. Kensei and his dad spent the last seven years putting them through rigorous training to prepare them to fight against the supernatural."

"Alright, let's have some fun," Akari shouted out loud with a fiery passion, from her hand, flames started gathering around her hand, then manifested her red katana. "Burn, Enten!"

"Ascend, Yamato."

Naoto held out his hand as a small blue Eastern Dragon started raising from his hand, then it manifested as one grayish-blue katana.

"Tenryuu Ittou-ryuu…."

"Guren Ittou-ryuu…."

Naoto and Akari started heading forward preparing their swords and techniques to handle the Cerberus standing in front of them.

""Kenatsu!""

Naoto released a blue slash wreathed in dragon aura, while Akari released a red slash wreathed in flames, both from their respective swords. Kenatsu was a basic technique among the Amagiri-ryuu, but it was the first one he taught and told them to master. But, once it collided with them, the defensive barrier that Kokabiel put around them blocked it. But, that didn't deter the younger teenagers as the pair continued pushing forward not skipping a beat at all.

"Wow…."

"Didn't I tell you, those two are more combat efficient than Riser's servants?"

Claire stated, smiling at the progress the two of them seemed to have made, then she manifested Nemesis Orion and Cherub. Witnessing this surprised those among Rias' peerage, in addition to Xenovia, who was able to also feel the light power from them.

"If you're going to fight, then fight."

Claire said, as she pulled the string, then started releasing light arrows at the Cerberus before her. As Kokabiel said, the hounds were defended with enough barriers to defend them against the light. But, she had the perfect way to counter it as she produced more light arrows imbued with her clan's famous, Worthless. Once the arrows had made contact with the defensive barriers, they broke them apart one by one.

"Can't let her fight alone. Let's go."

Rias ordered as her servants agreed, then started fighting against the Cerberus. Xenovia, despite not being one of her servants went in to join their fight against the Cerberus.

"Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!"

"Why so glum, Kokhead? Did your little war, or battle not turn in the direction that you wanted? Or are you sad that for the second time a human is humiliating you?"

"Silence!"

Kokabiel released a blast of light straight for Kensei, who avoided it.

"Well, to be honest, I think that you would've been happier with me instead of Sirzechs or Serafall. If you'd fought against Sirzechs, you would've died in a single move. And if you'd fought against Serafall, then you would've been a fallen angel icicle. It should be a lesson, you might be stronger than most, but you don't know the true distance between Heaven and Earth."

"And you do?! Urgh!"

"Of course, I do, I'm a strong human, but you don't see me going around causing fights with people," Kensei said while extending and swinging Tatsuwa, striking him in the side using a touki-infused strike, sending ki throughout his entire body. "Most of the time, I simply go places and challenge people sometimes, but I don't do anything as extreme as this. I mean, come on, did you think this trouble? In the Underworld, there are a collection of powerful opponents, two of them being Super Devils and two other Maou stronger than the last ones."

"I don't need to be talked down to be a…."

"Tougen Amagiri-ryuu," Kensei started spinning around Tatsuwa as flames started wreathing around it in greater amounts, focused around the tip. "Sangeki Kasei!"

In a single move, Kensei released three staff thrusts straight into Kokabiel's chest, the flames seeming to pierce through him. A large amount of blood escaped from his mouth, causing him to cough from the intense heat that'd originated from his chest.

"Well, you're sure durable. I weakened your defenses using ki and attacked you using different techniques. But, if you're wanting to start a war with someone in the future, then you should probably train for it."

"Hah, hahahahahahaha."

"Crap, I might've hit him too hard. He's losing his mind."

Kensei pointed out, wondering the reason Kokabiel was laughing.

"Hahahaha. Seeing even after losing the masters you serve, you devils and followers of God can still fight, huh!"

Kokabiel announced, catching the other's attention and causing Kensei to wonder whether or not he did hit him a bit too hard.

"…What do you mean?"

Rias asked, hearing Kokabiel's question.

"Fuhaha, fuhahahahahahahahahaha! That's right! I forgot! The truth wasn't revealed to you lower guys! I'll tell you then. In the war between the three factions, not only the Four Maou but also God died," Kokabiel openly declared out loud, surprising those listening. "It's normal for you guys not to know about it. Who can say God has died? Humans are an incomplete bunch. No God and humans can control neither their hearts and obey the laws, you know? You'd never know where the information about God will be leaked from, which is the reason we Grigori nor the Underworld could our underlings. Though, it seems Balba noticed it earlier."

"…Lies…it's a lie…."

Xenovia who heard such words was left unable to move, let alone hold onto Durandal. She, who dedicated her life to serving God and the Church heard that person died a long time ago.

"The truth is that another big war wouldn't happen unless you do it on purpose. It means that all three factions all went through hell in the past war. Everyone decided that it would be meaningless to continue having a war if the starters of it all, God and the Maou were dead. Even that bastard, Azazel declared that…."

Kokabiel was stopped as he sensed an intense aura behind him, then turned around to find Kensei staring at him with a dead serious look.

"It must be so sad being you, bitching and moaning because you're bored. So, you go around and attempt to be an asshole and start another war, dragging even the people from Japan into it too. If you want to die that badly, then I'll give you the chance."

At that dead-serious tone, Kensei raised his hand in the air, then used telekinesis to bring Durandal toward him. Catching it in his hand, the holy sword started releasing a powerful aura that looked to almost overflow from its blade. From the intense aura radiating from Durandal, and the blue light that seemed to radiate from Kensei's eyes, which showed his power. It almost reminded him of the first time that he encountered Vasco Strada.

"Your choices are, you can stand there and die like a man. Or, two, you can run and go out like a bitch."

"D-Don't think that you can…."

"Five…four…three…."

"…i-intimidate…."

"…two…."

Reaching that number, Kokabiel turned around, then found himself spreading his fallen angel wings in an attempt to escape from Kensei. He was heading in the direction of the barrier that was erected around Kuoh Academy, then caused a surprising sound to escape from Kensei's mouth.

"Huh, shame. I was almost hoping he'd pick the first choice."

Kensei said, but then raised Durandal into the air as the sword's overflowing aura began concentrating around its blade. Due to the barrier's strength, Kokabiel couldn't escape from the barrier, despite him blasting it utilizing light spears.

"Dammit, dammit, dammit, no, I'm not dying at the hands of a human! I was supposed to be the herald of another Great War and prove that fallen angels are superior to devils and angels! And I'm going to…!"

"And here's what you wanted, option number two!"

Kensei brought down Durandal, releasing a massive slash that spread towards Kokabiel, who seemed to fight to survive until the end. In an attempt to counter it, he released a massive light spear, but even that spear was split in two. It continued sailing and came into contact with Kokabiel, causing the barrier to be split into halves, and he was killed in the process.

After that, Kensei retrieved something from his pocket, an orb then pointed it in the same direction where he had killed Kokabiel. Making a sign using his hands, creating a magic circle from Shintoism, then a black light came in Kensei's direction and went straight into the orb.

[W-Where am I?]

Kokabiel's voice came from the orb, surprising those witnessing the entire thing.

"This is option number two. I thought that dying would be too easy for you, so think of this as your punishment for starting a war. So, I hope you enjoy your new home."

[Listen to me, you insufferable little…!]

"Aaaaand mute."

Placing another seal on the orb, Kokabiel's voice was muted too, then Kensei started tossing it in his hands.

"That was something."

Rias didn't have any other words to describe what she witnessed just then.

"Yeah, I made an original, Cadre Marble."

Kensei stated as he continued tossing the marble up and down in the air, sending the discomfort from the fallen angel contained within it.

"But, that was quite something for Kokabiel to reveal."

"Yeah, he revealed something that should've remained secret, so that the other factions wouldn't ever attempt to come here. But, this could be something that could cause a change in the manner that the Three Faction handles their situation now."

Kensei stated to release as Claire, Naoto, and Akari handled the last couple of Cerberus that remained, but most of it was because of the older girl's assistance.

"But, this isn't over yet. There's still someone coming to pick up this little moron."

"And that would be…?"

"The Hakuryuukou."

"What?"

From above them, there was a brilliant white light originating from someone coming in above them, as Zane and the others removed the barrier. Just then Vali donned in the white dragon armor of the Hakuryuukou, appeared right above them. In the presence of this person, Issei found his entire body shuttering as Ddraig seemed to also react to this person as he hosts his longtime rival.

"Hey, Vali. Here's Azazel's dumbass Cadre, in marble form."

Kensei said, tossing the marbleized Kokabiel, which he caught.

"Hahaha, so much bluster, and Kokabiel ended up sealed within a small marble. I'm also impressed by your fight, he might've been an average opponent, but you didn't use your more serious techniques against him. I guess he was correct when he mentioned a samurai defeated his previous host a long time ago."

Vali said, mentioning Albion, who admitted that his previous host lost against his ancestor too.

"And why would a previous Hakuryuukou fight against my maternal ancestor?"

"His host during that era was looking forward to fighting against the Sekiryuutei born into the Edo Period. And hearing that he lost against a samurai wasn't what he'd wanted to hear, causing his anger to turn at your maternal ancestor." Vali explained, feeling exhilarated to hear that Kensei's ancestor did fight against two of the previous Heavenly Dragon's hosts, despite not having sacred gear himself. "Looks like I have to carry Freed as well. There are things I need to ask him. We will deal with him after that."

He headed towards the unconscious Freed, who was still on the brink of death, because of Kiba's attack, at such a speed that it seemed instantaneous. Seeming to have done what he planned on doing, Vali was preparing to leave, but stopped.'

[Are you ignoring me, huh, White One?]

[So you were awake, Red One?]

Ddraig and Albion, after meeting one another once again, the Red and White Dragons started a conversation.

[We finally met, but in a situation like this.]

[That's all right. It's our destiny to fight one day. Things like this happen.]

[But White One. I can't feel the hostility from you like before.]

[Red One. Your hostility is incredibly low as well.]

[Looks like both of us have things that interest us more than fighting.]

[That's how it is. We should be having fun by ourselves for a while. It's not bad like this sometimes, right? Let's meet again, Ddraig.]

[That would also be fun, huh? See you then, Albion.]

Their conversation, which seemed to be the most causal one between them thus far ended there for now.

"Hey! What's the meaning of this!? Who are you and what are you doing!?"

"You need strength to understand everything. Get stronger, my rival-kun, I will fight you one day."

At that, Vali flew straight into the air as a trail of light, leaving from the entire situation with the uncomfortable feeling spread across him started fading.

"Well, that's the end of that. So, we'll be returning."

Kensei said as Claire, Naoto, and Akari started heading towards him.

Elsewhere, Zane, Lena, and the other magicians seemed to be beginning to leave themselves, but Zane seemed to be talking to Sona. During their interaction, Lena and Saji didn't seem to like that for two different reasons with their distaste being clearly shown.

"Wait, we didn't get to thank you for coming here to help."

"No need to, Azazel requested that I came here, and this town is important to Claire too."

Kensei stated, but then he started heading in the same direction as Xenovia; who despite the situation was in the middle of doing the last parts of her mission, which included gathering Excalibur's cores and Balba's corpse. But, Kensei's comment about Kuoh Town being important to do catch Rias' attention.

"Why is Kuoh Town important to you?"

"…," Claire almost didn't know what to tell her, considering the situation might not be up to Rias' tastes. "Before you became the overseer of this town, I was born here. Despite not being here anymore, this town still holds one special place in my heart."

"I didn't know about that. But, I'm glad that you were heard to help us protect it," Rias said, with Claire hearing the honest gratitude she had for protecting Kuoh Town. "If you ever want to come here, then feel free to."

"Thanks."

Claire said, smiling at the reaction.

"Here."

Kensei stabbed Durandal into the ground right in front of Xenovia, who turned her attention towards him, without much emotion behind them.

"…thanks. But, I don't know what we're going to do."

"Well, I and Claire ran into your partner, Irina, right," Kensei said, as Xenovia nodded her head in agreement to hearing her name. "I might not know much about your faith. I do know that you're going to go through a big change in your life with this reveal. But, your faith doesn't have to define you, it should be something that shapes you. If you don't feel comfortable being in the Church, then try to find your purpose in life."

"…."

Xenovia found herself nodding her head in agreement, while Kensei returned to his previous position with Claire and the others.

"Well, if that's all, we'll be returning home. My offer about coming to Kibou Town and seeing what our life is like is still often."

At Kensei's casual comment, Rias and the others started feeling the atmosphere starting to return to what it was before. A moment later, a magic circle appeared under their feet, then the four vanished from their school which used to be a battlefield. And it would end up being an event that would decide the future for the Three Factions, while what comes afterward would decide what'll happen for Kensei and the others.

A/N: And there goes the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, which introduced the newer vehicles that the Kibou Academy's Research Department developed. Afterward, there was their meeting with Azazel and Vali, to who Kensei and Lingqi talked. More information all about Kensei's maternal ancestor, Itsuki Amagiri, as well as his children and preceding members too. Their group was tasked with taking care of Kokabiel, leading to them handling the situation. Before that, though Kensei ended up having an intimate moment with Yasaka, which Kunou ended up joining in too.

Claire also met Irina for the first time, though, it wasn't an official meeting, but that's going to change in the future. In the end, Kensei did end up taking care of the Cadre himself, sealing him inside of a gem as his punishment. And the truth about God's death ended up being revealed, with Kensei and the others all finding out about it too. Well, this is the end of the Kokabiel Incident, with the true volume's climax being ahead in the future.
