Origins: Nature's Roar

Along a river in a lush forest, a growl could be heard over the sound of rushing water. The crystal clear waters shook as the growling grew louder, as if a great beast was approaching. Red burst from the sea of trees, revealing a different kind of beast. A large red truck slowed to a halt next to the water, and out stepped a blonde haired boy. He wore a plain white hoodie with dark blue jeans. He reached back into the truck, and put on a pair of rectangular glasses over his green eyes.

'This new upgrade really makes my truck a beast! Can it take the leap now? I'll try in a few minutes, this place is gorgeous!' He thought, as he stared over the clearing. The vibrant green of the leaves and grass with the beautiful clear blue of the water was breathtaking. This is why he loved nature. Hopefully the new upgrades to his truck would pass all the tests he could think of. If his truck could take him anywhere he could think of, It would be a dream come true.

Taking a deep breath, he got back into the driver seat of his truck and turned the key, causing the engine to roar to life and cause the ground to rumble. He put his foot down, accelerating into the sea of trees once more.

The red beast once more emerged from the dense forest and came to a stop on a long straight of even rock, leading to a sheer drop. 'The leap. Let's do a speed test in conjunction with the leap and see if we can handle anything!' He thought, as he backed up and straightened himself out to face the drop ahead of him. He grabbed his dark green helmet from the passenger seat and encased the back and top of his head with the important object, just in case.

'I don't have enough space to get up to full speed. I'll just have to do a launch start' He thought, putting his car into drive before putting his feet on the gas pedal and the e-brake. 'I'll use that new booster fuel too' He thought, as he reached over and pressed a small red button.

His engine roared like an ancient beast awoken from its slumber as his car began to glow light blue. His tires caught fire, and he took his foot off the e-brake. His car shot forward instantly, like a bullet from a gun, causing him to fly back into his seat, leaving only a trail of orange flames in his wake. His speedometer was being pushed to its limit, crossing 300 mph.

As he finally reached the edge of the cliff, something strange began to happen in front of him. Reality itself seemed to distort midair. The moment his tires left the ground, the distortion tore itself open revealing a large purple portal with green edges. He stared in shock, before realizing that he couldn't stop if he wanted to. Unable to do anything else, he slammed his feet on the brake and e-brake, but it did nothing, as he and the portal vanished in a flash of white light upon contact.
