Welcome to the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, but before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:
altair95: Thanks. Yeah, I'm sure that hearing the relative of a previous Sekiryuutei was the same person in front of you would be a surprise. It was the best move considering that it would've been a big surprise if the group ran into them without knowing who they were. I'm sure that Grigori was attempting to put a lot of serious attention on Jun, considering what he did. Well, that won't last long considering all of the dangerous stuff that Issei does. Each of the members of the Kibou Alliance has gone through some real growth and gained their original abilities. And there were cute moments from the reunion too.
The Sisters' Reunion
Tomorrow evening, the day of the Maou-sponsored party, something that the Kibou Alliance's Numbers and their team were invited to. In the Phenex Castle, the men and women were being of being fitted with suits and dresses for the occasion. Lord Phenex left ahead of time to meet up with Sirzechs, other adults, and fathers there. But, it seemed to be a chance for the grown men to drink and talk among themselves. Those who finished first, were Kensei, Zane, Alex, and Zachery, the former member of Abigail's medical team, the Cherub Unit.
"You know, I can't help but be surprised each time we get invited to big parties like this."
Alex stated, feeling a bit uncomfortable at the prospect.
"Get used to it, Alex. If you want to continue being on a Number's team, then you're going to be invited to all sorts of events like that. And a whole lot of important figures too, some of them often being gods."
Kensei stated, causing Alex to feel a bit more comfortable about that.
"Yeah, I don't think that helped, Kensei."
Zane added something that Kensei couldn't disagree with, causing him to give the younger man a comforting pat on the back. It seemed to work as the young man began calming down about the situation, however, this caused a faint nervous laugh from Alex.
"I did all that training and I can't get over the anxiety of thinking about numerous things that we'll end up going to experience in the future."
Alex stated, wearing a casual and nervous smile.
"Well, you'll get used to it at some point. I don't think that it'll look cool if you act like this in front of Iris."
Kensei pointed out, something that caused Alex to cough several times and looked flustered.
"Wh-Wh-What're you talking about? I-I-I-I-I d-don't like…."
"You haven't finished speaking and you're not even doing a good job pleading your case."
Zane pointed out, noting the nervousness behind Alex's voice to make it seem as if he didn't even like Iris. At that realization, he drooped his arms and head without hesitation, almost as if he fell into a depression.
"Come on, brave through it Alex."
Kensei encouraged while watching as Zack proceeded to pat the younger man on the back.
"Kensei, what did you tell Alex?"
He and Zane heard Maria's voice, causing a faint reaction.
"In my defense, I didn't think that he'd react like that. I mean, at least, in regards to the party."
Kensei replied standing up.
Maria wore a beautiful white and blue dress, making her look like a princess, rather than a Knight, however, the stance she made it so that both titles could fit.
"I feel as if you and Zane said something to him."
Maria sighed, tilting her head as she stared at her two friends, who could have been her brothers in another life. Considering how the three of them acted around one another, others could have even confused them as a trio of siblings.
"You're not technically wrong."
Zane pointed out.
"Did Zane and Kensei say something to Alex?"
Layla arrived too, dressed in a blue dress that fit her serious and cold air.
"It seems so."
Maria replied as Layla seemed to have moved to comfort Alex.
"Wow, now don't we feel like the bad guys here?"
Kensei stated, placing his hands at his sides for a moment.
"Probably, because you sometimes don't know when to not speak your mind."
Maria stated, staring straight at Kensei, who couldn't deny those words.
At that, the women soon started coming back from where the maids left them to get changed and stood there, all of them adorned in dresses. Among the Cherub Unit, Abigail and Lisanna were dressed in beautiful white dresses, but the one the former wore looked to have fit her more developed proportions. Among the Jade Team, Hisui wore a beautiful jade dress aligned with some jewelry that matched and Rui wore a pink dress that fit the girl's build. The sole woman of the Grimoire Unit, Lena wore a beautiful black dress.
Among the Sword Team: Claire wore a silver dress, Alice a blue dress, Kunou wore an orange dress, Minako a pink dress that matched the color of cherry blossoms, Ravel wore a white and red dress that was designed with the same aesthetics of a phoenix, and Lingqi was dressed in more of a Chinese dress with a green tiger designed along it. Each of the women looked like an actual princess as the group stood in front of the men dressed in suits, who at the same thing would end up being their escorts there too.
"Well, don't you all look beautiful."
Kensei greeted them in a calm and gentle, sparking a reaction from the women from his side.
"O-Of course," Ravel immediately replied. "I wouldn't be too opposed to receiving such praise."
"Heh, tsundere~"
Kunou said under her breath as she placed a hand in front of her mouth.
"Well, since we're all here. Why don't we head off already."
Claire suggested, causing the group to proceed heading in the direction of a more open area.
Getting out into the open, Alice made a slight gesture as her shadow expanded outwards, then something expanded out of it. It was soon revealed to be a full-sized Western Dragon, big enough for the entire group to ride on top of without losing space. A moment later, Kensei caused himself and the others to be lifted into the air using telekinesis. He then caused them to be landed on top of the Dragon's back, showcasing a great deal of improvement in the technique.
"Let's go, Rastaban!"
At that, the Dragon named Rastaban took off without causing much disturbance to the entire area, then it continued gaining altitude. Reaching a good height, Rastaban started heading in the same direction as the party's destination.
"Wow, Alice sure did create a wonderful Dragon."
Maria stated, noting that Rastaban's presence was much different compared to the other creature that she made before the summer started.
"Yeah, she worked herself hard to improve her usage of Annihilation Maker. Among that, it included getting much better at creating the Shikigami among the Amagiri Clan."
Kensei replied, earning Maria's attention.
"Hmm, it makes me curious about our next battle. It could be that I started learning Senjutsu, but it feels as if I can sense things much clearer than I could before."
"Yeah, you'll get used to that. Learning it, almost makes you feel as if you're being watched from all sides," Hisui pointed out without turning around. "Knowing our dear and diligent Knight, she'll get used to learning Senjutsu and improving the Sacred Arts she created."
"Well, all of us have a long way to go before calling ourselves true masters of our arts."
Maria started, looking forward with a smile.
Zane set up a large barrier around the people sitting on top of the Dragon, so that the women, who finished putting on makeup and dresses would get messed up. Because of that, the group could genuinely enjoy the experience of soaring through the sky.
Not much time passed as the group arrived at the high-class hotel, where the group was supposed to be. It was then that Alice returned Rastaban to her shadow, then entered through the assigned entrance. Being led by Ravel, who has intimate knowledge about the hotel ahead of time. The group soon arrived in front of an entrance leading to the location where the meeting would be held.
"Whoa, as expected, the Underworld doesn't hold back."
Kensei stated.
Entering the hall, Kensei and the others found themselves in a gorgeous hall with an incredibly large floor, where a crowd of Devils stood. There was a collection of delicious food and drinks for them and the others to enjoy for themselves. As soon as the group was noticed by the other pure-blood Devils and servants, who'd turned their attention toward them.
[Ooh!]
It seems as if their appearance garnered some attention from them.
"Ravel-sama, you look so beautiful."
"It seems as if these are the people that Sirzechs-sama, Ajuka-sama, Serafall-sama, and Falibum-sama have held in high regard."
"I haven't met them ourselves. But, I can see that their group appears quite capable."
"And there are some beautiful women in their group."
"And men too~"
From the crowd, it looked as if the members of the Kibou Alliance were garnering some attention from them, something that surprised them.
"Wow, this is a surprise. I thought that we'd receive the usual looks."
Kensei stated, almost surprised about the comments from some of the Pure-blooded Devils.
"Well, some of them have some personal intentions behind them though."
Hisui uttered under her breath, standing near them.
"It would be a good chance to earn 'some' business from the Underworld, aside from the groups that we're familiar with now. I think that my family would be interested in gaining some more attention from some in the Underworld too. No doubt, some Devils here would want to contact my household."
Zane pointed out, showing a sense of business knowledge.
"I wonder how many people are knowledgeable of the idol here."
Claire wondered as Minako looked interested in that herself.
Before the Kibou Alliance, she wondered how many people heard about her music. It was easier considering a lot of the Devils in the Underworld are Reincarnated Devils from the Underworld.
"I guess that we'll have to see for ourselves."
After that, the Kibou Group entered the extravagant hall, then proceeded to commence conversations with the people there. Kensei and the others could tell that their group arrived ahead of time compared to that of the Gremory Group. That aside, there were people they were aware of, such as Sairaorg and Seekvaira, both of whom were joined with their peerage. There was Diodora too, however, no one from the Kibou Team had any kind of trust in him whatsoever.
"Yo, how's the Strongest Youth doing?"
Kensei asked out loud, waving his hand straight at the Pure-Blood Devil, who looked far more like a martial artist instead of someone from the Bael Clan.
"Hey, Kensei. I was wondering when I would end up seeing your group here."
Sairaorg returned the greeting, showing a jovial look.
"Yeah, I thought that I'd come here and talk to the Bael Heir. I think that attending parties like this and even hearing the usual thing could get boring and stuffy."
"Hahaha, I can see that you never mince words as usual. I do think that things here could get boring from time to time, but it is an important thing," Sairaorg stated, wearing a gentle smile. "Though, nowadays ever since Rias brought the Sekiryuutei into her peerage, I get the feeling that some interesting things are going to happen during these times."
"You mean like the time he'd busted right into the engagement party, then declared Rias' virginity belonged to him," Kensei reminded him, almost causing Sairaorg to burst out laughing at the memory of that. "That'll forever be one of the funniest moments here."
"He does some interesting things for someone said to be the weakest Sekiryuutei in history. But, I feel as if he'll end up doing something that the other hosts couldn't."
"Well, he's already doing things that Devils or Humans couldn't comprehend. I mean, he created a technique that strips the clothes from women. And Issei's perverted nature is a prime source for whatever he plans on achieving in the future," Kensei stated, taking a sip from the drink in his hands. "Though, if he uses that on either Claire or the others, I'll kick his ass across the Underworld."
"Hahaha, that sounds like you," Sairaorg said, laughing at the comment Kensei made, both of them sharing a friendly air. "I can tell that your group has gotten much stronger compared to the last time that I saw you all. It's somewhat hard to tell considering some of you have improved in hiding your presence from others, but that's a simple feeling that I have."
"Wow, someone is sharper than even some people that I know. But, that's understandable considering that you trained yourself to the absolute limit to get where you are now."
Kensei and Sairaorg could share that same hint of camaraderie because the two trained in martial arts with the same amount of diligence. He then looked to find Lingqi heading in their direction, as a genuine wave came from her.
"Sorry, if I'm interrupting something. I was just interested in meeting the Bael Heir," Lingqi stated, arriving in front of them. "I haven't gotten the best chance for a casual conversation. So, this seemed to be the best chance for that."
"Ah, so you're the famous Lu Lingqi."
"Eh, I wouldn't call myself famous."
In response to Sairaorg calling her something like 'famous', Lingqi found herself scratching the back of her head nervously.
"Well, I heard somewhat about the training sect that your grandfather founded," Sairaorg revealed, with an interested look, something which surprised Lingqi. "I've become interested in people like Lu Jie, because of the things they managed to achieve. He, in particular, could achieve a remarkable feat that gained even the Chinese Gods' attention. And for his oldest granddaughter, I can sense truly sense the presence of a beast from you. Much more than before."
From that, Lingqi was surprised and found it admirable that Sairaorg, having low demonic power could gain such a level of understanding known to martial artists. It could be noted that it appeared as if he was self-taught rather than learning an actual style. However, despite that, Sairaorg's martial arts skills could match that of theirs, who learned such things.
"Well, I'm honored that someone such as yourself heard of our family," Lingqi replied, bowing her head as a sign of respect. "If you don't me saying this, I can sense the presence similar to that of a Lion from you too. And there's something else about the person over there."
Having said that, Lingqi signaled in the direction of Sairaorg's Pawn, who was standing right beside all the others and leaning against the wall. There was almost no notable feature compared to the others, if either of them had to guess his build was no different from a second-year student. However, seeing as supernatural beings could be older than any of them, while maintaining a youthful look. It seemed as if he was giving off a mysterious presence, but not to the point of letting anything about his origins out.
"I did notice something different about him too."
Kensei pointed out, wearing a casual look.
But, neither he nor Lingqi mentioned anything since it looked as if Sairaorg wanted the Pawn to remain a secret for some reason. It was notable about he wasn't the kind of person who would hide someone like this and if that was the case, then hiding his face wouldn't be needed that much. So, it seemed as if Sairaorg is hiding their appearance for someone else rather than either of them.
"Well, at this point, you could consider him a trump card for myself and the Underworld. Although, I do feel I should point out that he's someone who won't listen to anyone aside from me."
Sairaorg pointed out, wearing a jovial look.
"Well, I'm sure you have your reasons and I won't pry too much," Kensei pointed out. "Though, if you have an interest in lions, then you should try seeing the Nemean Lions from the Greek Faction. I swear seeing the Nemean Lions in person is an experience."
"…."
At that, the masked Pawn seemed to have reacted to hearing the Nemean Lions mentioned.
"I'm sure that'd be an experience. I happen to love lions, because of my mother's lineage," Sairaorg replied, almost as if he was giving them a hint. "It would be interesting to have a match with one, I heard that even a Demigod like Heracles had trouble in fighting one of them."
All three of them continued sharing a casual conversation. Kensei then looked to find that the Gremory and Sitri Group seemed to have arrived there, as the higher-ups turned their attention over in the group's direction. Same as the people there, the group was dressed in outfits matching the occasion; but the men, like Issei and Saji, seemed to have been dressed in their school uniforms.
"Well, let's see if something fun happens today."
Kensei stated, wearing an interested look.
After their arrival, the Maou-sponsored party continued from there, with the Gremory Group performing a round of greetings. Once that was settled, the individual groups started conversing with the others much closer to their age. It seemed to have been going better compared to the older people interested in things outside of the group's personal lives. Zane was also in the process of holding a conversation with Sona, as Lena talked to those among her peerage; however, she remained close enough to the two.
Also, it looked as if the same thing happened after Zane ended up meeting with and talking to Seekvaira as well. Not that anyone could blame, seeing as the two were among the few Zane could share an intellectual conversation with without needing to do much explaining. Claire and the others were talking to the people of the Gremory Group, some of whom were resting from the nonstop conversing with the higher-ups. Kiba, of course, was surrounded by female Devils.
The same thing could be said about Minako, who was somewhat known around the Underworld as a popular idol. Not wanting to leave her alone, Lingqi remained by the girl's side in case something happened, whereas Ravel found herself caught in meeting those aligned with the Phenex Clan.
Amid this, Kensei looked around to find that Koneko didn't seem to be around Issei or the others, not even in clear sight of them. Sensing the room a bit, he turned to find two things odd there. First, he did end up finding Koneko there, and then second, it seemed as if there was a black cat familiar. It didn't seem all that odd, because there were Devils there too. However, Koneko seemed to have noticed something familiar with the black cat. And that caused the white-haired girl to follow after it without hesitation.
"Well, it seems as if something fun is about to start."
Kensei said, then started walking in a manner where his departure would be noticed. He walked over toward an opened window, then leaped off the balcony and began floating upwards.
Retrieving his Oracle Phone, then pressed an emergency button, something that would attract the others' attention. As expected, he opened up a telepathic link with the others' Oracle Phones, as he first received a comment from Claire.
[Kensei, did something happen?]
"Yeah, Koneko left the party, following someone's Familiar. It didn't look as if she was doing this randomly," Kensei explained, as the others listened in too. "I'm outside right now and I'm about to follow after her. I'm not sure what's happening right now, but remain here if it ends up endangering the people there."
[Alright, got it!]
Everyone on the telepathic line agreed without question, then Kensei started flying off in the direction of the black cat, while completely masking his presence and scent.
[Kensei, got off of the elevator and is heading somewhere in the direction of the forest.]
"Claire, how do you know that if you're still in that building?"
Kensei asked confused, almost reminded of their first encounter after the summer break ended.
[Claire, what's with your eyes?]
[I'll explain it later. Kensei, it looks as if there are two people in the forest, where that black cat is headed.]
Getting that information from Claire, Kensei headed in the direction that she advised without hesitation in the belief of her words.
Arriving at the location, he found himself landing in a tree, but before doing that he used another technique derived from Shinsoku. Muon, a technique meaning "Soundless", is something that erases things like sound and presence from Kensei's movements and actions. Because of this, he landed on a tree without causing the slightest disturbance. He learned to eliminate his scent using Senjutsu too, something that he did as it would become troublesome if he was found because of it.
After that, Kensei looked found to find that there were two individuals right there. First, the one that caught his attention the most was the black-haired female Nekoshou. An undeniably beautiful young woman with a voluptuous body, dressed in a black kimono that emphasized her breasts, which rivaled Rias' and Akeno's based on what he could see. Although, from the angle where Kensei stood, it gave him a full view of the top of her breasts.
"I'm guessing that's Koneko's sister. And that guy there is," Kensei turned his attention towards the young man adorned in Ancient Chinese armor, who despite looking human gave off a familiar presence closer to a Youkai. "He must be Sun-sensei's descendant. Since I heard that Bikou joined the Vali Team, then that means that Kuroka is a member too."
As Kensei uttered to himself, Kuroka soon reacted as Koneko seemed to have arrived, just as the black cat returned to her owner, her.
"It's been a while, hasn't it," Koneko looked up with surprise and anger as she watched her older sister, who looked casual while sitting down on the tree. "Hello, Shirone. It's me, your Onee-chan."
"So, Koneko's real name…. Or original name is Shirone."
Kensei uttered to himself.
He could tell that Koneko was scared, but she was maintaining a calm and strong look while staring right at her older sister. It made him proud as a teacher, while Koneko kept standing her ground. Among this, Kensei could sense that Issei and Rias were there too, but tried to remain hidden.
"Onee-chan is impressed that you came this far by following after my familiar that sneaked into the party, nya," Kuroka said, rubbing the black cat's head as it nuzzled against her hand. "But, I'm sure surprised that you're standing there in your usual shape. I guess that my cute younger sister learned something too."
"…?"
Kensei looked confused as he kept sensing Kuroka's presence. It sounded as if she was being genuine right in front of Koneko rather than intending on tricking her.
"This is weird, wasn't it said that she lost control of Senjutsu and took in the malice in the world? Aside from being a Reincarnated Devil, she's completely normal."
Kensei found this confusing considering this contradicted what was reported about Kuroka becoming a Rogue Devil.
"…Kuroka-neesama. What is this about?"
"Don't make a scary face. I had some minor business to take care of. I heard that the Devils were holding a big party here, you know? That's why I was a little interested. Nyan~"
Kuroka waved her hand as if she were an actual cat.
"Hahahaha, could it be that you're a member of the Gremory group," it looked as if Bikou decided to out Rias and Issei, both of whom remained in the same position until they got called out. To Kensei, it looked as if the two didn't believe that they got caught. "Even if you erase your presence, it's useless. With people like me and Kuroka who know Senjutsu, we can approximately detect you with just a slight variation in the flow of your spirit."
Taking note of that, Issei and Rias got out from where the two were hiding in the bushes, then showed their actual presence. It looked as if Koneko was too focused on Kuroka to sense the presence of Issei and Rias, who were nearby.
"…Ise-senpai, Buchou."
"Yo, damn monkey-san. Is Vali doing well?"
"Hahahaha, pretty much. As for you…," Bikou said, before sensing the presence that radiated from Issei, as he stood in the same position. Issei did become much stronger than the last time the two met one another. "Heh, so you've become a little stronger, huh? I have an interest in Senjutsu, and I know the flow of your spirit to a degree. The volume of aura that covers you has risen since we last met."
"Senjutsu. Isn't that the thing Kensei uses?"
"It is different from demonic power and magic. It stresses the importance of chakra, the aura, or life force, which is the great original power that flows into one's spirit, then turns it into a constant current. It is similar, to but different from demonic and light powers. Its direct destructive power can't match either, but it makes use of the unknown parts hidden in plants, animals, and people. As Bikou showed, if you learn it, then you could sense the flow of someone's spirit and grasp their movements."
Rias explained while looking forward at them.
"We can also use Ki to reinforce our interior and exterior or disturb the ki of plants, making them bloom or whiter, nyan~ Senjutsu is a skill meant to manipulate the flow of life, after all," Kuroka explained, while she'd kept speaking. "Because the methods for repairing the disorder of one's life force is limited, this method of attack almost guarantees death, nyan~"
At Kuroka's explanation, Issei became almost more worried about the fact that it could accomplish things like that. But, it explained the reason that Kensei could heal him the last time the two met, and then heal his life force. No matter, Issei couldn't let anything happen to Kuroka.
"Why are you here? Is this a terrorist attack?"
Issei asked frankly, but Kuroka and Bikou laughed off their concern.
"Not really, we didn't come here for another terrorist attack. A standby order came out in the Underworld, with me and Kuroka being off-duty right now. After that, Kuroka suggested visiting the Devils' party. But, I came along with her too, because I thought she wouldn't return that easily. Okay?"
Bikou replied honestly, shrugging his shoulder as it meant that Kuroka wanted to come here for a personal reason. But, Kuroka looked confused about who Issei was.
"Bikou, who is this boy?"
Kuroka asked, pointing her finger at Issei while turning over to Issei.
"The Sekiryuutei."
Bikou replied, sparking a surprised look on Kuroka's face.
"Nyan ~? Heh~ So this is the current breasts-loving Sekiryuutei who repelled Vali before."
At Kuroka's response, Issei received a blow straight to the heart from Kuroka's words alone.
"Well, she's a savage like her younger sister."
Kensei thought.
"Kuroka, let's go back~ Since we can't participate in that party anyway, it's a waste to stay here."
Bikou sighed, feeling bored right then and there.
"Yes, let's return," Kuroka had replied, shrugging her shoulders, but then turned her attention over towards a surprised Koneko. "But, I'll take Shirone with me, nyan~ Since I didn't bring her with me that time~"
"Arara, if you bring her back with you of your own accord, Vali might get angry, you know?"
"When they know that the same power as mine flows within her," Kuroka replied, something that had caused Bikou to consider it. "It looks as if Shirone has started using her Nekomata powers again. So, both I know that Ophis and Vali will be convinced, right?"
"Well, that may be so."
It seemed as if Bikou was convinced about that, something that caused Koneko to almost shutter from the presence being aimed square at her.
"This girl is an important friend among us of the Gremory group. I won't allow you to take her away."
Issei stated, seeming to almost cause Kuroka and Bikou to laugh at the response.
"No, no, that's very brave of you, but do you intend to make me and Kuroka your opponents," Bikou in a mocking manner stated, while waving it off. "This time, we'll leave immediately once we take this girl back, so it'll be fine for you, right?"
"This child is my servant. I won't let you put even a single finger on her."
Rias stepped forward without hesitation.
"Ara, what are you saying, nya~? She's my little sister, so shouldn't I have the right to love her? A High-Class Devil shouldn't try and take that privilege," Kuroka said, raising her hand in the air as the atmosphere began changing right then and there. "Since you're so troublesome, I'll kill you, nyan~"
At that, Kensei noticed that the entire space was changed, however, the environment didn't even change in the slightest. It sparked surprise from Rias, as she looked forwards at Kuroka surprised about it.
"Oh, she can manipulate space. But, it doesn't look as if she can manipulate time," Kensei said, looking right down at them. "Well, since it came to this point."
Still using Muon, Kensei managed to maneuver around without causing the slightest disturbance in the tree or leaving around them. It seemed as if neither Kuroka nor Bikou could tell that Kensei was there, but because of the angle, Koneko, Issei, and Rias were surprised to find him hanging freely off a branch beside Kuroka.
"Nyan, what's wrong, did Onee-sama scare you?"
Kuroka asked jovially, wondering what the three were staring at.
"So, you're Koneko's big sister."
"Nya?"
"Eh?"
Kuroka looked surprised about the suddenness of Kensei's voice, then she and Bikou turned to him, Kuroka, in particular, turned to find him right in front of her face.
"Yo, it's nice to meet you."
"Nyaaaaa!"
Despite the casual greeting, Kuroka left off where she sat, almost like a cat that was frightened by someone or something. It, however, caused her to fall from the branch that she sat on, but found herself floating in the air. She then looked to find Kensei landed on the ground, while pointing his hand straight at, her as she was returned to her former position.
"…Ken-sensei?"
"Kensei, why are you here?"
Koneko, Issei, and Rias, of course, were surprised that Kensei was there in the first place.
"Oh, I have been here the entire time. I noticed Koneko leaving the party, so I followed the familiar over here. So, I found Kuroka and Bikou standing waiting right over here," Kensei had replied casually, something that surprised the two Senjutsu users, considering that neither of them could sense him there. "Because a Nekomata has a strong sense of smell compared to even a Devil, I masked that."
"Bikou, who is that handsome and fine specimen," Kuroka said, immediately showing attraction, then smelt a pleasant smell from Kensei, who stopped masking it. "And he has a nice scent."
"I don't know," Bikou stated, then started remembering something. "I do remember that Vali went out to someplace with Azazel to meet someone. If I remember, I heard he met that girl he once fought against, Lingqi. He then said something about meeting the descendant of someone who defeated the Heavenly Dragons' hosts, despite not being a Sacred Gear user."
"Oh, well, that seems interesting. Well, I haven't met a Human your age who could learn Senjutsu before. I take it that you taught my dear Shirone Senjutsu."
"That's me, the name is Kensei Amagiri," Kensei stated, looking straight forward. "Of course, didn't expect I would end up meeting Sun-sensei's descendant here."
"Sun…sensei."
Kuroka looked confused about who that could be, but then she and Bikou put one and two together.
"W-W-What, y-y-you learned Senjutsu from my ancestor," Bikou looked surprised and almost scared at the thought of that. "You trained with that monster?!"
"Eh, what makes Sun-sensei a monster? I mean, aside from the fact that he happens to be a former Youkai, and does appear as a monkey."
"Are you kidding me?! He's completely mastered Senjutsu and Youjutsu, which is something that I'm not at all sure that any other Youkai has managed to do."
"I could tell him that you said that. As a matter of fact, I think that he said that he was looking for you in the first place," Kensei stated, holding out the Oracle Phone in his hands. "I have him on speed dial."
"Put that phone down!"
Bikou demanded frighteningly, pointing his finger at the phone, something that caused Kuroka and Koneko to almost burst out into laughter.
"Well, those two are alike in more ways than one," Kensei thought, returning the Oracle Phone to his pocket and glancing to the side. He then turned his attention over towards Kuroka, who continued looking on with a wondering look. "Just letting you know. I can understand the feeling of wanting to reunite with your sibling after a long time. But, you're kinda going about it in the wrong direction."
"Oh, nyan, is that so? I can see that Shirone learned a thing or two about Senjutsu from you. And you do look like someone who could be more understanding than the princess there," Kuroka said in an almost interested tone, rather than a hostile one. She then noticed that more than Rias and Issei, it'd seemed as if Koneko was leaning in much closer to Kensei. "And I can see that Shirone seems to be more attached to you than the princess and Sekiryuutei. So, as an older sister, it would make sense that I tested you for myself."
At that, Kuroka without warning unleashed a thin mist was expanded outwards until it covered the forest, which was enclosed in the spatial barrier. Acting on reflex, Kensei moved in to cover Koneko's mouth so the poison wouldn't be breathed in. Rias, who was much further than the two couldn't react in time, as its effects became apparent as she knelt on the ground.
"Buchou?!"
Issei called out, moving over to Rias.
"…thanks, Ken-sensei. But, this is…."
Koneko thanked him but noticed that the mist was a poisonous one.
"Nyan, good job, you moved in to protect my Shirone before yourself," Kuroka said, almost amused, but he couldn't find actual malice in her words at all. "But, this mist might not work on the Sekiryuutei, because he is the host of a Dragon. It's a mist that affects Devils and Youkai, it'd be worse even for Humans. And yet, it seems as if you're not immediately affected."
"Right, so you might not be aware of it. But, though both of my parents are humans. I inherited the blood of a Dragon from my dad, who drank the blood of an Evil Dragon. I also trained my body to be more resistant to things like poisons over the years," Kensei revealed, causing Kuroka and Bikou to look surprised. "Although, I did inherit dragon aura like my younger brother and sister. I recently looked up some of my maternal clan's past and it's a little bit more unique with me."
"Someone masterful enough in Senjutsu to hide from Bikou and me, as well as someone who inherited the blood of a Dragon too. And trained Shirone," Kuroka uttered to herself, before seductively licking her lips. "I wonder if fate brought us together."
"Well, if you feel that strongly about it, then how about we talk over tea."
"Nyan, nope~"
"Thought so."
Kensei raised his free hand in the air, then unleashed a massive gust of wind, which blow up the poison mist. It was a strong and unexpected unleash of wind that Rias and Issei, almost couldn't prepare for it, the sole safe one was Koneko who remained right beside him. Despite unleashing a strong blast of wind, Kensei didn't seem to put that much amount of effort behind it.
"How strong did that guy get? The last time we saw him, he was toying with Kokabiel throughout the fight. And right now, I can't even sense anything from him despite improving in regards to that."
Issei asked himself.
"Let's see," Kensei said out loud, then turned to Rias and Issei, who looked confused about that. "Alright, I think that you two should fight against Bikou there. I and Koneko will handle her sister."
"Wha…?"
Issei looked confused about the fact that Kensei said such a thing, then looked to notice him placing a hand on top of Rias' hand. Despite being poisoned, she began feeling much better as she was detoxified of the poison running throughout herself. After that, Rias stood on her feet, then looked prepared for what is about to happen next.
"If you're the Sekiryuutei, who plans on becoming the Strongest Pawn, then there shouldn't be hesitation in fighting against the people in front of you. Besides, I doubt that someone like you would want to look like a chump in front of your King."
Kensei stated, causing Issei to become much more invigorated by the comment.
"Hahaha, I like the sound of that. Let's go, Kintoun," Bikou stated, almost calling a golden cloud that went in his direction. "I wouldn't mind seeing how strong the Sekiryuutei became for Vali!"
"Let's so, Buchou! Alright, come back here monkey!"
Issei stated, as he and Rias headed straight in the direction of Bikou, who was holding his staff resting on his shoulders.
After those two left for another part of the enclosed forest, it left Kensei and Koneko in front of Kuroka, who kept sitting down on the branch.
"Ken-sensei, I…understand Kuroka-neesama's power more than anyone. Her power can rival that of even an Ultimate-Class Devil. I don't know if I can assist in fighting against her."
Koneko said, holding onto Kensei's hand with a strong, yet shaky grip.
"Well, you're fresh out of training. So, I don't expect you to defeat your older sister. But, that's the reason I'd said that you'd be the one to fight with me," Kensei stated back, then returned the grip on Koneko's hand. "I want you to do is to show your older sister how strong you became. If you're an older sibling, then there's no greater honor in seeing how far your younger sibling progressed."
"…."
At that, Koneko felt those words radiating throughout her mind without coming close to doubting Kensei in the slightest. Throughout the summer, she felt such a strong sense of feelings and admiration for him, who dedicated training her step-by-step in martial arts and Senjutsu without impatience from her fears. After a last breath escaped from Koneko's mouth, her fears seemed to fade too. Kuroka stood in front of her, the older sister who abandoned her, but Koneko wanted to do what Kensei said. Koneko wanted to show Kuroka how strong she became.
"Alright."
In a tone of confidence and emotions, then stood in a prepared stance as faint aura could be seen around her fists.
"If that's how Shirone wants to do things, then fine," Kuroka covered her mouth using her sleeves, which is something that caused Kensei to believe that she was smiling but didn't want to show it. "Then show your Onee-sama how strong you became!"
At that, Kuroka released a black aura from her entire body, as she sent fighting intent straight at Kensei and Koneko. He placed her hand on the tree beside her, her then it started moving around as if it were alive, taking the shape of a giant hand. It was then swung straight in the direction of Kensei and Koneko, the first person to react was the petite white-haired girl.
"…."
As it approached them, Koneko, using the Rook's strength and martial arts training, prepared herself for a punch. She launched a strong punch, enhanced by Ki, resulting in an impact that knocked the tree hand backward. It was almost uprooted from the ground because of the force behind it, but Kuroka manipulated it so that it was whipped back around toward Kensei.
"Well, let's see how much Haki works against this."
Kensei said to himself, causing Kuroka to wonder what that meant.
For a long time, Kensei thought about inventing something more unique and potentially surpassing that already effective technique. And that ideal led him to create Haki. If Touki was about shrouding one in Ki, in other words, the external manifestation of their life force, then Haki would be the opposite, focused on inner flow. Instead of shrouding oneself in Ki, it would be channeled throughout oneself without leaking out. As Ki wouldn't be released or dispersed outside, Haki becomes the most optimum and efficient means of strengthening oneself in all aspects related to the body without wasting Ki.
"…whoa."
Kuroka was surprised as Kensei stopped the tree from being swung into him with a single hand, having Haki focused there. He didn't even move one inch as a tree was aimed straight at him, his stance remained firm as if he were planted into the ground.
"And, here comes the flames."
From his hands, they were enshrouded in flames, causing the entire tree to be engulfed in flames, soon being turned to ashes. Before such a thing happened, Kuroka leaped off of the tree branch, smiling after witnessing such a show of power from Kensei. As she landed on the ground, Koneko rushed straight for her older sister with her arms raised. Just as she aimed a punch straight into Kuroka's abdomen, 'she' faded, almost as if she wasn't there.
Realizing it was an illusion, Koneko's cat ears started twitching as she sensed the Ki in the area, then turned in the direction where her sister was. No hesitating, she uprooted a tree from out of the ground and threw it in the same direction as Kuroka.
"Kya, Shirone is tossing a tree at her dear Onee-sama. Nyan~"
Kuroka feigned concern, as she then leaped over the tossed tree without much concern. She then looked to find Koneko rushing straight at her and started unleashing a barrage of punches. But, it looked as if Kuroka could handle herself well enough against the attacks. Despite this, Kuroka kept looking as if she was having the time of her life, however, Kensei could see that Koneko almost looked genuinely happy.
"Shirone, Onee-sama is quite impressed that you managed to learn and use Senjutsu this much without losing yourself. But, I doubt that you're ready to learn Youjutsu yet."
"…I'll learn it. I'll become stronger without losing myself like you!"
Koneko declared releasing a strong punch that blow off a tree from the trunk, unleashing a punch without it being reeled back much.
"…."
It seemed as if Koneko's words touched a faint nerve in Kuroka, but she quickly returned to her usual look.
"Well, if you want to call yourself a Nekoshou, then this is an ability that you'd need to learn."
Kuroka stated, as she called forth black-flamed Kasha around her hands, then released them straight at her younger sister. At that range, Koneko could avoid them using the footwork she learned from Kensei despite how close they were, all while wearing a dress. She then noticed that something wrapped around her right arm and leg, realizing that it was a vine that Kuroka took control of.
"Sorry, Shirone, but Onee-sama still wants to test out your teacher boyfriend~"
"K-Ken-sensei isn't my…."
Koneko looked genuinely flustered, but couldn't finish as she was pulled in another direction.
Kuroka, then turned her sights towards Kensei, as Koneko kept being ensnared in vines, even as she tore off some of them. He stood there, having placed a hand on Kurogane, which now rested comfortably at his side and seemed to be itching to be released.
"Well, I didn't think that I'd meet someone who trained my adorable imouto in Senjutsu. And that someone happens to be such a handsome and talented young man with the blood of a Dragon," Kuroka said, finding herself licking her fingers seductively. "Onee-sama wouldn't mind giving you a present."
"I don't mind you trying to seduce me. But, I'm just letting you know, I have five fiancèes, with two pending right now. Three of them happen to be Youkai, one of them being a Nekoshou."
"Well, where have you been in my life," Kuroka uttered under her breath, surprised to hear that a Nekoshou was among his apparent harem. "I hope that you don't mind that Shirone's Onee-sama tests her potential suitor."
"I understand. I'd do the same thing if someone approached my sister."
"Okay~"
At that, Kuroka summoned a multitude of black-flamed Kasha and demonic power bullets, unleashing them straight at Kensei. Neither of them were weak attacks, some of them were strong enough to wound a High-Class Devil. From there, he thought about wanting to handle them a bit longer without using Kurogane in an attempt at following along with Kuroka's test.
He then began avoiding the Kasha and demonic blasts, while remaining in the same position, avoiding them with the barest amount of movements, without notable exertion. Kensei was making both flexible and fluid motions that made it almost as if he were an Eastern Dragon, with a serpentine body. Amid that, he turned his attention over toward Issei and Rias versus Bikou.
"Hmm, it looks as if Ise ran into a slight snag," Kensei stated, sensing that Issei was kneeling on the ground in pain as the Boosted Gear wasn't activating. "It looks as if his training provided the results that Azazel had intended, but it happened at the worst time. It seems to be in a state where it could either result in a boost in power or Balance Breaker."
Despite not being the most focused on the battle, Kensei could still avoid the attacks without much issue, it still looked as if Kuroka was testing him though. Just as he'd turned around to knock back a demonic bullet, there was something that caught Kensei's attention.
"…Please do it quickly! I-It's embarrassing…!"
He instinctively turned around to find that Rias undid the top of her dress, unveiling her abundant breasts, something which caused the battlefield to pause.
"What are you doing?"
Kensei asked, turning his attention over toward Issei with a deadpan look.
"Kensei! Please support me while I poke Buchou's nipples!"
"If this is going in the direction that I think that it's going, then do it before Rias dies from embarrassment," Kensei pointed out, slapping his face while covering it. "Ugh, you did this in front of another man too. I feel as if Tannin is going to feel ashamed that poking breasts let you achieve Balance Breaker instead of simply training with the Dragon King himself."
"Hey, Bikou! Is that some kind of strategy? Rias Gremory revealed her breasts and intends to do something with the Sekiryuutei."
"Don't ask me! The thought process of the Sekiryuutei is in a different dimension from us, you know!"
Kuroka and Bikou seemed surprised and confused about what was happening right there in front of them, a cold presence could be felt from somewhere. Kensei then looked to find that Koneko, who freed herself just a moment ago was wearing at Issei with a deadpan and severe look. It was a known fact that Koneko wasn't a fan of the perverted things that the Pawn did from time to time, to the point of not being afraid of even vocalizing that despite being the silent type.
"Kensei! I have a serious problem!"
"I swear if you ask me…."
"The right breast or the left breast! Which should I poke first!?"
At Issei asking Kensei that question, the swordsman groaned and glanced right into the air. He then retrieved Kurogane from the sheath, while wrapped in spiritual power that seemed almost too dense for a Human. It then burst forth as it mixed with Ki, producing greater power. Kuroka and Bikou almost flinched as they felt the presence of a Dragon from it. As Kurogane was raised in the air, he swung it downward, unleashing a slash, accompanied by a black flash, that kept on traveling until it split Kuroka's spatial barrier in half; but then proceed forward until it split a distant mountain in half.
It was yet another application of Haki, discovered when facing off the Tsukumogami born from the training doll modeled after Itsuki Amagiri. As Ki and Spiritual power originates from the same source, the soul, if the two are merged into one, it generates much greater power than either alone.
"…?"
"…?"
"…?"
"…?"
"…badass."
Kuroka, Bikou, Issei, and Rias looked surprised about what just happened in front of them, whereas Koneko looked to have found it epic.
"Sorry, just needed to let that out," Kensei said, almost as if he used that moment to exert some aggression right then and there. "Now, what was I going to say? Oh, right. I was going to the same advice my mom may say to someone."
"…what would that be?"
"Oh, it was," Kensei, in response to the question that Issei was giving him right then and there. "Get this shit over with before I kick you in the dick!"
"…."
Issei immediately reacted, then poked both of Rias' nipples almost out of reflex. Despite the fear that built up within him, it was almost immediately forgotten as his fingers dug straight into Rias' breasts from their nipples. It was then that he experienced an elastic and soft sensation originating from the crimson-haired young woman's mounds.
"…Iyan."
Rias moaned.
And in that instance, Issei felt as if he experienced the "beginning of the universe".
[You attained it. You managed to attain it!]
Kensei could hear that Ddraig was laughing, but it sounded almost as if the Red Dragon was suffering.
[Welsh Dragon Balance Breaker!]
From the Boosted Gear, a new announcement sounded as a red aura covered Issei's entire body, then took shape as a familiar Red Dragon Armor, the infamous Scale Mail. Despite the methods, Kensei couldn't deny Issei was wrapped in a strong dragon aura, something that reminded him that he was the Sekiryuutei.
"You're the Worst Kind of Sekiryuutei."
Koneko called out, as Issei experienced words that bypassed the armor and struck his heart.
"Such an adorable savage."
Kensei said something that caused Koneko to almost look more flustered than usual as she glanced right to the side.
"Balance Breaker, Boosted Gear Scale Mail! It's been achieved here by poking my master's breasts!"
Issei declared while Rias looked flustered about the method.
Based on the conversation between Issei and Ddraig, the Balance Breaker state could be maintained for 30 minutes in a normal state. If he used things like [Boost] and [Transfer] without limit, then the time would be decreased much more. It was then that Ddraig urged Issei to test it out, extending a hand straight that the current Monkey King, then unleashing a mass of red aura straight at him. It was much larger than any kind of Dragon Shot that he unleashed thus far. Bikou, of course, avoided it, but it kept going until it erased one of the mountains that it made contact with.
"Ahahahaha," Bikou started laughing after that attack was unveiled. "That's more like it! Extend!"
He pointed Ruyi Bang straight at Issei, causing it to extend straight towards him, something that resulted in the armor-clad Pawn reeling back his fist. A shockwave was produced as the staff and fist collided against one another, with Bikou smiling widely. Both their attacks kept colliding against one another several times, a shockwave was produced from each clash.
"Looks like I can tell Vali that his rival isn't as weak as he was the last time the two fought!"
Bikou stated, as he hovered above the ground using the golden cloud, even spinning around on top of it, as his staff rested on his shoulders.
"Alright, bring it on ya damn monkey!"
Issei declared with more vigor.
"Nyan, alright, I can accept that Shirone chose herself a good teacher and man to be around," Kuroka said, with Koneko blushing at the comment while standing right beside Kensei. "Now, I wonder if I could end up being included as the third Nekoshou."
"You are forward, aren't you," Kensei asked, as Kuroka found herself laughing to herself, in a manner that was common for a cat. "So, since I ended up passing the test. You wouldn't mind having a casual talk?"
"Hm, well, I'd consider it. But, it looks as if the princess' familiar left to contact allies. And the former Dragon King is coming too."
Kuroka stated, causing Kensei to realize that the two could tell that Rias sent out her bat familiar to head to the party to call for help.
He was curious about the true reason that Kuroka was labeled as a rogue Devil, realizing that it had nothing to do with falling into the darker path of Senjutsu. Based on the common experience that a reincarnated Devil would experience regarding being forced into an unfair deal, Kensei could come up with an answer.
"…I don't let what Ken-sensei taught me to go to waste."
Koneko said in a strong tone, as the aura surrounding her arms seemed to get stronger.
Just as the group was preparing to move again, there was an abrupt interruption, caused by the fact that a tear in space appeared in between them. A sword's tip could be seen ticking outside it, then it tore open the space as if a path was being opened. Coming outside of the spatial tear was a spectacle blonde-haired young man in a professional suit. In his hands was a remarkable-looking sword worthy of a King, unleashing a powerful holy aura.
"…hm?"
Its presence was enough to cause Kurogane to shutter from its presence, something which caused Kensei to look forward. To him, it could have been that it was feeling almost intimidated by the holy sword, but the feeling was one of exhilaration too.
"That's far enough, Bikou, Kuroka. The Devils have noticed."
The blonde-haired young man called out, speaking in a respectful and honest tone.
"Aren't you Vali's attendant," Bikou asked, still sitting down on the golden cloud, then turned a glance over in the young man's direction. "So, why are you here?"
"Because Kuroka was being slow, I came to see what was happening," the young man replied, then sighed as he looked at Bikou too. "And even you ended up here. Geez, what are you two doing?"
"Oi, who're you?!"
Issei called out, preparing to fight the young man too despite the fear welling up within him from the sword.
"I wouldn't try that if I were you. Unless you want to lose an arm," Kensei called out, staring straight at Issei with a casual look. "A sword that can tear apart space and dimensions. If I'm not mistaken, then that must be the Holy King Sword, Collbrande, otherwise called Caliburn. It's the Strongest Holy Sword in existence. If you, who just awakened Balance Breaker tried facing him, then it could cleave through the armor and your arm would vanish. But, I didn't think that Vali would get a descendant of King Arthur on his side too. And I'm seeing another one on your back. I'm guessing that's the seventh piece of Excalibur, Excalibur Ruler."
"It seems as if you're well-versed in holy swords and my ancestor too. I recently found Excalibur Ruler due to Vali's aid," he stated, then bowed his head. "My name is Arthur Pendragon."
"To be talking like that, you're pretty calm, aren't you?"
Kuroka stated.
"Yes, the truth is that I'm interested in the young man here and their comrades here. Sekiryuutei-dono can you give my greeting to the Holy-Demonic Sword and the Durandal users? I heard that the Kensei Amagiri is a prominent swordsman and about Maria too," Arthur stated, sending a friendly tone, making it impossible to see him as a terrorist. "I'd like to face them some time as fellow swordsmen, you know?"
"Sure thing," Kensei called out, waving his hand. "I wouldn't mind a fight against the holder of the Holy King Sword and a descendant of King Arthur."
"But, more than a battle. Would you please give my regard to Maria Lancelot," at that, Arthur could hear a genuine and familiar tone from him. "Goodbye, Kensei-dono, Sekiryuutei."
At that, Kuroka and Bikou started heading inside the tear left behind by Arthur with Caliburn, albeit both Youkai weren't satisfied with the outcome. Both of them even started getting into an argument, almost as if the two wanted to place blame.
"Well, whatever, I hope to get to know my future brother-in-law in the future," Kuroka said, waving her hand friendly at Kensei, while Koneko blushed at the comment. "And I'll see if I can make him my baby daddy."
"Wow, she truly is blunt. But, I like that kind of woman."
Kensei stated, crossing his arms, while Issei looked at him with some jealousy behind the mask.
"So, damn jealous. But, this guy is damn cool too."
Issei thought in his head, being half-jealous, while impressed at the same time.
Seeing at the battle ended, Issei caused his Scale Mail to vanish from sight, then let a calm breath out of his mouth. Rias then approached him wearing a complex, but glad smile nonetheless from about what Issei had managed to achieve during this battle.
"Ise, I'm happy that you managed to achieve Balance Breaker," Rias first thanked him. "But, I also feel as if I won't be able to live this one down. Was there truly no other way for that."
"Don't be worried Buchou, it was a worthwhile experience for, gah!"
Issei found himself being struck in the side by Koneko, causing some blood to escape from his mouth as he landed on the ground in more pain than before.
"…you're a lewd Dragon."
Koneko said, glancing to the side away from the downed Sekiryuutei.
Kensei stood there, sensing the approach of the people from Rias' peerage, Tannin, and the Kibou Alliance, something which would no doubt end the party.
"Well, looks as if Sirzechs and the others are going to be preoccupied with all this mess. An SS-Class Rogue Devil and Sun-sensei's descendant appeared too," Kensei said, crossing his arms while titling them back and forth. "And there's the fact that Arthur could even travel to and from the Underworld whenever he wants to."
"Uh, Ken-sensei?"
"Yes, Koneko?"
Kensei looked to find Koneko standing there, almost fidgeting around in the same position, messing around with the hems of her dress.
"…I just wanted to thank you for giving me the courage to face Kuroka-neesama. If it wasn't because of you telling me those things, then I wouldn't have been able to challenge her. I went through a lot because of the thing that Kuroka-neesama did, to where I couldn't even accept who I was. But, because of you and Hisui-san, I learned to accept the person I am," Koneko said, feeling as if tears streamed down her face, while the emotions built up from the incident came to the surface. "After this, I feel as if I could become stronger as a Nekoshou and become a real one. I can become stronger as a martial artist too."
"Geez, if you tell me something like that with that look, then it'll make me all emotional. As long as you need me, then I'll be there to act as a teacher as much as possible," Kensei had replied, scratching the side of his cheek, then knelt to brush aside the tears that formed right at the corners of Koneko's eyes. "Though, I have to admit that Shirone is as cute as a name as Koneko."
"…r-really," Koneko looked flustered about hearing such a thing, having been called by the name she chose to use instead of her old one. She hasn't even heard her old name being called by someone aside from her older sister, which is something that she got used to. Hearing someone else calling her by Shirone, more so by Kensei was a new experience. "…could you call me by my name? My old, no my real name."
"Shirone."
Kensei had no reason to deny that request.
Hearing her real name being called like that, almost caused Koneko's ears and body to shutter,
"…I wouldn't mind you calling me by that name. I mean, at least not in front of normal people who know me as Koneko Toujou."
"Sure thing, it'd be an honor, Shirone."
At that, Kensei began petting Koneko on top of her head, brushing against her cat ears, something causing a bright and emotional smile to appear on the white-haired girl's face. Witnessing such a thing caused Rias to wear a bright smile as Koneko looked to be genuinely happy and confident after facing her older sister.
"Well, this incident was an eye-opener too," Kensei thought as he thought back to the interaction between Koneko and Kuroka. Koneko was frightened of her sister, while Kuroka looked almost genuine regarding the things she said to her younger sister. "Kuroka isn't even corrupted in the slightest. So, whatever had happened between her and her former master, it had nothing to do with losing control. Well, whatever it is, the incident might've messed up the relationship between these sisters."
A/N: And there goes the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, I'm sure that this was one that a lot of people were looking forward to. First things first, it started with the Maou-sponsored party, which the Kibou Alliance was invited to. Of course, things didn't end there, it was the official intro of Kuroka, who immediately took a liking to Kensei. Differing from before, Koneko fought her sister to some extent, with Kensei immediately noticing a contradiction in the stories he heard. In this, he revealed the new technique that he created, Haki. There was a surprise from Bikou, who found out a disciple of Sun Wukong was in front of him.
In the end, Koneko looked to be comfortable enough to let Kensei call her by her real name: Shirone. Well, the next chapter is going to be the Rating Game, then afterward it's going to be the very last chapter of the volume.
I hope that you liked the chapter, until next time.
