Welcome to the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, but before starting. Let's answer some reviews:

altajir95: Thanks. No doubt, one group fought in Okinawa, whereas the other fought in Urakyoto against both the modified Youkai and Daiyoukai. Abigail fights for the first time and everyone sees that she's close to a Seraphim in strength. Alice's new monsters are becoming more 'monstrous' compared to before. I did think that'd be a good Sub-Species ability for Maria's Blade Blacksmith, making swords and armor/garments, in addition to having a bond with Fairies due to her lineage. Lingqi is showing more of her power in Balance Breaker, which even knocked back an Omukade. As always Zane is showing the reason that he was promoted second to Kensei, with his insane inventions, tactical mind, and firepower. Kunou shows off the reason she is the future Queen of the Kyoto Faction.

Yeah, Kensei does have to be flashy from time to time, with the Umibouzu escaping through the shadows used by Yami. In the end, Kensei and Yasaka are an officially engaged couple.

The Summer Concert

In Yami, Kazuo returned to his workshop after the incident, with the three Youkai brought along with him waiting at his side and functioning as his aids. As a doctor, he looked at the injuries caused by the modified Youkai, with a sigh escaping from his mouth. In the room, there were the dim lights from the cultivation tanks where the Mazoku were all contained.

"You know, I don't know if you're smart or plain arrogant."

Kazuo called out, knowing that Arata entered the room.

"Well, that's quite a thing to say."

"I told you that the Youkai and four Daiyoukai weren't prepared to be sent out yet. Sure, they're strong enough to be a threat to average opponents, but these people aren't at all average. And returned from training, even if you did note the fact that Yasaka wasn't at Urakyoto and not at one-hundred percent strength at Okinawa," Kazuo listed out the reasons as Arata entered the room. "And look at what the boy you hate so much did to you."

As Kazuo pointed out, Arata's arm was damaged from the last attack that Kensei unleashed into the shadow that linked around to penetrate the source it.

"Nothing that you or a Phoenix Tear would heal."

"Well, you'll need to get a Phoenix Tear. I need to finish healing up the Youkai."

Kazuo stated, waving Arata off with an in-compassionate face.

"Wow, what a wonderful doctor, mistreating a patient."

"And what a terrible leader, not using common sense."

Kazuo countered Arata's sarcastic response.

"Can't blame me for wanting to see where the Youkai were in terms of development. Besides, we got a good hint into seeing what to improve and what not to improve."

"The information and combat data gathered from your previous confrontation would've been enough. Besides, it'll be more troublesome for me, seeing as you want me to enhance the soldiers and make adjustments to the high-ranking Scourge. Especially those men who ate dragon flesh and blood, in particular, that warlord."

"Ah, they are a real good addition into the fold for consuming the flesh of the Strongest Lightning Dragons."

"He's as arrogant as you. He boats about killing Shanlong by aggravating him with the death of two younger Dragon, then wrapping him in Dragon-Slaying chains as they fought could be called 'honorable'."

"Well, a win's a win. It's Shanlong's fault for not doing what a Dragon does."

Arata stated wearing a calm smile without showing much reaction.

"Well, can you let me do what I'm supposed to do?"

"Fine, so how was meeting your wife after all that time?"

"About as much as you'd expect."

Kazuo replied, finding himself focusing on what he would be doing with the other Youkai that were damaged by the battle against the Omukade and three Umibouzu.

"Well, would you want me to do something about it? I am a leader who does whatever it takes to ensure that his men are taken care of. I doubt that it'll be good to imagine someone else with your wife."

Arata stated in a foreboding tone.

"That's unnecessary. I was the one who left, so I have no right to comment."

"Oh, what a thoughtful doctor. I do hope that…."

"Can you please leave? Your threats don't work on me, so could this not become a thing? I'm aware that you'll never kill or touch me until you have the Ultimate Body, you can't do anything. If I'm unable to complete it, then it'll simply enrage your Benefactor," Kazuo stated, wearing a calm look as he turned to Arata, as the two stared one another down. "Besides, are you willing to take the chance of me messing around with your internal organs in a way that wouldn't be positive?"

Both Arata and Kazuo continued staring one another down with a dense atmosphere between them before a laugh escaped from the Ordinal 1's mouth.

"Alright, alright, it's fine. Well, I'll leave it to you."

Arata stated wearing a smile, with Kazuo watching as he left with almost a new sense of irritation.

"But, Doctor Enomoto are you fine? Didn't hearing your daughter's response hurt?"

The Lion Youkai asked.

"Hm, it's fine, Shishi. I expected such a thing, besides as I said before, I was expecting such a thing from her. I'm content that she's with someone like Kensei. He's a good person for Kunou," Kazuo stated, with a content smile. "I'm glad that she didn't turn out like me, the only thing she needs from me if my talents. I'm someone who was never deserving to be a father. Now, mind helping me work on the damaged Youkai?"

[Of course!]

After that, instead of focusing on anything else, Kazuo put his attention into working on all the damaged Youkai from the previous battle. His concerns aimed towards Yasaka and Kunou started fading from his mind as his fingers worked on the project in front of him. He didn't need to be concerned about them anymore, because as much as it seemed cold, there was someone better in their lives.

Back in Okinawa, the newly engaged couple decided to relish their final day there before returning home later in the afternoon. Of course, it would have been odd to find a teenager and an adult together instead of the teenage girl that the people saw before. But, it was a simple task to alter their perception to make this situation in front of the normal Humans wasn't odd. Of course, there was some issue with the storm that seemed to come and go in just a matter of moments, but it wasn't something that remained in their minds long.

During the final day, Kensei and Yasaka went around the locations that the two planned on before things went to a massive battle on the Queen's vacation. But, it seemed as if the situation didn't remain in Yasaka's mind, more so as she was more focused on the fact that she was now an engaged woman. It almost felt like a dream come true for Yasaka who became engaged to someone like Kensei.

After spending most of their remaining time outside, of course, there was something that the couple wanted to do indoors without interruption.

Lemon Star!

It all started with them entering the bathroom to clean off the sweat and dirt accumulating from the morning, and then after some time of washing off one another with soap and remaining close and naked. It progressed to, of course—

"Nnn, ahh."

Yasaka found herself moaning as she was in a kissing session with Kensei, this time being more passionate than before. It was caused by the emotions that rose from the surface, the strongest being happiness as she wore a ring on her finger after so much time since Kazuo. Her arms were wrapped around him with neither not being far from one another during this. But, during this, Kensei placed his hand on Yasaka's soft ass, with his fingers all but digging into the flesh.

"Ngh, aaah."

Yasaka moaned and stopped as she felt her ass being forcibly kneaded, with that giving enough time for Kensei to start winning in the kissing session. Being a mature woman, she never let him maintain the lead for long and wanted to show off. But, this time around, Yasaka wanted to be the one who was showered in love, which is something that Kensei wanted to do more than ever.

Their wet and naked bodies remained close to one another, with Yasaka breathing hotly as she felt his hardened member being pressed against her. It was pressed against her stomach and rubbing against her wet snatch, she wanted it and the burning desire was almost overwhelming her mind.

Just as their tongues wrapped around one another, Yasaka's hand wrapped around the girth as she then started to run her hand across it.

"Nnn."

Kensei moaned at the increasing touch.

Yasaka expertly moved and motioned her hand across it, with the hands and fingers tracing across the length as if she were completely knowledgeable of it. In all that, their tongues never stopped wrestling with one another as the pleasure and anticipation increased more and more.

"Ah, I can't wait anymore."

Yasaka breathed as she stopped kissing Kensei, then found kneeling down and with no hesitation wrapped her lips around his member. Without hesitation, her mouth and tongue started doing their job on him, with Kensei unable to contain his moans from the actions. There wasn't the slightest hesitation in her motions, it looked as if she had reached her breaking point. Placing his hands on the back of her head, Kensei started thrusting his hips forward as his hardened member entered and exited Kyuubi's mouth without hesitation.

Both of them wanted one another with a strong passion, after removing himself from her mouth, Yasaka stood up without needing to hear a single word from him. She then moved to place on hands on the wall, as she positioned her hips in front of Kensei. Not hesitating, he positioned himself at her entrance, with his member rubbing against her entrance, then—

"Gah, haaaah!"

Yasaka moaned and gasped as Kensei inserted himself into her without hesitation. It was a symbolic moment, as after returning to being a teenager, he took her first time, and then as an adult, it had been a long time since she experienced the touch of a man. Her inner walls tightened around Kensei's member, which remained in place as he didn't move himself yet. It was then that she felt a warmness that could simply originate from the Ki that was caused by using Bouchujutsu.

After that, he proceeded to thrust his hips forward with force and speed, causing his dick to enter in and out in a rapid motion. Yasaka moaned as she felt this new experience in her adult form, being a little more sensitive to it, as her moans seemed to echo in the bathroom. The slapping sounds originating from their flesh slamming into one another in rapid succession could be heard on top of the moans.

During this, Kensei had a firm grasp of Yasaka's hips causing her to remain in place, changing the rhythm and force behind each thrust. Her eyes became hazy from the different thrusts from the pace, speed, and force, with the final having the best of three.

"Hah!"

Yasaka gave a sharp gasp from that one, as she seemed to climax. After that, she started breathing more it, as Kensei stopped for a moment as to let the woman catch her bearings.

"Are you fine, Yasaka?"

Kensei asked leaning forward, but then felt her tightening up around him.

"Hah, I'm fine. Just continue as you please," Yasaka replied, then found herself grabbing onto his hand, bringing it to her mouth as she slipped a finger her her mouth with sparkling gold eyes. "Darling~"

"Alright, then."

Kensei replied smiling, then gave a strong thrust forward.

"Kyaa!"

Yasaka smiled as she smiled and continued to suck on and lick Kensei's finger without much thought.

As he thrust into Yasaka much more than before, he channeled Ki into Yasaka through the finger she sucked on as her tongue circled it. At the same time, his free was preoccupied with touching her sensitive spots as her Ki was touched and spread throughout her as an aura surrounding them. After Yasaka released his finger, she had both hands around her enormous breasts unrivaled in elasticity, softness, tension, glossiness, and smoothness, with his fingers being buried in them.

"Haah!"

Yasaka moaned as her breasts were being massaged and Kensei continued thrusting into her, feeling herself close to another climax. It was apparent as he could feel herself tighten around him, and she practically felt him twitching in her. And that continued until the two found themselves getting closer and closer towards that one moment.

"Haaaaah!"

"Kuh!"

Yasaka moaned and Kensei grunted, with him reaching the deepest parts of the woman's womb, then unloading an abundance of cum straight into her. The two remained in contact with one another as he emptied himself into his new fiancèe. After removing himself, the thick and plentiful cum that entered her soon started seeping out of her as a heated breath escaped from her mouth.

"Aw, if this continues happening, then I wouldn't be able to bear your child," Yasaka stated, as she placed a hand at her entrance as the cum seeped on her hand, then licked it up. Her eyes were shining as golden hearts could be seen in them, with the woman being in a lustful yet honest state. "I'm not a teen, rather I'm a mature woman who's fully capable and willing of bearing a child."

"Yeah, but let's do that after dealing with these Yami assholes."

Kensei stated, knowing full well that Yasaka had no trouble with bearing a child and he had no real issue either. But, strong or not, Yasaka would be more vulnerable pregnant and with a child, something that Arata was shallow enough to take full advantage of.

"Alright, then you're right about that," Yasaka stated, wearing a smile but then recalled something then wore a hot smile on her face. "Speaking of which, remind me what I mentioned before when I was a teen?"

After that, Yasaka turned around, this time placing her hands on her ass, and spread herself open for Kensei with a seductive smile. He had no hint of an issue with that as he approached Yasaka again, wearing a smile as he sent Ki right at his dick. After that, he found himself pressing up against her other entrance, with Yasaka groaning a bit from the new feeling. Kensei kept pushing forward with the fact that he was using Ki made the insertion easier as he reached deeper and deeper into her.

"Kuh."

Yasaka's eyes almost rolled back from the new sensation.

Similar to using Bouchujutsu to make the pain fade for those having their first time, this made the first experience with anal almost none painful. It was a new experience for them, with Kensei nothing more than their usual vaginal sex, this was tightened around him, still being sensitive enough that he'd climax again. After calming himself with Ki flowing through him, Kensei placed a hand at Yasaka's waist and then started moving again.

"Ah!"

Yasaka moaned as Kensei started moving at a slower pace with this being a new experience for her, unlike that of the normal experience. It was easier due to Bouchujutsu, but steadily it was becoming easier and easier with it soon turning into another pleasure. Sensing that being the case, Kensei's actions started becoming quicker and with force behind them. Her face was becoming distorted in pleasure as the tightening around his member was becoming all but apparent and constant.

"Yes, this feels so good! I haven't felt anything like this before, but it feels amazing!"

Yasaka moaned as a smile formed on her face.

"Hah, I wonder if a Queen should be acting like this."

Smack!

"Kuh!"

Yasaka moaned as Kensei smacked her ass, there wasn't much force behind it, but it was enough to spark some reaction out of it. He removed himself before thrusting in with Yasaka throwing her head back from the pleasure, the golden hearts in her eyes could be seen in greater detail.

"I liked you as a teenager, it was a different experience learning about you as a teenager. And having sex with a Gyaru Kyuubi was quite something. But, do you want to know something?"

Kensei asked, placing a hand on her cheek and then leaning forward with their heads close to each other.

"Huh?"

Yasaka asked, likely that was simply the sole words she could manage.

"I wanted nothing more than to have sex with you like this."

"Eh, mph?"

Yasaka was surprised as Kensei proceeded to kiss her, with their tongues pressing against each other.

His movements didn't stop there he continued pushing and removing himself from Yasaka, with her moans never stopping. After separating from each other, there was a thread of saliva that still linked their tongues had broken apart.

"A mature and wonderful woman that anyone would be lucky to talk to," Kensei's words almost felt like honey to her, as her heart seemed to beat. "A mature beauty with a body that any woman would be jealous us, bearing an intellect and compassion that makes you the ideal woman."

"Hah, Kensei if you say something like that to me, then I'll…."

Hearing those words was alone to make Yasaka almost climax, combined with the continued motion that he had not stopped.

"It's fine."

Kensei stated, whispering in Yasaka's fox ears, placing his hand at her breasts, pinching her nipples while giving a final thrust into her ass.

"Haaaaaah!"

Yasaka moaned as her eyes rolled back with the light shining from them, gleaming with the auras surrounding the two mixed. At the same time, Yasaka climaxed again, with Kensei filling her other entrance with another plentiful amount of cum, before removing himself from her. Unable to keep herself up, Yasaka fell on her knees, with Kensei ensuring it wasn't a hard fall.

"Hah, hah, hah."

Yasaka breathed as she felt her lover's cum coming from her two entrances a heated breath came from her mouth, almost feeling as if she received more than she ever could've hoped. Kneeling, he found himself right in front of her. After a moment, the two kissed again with their arms wrapping around one another, having a good feeling running through them.

After that the two spent a long time bathing in the shower together, relishing the time the two spent together as a couple. It was the same time that the two needed to return to their home.

At Urakyoto, Yasaka and Kensei returned to the mansion, causing them to find that it was silent without a single person there. It was, of course, the first location was Urakyoto, with the Kyuubi Queen wanting to relieve Kunou of her duties. Upon their way there, there was a collection of Youkai who greeted Yasaka and congratulated her and him on the engagement.

But, they were expecting to find the Kyuubi Princess leaping at them, but there wasn't one person there. And then after reaching her office, where Yasaka thought that the people would be gathered, there was a big surprise prepared for them.

[Surprise!]

In front of them, the members of the Sword Team, on top of those from the Grimoire Unit, Lancelot Team, Jade Team, and Cherub Unit standing there, alongside Yasaka's attendants. Noticing such a thing and a banner put up congratulating the engagement, the Kyuubi Queen looked on flushed about the celebration prepared.

"Thank you for this."

Yasaka stated, smiling as she bowed her head.

"Hahaue!"

As the Kyuubi Queen was expecting her daughter arrived and wrapped her arms around her mouth in one loving embrace. And the mother smiled and wrapped her arms around her daughter wearing a smile on her face, being the happiest to see her daughter.

"Yasaka-sama, I would like to formally congratulate yours and Kensei-sama's union, the Old Tengu approached and bowed to Yasaka alongside the other attendants. "And, of course, your daughter, Kunou-sama has done an exemplary job as the temporary Queen. I don't doubt that she would be an amazing Queen in the future."

"Hm, I don't doubt that, I know that Kunou shows the most promise as a Queen."

Yasaka stated, rubbing her daughter's head with a smile.

"Well, I wasn't surprised when we heard that Kensei popped the question with Yasaka."

Zane said, wearing a smile as he looked happy for them.

"Well, that's another addition to the ever-growing family of ours."

Claire added.

"Yeah," Kensei replied. "So, let's start this party shall we?!"

At that announcement, the people there agreed with those words as the attendants brought out a collection of the food and drinks that had been prepared for the celebration. It was a celebration of Kensei's and Yasaka's union, with the people gathered there being among their closest allies and friends. Yet another celebration that showed the closeness between them, something that made the Kyuubi Queen feel the love that people shared for her.

As such, the celebration of the engagement continued for almost hours on end, with more Youkai coming in to give their congratulations. The different people, Humans, Devil, Angels, Youkai, and Dark Elf ate and laughed together without the difference in species mattering to those standing around together. From evening to night, not a single person there found themselves paying attention to the time and simply enjoyed themselves.

Later that night, the people from Kibou Town remained in the mansion for the night as permission from Yasaka, who showed gratitude for them protecting Urakyoto in her place. For a long time, the Kibou Alliance has aided Urakyoto by building up their defenses. Kensei found himself sleeping in the private quarters of Yasaka, the young man was lying back in the bed. He wasn't dressed in anything aside from pants.

"Eh, it feels real odd," Kensei stated, wearing a wry smile. "We're not even officially married yet, and those guys are treating me like the King."

Kensei thought back to the celebration with the Elder Tengu and Yasaka's other attendants treating him almost as if he were the actual King. It was an odd feeling for him, and, of course, his friends and other fiancèes laughed about it, even referring to him in the same manner. And that made the situation all the more complicated, seeing as he wasn't comfortable with being referred to as a King.

"I'm not even the Clan Head yet. Let alone a Grand Master, I'm barely classified as a "True" Master after training in Shiamano over the summer," Kensei said awkwardly. "Hm, speaking of, the Shikigami mentioned that I could get permission from the former Clan Head to take the proper trial to become the official Clan Head. Well, I know of the method to communicate with the dead. And if I did that, then I could talk with my mom too. Eh, I did that, I'll need to prepare myself for the roasting that she'll do. Ugh, aside from being around Yu-Long, I can imagine even where I got my sense of humor from."

As Kensei found himself wondering if he should contact his mother at that time, he sensed a presence entering the room. It wasn't Yasaka, but the presence was similar, meaning that it was on another person whose presence was similar to hers.

"Hey, Kunou."

Kensei stated, sitting himself up with his legs crossed as Kunou appeared there dressed for bed, dressed in a simple white kimono.

"Oh, Ken-chan. Kunou tried being sneaky."

Kunou stated with a disappointed sigh.

"Hm, well, I think that you're better than before. But, I'm just better," Kensei teased with Kunou staring at him with a pout, which he smiled at. "Now now, there's no need to pout. Come here."

"Okay~"

Kunou beamed as she went right beside Kensei sitting next to him, as he placed a comforting right head on top of her head with a smile. The Kyuubi Princess smiled as her ears and tails twitched from the enjoyment that she was feeling in that instance. She found herself having a good time despite how simple it was, with Kensei loving seeing Kunou having fun like this.

"So, did you have a good time being the Queen? And being able to order people around?"

Kensei asked, almost jokingly with that last part.

"Hmm, I did, because I got to know what Hahaue goes through regularly, being the Queen and watching over the Youkai living in Urakyoto. She has to handle and lead the Youkai, ensuring that nothing will cause them harm, on top of looking out to ensure that an incident like the one from yesterday doesn't happen. I never thought about all the things that Hahaue needed to go through to become a Queen from an earlier age," Kunou stated wearing a smile on her face. "And that makes me determined to become a Queen who could ensure that Hahaue could rest and have a break. And I want to build peace between the Youkai so that our people won't have to worry."

Hearing those strong and kind words from Kunou caused Kensei to smile at her, as he brought the Kyuubi in for a hug instead of a head pat. It was something that she wasn't expecting but she accepted it as something that made her heart flutter.

"Of course, that means Ken-chan will have to be the King twice."

Kunou teased, as Kensei looked on wearing a wry smile.

"Ah, right, I guess that I would have to do that."

"Yes, because Kunou and Hahaue belong to Ken-chan. So, if Ken-chan marries Hahaue, then he'll become the King, then when Kunou becomes the Queen, Ken-chan would still be the King."

Kunou explained with an innocent look.

"Eh, still gonna have to get used to that."

Kensei started wearing a smile as he glanced to the side.

"Kunou was surprised when she heard about her father for the first time. I haven't heard much about him, aside from the fact that he left Hahaue and me long after Kunou was born. But, Kunou learned he was the kind of person who gave up his family for achieving his goals. And joined the people who'd attacked Kunou's friends and family in the end. So, that alone made Kunou want nothing to do with him."

Kensei could hear that Kunou was miffed with her father who left her mother and made her feel as if no one gave her the kind of love she desired.

"Kunou is also thinking about meeting her paternal family."

"Hm?"

Kensei looked surprised about that as Kunou continued going on.

"Kunou knows pretty much everything about Hahaue's family but doesn't know much about her father's family. I might not want anything to do with him, but Kunou would want to know more about her other family too. I have nothing against my paternal family, so Kunou should at least meet them."

Kunou replied, showing more invested interest in meeting them, wondering about what their reactions would be to meeting their estranged son's daughter after all this time.

"Well, if you need someone to come with you for emotional support, then me or the others are always open."

"Thanks, but Kunou feels as if this is something that Kunou has to do herself. There are times when either of you isn't going to be there to support those you won't. Isn't that the reason that we're all training to better ourselves so that we can protect ourselves?"

"Yeah, that's true."

Kensei stated.

It was something that reminded him about what Yasaka said over their vacation, about not one person on their team being reliant on one another. Each person is strong on their own and would become stronger when all of them are fighting together. All the members have something that makes them strong, and going through ordeals that'll continue to make them stronger mentally. And this time around, it was Kunou that was getting stronger, from both learning about and accepting the other part of her family.

"Hm, more and more I'm seeing that my daughter is going into a strong-willed girl."

Another voice caught their attention as Yasaka entered the room finding herself dressed for bed too, dressed like Kunou. She walked into the room, then closed the door behind her wearing a beautiful and also casual smile on her face. Entering the room, Yasaka took a seat down in front of her daughter and new lover with the same expression.

"I heard that Kunou plans on meeting her father's family. And I do think that it'll be a good thing for her to learn a lot more about her other relatives too. It'll give Kunou more of a perspective about where she came from," stating that in a motherly and knowledgeable tone. "It also wouldn't be unbelievable for them, seeing as I have met them in the past before you were born. I haven't seen them in a long time, but I don't doubt that they would be unable to recognize their grandchild."

"Hmmm, Kunou will look forward to meeting them. But, Kunou is a little nervous since she hasn't heard about her other family until today."

Kunou stated, looking sheepishly and nervously at the thought of meeting people she hadn't seen or heard of until a couple of days ago.

"Well, I don't doubt that my daughter will do just fine."

Yasaka added, bringing her daughter into a warm hug as their cheeks brushed against one another.

"Alright, Hahaue."

Kunou replied with more renewed vigor.

Kensei looked on, finding himself again smiling at the interaction between the mother and daughter without being able to take his eyes away from the scene.

"Alright, then now Kensei are you hungry?"

Yasaka asked, clapping her hands together.

"Huh? I kinda had my fill at that party."

Kensei replied, surprised about the sudden question.

"Hm, that's sad because Kunou and I prepared something special for our beloved."

Yasaka added, with Kunou nodding her head in agreement.

"Yes, Hahaue and Kunou went through so much trouble to prepare it."

Kunou added with a faux depressed expression.

"Well, if you talk like that, then it'll be hard for me to refuse," Kensei started scratching the top of his head wearing a casual smile. "So, what's this meal?"

After a faint pause, almost as if the two were practicing it, Yasaka and Kunou disrobed revealing their naked bodies to Kensei much to his surprise as he looked on.

""How about some Oyakodon?""

Yasaka and Kunou asked, as the mother and daughter with their nine-tails fluttering about found themselves right in front of Kensei, with them wrapping around him with a warm feeling being spread throughout the trio. After that came about, he found himself smiling as he felt the love that was being sent straight at him.

"Well, that's a meal that I might have to savor."

Kensei replied, as he wrapped one arm around Yasaka and the other around Kunou, both of whom wore a smile on their faces. After that, he found himself slowly savoring the 'Oyakodon' that the mother and daughter made up for him, with their moans spreading throughout the room which the trip made silent so that it didn't spread outside in the halls. And inside that room, Yasaka's and Kunou's eyes shined and glittered gold, as Kensei managed to give the duo equal love and attention, something that continued to make their hearts flutter. If one was outside in the halls, then they would've seen the light of their auras mixing from outside of the room.

During that night, Kensei found himself with the mother and daughter, the Kyuubi Queen and Princess both their arms and tails wrapped around him as the three slept. And it was another personal promise to himself that he'd always ensure that their days would be nothing short of happy as the two desired.

It was the day of the summer festival and the concert which was hosted for Minako Kushihashi, aka Sakura-hime being prepared. The location would be situated in Nagoya, one where Natsumi prepared and ensured that their preparations would be completed beforehand. She always kept in constant contact to ensure that things went on without a hitch. It was something that Minako always appreciated with her mother.

In the car that Minako was in heading to the hotel that was reserved for the festival, she found herself stopping in front of a path leading into the hotel. Behind the barriers, her fans stood there, each one holding signs in all their hands and holding memorabilia produced and sold by the Kibou Alliance. Before Minako could step outside, the door on the other side opened, with a couple of seconds passing before hers opened. Minako was then led out of the car by her new bodyguard, someone prepared for the occasion.

The person who led Minako outside of the car was a white-haired young woman the same height as her, with her hair tied into a ponytail. Most notably she was dressed in a professional black suit that suited her slender yet also athletic build and wearing sunglasses.

"Thank you, Shiro."

Minako thanked 'Shiro', who simply smiled and bowed her head.

"It's a pleasure, Minako-san."

'Shiro' replied.

'Shiro' was, in fact, Koneko, who received her first request from her newest client, Kensei. And that request was acting as Minako's bodyguard for these kinds of events. She changed her appearance with demonic power which improved from training in Shiamano. Koneko chose a form easier to maneuver around in without strain, with this being a new experience for the Nekoshou. Minako was being led into the hotel with her screaming and cheering fans waving their hands and signs.

During this, Minako smiled and waved at the crowd, ensuring that the people would get equal attention so that everyone would get to receive the attention from their favorite, and flourishing idol. After going through the usual procedures, she soon found herself entering the hotel with Koneko using the device from the Kibou Alliance just to check out the hotel room.

"Alright, now that everything is done, you can rest Koneko-chan."

Minako said, sitting on the couch positioned in the room.

Shine!

After that, Koneko returned to her usual height and form as a sigh escaped from her mouth.

"…it's going to take some time getting used to that."

Koneko stated.

It wasn't surprising, as Koneko was a Rook focused on offense instead of using demonic powers like a Bishop. It, of course, didn't mean that she wasn't skilled at using basic abilities, like teleporting to client's residences locations without issues much like their sole Pawn. But, being in Shiamano granted me another experience in knowing what it felt like not feeling the same demonic power. And as much as she seemed to hate it, Koneko learned more about demonic power from Ravel.

"Hm, but I do think that Koneko-chan is trying her hardest too."

Minako stated, wearing a smile.

After that, she sat up from the couch to sit beside Koneko, then placed a comforting hand on her head, causing a smile to form on Nekomata's face. Minako has experience in dealing with Youkai, in particular, Kunou, and that experience lets her know the best places to pet.

"Alright, just a couple of hours before I have to perform. At the ever-so-famous Atsuta Shrine, things should be all but prepared due to my mom. So, I think that an audience in the form of my bodyguard should be appropriate," a playful voice came from Minako, something that felt like a pleasant thing in Koneko's ears. "How about it Koneko-chan? Mind a little intro?"

"Yes."

Koneko replied, with more emotion.

In Shiamano, she heard the voices and songs that Minako would sing from time to time, often right in front of the Shikigami and Tenzoku there. The Tenzoku were the names of the "Humans" created in and live in Shiamano, who much like the Spiritual Beasts adapted to the spiritual power there and obtained unique abilities. But, they'd heard the Tenzoku in much denser areas were much stronger than them, having fought Spiritual Beasts in those areas. And much like them, the Tenzoku there relished in hearing Minako's singing voice.

"Alright, here we go!"

Minako announced with a smile.

After that, she proceeded to practice singing and dancing in the hotel room, causing her sole audience to hear a melodious song from the idol. Koneko was aware that like Akeno, Minako was born into one of the Five Principal Clan, the Kushihashi Clan. Due to that, she learned the traditional songs and dances taught by Shintoism, a feature which she included in her performance.

Being an idol's bodyguard was a change from playing cards and cosplaying, more so if she got to hang out with a famous person who sings and has a good personality. Also, there was something else that Koneko was looking forward to for the summer festival. It was a promise that was made between students and teachers if she performed well in the Youth Tournament's first round.

As the summer festival occurred, the people proceeded to look at the festivities and parades occurring in the day as parents, children, and relatives gathered together to witness it in person. Several Japanese people, all dressed traditionally for the occasion to honor their ancestors, gods, and hope for the future. The civilians were all looking forward to the performance of the upcoming idol, Sakura-hime, someone whose performance aligned with tradition and raised the spirits of those who listened.

From there, enjoyment from the festival and looking forward to the concert being performed by Minako would be a true treat for the continuing event.

As evening came, with the night occurring, the people found themselves at the Atsuta Shrine where there was a wide assortment of people there still dressed for the festival. There were fireworks and performances whether songs, dances, or martial arts performed there. At the concession and gaming stands where different patrons were eating or playing the games. In the distance, some fireworks were being shot into the air and then exploded in a colorful display.

"…hmm~ hmm~"

During this, Koneko found herself in her usual appearance rightly dressed in a white yukata. She wore a really rare look of enjoyment on her face, the reason being that in her left hand, there was a combination of barbecued meat sticks, whereas the right had Dango sticks. If there was anything that Koneko liked, it was eating and trying new meals and snacks. It wasn't the sole reason that Koneko was having a good time.

"Hm, well, this looks like an awesome turnout."

Walking right beside her was Kensei, who was dressed in a blue and white yukata, something which made him more like a dignified person. In his hands was a collection of Takoyaki in a bowl that seemed to be piping hot in front of him, but still plopped one of him in his mouth. He was keeping his previous promise to Koneko to take her out on a date, something which was suggested by her.

"…is it fine that you're here with me instead of Claire-san and the others?"

"Hmm, this isn't the first time that we've gone out to a summer festival. Besides, Claire and the others aren't what you'd call clingy when it comes to me going to places."

Kensei replied much to Koneko's surprise.

"…that's a bit different with Ise-senpai, Buchou, and Akeno-senpai."

Koneko stated, thinking about all the times that those two fought over Issei's attention ever since the incident with Riser Phenex.

"Well, kinda needed to come to an understanding with stuff like this. I mean, if those girls fought over me at this time, then it'd have to be in one of our artificial dimensions. As strong as all of them are, no place inside of the Human World could survive if either of them fights at the same time."

Kensei stated, thinking about his girls fighting for his attention and the amount of destruction that can be caused by the aftermath alone. It was a scary thought for Koneko to think of herself, seeing as she witnessed just how strong either of them was. So, imagining a full-on battle between them might end up being a literal hell on earth in the aftermath alone would be a nightmarish landscape.

"…so, you don't mind being here with me?"

Koneko asked, looking a bit bashful.

"Heh, no need to sound so nervous or timid. I came here because I wanted to go out with Shirone."

"… alright."

Despite sounding causal, Koneko's cheeks were red as she heard those reassuring words and being called her real name by Kensei. She kept eating the barbecued meat in one hand, then eating the dango from the other one wearing a smile. Koneko in this incident was the happiest, being with someone who helped her overcome trauma and accepting herself, while being happy being there with her.

Of course, there were some inadequacies that Koneko still felt about herself, one not mastering what she gained as a Nekoshou. But, there was something else she felt as if she were lacking as a woman, and that was in terms of breasts. And with that in mind, Koneko heard something from Hisui during the training in Shiamano which had caught her attention in mastering Senjutsu.

'Hm, if you're thinking about going into the deeper parts of mastering Senjutsu, then there are some things that will be good to know. Aside from Ki Manipulation and other stuff that'll come afterward, in the end, Senjutsu is a kind of magic closely related to the body. So, on top of learning to manipulate and heal life energy, it's something that can simulate growth and steadily make someone stronger.'

Koneko was focusing on what she learned about Senjutsu from Hisui, but hearing something like 'stimulating' her growth, caught her attention most of all.

"…soon. It'll be my turn next."

Koneko looked determined as she looked forward with strong eyes.

"Hm, you shouldn't be much in a rush though, Shirone. If you grow up too much, then you won't be able to sit on my lap comfortably."

Kensei stated, wearing a kind smile, and guessed what Koneko was thinking about.

"…yes, Ken-sensei."

Koneko agreed, not imagining herself being unable to sit on Kensei's lap. But, she did want to become a more 'developed' woman to further impress Kensei, not that he cared about such a thing.

From there, the two continued going around the summer festival, watching the shows and eating the snacks that were being provided to the people. Of course, some people were surprised that someone like Koneko could eat as much as she did without issues. Kensei smiled as he noticed Koneko staring straight at the goldfish catching game, with the fish seeming to sense its predator's presence. It turned into another training as he instructed her to control her presence so that the goldfish wouldn't notice. In the end, Koneko caught the most goldfish than any person besides her.

During their time around the summer festival, Kensei bought Koneko a cat mask that he placed on her head and a gift that she appreciated. He remembered that Koneko mentioned that she liked collecting cat-related products and accessories as a hobby. Koneko smiled at the action of him placing that cat mask on top of her head as they continued moving through the summer festival.

Of course, it wasn't simply them there, those from the Kibou Alliance, those on his Sword Team, their Numbers, and their teams were at the festival. On top of that those from the Gremory Group themselves were there, with Koneko's bodyguard payment being tickets for them too. As the people relished the festival, the time for the main event arose.

Standing right on the stage, Minako found herself dressed in a pink special-made kimono with cherry blossoms, designed for the occasion wearing a smile on her face. In her hands was a mic which she messed around with in her hands, while smiling.

[Greetings Japanese citizens, foreign visitors, well, everyone that came to see me perform in this wonderful and historic location. Here at the Atsuta Shrine lies an important treasure that represents our country and being able to perform here is an important occasion.]

Minako started, as her voice reached the ears of those listening in.

[Summer festivals are our way of honoring those who came before us, honoring our gods, and hoping for a good future. And so to ensure that everyone here leaves here today with a good feeling of hope and expectations. I'll be giving my all in this performance. So, I hope that it'll be something worth remembering~]

At that announcement, the fans in front of Minako found themselves cheering as the concert being held by their idol, Sakura-hime was starting. In the stand, those secretly close to her, the Kibou Alliance who were endorsing and supporting her, and those from the Gremory Group who were aware of her. After handing off the microphone to and aid, Minako instead activated the custom earpiece on her ear that served the same function, but for more dancing around without causing trouble.

"…."

Minako tapped her feet on the ground as she started moving her upper body around as if she were warming up. And then, with a single more energetic action, the performance started.

"….~"

Her melodious voice spread throughout the crowd as if people could hear the emotion and spirit contained in that voice. Minako sang and danced like that of a Miko performing a ceremony to summon the gods, which matched and mixed well with the song. A mixture of modern and traditional music something which was an ideal choice for the location. Despite not being used in full, the people felt comfortable as spiritual power seemed to rise with a reaction from the shrine.

But, those aware of the supernatural could sense, that it was the reaction in spiritual power as Minako's voice seemed to arouse such phenomena. All of them knew that Minako wasn't using Empyreal Anthem, it was simply the side-effect of her song and dance, bringing and reminding them of the purpose of such ceremonies.

In the distance, watching and listening to the concert for themselves, Amaterasu could be seen dressed for the occasion, wearing a yukata that one would expect from a goddess as important as herself. But, she wasn't alone, there was someone else standing beside her, as the Chief God ate Dango.

"Hm, what a wonderful song and dance. Ah, it's truly things like this that make me smile," Amaterasu stated in a gentle and pleased tone. "It must truly be an experience for you too."

"Yes, Amaterasu-sama. It feels as if I'm watching my daughter perform."

A beautiful almost hypnotic tone came from the woman.

Standing beside Amaterasu was a beautiful woman on par with you, another transcendental beauty, her hair and eyes were like cherry blossoms, no different from that of Minako's. But, the face was different as she looked as if not a single blemish or mark could ever exist on her face. Much like Amaterasu, the woman was dressed in a yukata, but hers was light pink with cherry blossoms designed on it. If it wasn't for the fact that she kept her presence obscure enough no one could tell, but most would believe she's Minako's mother.

She was Konohana Sakuya-hime, the same goddess who afforded to birth to Minako in place of her mother who was incapable of doing so. Konohana had done so due to the final, purest prayer from her father who sacrificed himself for his family. But, in the end, such a wonderful daughter and soul was brought into the world, something that made what she did feel as if it was truly a blessing to the world.

"Such a beautiful song."

Konohana smiled as she listened and relished what she was listening to.

"Hm, being a goddess and listening to such a song is truly a wonderful thing," Amaterasu added. "You've never truly blessed someone aside from those who truly impressed you with the beauty of their art form. Like Minako, and Sakura, a swordswoman."

"Ah, I still remember Sakura-san. She wielded a blade with such grace and presence that it'd reminded me of the cherry blossoms dancing in the wind," Konohana stated, smiling and recalling Sakura's swordplay almost as if it were yesterday. "And her legacy is sitting in the stands listening to the one a precious believer of mine left to thrive in the future. Such a coincidence makes me smile."

"Hm, a coincidence, huh?"

Amaterasu stated, wearing a smile.

Kensei and Minako, are close to one another, with both her parents being related to Konohana Sakuya-hime, who stood right beside her. As Minako sang and danced with the fans cheering more and more as the beautiful symphony continued to spread out. Due to the incidents that occurred, and hearing words like 'coincidences' made Amaterasu think back to the beginning.

It wasn't the beginning of the gods, instead, it was the beginning of what would be the strongest clan that could stand side-by-side with the Five Principal Clans.

"It'll be the end of summer soon," Amaterasu stated, wearing a smile as two people entered her mind, almost as if she were thinking of her friends. "Itsuki, Kiyoko, I don't doubt that you'll be proud of your descendant. He might not be the same in terms of personality, but he's rebuilding what you two started."

As the concert continued without a hitch, Kensei continued listening and cheering finding himself thinking back to what he heard over the summer himself. Much like Amaterasu, he couldn't help thinking about where all of it first became, something which he shared with Sirzechs.

During the Edo Period, there were merchants' caravans who were meant to be traveling around to their next town but now found themselves hiding from sight. It wasn't as if the merchants were hiding from anyone, instead, they found themselves moving so that they didn't get in the way.

"Gachi gachi!"

In front of them was a giant fifteen-meter-tall skeleton, a dangerous and hostile Youkai, a Gashadokuro known for attacking innocent people to vent out their frustrations. Its bones were durable enough that no weapon could damage it, let alone the swords or common spells that could purify it. But, the merchants didn't fear what would happen, because a lone swordsman was facing it.

As the Gashadokuro released its dark youki which seemed to taint the atmosphere as it 'breathed' with its yellow eyes staring at it. It swung its arms and released youki, but none of its attacks reached the lone swordsman, who seemed to move from one spot to another despite being Human. The swordsman in question was a black-haired young man with long hair, bearing scarlet highlights, red eyes, and a handsome appearance one would mistake for a nobleman. He adorned a scarlet red haori, a black nagagi kimono, a black umanori-styled hakama, and a pair of zouri.

It was the man who would bear the last name, Amagiri, Itsuki as a nineteen-year-old, having spent three years at his relative's home before residing to travel around Japan. It would be something that one would refer to as a warrior's pilgrimage, desiring to complete what his father couldn't and to return the favor of the god who gifted and taught him about his inborn abilities.

But, he wasn't unarmed in this situation, as a sword rested in his hands and a sheath rested at his hip, both with a pure white color which one would refer to as the closest to 'divine'. It was his beloved sword, Shirogane, which has now become a sacred treasure among the Amagiri Clan.

As the Gashadokuro continued attacking Itsuki, his footwork which was amplified by Ki made him seem almost as if he were the phantom. Not a single one of its attacks landed on the swordsman, with Itsuki continuing to strike the gigantic Youkai from different angles. Each attack landed on the Youkai and was wreathed in the flames that he obtained from the god who blessed him, with the hostile aura it released at first seeming to fade with each hit.

"Gachi gachi gachi!"

The skeleton Youkai kept making the same sound from its bones and teeth rattling seeming to be almost a sign of the frustration that it was feeling in that instance. It continued to release dark youki from its gigantic skeletal body, before charging straight at Itsuki.

"I can feel the hatred and fleeting emotions residing in your bones," Itsuki stated as flames enshrouded his blade, having no hatred or aggression within his blade. But, the flames around Shirogane didn't seem to stop increasing but almost no ill intent could be felt from them. "Amagiri-ryuu, Jouen Issen."

Instead of the Gashadokuro crashing into him as it instead, it seemed almost as if Itsuki walked passed it, with no issue at all. The flames that wreathed Shirogane vanished from sight as he sheathed the white blade without the slightest hint of malice. A cut appeared in the middle of the Gashadokuro before it was enshrouded in flames, its bones seemed to start turning to dust as if it were being cremated. Not a single hint of malice could be felt from the presence that it left behind, causing a weight to be lifted.

[Oooooo!]

In response to witnessing such a feat, the merchants watching sounded nothing short of impressed by what the man did in front of them. Hearing such praise caused the powerful and skilled swordsman to become bashful as if it were the first time.

"Itsuki-sama, I'm truly mesmerized by your performance. I couldn't believe that someone of your caliber decided to be our bodyguard was a surprise. It truly feels as if we were blessed."

The lead merchant stated bowing his head to Itsuki.

"No, there's no need for such words. You asked for me to protect you until your destination, and that's something I'll continue doing," Itsuki replied, giving a kind smile. "Now, we can continue to your…."

"You're such a wonderful person, Itsuki-chan!"

An unfamiliar female voice caught his attention.

Suddenly, Itsuki found himself moving his head to the side as someone tried striking him with their hand just from behind him. It wasn't a simple strike as there was a particular 'aura' that was wrapped around it, with Itsuki then reacting by tapping them in the forehead with the butt of his sheath.

"Ugh, you're so mean, hitting me with that kind of sword. It's hurts."

She replied as the area of her forehead turned red.

"…?"

The merchant looked confused at the further antics between them.

"I apologize for my friend."

Itsuki replied, bowing his head.

"No, that's fine. Your friend has been helpful, defending us and having a good spirit. I'll check and see if there will be any troubles before we depart."

The lead merchant stated, causing Itsuki to turn to his 'friend'.

"I hoped that you'd stop doing that in situations like this."

Itsuki stated, not seeing the point in his 'friend' doing that.

"Well, you can't blame me, from time to time, it looks as if you're untouchable. So, I want to test it."

His 'friend' replied.

"I don't know if that's what friends do, Runeas-dono."

Itsuki replied, finding himself not seeing her reasoning.

In front of him was a transcendental, almost unrivaled beauty, seeming around the same age as himself, she had a beautiful figure and large breasts. But, the most defining feature seemed to be her crimson hair that had been tied in the back and lavender eyes. She was, of course, dressed in a kimono that fit the outfit that most women in Japan would wear. Despite seeming to be a normal woman, she wasn't as Runeas referred to herself as a Pure-Blooded Devil, not just a normal one but the first of her kind.

Her last name was Gremory, and she seemed to have made it a habit to travel around the Human World, which led her to meet Itsuki. It was after defeating a Youkai, with her interest in him seeming to develop from that, on top of his scarlet highlights catching her attention.

Itsuki could tell that she wasn't evil or malicious, but instead mischievous as Runeas would often attempt to pull a wide assortment of pranks on him. It appeared as if the Spirit Sword which Amakuni, a swordsmith whom Itsuki aided in the past affected her species. Such an odd occurrence, but Itsuki didn't mind her presence, as it meant that he had a companion. And Runeas taught him a lot about her faction which consisted of Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils, on top of the existence of others.

Of course, it was something that he somewhat heard about from the Fire God who bestowed his blessing on him and taught him about his abilities. Hearing it from someone of that faction was an interesting thing that he couldn't pass out on. However, he would need to leave her behind when it came to him being near shrines, as it wasn't a good thing for their species to be around holy places.

"Hm, well, it's something that'll ensure that your reaction time remains sharp."

Runeas stated smiling at him.

"…."

Itsuki stared at her, never wanting to call someone a liar, but he almost didn't believe those words.

Neither of them continued their conversation as it seemed like the merchants seemed prepared to move, with the horses beginning to move. After that Itsuki continued leading them to their chosen destination, something which lasted through the night as the sun seemed to start rising, and they arrived on time. Underhandedly, Runeas is capable of teleporting them from one location to another, but the complications that would arise would cause a lot more trouble. Besides, Runeas found herself living in this situation as she got to experience something that she had no experience in.

And for her, Itsuki wasn't like anyone that she met around the Human World, let alone anyone among the Devils being anything like time. It sparked the desire to see more and more about the kind of person that Itsuki was.

Not much time passed until Itsuki led the merchants to their destination, receiving his payment for the job, when it came to leading them there. After their business and trade succeeded more than expected, Itsuki obtained a bonus. Not wanting to turn down the man's kind gesture, he decided to take the extra payment as a gift.

"Hm, so what's next?"

Runeas asked.

"Don't know."

Itsuki replied.

Both sat down with a bowl of soba noodles and tempura in front of them, with the two eating together as a usual routine. Itsuki finished his job and had no idea of what he would do next, it was waiting for a new job or training to obtain another technique for his martial art.

"Hm, ever thought of building a home somewhere?"

Runeas asked.

"A home?"

Itsuki replied, wondering about that.

"You do travel around, train, help people, and go on jobs, but you're never returning to a home. Everyone needs a place where they can belong."

Runeas stated, sharing some wisdom.

"I have thought of it, but I've been too busy to consider it."

"You shouldn't wait for too long. You're young now, but you'll be an old man before you know it."

"And how about you?"

"Hm, I'll continue looking as young as I want. But, I doubt that I'll remain me if I continue living like this," Itsuki could hear that Runeas didn't want to become someone she wasn't. "Eh, there's a lot of stuff happening inside the Underworld that makes you think that continuing to live like this can impact who you are. A friend of mine once said that if things continued then the Underworld would turn into a corrupted place where Devils have no backbone. I don't doubt him, because he's one of the few of us who thinks of the future for our descendants. Not unlike that one guy who tries to control everything, which is why I don't tell people I'm still around."

"Your friend sounds as if he's kind. If I had descendants, then I'd want them to decide what's their right, not telling them things that'll force an opinion on them."

Itsuki replied as he ate the last tempura.

"Yeah, but I can't see the future. So, I don't know what'll happen," Runeas stated, finding herself drinking out the tea beside her. "If you're going to start your own family, though you'll need a surname."

"A surname?"

Itsuki was born into a family of farmers, so having a last name wasn't that was allowed. But, he was a bodyguard who was gaining fame among swordsmen caused of a lot of the people he helped.

"How about Amagiri? I mean that's the name you called your martial art."

Runeas suggested.

"Hmm."

Itsuki thought about it, one of the reasons that his martial art was called 'Amagiri' was caused by the heat that he released from his flames forming a mist near the lake with the people watching the entire thing noticing that it looked almost 'divine'.

"Itsuki Amagiri."

"See it sounds right."

Runeas stated, with her liking how it sounded.

"Did you hear?"

"What?"

As the two talked, something caught their attention, it was a conversation that seemed to be between merchants.

"Someone mentioned that there's a reward going out to someone able to solve the issue concerning the owner of some town. If you solve it, then the town will belong to you."

"A town. An entire town will be handed to you. That sounds too good to be true. Being in ownership of an entire town is the same as becoming nobility."

"But, apparently no samurai or rumored people with otherworldly abilities could do anything for the person who'd made the request. I hear that they're starting to lose hope of people solving this."

"Well, what's the worst that could happen?"

"Hm, I heard rumors that it's life and death."

As Itsuki listened to the conversation, he had found himself standing up having heard that there was an important assignment that no one could solve. Hearing that it was something where someone's life was in danger, with the chances might be true wasn't something that Itsuki could ignore.

"Excuse me, but where is this location?"

Itsuki politely asked.

"Hm, oh are you interested? Well, it's a fair distance from here in that direction. No, I think that the samurai who went there still has the information. He went over there."

The merchant replied, pointing in the direction where the samurai went.

"Thank you."

"Hm, it seems that we're going somewhere else."

Runeas stated, smiling at the thought of going on another adventure.

After that Itsuki managed to locate the samurai who seemed to be somewhat wounded, but not to the point where it was noticeable. It was then that he received information on the location and the fact that there was an additional rumor that some 'special clan' would be sent if things escalated. Itsuki heard that hidden among Japan there was a collection of special power-users similar to himself, and some of them did their duties without discretion of who their targets were. If such people met and noticed Runeas, then that would cause a major incident.

So, it further led to his decision to settle things before someone ended up getting hurt in the aftermath of this incident happened to be. Due to the samurai, he learned that the person who made the request was one that a blade couldn't touch. Hearing such a thing, caused Itsuki to quicken his pace to that location, then moved to that location through Runeas' magic.

Arriving there, Itsuki and Runeas found themselves in a town still in development, farmers were working in the fields, and craftsmen working on homes. Overall, it looked like a peaceful location where the people there were working together in unison. More than that, the two visitors could sense that there was a spiritual presence that flowed throughout the town.

"Hm, it seems as if there are some good ley lines here."

Runeas stated, wearing a surprised look as she felt that presence around here.

"You're right, it feels almost as if I stepped into a place different from the town we were just in."

Itsuki added.

"But, it feels as if we aren't that welcomed."

As Runeas pointed out, it looked as if there were different people, adults, and elderly people, in particular, who'd taken faint looks at them from time to time. It wasn't overly hostile, it simply looked as if they weren't too keen on outsiders something that Itsuki also heard from the samurai.

"…are you here for our milady?"

An older man walking around with a cane asked, standing in front of Itsuki.

It didn't seem as if he wanted to speak with Itsuki, but it seemed almost as if he had no choice otherwise.

"If you're referring to the one who made the request then yes."

Itsuki replied, sounding as gentle and kind as usual.

"…."

It was something that seemed to surprise the old man, but his expression still seemed to be the same.

"Then you'll need to head to the shrine over there."

The man replied, pointing at the shrine that was located there.

"Hm, I'll remain here and look around. I'm not that into shrines."

Runeas stated, wearing a smile, but Itsuki could see that there was something else to it.

"Alright, I'll be back."

Itsuki noticing that Runeas was serious about remaining there, continued in the direction of the shrine, with these citizens staring at him as he walked there. As he left, Runeas found herself standing there, placing a hand right on her chest as she stared at the shrine.

"This feeling of oppression."

Runeas stated, finding herself having an odd yet familiar feeling as she stared at the shrine there was also a good number of people looking forward to something. It was then that she decided to look around and see if there was something she could learn.

As Itsuki kept walking to the shrine, he could see that more of the people there found themselves staring at him, in particular, Shirogane resting at his side. It made him wonder more and more about what was happening, but it looked as if the people were concerned. Not for him, but for whoever he was going to meet. Itsuki marched up all the steps leading to the main shrine with him feeling a strong spiritual presence. But, mixed on top of that, there was a malicious presence.

Not much time passed, but as he walked, Itsuki could see that there was some damage done to the shrine, but it looked to have been repaired over time. But, he entered the shrine after walking through the torii, then continued following the one human presence that he felt.

"Hm?"

Itsuki walked up and could see that there was a beautiful black-haired young woman dressed in clothing that one would see a shrine maiden adorned in. She knelt in front of a shrine with her hands together and seemed to have been praying. He entered the shrine, but he noticed that the woman was concentrating, not registering his presence. Not wanting to disturb her prayer, so instead Itsuki took a seat on the floor as to let the woman keep on with her prayer.

Almost an hour seemed to pass as the woman prayed without seeming to notice Itsuki's presence, but once her focus lowered she could sense someone's presence. It was then that she turned to find that he too was sitting in a meditative position with his sword resting on his lap. As if noticing the woman was complete, Itsuki opened up his eyes and their eyes met.

His red eyes which were almost like rubies met violet eyes that were almost like amethyst, causing the two to lock eyes with one another.

"My apologies, I didn't mean to make you wait this long. My prayers seem to be taking longer and longer for me to complete," the young woman seemed to have stopped looking to not get attached to someone, then found herself giving a bow to Itsuki. "My name is Kiyoko Higurashi."

"Hello, my name is Itsuki."

Itsuki introduced himself, causing Kiyoko to raise her head as she felt a strong spiritual presence around him. Noticing such a thing made her feel almost a sense of relief, almost as if something she could be freed from whatever seemed to be binding her. More than that, the people living there would be free.

"I'm glad to see that someone else took their time to respond to my request."

"No, I simply heard about it from a passing samurai and came to see if I could provide aid."

"Ha, is that so, then this must be fate that you appeared. None of the samurai or those who used spiritual powers were as strong as you are. But, it seems as if my desires will come true."

Kiyoko stated as she gave an almost ghostly smile.

"The samurai told me that this request wasn't something that a normal person could do. And that a sword could do no damage," Itsuki started, with him looking on to find that Kiyoko continued listening to him. "I have fought an assortment of beings and solved similar situations for others. So, if possible, I'll fulfill your request for your sake."

"…."

Kiyoko found herself surprised by those words as she listened to them. She had met a lot of samurai and magic users, but none of them seemed to have such an earnest spirit, with Itsuki seeming more and more like someone whose heart was as pure as the sword on his lap. A hint of emotions rose from her chest, but Kiyoko kept it from interfering with the request.

"I have but one request, but if you're as strong as I hope. It'll be a simple task," Kiyoko stated, as she remained in a sitting position before kneeling on the ground as her forehead and hands touched the shrine's floors. "Please, I ask that you kill me."

"…Itsuki couldn't utter a single word as she unveiled the request, his eyes widened as he believed his hearing, in addition to knowing that Kiyoko was serious. "What do you mean?"

"…I am someone who seemed to have been born with an irregular ability, one that seems to be getting stronger as time passes. But, that ability seems to let me seal supernatural beings," Kiyoko explained, as she leaned back up, with a saddened look. "Our home seems to possess ley lines that attract such beings to it, some of them are at a level where I can handle them. But, others were too strong for me to handle alone. So, I kept on sealing them within me."

"Inside?"

Itsuki seemed confused, but then Kiyoko started to undo her kosode much to his surprise as his face turned red, then tried adverting his gaze. But, then after being urged by her, he turned back around and was surprised by the thing he noticed. On Kiyoko's stomach, there was a deep black pentagram on her stomach that seemed to be leaking out a malicious aura. After that, she redid her kosode, with visibly flushed cheeks, for her, this was the first time that she'd shown her skin to someone.

"I sealed too many demons and spirits using the seal, and I'm starting to lose control of it. If nothing is done, then I'm afraid that it'll cause a disaster in this town."

Kiyoko stated.

"But, to kill you…."

"I'm sorry to ask you to do something like that, but I can't do it myself. I have tried killing myself when I felt that it was getting beyond my control, but the demon that's manifesting won't let me die. If I die, it dies. No normal man can kill me either, if a blade reaches me, then its aura manifests before it touches me. I'm losing control as time passes. Due to the spiritual power of this shrine and praying hourly, I'm capable of keeping it under control, but it isn't helping much anymore. It seems starvation isn't enough to kill me either."

Itsuki could hear that Kiyoko was desperate, being unable to leave the shrine, and could see that she looked a bit thinner and smaller than she should be.

"How much time do you have left?"

Itsuki asked, knowing that such a life was torture for someone.

"If I'm being hopeful, then I still have some days left. But, I truly don't know."

Kiyoko replied.

"Hm, I'll need some time to think. I also have a friend in town who has more experience than me."

"Ah, that Pure-Blooded Devil," Kiyoko stated, surprising Itsuki that she was aware of that. "For some reason, I'm able to sense her presence here. Please take the time you need."

Itsuki could hear that Kiyoko was being considerate to him, despite her desperation, and caused him to feel that she was the kindest person he'd met since Runeas. He left the shrine, leaving Kiyoko there alone as she noticed his presence becoming fainter and fainter.

"He'll be back. I don't doubt that it'll be the end of it all. I just need to endure it as I have before. I just need to put up with it until it's over."

Kiyoko uttered to herself, determined to continue enduring.

[But, when will it end?]

"…!"

Kiyoko heard the 'it's' voice again, causing her eyes to widen as her fears started returning, but she kept up hope it'd be over soon without something terrible occurring.

"Oh, there's no doubt that thing is here."

Runeas stated, sitting down in a small restaurant as she seemed to be reminiscing.

"What thing?"

"That Sacred Gear that a man named King Solomon used. I don't know what it was called, but for use Devil it's the Ring of Solomon. In the Human World, Devils became known due to a man a long time ago, having one of God's Sacred Gears that lets him command the supernatural. He summoned the Devils among the Seventy-Two Pillars, then controlled us so that we divulged our secrets which he put into a book. I never thought that I'd ever see that here."

Runeas explained as she looked on wondering what the chances were.

"Is there anything that could be done for her?"

"Don't know, King Solomon didn't go through something like that. In his situation, it was a ring that he'd used to command us. It wasn't a seal that manifested in someone's stomach and I don't know if that ring could seal any other beings. Hmm, the Sacred Gear might have turned into something else. Those are Sacred Gears, uncertain and odd things that God left for Humans. But, if all those spirits and demons turned into one, then she has the right to be afraid of what'll happen. More so, if it goes into 'that' state."

"And that is…."

"Hm, excuse me."

Itsuki and Runeas looked on surprised to find that a young girl was standing there staring at him.

"Yes."

"Um, are you two here for Kiyoko-chan too?"

"We're here to help."

"Then can you please save her?!"

The girl requested.

"Huh?"

"She was nice and kind to my grandma. I heard she helped people a lot. I went to the shrine to see her, and she smiled at me, but my grandpa said that she couldn't leave. People always come by saying a lot of mean things, calling her mean names after leaving. But, Kiyoko-chan is nice and…."

"It's okay dear child. The young man said he'll help, and I believe him," as the young girl seemed to start crying, her grandma walked up and placed a comforting hand on her head. "I'm sorry for the interruption."

"No it's fine, everyone must love her."

"Of course, that child there has been doing this since she was a girl herself. Not that much older than the little one here."

"Huh, she's been doing that for so long."

"Yes, her parents were kind people, they helped us and protected us from evil creatures. She lost her parents at a young age, and then the spirits and beings that came for the power contained here all vanished. I don't know how many times she's done this. I don't even know how many bad things are in her, and how much she's endured for our sake. But, such a fate shouldn't be left to that child."

After that, the old woman took her granddaughter and moved back to their place.

"I have heard similar things around town. This child, Kiyoko is loved by everyone here for her selfless acts. But, I don't know how long she's able to keep it up. If anything, then death might be a blessing. Unless you're able to purify the demon."

Runeas stated, staring at Itsuki.

"If purifying it was the case, then I'm sure that the mystic people would've done it. Kiyoko stated that killing her meant that the demon died too. But, if that's the case then the sole means of purifying the demon would be…."

"Gaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Itsuki and Runeas were surprised to hear pained screams originating from the outside, but they didn't originate from the outside. Instead, it could be heard from a distance, with the same malicious presence being felt at the shrine where Kiyoko was.

"Oh no!"

"Please not Kiyoko-sama."

It seemed as if the people knew what was happening and what would happen, with the adults and children being afraid about what would happen next.

"I'll form a barrier around the town that'll protect the people. You go and deal with it."

Runeas said, showing more strength and confidence.

"Alright."

Itsuki stated, picking up Shirogane, but then looked to notice that the girl from before looking scared. Just before, leaving he placed a hand on her head as she stared up at him.

"I'll help her."

Itsuki stated with a smile before leaving the restaurant, then started leaping from building to building towards the shrine. The presence from the shrine seemed to be getting stronger the closer he got, taking not even a minute to scale the stairs leading to the shrine.

Arriving there, he witnessed Kiyoko on the ground wreathed in pain as a black aura radiated from her, it wasn't a simple aura. It seemed to be conversing with her in that instance.

[There's no need to endure anymore Kiyoko. You can just stop holding me back.]

"N-No, I know you'll turn into a calamity."

[Is that how you refer to your other half? It was a simple spark, nothing as simple as a seed that was planted in you the first time you sealed something. You have talented and spiritual power, but you have no real training and were unable to purify it yourself. But, then as you continued taking in spirit after spirit, Youkai after Youkai, demon after demon. For the people living in this town, but then it turned into me.]

"I'm an inept Miko, but I'll continue protecting them until I die," Kiyoko stated, then turned her attention to Itsuki, who appeared. "Itsuki please, no matter what happens, I have to die or else it'll turn into a monster."

Itsuki could see it, Kiyoko's skin was turning darker as time passed, her sclera turned black and horns seemed to be sprouting from her forehead. Her sense of self-sacrifice for those who would die if it meant that those precious to them was something that Itsuki recalled. It was something that his father did to protect his mother, and it was a love that his mother had for him.

"I didn't come here to end a life. I came here to save a life," Itsuki stated, wearing a smile on his face. "So, I won't kill you, I'll save you."

"…Itsuki."

Kiyoko couldn't stop herself from tearing up as that seemed to be the last words she heard before her sole consciousness faded. A malicious aura surrounded her, turning into a shell that covered her, with Itsuki preparing his sword as the shell started fragmenting. It shattered revealing someone who wasn't Kiyoko standing there, with a stronger presence that made the atmosphere intense.

Standing there, was someone that resembled Kiyoko, her turn turned dark, her hair turned white, horns protruded from her forehead, elongated ears, sharp canines, and a tail that sprouted from her back. She opened her eyes with the black sclera, and she stared at her clawed hands.

"Heh, heh, heh, hahahahaha!"

She laughed and seemed amused about what happened, placing her hand on her stomach as the seal could be seen on her stomach.

"Doesn't this feel great Kiyoko? You don't have to hold it back anymore! If could've been easier if you hadn't kept up this routine for so many years!"

Her voice boomed seeming to shake the air, causing Itsuki to realize something.

"She's the strongest opponent that I've faced thus far."

Itsuki reasoned as she laughed before stopping and turning to his face with a smile.

"I was almost worried about you, I thought that you'd kill Kiyoko after coming here. If you had, then I would have been killed too. And then there was that Devil too," 'Kiyoko' stated, shrugging her shoulders. "But, you didn't kill us. And so, I feel as if I'm experiencing the same feeling as my Kiyoko."

"Feeling?"

"Love. I could feel it from within Kiyoko, you're not just handsome, but kind too. You didn't judge her. You didn't kill her for ownership of the town or the ley lines. So, she could do nothing but fall in love. And since I feel every single thing that Kiyoko feels, I can't help feeling the same thing."

'Kiyoko' stated, having flushed cheeks.

"…," Itsuki didn't know what to think, he did feel some women's attention was on him, aside from Runeas, who felt closer to a friend or older sibling, more so as she teased and tried pulling stunts on him. "…what do you plan on doing?"

"Hm, that's a good question. Despite Kiyoko's worries, I don't plan on killing the people here. But, it doesn't mean as if anyone would accept me. So, after I accumulate enough power from the ley lines, I doubt turning those in down into demons like me and turn this place into a home."

"I can't let that happen."

"Hm, why not?"

'Kiyoko' asked confused.

"Your actions would turn them into targets for those who target being like you."

"Hm, not unless they're strong enough that no one could kill them. Ah, you're going to be troublesome, but I don't want to kill you. So…," after that 'Kiyoko' vanished from sight, then appeared in front of Itsuki with her fist reeled back. "I'll beat you into submission."

Itsuki was knocked backward out of the shrine, causing an explosion from the impact as he was sent backward into the air. After that 'Kiyoko' looked as if there wasn't that much of an impact, then looked to see that Shirogane was used to block the punch. Landing on the ground, Itsuki unsheathed Shirogane and found himself looking on with a more serious look.

"Come on, do you need to fight me? I don't want to kill anyone."

"I admit that you believe you're doing any harm. Kiyoko loves the people of this time. You love them too, but it's a distorted love that'll turn them into threats. I don't mean you any ill will, but I refuse to let that happen."

"…fine."

'Kiyoko' seemed irritated by that comment as a black aura radiated from her body, tearing the clothing she was wearing apart. It then turned into black clothing that seemed to bit more of a 'dark' Miko.

"I still love you, but I'll need to beat you near dead."

'Kiyoko' stated showing off her claws.

She was powerful, the accumulation of the demons and spirits that Kiyoko had been sealing within herself which continued from childhood. Itsuki kept himself prepared as Shirogane was raised, and then she vanished once again as their battle at the shrine started. Both of them vanished from one location to another with their figures not looking to remain one one spot for long. Her claws and his sword continued clashing against each other, with 'Kiyoko' on the offensive and acting almost on instinct using maneuvers that Itsuki never witnessed before.

Attacking with the claws on both her hands and feet, her tail, and fast headlong charges, each action seemed to be something that he'd never witnessed before.

"All of this needs to be maneuvers that the demons use. If that's true, then this version of Kiyoko has access to their experience too."

Itsuki thought wearing a calm look.

"Heh~"

As 'Kiyoko' paused, stepping backward she raised her hand into a hand sign.

It was then that a black aura manifested an assortment of weapons around Itsuki, who looked on surprised about what happened. It was then that the weapons soared straight at him, with Itsuki swinging Shirogane around with a flurry of attacks to strike them all down. But, a lot of them seemed to strike his body, tearing his clothing and all of it caused him to bleed.

It was then that he looked forward to finding that 'Kiyoko' pointed her clawed hands at him, with the aura manifesting into a sphere. It was then unleashed straight at him as a blast, as he remained in the air he tightened his grip on Shirogane, as spiritual power was charged into it. As the beam reached him, Itsuki swung it down, releasing a white slash that clashed against it. It granted him enough time to land on the ground as both attacks resulted in an explosion.

"Ah, you're so strong, Itsuki. If we're together, then there's nothing to be afraid of."

'Kiyoko' again stated.

"If she's, in fact, Kiyoko's other half, then her emotions are hers, but distorted. She loves the people of the town, but she wants to make them like her. She wants to belong. She wants someone to like her. She wants to be with everyone," Itsuki thought, then looking on to recall what she said about Kiyoko loving him. "She wants to be loved and accepted. But, those spirits and demons could cause something more troublesome if her feelings change. I can sense that she's steadily getting used to the stored-up power and is starting to use other abilities. If Kiyoko's death killed the demon, then purifying the demon will work too. It'll take a lot of time, but let's go Shirogane."

As if sensing his determination, Shirogane shined as Itsuki decided to use its ability, he started pouring spiritual power into the blade upon sheathing it. Around 'Kiyoko' fire and lightning manifested, before unleashing them at him with no hesitation. He didn't unsheathe his sword, he instead kept moving his body to avoid the attacks fired at him. 'Kiyoko' looked on as attack after attack was fired at Itsuki but he made no attempt at avoiding either one, causing her to continue putting more power into them.

"Huh, how come you stopped fighting back Itsuki? Did you come to the option that you didn't want to hurt me? It's so sweet that you think that."

'Kiyoko' stated.

"…."

Itsuki didn't utter a single word as he kept pouring power into Shirogane, not uttering a single word.

"We'll be a good married couple."

'Kiyoko' stated wearing a smile with blushed cheeks at the thought of that.

"All I need to do is make the proper preparations for our marriage. And to do that I'll need to turn the town into our little paradise!"

At that, 'Kiyoko' manifested two massive dark orbs that radiated with power, as her power seemed to continue to swell up. It was at that moment that Itsuki felt as if his preparations were completed, he placed his hand right on the sheath of Shirogane. He got into position with a determined and straightforward look, his feet were planted firmly on the ground and he ensured that it would be the most ideal strike.

Just as 'Kiyoko' was going to release the attack, she looked to find that Itsuki vanished and appeared in front of her without making a single sound. She looked to find that Shirogane was coming out from its sheath as a white light could be seen covered in it. It wasn't 'light', instead it was his spiritual power that had been infused into the blade, but it seemed different from normal spiritual power.

The reason behind that was Shirogane's ability, "Purification", in essence, his spiritual power had been 'refined', transformed, and sublimated into a power that could be the closest thing to 'divine'. However, Itsuki didn't reach that level of mastery, but this power was enough to rescue Kiyoko.

Flame!

His flames wreathed the white blade, causing them to seem 'different' from normal, but it wasn't simple that. This was another unique trait of the flames he obtained from the Fire God, his emotions and passion seemed to ignite the flames, turning them into ones that burned what he wanted to burn.

"If you want to be recognized, then the first person should be Kiyoko before me or anyone else."

Itsuki stated before swinging his blade releasing a wave of flames that enshroud 'Kiyoko'.

"…!"

Despite being engulfed in flames, 'Kiyoko' didn't feel as if she were burning, her power waned, but it wasn't hers, it was the accumulation of demons and spirits that her other half sealed. She wasn't fading, instead, she just slept, with the sclera turning white, the horns, claws, dark skin, and tail, seeming to crumble apart, almost as if they were a shell that contained Kiyoko.

"…."

Her violet eyes looked forward surprised that she could see look at the world like this. But, she was exhausted as a result of the situation, and then her body fell forward without much strength in her limbs. Despite not causing a single burn on the body, it burned off her clothing, with Itsuki acting quickly and covering her with his scarlet haori. He then caught her body with a reddened face from the incident, then cradled her in his arms.

"You're safe."

Itsuki stated smiling at the unconscious woman, with Kiyoko wearing a peaceful expression after all that time of suffering ever since childhood.

"…ah."

Later that night, Kiyoko found herself lying on a futon as she stared at an unfamiliar roof, it wasn't then that her consciousness returned and she sat up.

"You're awake."

Kiyoko looked to find Itsuki and Runeas sitting beside her.

"Well, it's good to see that someone decided to wake up."

Runeas bluntly said.

"I'm, still alive."

Kiyoko stated, looking at her hands and then stomach to find that the seal wasn't releasing a deep malicious aura as it did before.

"Well, you're better than ever. I think that it'll tell the people that you're alright."

Runeas said, standing up then started walking outside of the home.

"Where are we?"

"In a physician's office in town."

"In town. So, I'm not in the shrine anymore," Kiyoko stated, almost not believing those words. "You saved me."

"I kept my promise."

Itsuki replied, finding himself smiling at her.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you."

"It's alright. But, there's something that I want to tell you."

"Hm, what?"

"My friend brought someone from the Underworld who is a medical practitioner and had them examine you. And it seems as if having those demons and spirits sealed in your body, then that transformation from before caused a 'change' in you."

"Change how?"

Kiyoko asked, but she noticed that there was something different than before. Her senses seemed to be sharper compared to normal, and could almost sense the people gathered around the physician's office without needing to focus.

"Is that so? It's understandable, I had those demons and spirits sealed in me for so long that it changed me. But, it was all my fault in the end."

"How so?"

"I didn't try to understand the other half of me. I just thought that she was a monster born from the other things I'd sealed in me," Kiyoko started, remembering her previous experience. "I was sleeping in darkness, but I could see it all. Everything she felt. She wanted me to acknowledge her, she wanted me to pay attention to her. But, I didn't and instead rejected her. And that caused all this."

"But, she's not gone, is she?"

"No, I can still feel her, but she's locked herself up."

"Then you'll just have to reach out until you feel as if you're ready to reach out. She is a part of you that wants to be recognized."

Itsuki stated, smiling at the thought, with Kiyoko feeling the emotions behind that.

"Um, also, about what she said…."

She then became flustered, recalling all the words that the other half said, with Itsuki thinking about recalling the words without being able to hide them with a calm expression.

"We can talk about that later until you're prepared to talk about it."

Itsuki stated.

"Alright then," Kiyoko immediately replied. "Also, since you completed the request, this is your town now."

"No, I can't accept that. Part of that request involved me killing you, and I refuse to accept that. Besides, all these people acknowledge you, not me."

"But, then how can I repay you."

"Instead of me owning the town, can I build a home here," Itsuki started, then found themselves scratching his cheek. "My friend said that I need a place to return to sometimes, and I find this place to be comfortable. The ley lines aside, the people here are close to each other like a family."

"If that's all, then I'll prepare a home for you."

Kiyoko started wearing a smile.

"So, what's the name of this town?"

"Oh, my family named it Kibou Town, because they wanted it to be a place where anyone can have hope to live a comfortable life together."

Kiyoko replied, with Itsuki smiling at the thought of that.

If had to be honest, she was someone who had a strong and pure soul to endure so much pain and all the different powers that swirled in her body. He doubt that there would have been a child who could withstand that for all those years and maintain their consciousness without changing who they were.

"Oh, I see," it was then that Runeas returned wearing a smile on her face with the two inside developing flushed faces. "Well, some people wanted to come and check up on you."

After that Runeas moved aside as the first to enter the room were children, who rushed at Kiyoko with their small arms wrapped around her.

[Kiyoko-chan!]

The children there had tears streaming down their faces as they clung onto Kiyoko who smiled back at them with a smile. She then placed a comforting hand on their heads as their tears stained her covers while speaking to all of them in a comforting tone. In the room, the old men and women who knew most of what Kiyoko endured for all of them looked on glad that it was all over, and she remained herself.

"Well, that's another adventure done and someone got a new home."

Runeas stated wearing a smile.

"Yes. It's a good place to live and a good person is leading it all."

Itsuki added wearing a smile himself, feeling almost hopelessly enamored.

Runeas looked on, smiling as it seemed as if her friend found somewhere to belong and there was potential for a romance for him in the future.

"Young man, might I ask what your name is? I want to thank you personally."

An old man approached Itsuki with that question out in the air.

"My name is Itsuki Amagiri."

Itsuki replied, with Runeas smiling with a bright look at him accepting her idea for a last name.

His friendship with the First Gremory, Runeas; his meeting with Kiyoko Higurashi, who would take the last name, Amagiri; finding his way into Kibou Town, and building a home there. And this would be the beginning of what'll turn Kibou Town and the Amagiri Clan into what it became.

A/N: And there goes the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, this is the final chapter for this volume, with Yasaka getting over the past and Kunou learning about her paternal lineage, both of them deciding to face their future. With them sharing more of their love with Kensei. Minako had her concert at the summer festival with Koneko as her bodyguard, whom Kensei went around with for the summer festival, as their promised date. But, there's going to be more than that in the future. In the end, the goddesses, Amaterasu and Konohana Sakuya-hime watched the entire event together.

After that, there was another Itsuki backstory, where he was shown as a close friend of Runeas Gremory who he often traveled around with, avoiding her mischief. But, this was also the meeting between himself and his future wife, Kiyoko Higurashi at Kibou Town in the past.

She had a Sacred Gear that commands and also seals supernatural beings based on Solomon's Ring which was used by King Solomon to compile the book about demons like those of the 72 Pillars. I always wanted to include a Sacred Gear based on that and thought that this would be a good situation for it. In the end, Kiyoko turned into a demon which Runeas thought would result in a Balance Breaker. Despite being saved by Itsuki, that still caused a mutation that changed her body. Due to that, the Amagiri Clan has the "ideal genetics" for things related to the supernatural, and why both the teens and children were turned into the Mazoku. Aside from that they inherited Kiyoko's strong soul to withstand influences.

Well, this is the end of one volume before the next one. But, I'm just letting you know that the inclusion of Xenovia into the harem is still out in the open and hasn't been finalized. So, if you have any opinions before then, it's still open.

Kensei's Harem: Alice, Claire, Hisui, Kunou, Yasaka, Lu Lingqi, Sarah, Minako, Koneko, Kuroka, Ravel, Amaterasu, Brynhildr, Rossweisse, Ophis, Misaki.
